I like this Rite Aid because when I leave here I feel so much smarter.

Last night at Rite Aid, I met the most blatantly racist clerks ever. Trashy Clerk: (to Latino man) "Next time you come in here, drop your bag on the floor by the door" Latino Man: "Why?" Trashy Clerk: "To cut down on theft" (Latino Man leaves and says he's not coming back) Me: "What about my bag? I could steal all sorts of things in here." Trashy Clerk: "Well, they come in here and hide things in their bags." Me: "Who is 'they'?" Trashy Clerk: "The Mexicans. They come in here and steal." Do not go here. The employees, specifically this old lady with glasses is beyond rude. When I went to pay, she just scanned each item and tells me the amount I have to pay. I tell her I have a rite aid card (so it should be cheaper) and she gives me a big sigh and slams the cash registers. So rude. I then told her I didn't want to buy and I would like my money back. You know you're running out of things to yelp about when you review a Rite Aid. Good deals on hard alcohol, always a at least one top shelf item way cheaper than if you bought it at a grocery store. The pharmacy is also very helpful and moves quickly. But major negative points for just about everything else. The cashiers who work there are bizarre, no other way of putting it. They are either rude, trashy, or incredibly lazy. The only helpful non pharmacist employee is the transgender(?) one. And the people who shop here, besides normal me of course, are a strange bunch also. It seems like Keystone is the #1 seller of all products at this Rite Aid. This is basically the kind of store that you know will get robbed one night when you're there, most likely by a employee. read more

You have to be really really bad for me to give a one-star review, but this Rite Aid is just awful. I've been there twice, and both times I left without buying anything. The checkout was so slow that I decided I would rather leave empty-handed. The whole place just oozes lack of care. Why go here when there's a CVS practically across the street. Even Walgreens is better than this. read more

After stoping into to Rite Aid this afternoon to pick up some batteries I decided to get some of the great ice cream only at rite aid. Only to be rudely spoken to by the scooper and talked back at with some intense attitude. I almost wanted to give the ice cream back. Very disappointed with the service. read more

I ran into this Rite Aid after realizing I forgot makeup remover and hand soap at Trader Joes. No one greeted me when I entered (most cashiers in other locations do) and no one asked me if I needed any help as I wandered through aisles looking to the signs for direction. What made my experience less than desirable was a cashier that was very rude to a non-english speaking patron whose son had run off to get batteries for the remote she was buying. The cashier just kept telling the woman that she needed to move to the side or ring up later and telling her it wasn't fair to the rest of the customers to have to keep waiting, etc. It was all in the delivery that was so unprofessional. AND there was another cashier that came out to assist - so what was the need to be so rude lady?! read more

Best pharmacy around San Rafael. Great staff, great pharmacy. No judgement towards you like cvs and walgreens. Nobody thinks ur stealing wish is great bc nobody wants ur stupid crayons lol. I'm very grateful to have them and they always have my medication on stock! Thank you!!!! read more

The past 2 times I've had to go to this Rite Aid I've gotten crap customer service. Idk the employees name & not sure if he's native american or Latino but he's been at the register the last 2 times I've gone in & has a shitty attitude. No smile. No thank you. Since their remodel, this store is well organized and much easier to navigate. I just got off of the phone with the pharmacy and spoke with Mario who was very helpful and answered my questions regarding medications and interactions. I do agree that this pharmacy tends to take a bit longer to fill prescriptions than other pharmacies, but I usually shop around and then come back and it's done. Not sure why everyone is whining about this place so much....it's fine! read more

Won't ever go back to this Rite Aid. The store is unpleasant due to the management and staff. There are always lines and it feels like "lazy staff" that don't care. I haven't been treated so poorly in a long time, given that I am a very pleasant person, and I am in the business of customer service. Very kind staff, but gets a little hard to park especially during after school hours, being right by the high school filled with teens.

Ok, I feel like I have to represent. I go in here a lot since I work down the street and never had a problem. Admittedly I have never used the pharmacy but I have bought greeting cards, candy, all sorts of drugs, batteries, Halloween decorations, sun screen, hair gel, travel soap, whatever. They have a good selection and can always find what I need. Really have not had much interaction with the staff except at the register. read more

This place is great. The employees are a living testament to what happens when you don't go to school.

This is a huge location. There is also a GNC store within the store that is great. Very convenient. It's in a nice strip mall with a Trader Joe's and other useful stores. I feel for the management at times because they get a few vagrants who come in there, some of whom seem to be on something, and they have to graciously address them and get them out of the store without disrupting the other customers. Minus one star because I had an issue once with the pharmacy where I called in a prescription, then went down, and they didn't have the drugs on hand, but no one bothered to let me know before I came down. So I won't use the pharmacy again, but I do like the rest of the store. read more

I have been shopping here since it was Thrifty's. This morning was the last time I will ever set foot in that store again. I walk in the old bleached blond cashier is in a shouting match with a customer, basically being her usual nasty self. The "security guard" immediately starts following me around while I buy makeup, shampoo/condition, styling gel, deep conditioner, a lot of stuff. All the while being spied on by inspector magoo. I then start walking around the store and into the holiday aisle and browse and the nasty bleached blond cashier starts calling overhead for all security camera's on, all security camera's on and here come's inspector magoo skidding into my aisle and I just walked to the front of the store and put my basket down and said I'm taking my business elsewhere. The cashier says you can't leave and I said lady stop me, and I'm backing up what the other lady said YOU ARE RUDE. The "guard" comes up and I walk out and he takes a picture of my car and says he's calling the police, I rolled my window down and said "I'll be across the street at CVS". Management, you need some people that have actual social skills and personalities, not some zombie rudeness. read more

Horrible.. Horrible.. HORRIBLE! Busy store with one fed up cashier.. Stood with two infants waiting for someone to open the razor cabinet for me, no one around.. Asked the cashier to call for help, and she did.. 10 minutes, no one came.. Asked to call again, she did.. No one showed up.. Left and asked her to tell them not to bother.. I'm surprised at how badly run this rite aid is.. The workers just don't give a damn! Did rite aid get bought or something?! Will never go there.. Never Again. When my doctor told me I would be having surgery within 24 hours I went to Rite Aid to fill a script I will need after the surgery. The charge was outrageous $50.99 for 30 pills (generic) This same medication was less by $22.00 on their own web sight! When I compared it to other pharmacies in the area the prices ranged from $17 to $32.. What a rip off! read more

One star because I can't give this review zero. I came into rite aid on my ten minute break because I work across the street and I was having a allergic reaction to something. I thought talking to the pharmists would be my best option because nothing like this has happened to me before. I patiently waited in line and when I got to the clerk I start to explain to him what was happening asking for advice. As I proceeded to tell him what happened he was looking behind his shoulders not paying any attention to a word I said. So I asked, "are you listening?" And be then replied saying no, let me get you a consultation. A Asian women came over to the counter rolling her eyes at me. I was in pain so even though she obviously wanted nothing to do with me I began to tell her my problem. She started to cut me off in the middle of my sentence saying she cannot help me and it's not her problem I'm having a reaction then said, "check aisle 3 for something" I asked her what she would suggest getting and she walked away from me. I had to go to another costumer in that aisle and ask for help. Ridiculous. read more

Agree with worst store ever sentiments. I'm here once a week and there is always a ridiculous wait to check out. Get a hint. All it takes is a couple people with a few items in line and you'll literally stand there for 10+ minutes and I'm being generous. It's in believable. Now I walk in and if there's anyone in line I just walk right out. Seems they have more people roaming around stocking shelves than checking people out. Rite Aid, you seriously need to fix this. PHARMACY: very poor customer service. The employees are super busy, which I have patience for. But it is not an excuse to be non-communicative or treat a customer like an inconvenience. The pharmacists more so than the pharm techs. read more

Have only been here once and will not be coming back. I walked in needing to get Icy Hot, and figured it would be a quick transaction. The initial problem was the long line for only 1 register being open up front. I figured I would bypass this issue and just check out at the pharmacy - hence where my biggest complaint started. The woman behind the counter decided to argue that I had stolen a half-drank water bottle in my hand. After informing her I had purchased the drink at Walgreens, she insisted that she needed to view the receipt of my purchase. What? Nobody keeps receipts, especially me over a $2 purchase. I informed her that she could view security footage to see that I had walked in with the bottle and I only got attitude for the rest of the transaction. No apology at all. I'll continue shopping at other places that don't accuse me of shoplifting as I'm in the middle of a transaction read more

Well.. bad layout.. way understaffed, long lines to check out.. and on top of that.. I am always scared when I walk out of the store.. .3 times already I had someone come up trying to talk to me... wanting money, trying to distract... very sketchy people hanging around during the late evening hours... as a young woman I feel threatened.
