Visited Brunch Sayville today with my husband and we had a nice breakfast. There was a bit of a wait to dine inside, and once seated, we had to wait a while for our order to arrive. Although, we enjoyed the service and atmosphere very much, we had mixed feelings on the food. There were a few hits and misses. The All Day Sammie was huge and difficult to eat. The scrambled eggs were good, but the bread was crumbling with every bite. The hash browns were too hard, and the house-made sausage lacked flavor. That being said, I did enjoy The Smattering. I really liked their griddled bread with berry jam, and the breakfast potatoes and eggs were seasoned well. The bacon was fried too hard, but once redone, it was good. Our beverages were really quite good. The Butterfly Effect and the Elderberry Healer Tea were both nice options. We would return to try some of their other offerings. read more

Another great experience at Brunch Sayville. I got the Brunch Pot Pie. Delicious!! Husband got the all day Sammie. He said next time he'd order with bacon. We also got a giant chocolate chip cookie and double chocolate chip. Both were excellent. This time, it wasn't as busy and the two people working that day were super warm and friendly. This is not to say my first experience, they weren't but I think the chef was also helping with serving. Our server this time was Colleen who was very attentive. We were greeted with a big welcome from Nick, who also gave me a crocheted heart. That made my day! Love Brunch Sayville!! I went to Brunch Sayville yesterday with my friend and we both loved it!! We both found this place on instagram and wanted to see what all the hype was about! They have a big selection of coffees, which I love! We both couldn't decide so we both got the coffee flight, which comes with 4 different coffees. All 4 were delicious, however my favorite was the Golden Patronis! I ordered the zucchini frittata, a special they were having and it was delicious! There was a stuffed cheesey, zucchini flower on top too! My friend ordered the all day sammy and she said it was great! The only thing I will add was that the portion sizes were on the small side and didn't really fill me up but other than that everything was great. Not sure where to post a review for the After Dark experience at brunch. I took my husband for his birthday for the chef's tasting experience and words cannot describe how amazing it was. All of the chef's creations were absolutely amazing and so creative. We are huge foodies who will try anything and this surpassed our expectations. The service was unmatched and was so attentive and described every single aspect of the coursing perfectly. The ambiance was romantic and quaint exactly what we wanted for an intimate birthday dinner. Could not recommend this enough and have friends who are already planning to go! It's very cozy and gives sort of an Alice in wonderland vibe. It's very rustic and cute! The menu is limited and has seasonal/weekly specials so keep that in mind but the food was very good. It's definitely more expensive than other brunch spots on the island and nearby BUT they offer vegan and vegetarian options. I recommend giving this place a shot even if it's just to try their croissants! read more

This place is undeniably overpriced for mediocre food that's simply presented well and "cozy", but I wouldn't recommend considering this stuff looks like scrap on a nice plate. Consumerism has gotten over the top on Long Island and paying $20+ for breakfast has gotten so normalized it's upsetting. It's mediocre at best as I stated. The customer service in this place has gone super down hill since this place has opened. We have been going to this place for a 2 years and with the last visits we had to literally walk out because we were seated and waited around for more than 15 minutes and were completely ignored. Popped into Brunch Sayville this Memorial Day weekend and let me just say--it did not disappoint. I had the All Day Sammie and listen... that bread?! Fresh, warm, and soft with the perfect chew. They bake it twice a day, and you can taste every bit of that effort. Also tried the Funeral Potatoes--I wasn't expecting much (it's just cheesy potatoes, right?) but they were SO taassssty. This sweet cafe like spot is just what locals and visitors alike ask for in a restaurant. I've tried to come back twice since my initial review (as promised), and each time I am greeted...not even sure if greeted is the right word...by staff that appears to be annoyed by my existence. Every employee here seems to be frazzled and unwelcoming. This past rainy Sunday I walked in asking for a table for two and despite the fact that there was ample seating, the woman at the front told me there was nothing available. The only option she said was outdoor seating but she wasn't sure if we would be "comfortable." She did not offer to put us on a waiting list or make any other accommodation. We left and went to JT's cafe instead, where we received a warm welcome and a great breakfast. I really wanted to like this place. It's a cute small business and very mom-and-pop, however, there appears to be a clear service/staffing issue. Passed this place on the way home one day and wanted to try it. My girlfriend's and I went today and we were 100% pleased with everything! Walking in, it's small but absolutely adorable. It is handicap accessible and there is extra seating out back. Our waitress was very accommodating and helpful, our food (sorry no pictures) was incredible! I recommend the BYO I got eggs bacon and potatoes and it came with this thick homemade bread that was so good I've raved about it since I got home! This is a cozy and eclectic spot by Main St Sayville. If you have friends or family that are gluten free/vegan/vegetarian - I highly recommend the spot as this is one of a few spaces that actually accommodates for those food restrictions without just giving you rabbit food. We had a group of about 5 and literally took up half the space lol - so just be mindful of size. But enjoyed all the breakfast/ brunch food ordered and the yummy coffee drinks. He had the hoe cakes which were very dry and texture was rubbery so we're guessing they were old-the sauce tastes like grape jelly liquified. I had the biscuits & gravy and the flavor of the sausage gravy was ordinary and biscuits undercooked. We also had the funeral potato's and our honest review is everything tastes microwaved or reheated. The side of sausage and fried eggs tasted good and fresh. The fresh baked pastries alone are worth the trip! I often stop in to pick up an almond croissant for myself and a pistachio one for my mom. If you stay for brunch, you will never be sorry. I've tried everything from the Hoe Cakes to the Smattering to the Biscuits & sausage gravy and each plate is flavorable - sweet or savory. Try the homemade jams as they are a must. Prices here are outrageously higher than the other local brunch options, but to be fair the food is ok...and isn't it sad that the food quality is drowned out by a train wreck of disorganized workflow. We were greeted by a gentlemen working the counter with a "I don't know what I'm doing or what's going on." That was comforting. They have a waitlist that is apparently managed on a first come first serve basis, but we waited 40 minutes for a table as people after us were seated. After ordering it took 20 minutes to simply get a water or coffee. It seems that the only person capable of pouring the coffee is the frazzled gentlemen, as I watched the women standing around chatting. Food wait is another 20-30 minutes making the entire experience a grueling wait. I ordered the smattering, scrambled. The eggs were cooked dry and chopped into small pieces. The rest of the plate was yummy. The ambiance is lovely. They have some outdoor seats. If you give this place a shot, eat a gummy and bring your patience. Oh yeah BTW , coffee is meh. Very unhappy. I asked for eggs over medium. They came out hard. I sent them back and they came out runny. Really? A breakfast place should be able to cook eggs properly. This is a cozy, eclectic little spot in Sayville. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the food is amazing. The biscuits and gravy were the best I've ever tasted. On another visit I ordered the all day Sammy, which is an egg sandwich on home made biscuits with hash browns and bacon or sausage which was delicious and kept me full all day.
