    Super cute things to buy
    Paige H.

While searching for healthier dishes in the area, this restaurant popped up, and as soon as we realized that this place was all about the witchy/spiritual vibes, we were sold. When we walked in the atmosphere was amazing. There is a little area where you can buy stickers, stones, candles, and trinkets, and the other side of the place has a table for eating, but it's quite small. They even have taro card readers/psychics show up for readings every so often. The food was just as amazing as the ambiance. The salads are delicious and the banana bread is even better. We ended up coming back a second time and buying a whole loaf because it was so good. The owner is so nice and great to talk to. Definitely come give one of these salads a try. You won't be disappointed.

Ritual Salad is a gem! The salads are to die for, and the banana bread is the best I've ever had--hoping they start selling it by the loaf soon. The owner is SUPER nice, and the apothecary is beautifully curated. Can't wait to come back! When visiting in the area for a week I had to go back at least twice, it was that good!

build your own salad - the mushrooms and roasted brussel sprouts were an amazing addition. The dressings - green goddess and lime cilantro

So happy to have this establishment join the Duluth restaurants! Browsing the shop while waiting for your order is super fun! As someone exploring crystals, sage, and more this place has a special place in my heart! Now, on to the salads! Love the customizations, love the salad options with no substitutions for those who need to be instructed what to have on their salads :), and the soup option was delicious! Highly recommend giving Ritual Salad a try! You'll love it!

Harvest Moon with banana bread (gluten free!)

This place is a true gem. They just opened a few months ago and are absolutely killing it. The salad game here is incredible and accommodates so many dietary restrictions - gluten free, vegetarian, vegan. The shop itself is small, so it's more of a takeout spot, but it sounds like they have plans to add seating outdoor. The staff were fabulous and clearly very knowledgeable and passionate about healthy, quality food. I'm so glad I stumbled upon this place. It was exactly the lunch I was looking for and honestly was maybe one of the best fast salads I've ever had - tons of unique toppings, perfectly balanced dressings and a great portion. We will be back!

    Harvest Moon

It takes a LOT to truly impress me, but you've done it. I didn't know my body was craving this and I'm so glad my spirit just lead me in today. I had a hard time choosing what to try first. I knew I should just go with something off the menu in opposed to creating my own, because I heard the owner knows what she's doing. I chose the Harvest Moon with chicken and banana bread on the side. It is BEAUTIFUL! What an amazing culinary combination. Aside from being huge, it appealed to all the senses with its colors, textures and aromas. Two ramekins of the maple vinaigrette was exactly the right amount and perfect accompaniment to this medley of deliciousness. The banana bread was divine. Two cute little slices just sweet enough to perfectly pair with the rest. Absolutely love this place.

Even though we are visiting Duluth during this crazy time of the wild fires, Duluth Grill made our trip worth it! They have a streamlined process for getting seated, the staff are welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu and local area. My family ordered the usual staples: biscuits and gravy, pancakes and sausage, and bacon/eggs/sausage. All were hearty portions and perfectly prepped. I tried the "Triple B" which turns out to be a Midwest version of Bibimbop. Made with manoomin (wild rice), beef/pork mix, kimchi, marinated kale- probably my fave of the dish. The combo is a deliciously perfect power meal to start any day and weekend right! I was pleasantly surprised and impressed by the care they take in procuring local ingredients- even their kale and some herbs are from their own lil garden. I highly recommend the Duluth Grill, there's something for everyone! We will definitely stop by on our next trip out to Duluth.

The restaurant overlooks the lake, making for such a beautiful and relaxing setting. The ambiance is absolutely charming, and I loved the serveware, it gave the whole meal a lovely high tea feel. The food was on the pricey side, but every single thing we ordered was absolutely delicious. They also had a display of freshly baked goods at the front, so we picked up a few treats to take on the road. Those were just as amazing as our meal! The staff was incredibly welcoming and sweet, and I loved all the thoughtful little touches throughout the restaurant. One of my favorites was the guestbook they invite visitors to sign before leaving. It's details like that that make a place feel extra special. I would absolutely recommend stopping here if you're driving the North Shore. Beautiful views, delicious food, and such a warm, memorable experience.

Located…read moreconveniently in the center of Canal Park, we stopped by on a sunny Wednesday early afternoon, hoping to score some of the best sandwiches in town. Even though this was well past lunch time at 2PM, the outside patio was packed and there was a line of 10 people or so to contend with to order at the register. Due to how busy it was, our food took about 20 minutes to arrive. The Squealy Dan, Porketta ($16) - Unlike most other restaurants with Iron Range Porketta, Northern Waters slices their porketta thinly instead of pulling the pork apart. It has a pleasant spiced flavor and the texture feels as if it's cured rather than roasted. It's relatively tender, and while they give a decent amount of meat, it's completely overshadowed by the heavy spicy quality of the black pepper and the acidity and vegetalness of the crunchy pepperoncini. There's a bit of melted gooey provolone on top of the porketta. While nice, there's not enough to balance out the peppers. This is all on a crusty almost baguette-like hero roll, toasty and warm. The sandwich is served with a side dip that's essentially black pepper and pepperoncini water. Definitely not needed given how overwhelming those elements are in the sandwich. (3/5) Pastrami Mommy ($19) - I haven't had bison pastrami before. Now I know why it's not very common - it's way too lean and dry compared to beef pastrami. Still, it's nicely spiced and peppery, and there's not much of the bison gamey flavor since it's cooked out from the curing. There's a little bit of mayo underneath and some mustard on top, but it's not enough moisture or fat in my opinion to counteract the leanness of the bison. While there are some slices of provolone above the meat, they are served cold. I feel like melting it with the pastrami on the griddle would do wonders to help develop some more unctuousness. It's also served on cold rye - perhaps toasting with some butter would also help. Otherwise, the sandwich is just too dry and lean for my tastes. (3/5) I feel like I ordered the wrong items. I probably should have gone with some of the seafood sandwiches, but I found it strange they only serve Atlantic salmon rather than local lake fish. In the end, I appreciate that Northern Waters Smokehaus makes most of their meats in house, but after trying their food, I feel like it's more hype than substance. Bathrooms - Larger ones located upstairs, shared with the rest of the businesses in the mini mall. Note: Northern Waters Smokehaus charges a 3% credit card fee. This is disclosed on a sign at the front register. Food: [3/5] Service: [ ] Other: [+] Final Rating: 3/5
