It's been my experience that the Sayville Rite Aid provides me with continuous quality service.

This is the worst pharmacy ever. I recently went on a new medication that is both time sensitive…read moreand stressful, and the pharmacists at this Walgreens could not have been more rude and less helpful. The first time I went, the pharmacist gave me the wrong medication, one intended for an entirely different human. When I went back to question it, they gave me such a hard time about my actual prescription, and implied that I didn't look as if I could afford the copay for the medication? Strange and rude. Finally, my doctor called and straightened it out and I was able to get my prescription two days later. The red flags don't end there though. On the second month of my prescription the pharmacy kept giving me and my doctor a hard time about the dosage I needed. That their supplier "might not have it" ? I got a call from them yesterday ASSURING ME that it would be ready for me today (the last day I could take it before having to restart the medication entirely), and when I went to pick it up they were so unbelievably rude and unhelpful. The pharmacist told me that HE messed up, that he didn't see the mg amount changed, and that he didn't change the order, so the correct amount wouldn't get here in time. He told me another Walgreens has the correct mg, but that he can't transfer the prescription, then told me they had a different dosage, but that he couldn't give it to me. Useless options. All the while, the female pharmacist just stands in the back listening to the nonsensical word salad that this pharmacist is telling me and doesn't even have the decency to look me in the eye while yelling "there's nothing we can do. You'll have to wait till Monday." While she typed. I'm so upset with the way I've been treated here. Between the lack of people skills and lack of urgency, I wouldn't go to this pharmacy for a band-aid.

As far as CVSes go, this one is very nice. It's brand new, clean, and in an easily accessible…read morecorner location with plenty of parking available. They did a nice job with its design and it's a cute addition to the area. The staff seem friendly enough. The only negative of this location is its hours - it isn't open 24/7 and closes pretty early at 10pm daily. CVS in general isn't a favorite of mine because of the lack of healthy snacks available. There aren't many organic or non-gmo options and the granola bars they have are usually stale and hard (yuck). Plus the photo printing is usually of lackluster quality. But for a quick birthday card or toiletry item it's a convenient choice. I do recommend this location and wish I could give them 3.5 stars, because it's a little better than just "A-OK" but I'm not exactly a "fan," so 3 stars it is.

Where to begin. This is my mother's CVS, they have all her prescriptions for man years. For this…read morereason only I keep my customer card. I take her to there, she is 88 urs ild and not good with change.. Lately, they have gotten worse than the normal. They still call and leave prerecorded messages and texts to tell you your script is ready. You get there, they tell you it is NOT ready and to come back in a half hour. This is why I left CVS years ago..now I have to deal woth again. This last time, I went to pick her up items she uses regularly and I stood in line way too long to check out only because they have 1 cashier at the register taking care of people in line AND the people with problems (and there were quite a few) with the self checkout! This poor woman was very helpful, kind and so obviously trying to hide her frustration with handling this all on her own. HIRE MORE PEOPLE! I know how to use the self checkout, I refuse to use CVS's because the coupons always get stuck and then you have to pull this oman off the register to fix it or for some other stupid problem. Ridiculous! I only go there to for non prescription items when she is in town for her hair appt.(and i have a coupon) Otherwise I go elsewhere for cheaper prices on the same items. CVS rips off hospitals and customers. Google it! This is an Extremely dishonest company.

There was no line on the other side, yet I still waited. Eventually, a young woman approached and asked if I needed help. I told her I would like to speak with the pharmacist. When the pharmacist came over, her facial expression alone made me feel as though I had done something wrong. Her demeanor and lack of customer service were disappointing. I asked if she could recommend something for my 14-year-old who was experiencing flu-like symptoms, and all she said was "Tylenol." She did not ask a single follow-up question about his symptoms, nor did she direct me to the appropriate aisle. I'm glad I didn't rely on her advice because I went to another aisle myself and found something more appropriate for his symptoms. My point is this: when working with the public whether as a cashier or a pharmacist professionalism is essential. You chose this career, knowing it involves interacting with customers. Whatever kind of day you're having should not interfere with the quality of service you provide.
