The ladies in the pharmacy are the best! Yes, there's shipping delays. Yes, everyone is understaffed. They do a great job to keep powering through despite setbacks. They're always friendly and helpful. I work for the fire dept and en route to an incident my gear bag fell out of the engine. It had my prescriptions in it. They called me and said someone had found it and helped facilitate me getting my bag back!!! Who else would go that extra mile! read more

The pharmacy here is horrible. first of all these ladies have major attitude problems. Their microphone does not work at all (drive threw window) we Had to ask the lady to repeat herself a couple times and then she would get angry and yell her response to us with attitude. well I guess we couldn't hear her tell us that they close at 6 o'clock and when we got back two minutes after six another very rude lady told us that they were closed. She even had the nerve to argue with my mother-in-law about giving us our prescription back and yelling at us calling us liars. My son is very sick with an ear infection in both ears (he is only 18 months) and now having to drive around looking for an open pharmacy on memorial day weekend. Horrible customer service from check ID 60146757. I place my bag on counter she rang me up took my money and went to another register with out bagging my items, without a thank you, smile or any kind of personal care. I was in here one evening and an employee was complaining about a missed break to another person. I told the cashier she was complaining to the conversation was uncalled for in front of customers, he said I agree. I then asked if there was a manager on site, he said I am the manager. Really?? I have been going to this store on and off (I prefer Walgreens) for 12 years, I won't go again. Shitty people with shitty attitudes and shitty customer service. read more

I can't say I wasn't warned by many, but I thought the convenience of the drive-thru pharmacy would outweigh all the negative information I heard about the pharmacy manager, (Ann Fukumoto). I was wrong. I have had several situations occur in regards to her... The very first situation involved a medication I've been on for over a decade. After waiting for it to be filled and I finally called to ask what was going on. Ann finally called me back and said that the drs office didn't approve the dose/medication; that my dr office said I didn't take that dose/medication. So I called my dr office and no one there could understand why she would say that. The person I talked to asked the other receptionists (and anyone else that could've handled the call) if they knew what Ann could be referring to. The receptionist said that none of them had received a call from her, and if they had, none of them would've said I didn't take that medication because it is right there in my chart. This was the first time anything like that had happened like that. So I'm not sure who was right/wrong, but it seemed to set the tone of what was to come. Another situation was in regards to a prescription that should have been filled as name brand, but it was filled as generic. I paid $260 out of pocket, and was told that it'd be reimbursed. However, since the prescription was mistakenly filled as generic, rather than name brand (and my insurance only covers the name brand) I was almost out the $260 for a mistake that wasn't my own; but thankfully my insurance reimbursed me after an appeal. I was told by the insurance and pbm that she should have know to fill it as name brand (I'm not sure if that's actually true, or them trying to pass the buck. But...) Another situation was an overcharge of $75. I was told I should be easily reimbursed by the pharmacy; however the manager, Ann, said it wasnt possible. My health insurance plan and pbm both seperately said that she was either lazy or trying to make things difficult. (Again, I'm not sure if that's actually true, or the pbm and insurance company were both just trying to pass the buck. But...) Another frustrating thing is that I have a prescription that I'm supposed to take at 6am, but she won't fill it until the day it's due, so I have to wait until they open and take it later on that day. I've also had to reschedule a leave time/day for a vacation because she would not fill the prescription one day early, even though I explained the situation. Very frustrating. Then today, I go into the store to pick up my prescription (a prescription that I received a text and phone call saying it would be filled and ready for pick up today), and Ann would not fill it because according to her, it's a day early (even though rite-aid texted and called to tell me to pick it up today; I also confirmed this date with someone at the pharmacy beforehand). This wouldn't seem like a big deal, but since tomorrow is Monday and the start of the workweek, I now have to rearrange my entire schedule just to pick up the stupid prescription tomorrow. I guess anything is subject to change when she is involved. I haven't had any problems with any of the other pharmacists or pharm techs there, only Ann. I would normally think it's something personal, except that I know of several other people with similar stories. I feel kind of bad writing this, as she might be a very nice person on a personal level; but this type of crap gets very, very frustrating. read more

I do not think this pharmacy should get one star the people in the pharmacy are rude and obnoxious. We went there last night at 9 pm after being seen in the ER and Miss Peggy said we close at 10 you will need to come back in the morning. No... we need the medication now she was so upset. She was rude and acted like we were not standing at the counter the she told the druggist we were not leaving he said it was too late I refused to leave. I was just in at the pharmacy here.... I just gave birth to my daughter on Friday and released late Saturday night and couldn't get there on Friday. I usually go to Walgreens in Modesto because that's where I work and stay normally but was staying where I had help (in Oakdale). He told me he "could not " fill my prescription because I normally go elsewhere. And asked me why I'm taking the prescription I was prescribed in my third trimester... mind you i freshly had a baby! That is not ok! Then leaving upset that I was treated this way my mom called to ask why and he said it's his preference that I go to Walgreens in Modesto.... I just had a baby and Cannot drive.... hence why I wanted to pick it up there. HUGE MISTAKE!!!! I wouldn't give this place your business. I hope that no one else is ever treated this way. Major fundamental problems. Nothing to do with the employee, but rather a infrastructure issue with the organization, but they are awful. Unable to fill a prescription for me due to being out of stock. Major supply issues, my script is ready to be filled but they can't get the item in stock. Short Rite aide stock. I have money in hand ready to give them, but they can't get a common script on the pharmacy for 6 days. Yeah for Walgreens, go Sam. Then they post a follow up and tell me to call their 800 number. As if I did not try that first. They are a business and I am trying to buy merchandise form them but they are insisting that I wait due their inability to keep merchandise on the self and then when the orders do come in they stated that I would have to drive to two different stores to get all of my prescriptions. read more

I have only used this pharmacy twice. Two years ago after having a surgery on my spine I went to pick up prescription. I was obviously in significant pain. I had an incision visible across my neck. The staff was so rude I refused to go back until today. I thought I would give them another chance. I dropped my prescription off went home and got my bike and rode back to pick it up. I waited behind three cars for my turn. When I got to the work window they refused to give me my prescription at the window because only motorized vehicles are allowed. There is no posted sign and no other cars in line. There was no way I was going to leave a $700 bicycle in front of a store in Oakdale. It would have been stolen in seconds. When I asked for my prescription back, so I could take it some where else, they did agree to walk the medication to me at the front of the store. But you would think that a company whose mission is to "Improve the health and wellness of our community..." would be more supportive of someone doing what she can to improve health and wellness by becoming more physically active. I will never go back to Rite Aid again. I will encourage anyone I can to do the same. read more

The absolute worst in the history of the world. Today was it for me. Stood in line for 15 minutes while tech argued with a father who was told the previous day that his prescription would be ready today. After she chased him off the tech went and attempted to help someone in the drive thru. That was a disaster as the tech couldn't quite convey the need for insurance. The tech then muddled her way back and forth between the rx is stored and the drive up window. As I stood and watched the inefficiency I realized that I have been using this pharmacy for at least eight years and its been the same since day one. Today I've taken the steps to move to Walgreens. I looked everywhere for a pharmacy that dispenses FazaClo. After trying several CVS stores, I decided to try Rite Aid. I know it is a pain to order because it is a weekly fill. They have made it a comfortable experience for me. The staff and pharmacists are always friendly as well. read more

This location isn't bad as a whole and quite frankly the only reason I've given it a 2 star instead of 1 is because I like the staff in the store itself. The pharmacy on the other hand has provided me and my family NOTHING but trouble. Unless you specifically work to get the attention of an associate working behind the counter they will go above and beyond to ignore you and not look in your direction for as long as possible. Even once you've gotten their attention, if you receive a "we'll be right with you" you're beyond lucky to receive such posh treatment (please note the sarcasm). They act as though you're inconveniencing them when you need to pick up your NECESSARY prescription(s). They have the option of providing a phone number to receive text messages or phone calls when your prescription is ready and the only time I have ever been notified of a prescription being ready was 2 hours AFTER I'd already picked up the prescription. I never receive notifications of any kind so my guess is as good as a stranger's as to when my prescriptions will be ready. They're even automated calls so pharmacists don't even have to talk on the phone themselves. How much easier can it get? When there's an issue with my prescription, unless I go out of my way to go and check on it in store, I receive no phone call saying there's an issue. How am I supposed to know there's an issue and the prescription can't be filled if they can't be bothered to call one of the TWO phone numbers I've provided???? A family member who also uses this pharmacy was recently diagnosed with Diabetes and needs medication. The doctor made a special note at the bottom of the prescription (which both family members who went to the appointment specifically watched him do) and the pharmacy told them there was no note so they couldn't do anything because they need the doctor's permission to fulfill such a request. It's been at least 3 days since the prescription went through but they have yet to fill it. We've been in at least 1-2 times per day and every time all we get is "It's not ready yet but it will be ready tonight or tomorrow". Every time we need something from here in a relatively quick time frame it's a battle with the staff because they are absolutely the laziest people I've ever come across and will not do anything unless they're pushed to do so by the customer. I may as well do their job for them because apparently it's too difficult for them to do it themselves. This pharmacy is the WORST pharmacy I have EVER been to and I'm about ready to drop any and all Rite Aids as a whole because of the pharmacists here. Good riddance. read more
