Chimichangas with Shrimp, Texas margarita, and chips and salsa.

Comida tan rica en WI! Wow! The food is amazing. The atmosphere is comfortable. The Texas margaritas are perfect and enormous. The service was top notch. Love this place!

We visited this spot as a broader family, and everyone was able to find something they enjoyed! The family started off with the standard chips and salsa then added cheese dip which was creamy and added some flavor. We tried the chicharrones which were 1 - much larger than anticipated, 2 - cooked perfectly, and 3 - the guacamole was incredibly fresh. My husband and I split the Fajitas Parillada Mexicana for one and still had about half to take home. This has quickly become one of our new favorite spots to visit in the area. Parking: The space is large and the parking lot seems to fill quickly on the weekend. Salsa: to me, it tasted a bit like Tabasco sauce, but each person's palate is unique.

Great customer service. Food was delicious. The chips are thin and crispy without being greasy. The entrees were large, and we had enough to bring home for a second meal.

Hominy side for adding to menudo
    Sandra W.

This is the first time trying their new location in superior Wisconsin. We came in specifically to try the menudo they only serve so far on Sundays. Did not see it on the menu so we asked for it. The new place was really nice, super clean and so were the restrooms. First and foremost great parking. There is a nice little patio seating outside if you prefer. Upon being seated we got a basket of warm thin tortilla chips with salsa (love their salsa) not to runny not to chunky just right with just a small amount of cilantro not overpowering like some. Very thin warm homemade chips. We ordered the menudo, our waitress was great to help since we never had it before suggesting to add the hominy corn she added it to the side for us to add if we wanted and of course we did, it added a little something, something to this very rich down home tasty stew/soup, with a side of limes, cilantro, chopped onions and flour tortillas. Who knew, after being a Texan for 40 years with one year in SanAntonio it should have been something that should have been tried sooner. One note: it was a little on the fatty side so if you don't like some fat you may not like this.. we also ordered the ENCHILADAS CANCUN plate: Three cheese enchiladas topped with grilled wine shrimp, scallops, mushrooms, and fresh spinach, covered with cheese chipotle sauce and rice. Perfection, we love it. Staff as always super friendly, we will be back again next week to try more new stuff. Of course we will be back again on a Sunday to get more menudo.

when we first walked in it was 2:30pm on a monday and the restaurant looked very empty. the server at the front told my party "give us a minute." on mondays margaritas are half off so the margarita pitcher was only $11. the flavor wasn't the best but worth the price. the shrimp fajitas had a variety of vegetables which i really enjoyed. the mushrooms, yellow squash and zucchini were my favorite. also they charged $1 for spicy salsa. compared to other mexican restaurants it was just alright but one of the better mexican restaurants i been to in wisconsin. i would return for the drinks and there were cute neon signs in the restaurant.

We had checked reviews and saw there were some reviews indicating this restaurant was not as good as it used to be. We decided to see for ourselves as the menu, other positive reviews sounded like it was an incredibly good place to go. It is. It was. It was busy, being a Sunday morning especially, but the staff was handling it all well from our perspective . I used to manage restaurants a long time ago and was impressed with the flow. Our waitress, Natalie, was delightful, knew the menu well to describe and answer questions, and we were not wanting for anything. She checked on us, always grinning and managing the iace well. I had the banana bread pancakes. A perfect choice ! They came and looked like a picture stacked up and flowing down with Carmel, maple bourbon syrup, marzcapone cream and nuts. So delicious. I took half home and enjoyed the rest later. Heated up perfectly with a 20 second zap in micro. My son had the corn beef hash skillet and said his was just as good as mine. We both agreed that we had no idea why reviews were negative, especially going on a busy morning. We will be going back every time we visit. I recommend you do too.

Today I went for the Blueberry Yum Yum which is a chicken sandwich with blueberry compote and jalapenos. They make their own compote and are almost out so hurry while you can to try this item. Very good and very messy but the combo worked surprisingly well. Don't miss the hashbrowns as they are truly excellent. And the Local tea is always a favorite with honey and lemon. Free parking. Cynthia S. did a great job serving us today.

The view of the lake as you enter the main dining room is spectacular. If you are fortunate enough to visit on a good-weather day during the summer, the patio experience cannot be beat. Every time I have visited, the staff have been genuinely gracious and caring. Add a unique and generous drink menu on top of a delicious selection of meal options what more could you ask for? Many of the menu items are gluten-free or gluten-free on request. As with most of their menus, brunch options are unique and worth the visit. Lake Superior Hash is a unique and tasty recommendation. I cannot say much about most of the dinner menu, because I ALWAYS order the ribeye, though I have added the scallops on occasion. The quality and preparation of the ribeye are well above most restaurant standards. Don't miss it! I also enjoy just stopping in for a drink. I have struck up conversations at the bar with perfect strangers, while enjoying one of the signature cocktails (don't miss the Minnesota Old Fashioned). Be sure to make a reservation. This is the one mistake you can make at the Boat Club. With a restaurant of this quality, you cannot assume there will be an open table for a walk-up.

A year ago, I was at Boat Club--a pleasant place with impeccable service. Now, 6/17, the staff is new and inexperienced, and the manager gives vague answers and doesn't solve the problem. It was impossible to have a good time when the temperature in the main room was at least 67 degrees. It seemed like they wanted us to leave as soon as possible. The adjoining room where the bar is located was at least 72 degrees. The Mall was at least 70 degrees. The manager, who seemed completely out of touch--as if he didn't even know what was going on--didn't solve the problem. On the contrary, he dramatically announced that he was going to raise the temperature. Instead, it got even colder. Very unpleasant. Another employee told me that the temperature is controlled from the hotel. Who's telling the truth? I don't like being taken for a fool. It's a shame--I was looking forward to spending an evening with my family and having a pleasant dinner. It didn't turn out that way. Translated with DeepL.com (free version)
