I'll start with the negative - I visited in the winter while snow was on the ground - so the road was muddy, as well as the walk to the greenhouse, however I was in heels, so not the best choice for the day. So wear appropriate shoes based on weather conditions. Ok that aside, this place is amazing and so cute! I rented a greenhouse for 2hrs, it included a bottle of wine of your choice- we also ordered a 2nd bottle to try, both were very good - there's a food truck on site where you can order food, we opted for a few things to try and everything was amazing - there's a call button in the greenhouse, the staff comes to you takes your order and delivers it to you. The staff is amazing ! They were so responsive and so sweet. The greenhouse was adorable, it was nice sitting inside looking out at the snow. There's a heater, blankets, comfortable chairs, loveseat, coffee table, blue tooth speaker and games. I would for sure love to do this again.

Really adorable hidden gem with a rustic feel. They have a lot of cool events too, we went on the day of a food truck. They had nice music playing on the speakers and lit the fire pits when it got darker/cooler out. The staff were super friendly and offered samples of the wines. They also gave my toddler bubbles. Definitely will be back. Look forward to trying more wine and attending different themed events!

Super casual and rustic place. Drive down a long dirt path. Park on the grass. Walk down the dirt path a bit more and enter the winery. Tiny shack to get your tastings. Super friendly and VERY GOOD WINE! Bit of a hidden place, in Sayville. Beware, directly adjacent to the LiRR train tracks, but all is good. Definitely recommend.

Awesome small, homey, winery right in Sayville! I only recently heard about this winery. Of course, I usually go to the East End when I need some delicious wine, so when I saw this winery was extremely local, I had to give it a try. The winery is situated in the back of Meadow Croft, a historic landmark that belonged to Teddy Roosevelt's cousin. Based on the photos I've previously seen, I wasn't expecting a huge winery like Pindar, but the small, cozy atmosphere made it extremely inviting. The music playing was definitely a little odd, like Never Enough from The Greatest Showman and I Will Always Love You. I would have rather sat there in silence and listened to the birds chirping around us. For $10 a flight, we were able to try a "shot" of five wines: Cabernet Sauvignon, Blush, Rose, Chardonnay and Merlot. The blush was our absolute favorite and took a $20 bottle home. There's enough chairs for everyone and they offer chess platters. I'm pretty sure you can bring in your own food. Enjoy a closer commute and drink at Loughlin!

Amazing winery tucked away in Sayville. Such a great ambiance - very cozy, welcoming, and happy spot! Love their Blush wine! Haven't tried the Pinky but plan on it once they get it back in stock. Family-owned. One of my favs.

I brought my Nassau County friend here and she absolutely fell in love with this quaint and hidden winery! I have been coming here for years and I love it. They allow you to bring food for a picnic so it's a great place to spend the day. I must confess that I hesitate writing this review because I really don't want it to get too busy.

Was not what we expected, but a good experience. I found Loughlin Vineyard after doing a search for nearby wineries in Long Island. North Fork was an option, but a bit too far. We really experienced the "hidden" part of hidden gem at first. The GPS brought us to the Roosevelt Estate, and my friend was so hesitant that we almost turned around. There was no sign for the Vineyard, and you have to drive down this narrow path in between tall grass and bogs to enter. We eventually saw a small sign with an arrow for the Vineyard, but as we got to the first building, we saw very few cars and people. We saw another car come by and continue down the next (very narrow) path, so we followed it into another makeshift parking area, where we essentially parked on the grass. We followed some folks walking down a third path (which led to yet another parking area, which we realized is where most parked) and finally spotted the vineyard. It's definitely quaint and rustic - basically an area behind a fence adjacent to the actual vineyard. There were a ton of people (we arrived around 2pm) gathered around plastic tables and seating but each group was spaced out. As soon as we entered, the hostess had us sign in and found us some open seats. We went into this small shack and two women welcomed us, served us our tastings, and explained what each wine was. We paid and took our wooden boards of five tiny shot glasses to our chairs and enjoyed the scenery. Thankfully we just had lunch, but I did see some snacks for purchase in case we were hungry and you can bring your own food too. Our tastings included Chardonnay, Rose', Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and a Blush. All were good, although I feel the temperature of them were slightly warm - it kind of affected the taste for me. As we returned our wooden boards to the shack, we did spot another area at the back with some folks standing around a fire pit, which seemed like an ideal area for a larger group.

Nice local gem with great views of the vineyard, very secluded and private area other than lirr trains running by now and then. We went on a beautiful sunny day, had lots of seating options - almost all of them in the shade which was nice . Reservation was quick and easy and staff - very friendly. Bonus points - you can bring your own food and they are dog friendly which is awesome. However to my big disappointment the wine was terrible! Some of the wine had a very strange taste , I wanted to like it but I could not! And for $30 a bottle it could have been much much better! The only one I could sip on was the merlot and the Rose was semi okay because it was chilled. Overall - pleasant experience , just wishing they had better tasting wines.

Ima keep it short and brief for this one. Keep in mind I'm a red wine person, not white. Pros: - their rosé is great - the atmosphere and scene is beautiful - house tour to learn the history - great to give your partner a quick scare as it'll look like your pulling up to a haunted house through some back roads - loved the serving tray Cons: - their Merlot (tasted almost watered down) and Cabernet (wasn't so much bold, but just very alcoholic, like cheap wine) stick with the rosé or if you're not a rosé person like me, just pass this spot - heard there's options for food but only saw menu for their tasting menu (but heard it's amazing so should pair it with their rosé) - they didn't have glass to help with the aeration of the reds (didn't affect grading as it was part of their Covid precautions)

It is a cute little vineyard. The wine is cheap and delicious. You get to sit outside bring your own beer and pets. Very nice staff!! We joke it's a hillbilly shack but it's adorable. They have lights and music and a hidden gem.

Found this place through Yelp and made a reservation to try it out and it didn't disappoint! Very secluded gem that allows you to bring in your own snacks/food with a friendly and welcoming staff. The wine is great, too! Definitely will be a returning customer.

Off the beaten path and was wondering where my GPS was bringing me. Once we found it, it was a quaint vineyard and the wine flight was surprising for the selection available. I felt the merlot was what a proper one should be. Let the wines breathe a lil and the flavor will enhance. Also, we didnt bring our dogs but the vineyard is dog friendly and will bring them next time.

    Beautiful vineyard in Sayville!

We've been to Greece and FIV's food is the closest we've had since coming back home to Long Island. Their drink selection was varied and excellent. Our server was both sweet and knowledgeable. That's not necessarily a problem--businesses can host private events while remaining open to other guests. The problem was that when I needed to use the restroom, I was told I had to wait until the private event was over because the restrooms were reserved for event guests. If that's the policy, then why are you accepting reservations for other patrons at the same time? Basic amenities like restroom access shouldn't be unavailable to paying customers. It's completely unreasonable to invite guests onto your property, take their reservation, and then tell them they can't use the restroom. The whole situation felt poorly planned and incredibly inconsiderate. If a private event prevents you from providing normal accommodations to other guests, then either don't accept additional reservations or make alternative arrangements. This was a frustrating experience and not one I would choose to repeat.

As we walked around, we were amazed by the rows and rows of flowers. Everything was neatly arranged, healthy, and obviously cared for with pride. These were some of the finest flowers I've ever seen anywhere. While we were there, we spoke with a gentleman named Steve. He caught our attention when he pulled into the place with his vintage muscle car. I made a promise that day to return this year and buy his flowers. So yes, as promised, we visited this past Thursday, and purchased what we needed for our front and back yard gardens. There planted and by far are the nicest flowers we've ever had in our yard. The quality is outstanding, and the guidance Steve provided made all the difference. Whispers Vineyard & Nursery has earned our business for years to come. (BTW We drive over one hour to get here and its so worth it.) The great wine adds to the experience. The genuine customer service which is becoming harder to find these days was a home run here. For us, it wasn't just shopping for flowers-it was a well-planned day trip and a wonderful experience from start to finish. Clare & Larry B. Oceanside NY
