I have never been able to pick up my rx without issue. Normally the issue is that they have texted and called informing me that my rx is ready for pick up but, without fail, it is not. Today they sold me the wrong rx dosage - TWICE. They will not refund you after you have paid even if you are still standing in front of the counter. You have to pay before they give you the medication though. They claim that if a doctor has requested a medication they have to fill it. In this case my doctor prescribed the dose they filled months ago. They have fill the correct dosage many times since, but today for whatever the reason they filled the incorrect dosages. If you have to no other option and must go here, I highly recommend you ask to see the bottle before paying. read more

They don't pick up phones, in person they are far from cordial, and they never provide your prescription in any where close of the timeframe they say they will. I 'am not well today and needed some aspirin so I sent my nephew out to get me some and it cost $16.29 for 300 tablets. The only thing is the aspirin expires in two months! Why would they even have this on their shelves! If I use six to ten tablets that would cost me almost $2.00 a tablet! What is wrong with these idiots? They can send the medication back and get new medication from the company or write it off. I can't! Oh yeah when I called them nobody would pick up and I also tried the pharmacy and the number on the aspirin box! This is why when I use a pharmacy I drive sixty miles and go to the CVS in Palo Alto. Slow and rude. Example: I walk up to check in for my vaccine appointment. I'm standing there, without any acknowledgment from anyone, for 5-7 minutes as these three employees are gossiping together about someone who they claimed to be the cause of why the pharmacy isn't managed well. I certainly don't expect anyone to immediately stop what they're doing to attend to me, but at the very least, an acknowledgment of my existence ("hello, we'll be with you shortly") is what I call basic social skills. The irony is that, as their talking crap about this other employee, it's actually those 3 individuals who are creating a negative customer experience (not to mention it's a really bad look to be gossiping in front of customers). After 5-7 minutes, I politely ask if I'm the correct line (bc I'm seriously confused why no one is acknowledging me), and the woman has the nerve to get sassy with me before returning to her vent sesh with her co-workers. For pharmacy: Pharmacist is on lunch/dinner breaks for 4 hours a day. While this happens you can't get any new prescriptions refilled. Staff turnover is at an all time high; see new people there every month and they all look unhappy. I feel terrible for them! wish i could give this rite aid zero stars :( i've been needing to retake my passport photo for a while now and found out over the phone that they have that service. i called an hour before showing up, confirming my photo could be taken if u i showed up. when i arrive, they say the person in charge isn't in. i say that i called beforehand, and they say they can't help me, and the person hasn't been in all day. a couple weeks later, i call again to confirm an hour before showing up. i show up and they say the machine is broken. i say i just checked an hour ago with another representative over the phone, and they say they can't help but the machine has been down for two days. they really are struggling to do anything here, hope management can come in and fix things! read more

I used this pharmacy for years, It could be slow when Hank and Shelly were, but they were cheerful and helpful. When they left, service was rude and painfully slow. Prescriptions were rarely ready when priomised or the drug was unavailable for days. After putting up with this bad service, I finally took my prescriptions to Costco. I have to drive 25 minutes, but at least they are competent. My husband and I each have many precriptions, so Rite Aid took a financial hit when we left. Also, store has many empty shelves. read more

In this crazy Coronovirus age that we're living in, I now find myself looking and shopping outside of the supermarket box. Thankfully, stores like Rite Aid are just a hop, jump and a skip away from the long check-out lines of Safeway and Whole Foods Market. Seriously - if you don't need fresh produce or specialty food items, Rite Aid has pretty much all the basics you'll need for your self-quarantine/Shelter-In-Place-ment. Everything from shaving gear, tooth paste, cleaning products, frozen/canned foods, booze, house appliances, etc. (sadly, there's still no toilet paper or paper towels here). What always amazes me about this store is how empty it is - like all the time. Not sure how they're staying business. But then again, that's not my problem. So long story short - if you know what you're shopping for, you can be in and out of here in 10 minutes or less. Plus, there's plenty of free parking outside in the mall. Best of all, the prices are always ridiculously reasonable (especially if you have a Rite Aid card). As I've said before, this place puts the "convenience" back in convenience store. read more

Wish I could give this zero stars... this is the worst location out there. I went there to find an item that said it was in stock online at that specific location. I went to find it on my own first but when I couldn't I decided to press the assist button. I must've pressed the button at least five times and waited for ten minutes.. no one came. I went to the checkout area and asked the lady if she could help me find that item bc again, it said it was in stock at that location. The Hispanic lady at the register didn't even bother to help. She said "I don't know where it is" and proceeded to do her own thing, with no customers around. She said she's the only one in that store and cannot help me. I walked out after that. I live fairly close to this Rite Aid and have used the pharmacy for years. There are some nice people who work there but the current pharmacist does not have a clue. My doctor prescribed warfarin but the pharmacist refused to fill it (after Rite Aid messaging service said it was ready) because he thought my prior prescription should be enough for now. He didn't seem to understand my dosing schedule. I guess he thought I was abusing the warfarin. How do you abuse warfarin? In big doses it's rat poison. I'm using CVS in Mill Valley now. A longer drive but the service has to be better. read more

I've been using Rite Aid pharmacy as my go to pharmacy for years but may now have to reconsider my choice. Usually they get you your meds in a timely manner, but today was a different matter. Had knee replacement surgery 1 week ago. Ran out of pain meds, so I requested UCSF to write up another prescription. They readily agreed after I told them pain level was high up there. Prescription sent over yesterday. Wife goes in to pick it up, is informed that it can't be filled until Tuesday. "Can he wait till Tuesday?" Wait, what? Can he wait till Tuesday for his pain meds? After my wife says that is unacceptable, pharmacist gets on the phone, and finally says ok it can be picked up in the Mill Valley Rite Aid this afternoon. Pretty sure the whole purpose of pain meds is to relieve surgery pain being felt now, not in 5 days. Time to find another Pharmacy. read more

My mom, brother and I were in here today, the female security guard who was working there followed me around the store. When the three of us were leaving, the security guard stopped us and said we have to pay for the items up front, we didn't have anything. My mom had a shopping bag from the container store where she bought a hanger for her scarfs. My mom said I have the receipt. The female security guard didn't say anything or apologize. This place is terrible. No matter what time of day you go in here, there's already a super long line at checkout. That's because they rarely have more than one cashier at a given time up front. They seem to like to wait until there's at least 20+ people in line to call up another cashier. Totally frustrating. if you are trying to do a walk-in vaccination, don't bother. You will be told by the pharmacy staff that they DO NOT take walk-ins and you need to schedule an appointment on the website. I feel like Rite Aid should actually pay you $5 if you manage to find your way through the website to setting up the appointment. Others in the reviews have pointed out the pretty crap service overall and the oddly empty shelves. I was pretty sure they must be closing the location, but I guess it will just not have all of the stuff you want. Marin doesn't have a lot of choices, but I would skip this one. read more

Not for a lack of trying, but this store is woefully inadequate. I really didn't think I had great expectations when it came to drug stores, but, apparently, in the recesses of my mind, somewhere along the way, a bar has been set and, sadly... this Rite Aid falls far, far below that bar. A) they open at 8 AM. Ideally, they should be a 24 hour spot, but, it's cool... Long's over at Bon Air has that covered... but EIGHT AM? For a PHARMACY? Look, I've got kids, man... 8 am is first nap time, and when my baby's ill, I need to get her her medicine BEFORE she goes down, somewhere between the 6 AM wake up and the 8 AM down. B) I've been in here four times and each time had NO IDEA where to find what I was looking for and had to seek out help each time. One time a person actually walked down the aisle with me, but the other times I've just been vaguely gestured in the general direction of the back of the store for: 1.) a plunger 2.) an unmentionable item of personal discretion 3.) another unmentionable item of personal discretion It was embarrassing enough having to walk up to someone to ask for directions to find all three of these items, but, to then have to wander forth on my own? Uggh. Plus, the fact that I spent a good chunk of time wandering the aisles looking dazed and clearly lost, with several employees passing by me not offering help. During the great plunger hunt of '07, the fellow I ended up asking (twice) for help was too engaged in his chat with a co-worker to be bothered to show me where the plungers were... Just a special note here, chatty cathy dude... If someone's looking to buy a plunger, chances are they have an URGENT NEED. Don't make it your social time to shoot the caboose with your buddy - get off yer duff and help a lady out!!! On the flip side, on Halloween they did help me find Mary Jane's (the candy) and I really loved the flair that everyone had going - all the people working there were in costume. The perky bumble bee gets my vote for best attitude and costume. read more

Dreadful Pharmacy! Snotty attitude by pretty much everyone I deal with there. Never seen to have the prescription on time. Invariably I have to come back multiple times before anything is available. This morning as I write this I am waiting for the prescription to be prepared after calling doctor and handing my cell phone to the princess pharmacist as they had not been answering the phone that morning! She told me to get the doctor to call it in, and I had to explain he couldn't as they didn't answer the phone! I'm done going here, would rather drive 20 mins to avoid the terrible service. read more

So, this is probably one of the worst pharmacy experiences I've had, and after today, I don't intend to go back. They are almost always understaffed, and the pharmacists are often very rude. Just stay away, go somewhere else - the Rite Aid in San Rafael will probably at least get your scripts in a timely manner without being told you're being rude for asking why they aren't ready! A month ago, I had to fill a prescription for antibiotics and painkillers. I was VERY sick and had just gotten out of urgent care. It took an entire day just for them to have them ready - meanwhile I'm in awful pain. Today, I drop off my normal monthly script at noon. I'm told to come back at 2:30, so I get there at 3 because I have a job. It still wasn't ready after 3 hours. The pharmacist rudely told me how they had a rush of people and she "had" to do a flu shot right then - I'd been waiting for 3 hours. So now I have to go back a third time just to get my normal prescription. It's not even a Saturday at rush hour - its a Tuesday afternoon when most people are at work. Tl;DR - don't go to this location. Just go anywhere else. Unless you want to get your prescription next week, I guess. read more

Worthless as a pharmacy, avoid at all costs!! I dropped off the world's easiest prescription, a two pack of EpiPen's for an bee sting allergy and they had to "special order it". I went in twice to pick it up over the span of two weeks and it was still not available??? I had changed jobs at the end of the month and have a new insurance group. They again didn't fill it. Absolutely horrible customer service, zero stars!!! There's a different person working every day and each one blames the others. There is only ONE reason Rite-Aid should exist, the pharmacy... Yet they continually fail. You can get everything else you need at Safeway 100 yards away. Stay far away. read more

The store was being upgraded and it looked pretty bad. All the displays had been placed on coasters so they could be moved around easily. There were areas on the walls where some paneling had been removed and had old exposed glue, one wall had big holes in the drywall, and many ceiling tiles had been removed. I understand that there will be eye sores during remodeling, however this seemed to have been very poorly planned and executed. read more

Rite Aid, Corte Madera - even though you always seem to have very long lines & a labyrinth of somewhat confusing aisles... you never fail to have what I need! Be it over-the-counter orthotic inserts to alleviate my Plantar Fasciitis, Petpto-Bismol to calm my belly after indulging in one of my fellow Yelper's restaurant recommendations... you never fail me. I know I can find my favorite beauty products within your maze, too! Luscious hair masks, luxurious shampoos, rich creams, and a beautiful makeup collection full of faaaabulous dupes (Hello $8 L'Oreal "Iced-Latte" Shadow; Goodbye $18 Stella Kitten!)! Plus, things like light bulbs, slippers, those blue tin cans full of butter cookies (the same can my Nonna kept sewing materials in)... AND... good ole "Thrifty Brand Ice Cream" (okay - maybe it's Rite Aid brand now??) by the scoop. Rite Aid - Thanks for being there for me when I need ya! This Rite Aid, as probably all the other Rite Aid's in America, carries a bunch of stuff from food to makeup to remote controls and lawn chairs. You could easily survive only shopping here. However they don't often re-stock the cosmetics section which sometimes leaves me foundation-less and I must unfortunately walk around naked-faced. Other than that, the employees are friendly, and they recently remodeled the inside, it looks much nicer!!! read more

This rite aid has a Hodge Podge of everyday items that you need and a lot of things that you dont. It is almost like going into a indoor flea market or something. But isn't that what old school drug stores are supposed to be like? There is a Thifty's ice cream as well ( memories) oops my age is showing. read more

Terrible customer service at this location; Although I believe they can use additional customer service training at all Rite Aid locations in Marin County. Having said that, I have found employees at the Corte Madera store to be particularly rude and impolite, to put it nicely. Ride Aid management has a long way to go to get things up to par, so better to get started as soon as possible. read more

Came up here for a getaway mini vacation and came across this rite aid, everyone is very nice and polite my cashier was Paul he was very nice and funny. The store is very clean and stocked. If i ever come up here ill stop here for sure. read more
