    Food I brought in

Omg this is a fabulous small intimate vineyard. We reserved a table right by the bar and live music. It's small but does not disappoint. U are able to bring your own food in and they even have their own canned sangria. This place is super close to having to drive all the way out to Riverhead. It's a must go!

A very hidden vineyard, so you would never happen to pass it. You drive up a very long private road, past the mansion and there it is. There is mandatory complimentary valet parking. They have two food trucks that rotate providing food. One is a brunch truck and the other is more salads, burgers etc. I have to say I was a little disappointed , as we came around 4 pm and I didn't want brunch, I assumed there would be an opportunity to get some cheese and crackers, but no, nada. The good news however is next time you come, you can bring your own food which is very nice! The have porta potty's, and keep them Pretty clean. There is music on the weekends which is nice . The day we went there was the food truck within feet of the musician and she was drowned out by the trucks loud generator. The truck needed to be parked much further away. I felt badly for the singer . Staff is very nice and friendly. You can reserve tables or Adirondack chairs ahead of time but not the same day. Some nice tables with umbrellas between the rows of grapevines. All in all a nice relaxing casual day.

What a cute little local treasure! Laughlin Vineyard in Sayville has an amazing, relaxed vibe with beautiful seating and wonderful live music. The sangria was delicious, the wine selection was great, and having small cheese, cracker, and chocolate plates to snack on made it complete. We will definitely be back!

I lived in Sayville for 20 years and I can kick myself for never coming to this vineyard until last night 6/4/2026. If you know Meadow Croft estate the winery is behind the house down the dirt road. If you don't know Meadow Croft estate, I suggest doing a tour there or take a walk thru the nature path on the estate grounds. The winery is rustic and beautiful. It's not like one of the large and overcrowded wineries out East. This winery will transport you to a small Napa valley vineyard or someone's private vineyard in Europe. There's no big dining or tasting room. It's just a small wooden building for the tasting and a food truck on the premises - you have to go to their website for the truck of the day. There's plenty of seating in the form of Adirondack chairs, picnic tables and small 2 person tables right on the vineyard paths. There's also heating lamps and when it gets cooler there's fire pits. The wine itself is not to be missed and I'm not a wine sommelier but I'm going out on a limb and say their wines are better than the big names ones you'd find out east. The Sauvignon Blanc was our favorite but we also had the merlot and the Chardonnay. All three were amazing. The service was amazing and they have events most nights. Last night it was music bingo which was a lot of fun and my sis won 2 bottles of wine ! It's dog friendly btw and I'd recommend dog owners to come here bc it's quiet and relaxing for you and your pooch. I almost didn't what to write a review bc I want this place to be a best kept secret on LI but the folks who own this place deserve a 5 star review from me. I will be back once a week just by myself with my dog and a book. I love this place

My wife and I recently stumbled upon this quaint rustic vineyard in our ongoing quest to find good trivia nights in our area. Truthfully, we live less than 3 miles from Loughlin Vineyards but did not know about it. We are very happy we found it. As noted in prior reviews it is completely tucked away off the main road. You need to navigate a narrow dirt road to reach it but it's certainly worth it. Firstly , apparently this is the first night they have had trivia. Great job by Tango Time Trivia. The vineyard has a very nice selection of wines, beers and canned cocktails. We had a tasty, albeit sweet rum punch, a nice IPA and a flight of wine. The wines were all very good. They have a food truck on premises with a good selection of the usual fare. The grounds are natural and relaxing. Sitting outside sipping drinks it was hard to believe we were less than 10 minutes from home. Well worth the drive from a farther distance however. Looking forward to going back during the day. The staff is helpful, friendly and attentive. Definitely check it out.

We had an amazing time here in one of the little cabins for dinner. I am a Long Island wedding photographer and was introduced to this little jewel of a place from one of my couples who had a surprise proposal here last year. The food was fantastic! The service was fantastic! Amanda-lee Seely

Really adorable hidden gem with a rustic feel. They have a lot of cool events too, we went on the day of a food truck. They had nice music playing on the speakers and lit the fire pits when it got darker/cooler out. The staff were super friendly and offered samples of the wines. They also gave my toddler bubbles. Definitely will be back. Look forward to trying more wine and attending different themed events!

I'll start with the negative - I visited in the winter while snow was on the ground - so the road was muddy, as well as the walk to the greenhouse, however I was in heels, so not the best choice for the day. So wear appropriate shoes based on weather conditions. Ok that aside, this place is amazing and so cute! I rented a greenhouse for 2hrs, it included a bottle of wine of your choice- we also ordered a 2nd bottle to try, both were very good - there's a food truck on site where you can order food, we opted for a few things to try and everything was amazing - there's a call button in the greenhouse, the staff comes to you takes your order and delivers it to you. The staff is amazing ! They were so responsive and so sweet. The greenhouse was adorable, it was nice sitting inside looking out at the snow. There's a heater, blankets, comfortable chairs, loveseat, coffee table, blue tooth speaker and games. I would for sure love to do this again.

Super casual and rustic place. Drive down a long dirt path. Park on the grass. Walk down the dirt path a bit more and enter the winery. Tiny shack to get your tastings. Super friendly and VERY GOOD WINE! Bit of a hidden place, in Sayville. Beware, directly adjacent to the LiRR train tracks, but all is good. Definitely recommend.

Awesome small, homey, winery right in Sayville! I only recently heard about this winery. Of course, I usually go to the East End when I need some delicious wine, so when I saw this winery was extremely local, I had to give it a try. The winery is situated in the back of Meadow Croft, a historic landmark that belonged to Teddy Roosevelt's cousin. Based on the photos I've previously seen, I wasn't expecting a huge winery like Pindar, but the small, cozy atmosphere made it extremely inviting. The music playing was definitely a little odd, like Never Enough from The Greatest Showman and I Will Always Love You. I would have rather sat there in silence and listened to the birds chirping around us. For $10 a flight, we were able to try a "shot" of five wines: Cabernet Sauvignon, Blush, Rose, Chardonnay and Merlot. The blush was our absolute favorite and took a $20 bottle home. There's enough chairs for everyone and they offer chess platters. I'm pretty sure you can bring in your own food. Enjoy a closer commute and drink at Loughlin!

Amazing winery tucked away in Sayville. Such a great ambiance - very cozy, welcoming, and happy spot! Love their Blush wine! Haven't tried the Pinky but plan on it once they get it back in stock. Family-owned. One of my favs.

I brought my Nassau County friend here and she absolutely fell in love with this quaint and hidden winery! I have been coming here for years and I love it. They allow you to bring food for a picnic so it's a great place to spend the day. I must confess that I hesitate writing this review because I really don't want it to get too busy.

We sat on the porch looking out over the vineyard like we were in the Alexander Valley. Honestly, we have done the North Fork trail more but will now be a SOFO family as well. Helene and I both enjoy a good Chardonnay and "Wolffer's Pearl" is great, A chard with tremendous body and depth. We had the honor of being on a European Wine Cruise with the wine maker. Roman Roth [and his wife]. He had multiple wine dinners where we had an opportunity to try some of these new red and white wines and really took a liking to them. We joined their wine club as soon as we returned home so we'll have more to enjoy during the year. Let me be honest... I have been drinking and collecting Roman Roth wines for years now and have always enjoyed them. The team that took care of us was amazing. Nothing but smiles and service. We were very lucky to have the opportunity to experience this wonderful visit. The only downside is that the drive from mid-island to the Hamptons can get a little long. This was a small price to pay for the wonderful experience we had. KUDOs to the team at Wolffer Estate Vineyard

I'll start off by saying that my wife and I came here on a Friday at the beginning of the summer to actually sit and have dinner, which turned out to be quite a tasty treat. The interior of FIV has a somewhat rustic/beachy vibe that works well for its Bay Shore location and feels at home on Long Island. It's got a nice bar and a decent seating area where we pulled up a table and were helped by the staff who were friendly and attentive. Besides the importance of good feels from the workers, the food and drink is where it might matter most and Fire Island Vines doesn't fall short of doing this. With a somewhat Mediterranean/Greek/Italian direction to their foods you'll find some delicious dips (spicy feta, hummus), savory chicken skewers, and crispy pizzettes which was just about everything we ordered. There's much more than that here and of course plenty of chances to wine while you dine. I instead ventured to the house sangria which was delightful while the wife had a concocted mocktail she really enjoyed. And, therein lies the biggest hint to why FIV will mean a lot more to us in just a few months as my wife and I are expecting our first child and the baby shower is planned for right here within these walls. So far all planning has been fantastic and owner Angelo has been very kind and accommodating. We're looking forward to our full festivities, but for now I'll wrap things up by saying this spot will be holding a special place in our hearts and so I wanted it to be my 1,000th review on Yelp to be even more memorable. With all that in mind (and trying not to get too sentimental on Yelp!), check out Fire Island Vines for some weekend dinner or an event and be ready for some greatness.

I spoke to a woman in the bathroom and she said even if you don't have a reservation, you can always find a spot on the grass or chairs. There's plenty of room to hang out. Our server Les was incredible! You can tell when you have a great experienced waiter that is truly good at their job and love what they do! Pay him whatever he wants and never let him go! He truly made the dining experience above and beyond. I ordered the Sauvignon Blanc and he asked me if I wanted a glass or a bottle and I told him I couldn't drink a bottle because I had to drive home. He told me if I was gonna have two glasses. It would end up being about equal to the bottle price and that I could take the rest of the wine home! What a nice surprise, and the fact that he pointed out made me feel like he goes above and beyond for his customers! Now let's talk about the food! I was in a party of three and they had ordered the appetizer sandwich for the table which was gigantic! Both of the other guests love the sandwich, but I didn't try it because I do not like prosciutto. The truffle chips were fantastic; I'm still thinking about them and I didn't even know I liked truffle! I ate 90% of them. The portions are massive but in a good way because the food is exceptional! One guest was so full from the sandwich that she opted to not order an entrée I ordered the margarita flatbread and it had to be over a foot and a half long. I ended up taking half home and my husband ate it and said it was delicious as well. The other guest ordered the meatballs and I tasted them and they were quite delicious. By the time the meal was over we left with half a sandwich half a flatbread and some extra meatballs. For dessert: we got a llimoncello flute and I got the largest lemon beautifully presented with lemon sorbet! I told us I don't usually take pictures of my food, but this was photo worthy! The wine was one of my favorite Sauvignon Blanc that I've ever had in my life! We will definitely go back for the food and definitely will be purchasing the wine again! 4/5 food 10/5 for the service and ambience Thank you for a wonderful experience on a beautiful afternoon!
