If you're considering doing business with this dealership, I would advise caution. A few months ago, I spoke with a salesman named Sean about trading in my vehicle for a truck. At the time, my credit score was lower, and he explained that I was only approved for up to $30,000, which I completely understood. I took that feedback seriously, worked on improving my credit, and returned today with a score that was 100 points higher along with $5,000 to put down. After waiting for some time, Sean approached me but immediately dismissed me, as if I were wasting his time while he was focused on another sale. He attempted to revisit our previous conversation and claimed that we had already discussed being too far apart on the trade-in value of my vehicle. However, that topic was never brought up during our initial meeting. When I respectfully pointed this out, he insisted that we had discussed it and that I was mistaken. What made the situation worse was his tone and behavior in front of other customers. He stated that he sells hundreds of vehicles and implied that I didn't know what I was talking about. When I calmly advised another family nearby to be mindful due to the lack of clear communication, he responded by saying they were "fine because they have money," and that I did not--then told me I could leave. Even setting aside the initial miscommunication--which could have been resolved--the way I was treated was unprofessional and unnecessarily disrespectful. I returned as a more qualified buyer, with improved credit and cash in hand, only to be dismissed and spoken to in a demeaning manner. I'm not sure where to even begin with the nightmare it has been buying my vehicle from this dealer, but I'll try and explain it all so other people who are in the market for a car are well aware of how bad the experience I had here was. 1. I travelled from NY to FL to buy my vehicle here, and they were aware of the trip I had to make for this, and the fact that I was going to be driving the vehicle all the way back up the east coast to NY. I asked multiple times to make sure everything was legit and good prior to me making the trip. The whole entire process was rushed, the communication was extremely poor, and I felt like there was absolutely no customer service or care taken into consideration. 2. When I arrived at the dealer to pick up the car, I was informed that there was only one key at that time. At no point was it EVER communicated with me that they sold vehicles without a second key. This will be an additional cost for me to get a new key from an authorized GM/Chevy dealership. HORRIBLE communication or covering up and concealing things about the vehicle until you arrive to buy. 3. When I got inside of the vehicle, there were no floormats. Again, the dealer never once ever mentioned no floormats are included with the car. This was an additional cost for me to purchase new factory mats from the manufacturer once I was back home. AGAIN, terrible communication and concealment. 4. The vehicle had extremely terrible window tint on the back window which was causing complete and total ZERO visibility. The dealer sold the vehicle knowing very well this was a safety hazard. Whether the dealer sold this without caring or the service department overlooking it, this should have never happened or be sold in this condition and they never once communicated this before I arrived. The zero visibility almost caused not one but TWO different incidents that would have caused serious destruction to the vehicle when driving it back to NY. 5. The dealer sold the vehicle claiming it had never been in an accident or had any body work done to it. This was a lie. My vehicle is at a body shop now being fixed and having the issues corrected because it very clearly was involved in a crash. Again, if the service department or dealer had looked at the car and inspected it carefully, they would have seen that was the case. They either didn't care and sold it without disclosing the information or it was a rushed and very poor inspection which they didn't see. 6. While the dealer might not have too much control over this, it has taken me almost 6 weeks to receive my new plates and registration. The dealer had to issue a 2nd temporary plate and FL registration, and over night it to me so that the vehicle could still be driven while waiting for the NY plates and registration to arrive. If you're someone purchasing a vehicle from this dealer from out of state, just know that it may be a very slow process for you to receive your items in order to drive the vehicle legally. They use a 3rd party agency to process and take care of registration and plates, versus handling it themselves. This was not disclosed to me. When I reached out to them through email on some of these issues, there was no good response, and it just seemed like they didn't care or shrugged it off. I'm not sure exactly how this dealer was rated or voted the #1 in the area, but I can tell you I received the absolute worst service and care with my purchase. Plus, the fact that they knew I was flying in from a far distance to purchase this and drive it all the way home should have meant that I was communicated with better and I received better customer service without being rushed. I highly suggest if anyone is looking for a vehicle, they think twice about purchasing from this dealer or avoid it at all costs. If you do decide to purchase from here, make sure you are communicated with better than I was, you do a full inspection of the vehicle before buying it and make sure they fix/resolve serious issues and safety concerns before you drive it away. read more

Bait and switch is all I can say. The dealership sent me a purchase agreement that I agreed to and they changed the numbers after I drove 2 hrs. So sad this is still a practice in car sales. I expected more from this dealership. During test drive I noticed the car was damaged. The salesman did not inform me before I drove over the car had damage. The car was also misrepresented. The car does not have options that advertised. Not even sure if this was the right car!. The salesman could care less. Very unprofessional. Over all experience was a bad one. Wow wow wow! First off I just want to say we had an amazing experience at Rivard Buick GMC. Our sales person was named Rick Lavendar. He was the most patient, understanding and likeable guy! He spent all day with us while my husband and I narrowed down our list of 7 trucks to 1. Even when we thought we had picked the one and last minute decided to change our mind, he never got upset or rolled his eyes. The entire experience was smooth. We didn't have to go to a seperate finance manager because he was able to do it all. He was really looking out for our best interest and not pushy when it came to warranty and options. I typically don't write reviews, but my recent experience at Rivard Buick GMC warrants attention. I scheduled an oil change appointment two weeks in advance and arrived promptly for my 9:30 AM appointment, checking in at 9:28. I was told the service would be completed by noon. At 12:01, I received a text notifying me that my car still hadn't made it into the shop. I received no additional updates, so I called at 3 PM, was placed on hold, and eventually sent to voicemail. At 4:59, I received another text asking me to "bear with them" as they were still trying to get my vehicle in. My car was finally ready for pick-up at 5:58 PM--over eight hours after my scheduled appointment. This level of delay for a routine oil change is simply unacceptable, especially when an appointment has been made. There appears to be a serious disconnect in the service department, whether it is due to inadequate staffing or scheduling issues. I hope this feedback prompts management to evaluate and improve their processes, as customers should reasonably expect more timely service. read more

I'm so DISAPPOINTED! My GMC Yukon Xl suv had been at the dealership since Christmas morning Dec 2025. My husband is very adamant about taking vehicles back to the company that manufactured it, so the vehicle is fixed correctly! After countless visits and phone calls I was told that the wheels on my vehicle were not available because GMC didn't make them anymore. Of course I wasn't happy about this because I wanted my vehicle the way I purchased it. I was told by the service department that I had to come pick out new wheels. When I arrived the service representative Logan took me to his computer where I had to pick my wheels from. I picked what I thought was going to be nice wheels.... But, once installed on my vehicle they look nothing like what I picked out on the computer! The wheels look plastic and it makes my expensive truck look cheap, which I PURCHASED AT THIS DEALERSHIP by the way. We also expressed problems the vehicle was having that were NOT even written up on the work sheet! After two more visits on January 28, 2026 my vehicle was returned to me because I kept going up to the dealership asking about my truck! My vehicle remained untouched sitting under a tree all of that time. I know this because when they finally moved it the ONSTAR alarm went off at 12:34HRS on Monday January 26, 2026. When my truck was returned to me there was DEBRI ALL OVER IT AND IT WAS FILTHY proving my truck had been sitting there for a month as I suspected. When I saw my truck I cried and tried to complain and it fell on death ears! The next day my vehicle BROKE DOWN on me. And it's back at GMC. My husband and I have been renting vehicles that's been coming out of our pockets and other expenses. We were given a loaner that was returned and I'm back in a rental again. The service manager Bob choose to argue with my husband saying this is my fault because I picked out the wheels. The company could've simply went on the car lot and gave me some wheels off the lot and I would've been satisfied with that! Instead of doing the right thing everything was done WRONG! To give me a piece of mind I'm going to have my truck towed to another dealership so it can be fixed correctly and GOD'S WILLING this can be put behind us! That will put us at February 2, 2026. I dealt with Sammy in the purchase of a new GMC terrain. Straight forward like any sales person, he just wants to make the sale and move on. Which is fair I can understand that but my only gripe even though it sounds minor is that the paint is in need of some corrections. I addressed with Sammy the issues of there being hard water spots on the windshield and the paint, he responded "oh you know how it is with these black cars you can't keep them nice" .... Ummm no sir it's a brand new car so I expect the paint to be free of small little blemishes. Another issue I noticed is that there is already swirl marks all over the car, I guess it's from them taking it to the car wash or cleaning guy washing it with a dirty mitt. Mind you roughly 70% of the car is covered in hard water spots. Right now I'm looking at roughly $250 in paint corrections from a local detailer. I understand now why the car was sitting so long on the lot. The other annoyance is the rubber mats, I asked if I could get them thrown in. Most car purchases I make they throw in the rubber mats if I'm persistent about it. Sammy told me don't worry the purchase of this vehicle will make it that your GMC account will have enough points to get rubber mats for free! Guess what... no it didn't. It didn't even give me enough points to cover the front row rubber mats. So at this point that's just being deceitful so you can get me to stop asking for it. The price of the car I was pleased with but the issues with the paint I feel justified the price I paid for the car. 1/12/24. Justin R. made it right with the floor mats. My salesman I liked I bought a used Chevy Silverado back in November of last year was in the first 30 days. It had to go back into the dealership because the engine had failed. It took a little over 90 days for before was fixed, but my biggest issue is I spent over $58,000 and they wouldn't even make me an extra key so I have one key for a $60,000 vehicle and the dealership didn't even care that amazes me. and also, my truck has a knock to it whenever I make a hard right turn on hard left turn. Wonderful salesperson, and absolutely love the car. Was promised a fully inspected car with full tank of gas and detailed car inside and out. After taking over 3 hours to receive delivery, I did in fact get a full tank of gas but the car was dirty on the inside and FILTHY on the outside. I had issues with my Sierra HD I got from this dealer since day 1. The truck was dented, and grill was damaged. They did own up to those 2 items while I was there. When I got home with the truck the first week I noticed fluid drops on my brand new drive way. I thought to myself it was probably the mailman's car, or someone else's but definitely not my brand new truck. I did my first oil change @ 2000 miles like I do with every truck I buy and I noticed a red fluid leak right by the front pump in the transmission. I honestly didn't think much of it and wiped it down thinking it was residual from the assembly line. Today I get back under the truck to monitor the leak and once again it's there after I had wiped it off. I contacted the sales person Joe and he told me to take it in for warranty in my local dealer. My local dealer told me that parts were not in stock and it would take them 10 days to even look at the truck. I called Joe back and guess what? Radio silence. I called the finance manager Danny and Danny told me he would speak to the owner of the dealership and call me back. When he called back he said he would send a new truck down on a flat bed and pick mine up but he would call me back after checking stock. When he called me back he was already saying how he had to work the numbers, which I didn't think much of it. When he called me back, they were trying to sell me another truck, and I would lose out on my $6500 down payment for the current truck that I have that has a leaking transmission. Upon receiving the paperwork, none of the numbers added up. The rebates were not all there, apparently because I refinanced my current truck before the 6 months. Magically I get a call back from Joe(clearly because he was working this deal again to make money) to tell me how much money they have lost on the deal due to the dents, damaged grill. None of this is my fault, neither is the dealerships fault. It is the damn quality of these trucks. However, they could have made this a lot easier for me instead of trying to take advantage of the situation to try and make more money off a problem that we both now have. They will tell you that they sell for under invoice and they don't make money which is a lie, they will always make money off the trucks they sell you. They made 5000 from the truck I turned in. Everyone is in business to make money I'm not mad at that, but when I pay 80,000 for a truck I don't want it with a dent, damaged grill or a leaking transmission. They made me feel like they were doing me favor selling me this lemon for 80,000. I feel bad for people that have to work there under these conditions. Please take this review seriously and do yourself a favor and go elsewhere unless you want to be taken advantage of and everyone's hands in your pocket. I now have a ticking time bomb of a transmission under my main tool for work. No parts in stock to fix it, no loaners, no availability for a fix all while everyone screams they did you a favor to sell you a trash can. Please, go elsewhere! read more

It is pretty bad out there with the chip shortage. A sales person did get keys and show her a used one so she can see if she likes the dash layout, Seats, size, etc. He told her to check on line and if she sees a new one that is a real photo, not a stock photo, come back because they have stock. My recent experience with Rivard after coming back from Iraq. I walk onto the lot yesterday, August 20, 2021, And was there 45 minutes walking the lot looking at vehicles without being approached by anyone. I got back into my vehicle on the lot and called The dealership and talked to a young man then the phone went dead. I called back and talked to the same young man who informed me the vehicle that I was looking for which was $54,000 was being used by one of the employees to deliver some items. I confirmed that the vehicle that they are selling, they were using to deliver items for the dealership and putting more miles on it and he confirmed. He then informed me he had no idea when the vehicle would return. I said OK I guess I will leave and not look at any other vehicles and he said OK bye. While sitting in the same parking spot, I called and left a message for the sales manager, Steve. A couple hours later Steve contacted me and advised that he gave permission to the employee to use the vehicle that I was going to look at and he would have somebody call me back when it arrived. The following day which is today August 21, 2021, I received a phone call from a salesman saying that the vehicle was being cleaned up and it would be ready in about an hour or two to be seen. I advised the salesman I would come in later in the day to take a look at it which I did and this brings me to this part of the story. I park in the same spot, right up front in customer parking and start walking the lot and find the vehicle that I'm interested in. I was on the lot for 45 minutes looking at that vehicle and every single one of the other vehicles for sale and not one salesman came out of the air-conditioned showroom and approached me and asked me if I needed any assistance. A little bit about me: I previously purchased the vehicle I am in now a GMC Acadia Denali from this dealership in 2019. My credit score is 845 and I just got preapproved via email from Bank of America for 2.2% interest. I have enough money to buy cash two of these vehicles however this dealership will never see any of my return business and I will do everything in my power by word-of-mouth to make sure no customers step foot on this property. I want to review this business with 5 stars, but there was an issue. My husband and I bought a brand new vehicle online. We didn't see the vehicle until we went to pick it up. There were two reasons we did it this way--the pandemic and the drive (about an hour). When we inspected the vehicle, we realized it had a scratch. That meant that we had to leave the vehicle there. They did volunteer to bring us the vehicle instead of having us drive there again, which was great. However, it really messed up our whole buying experience. We never did get a demonstration of the vehicle's features. The purchase date was left as the date we saw the car. That meant that the trials of OnStar and Sirius were both about a week in when we finally got the vehicle. I do feel that someone should have noticed the scratch prior to us coming to pick up the vehicle and they should have fixed it and rescheduled us before we saw the vehicle. On the positive side, our sales person was always available and answered any and all questions we had. The vehicle is beautiful and we are happy with it. We did mess up because the vehicle doesn't have front sensors. We didn't realize this because we didn't see the vehicle. So, to be honest, I do not recommend buying a vehicle without spending a good amount of time with it prior to purchase. The service performed was great nothing found when checked and completed oil change on my car. The service needs improvement. I was quoted a special for $66.57 because the service person - Kiara Herrera didn't review before the invoice was reviewed and promotion code had to be entered. I didn't get a clear discharge and not shown where the car was outside of the service area. I appreciate Catherine at cashier to note the invoice was incorrect and Kiara had to correct it.
