From start to finish my experience was enjoyable. Of course I wasn't happy to bring my car in on a wrecker, but the guys at this dealership made it less painful by their professionalism. Fair warning to all Alfa Romeo owners, I do not recommend you bring your vehicle here. They have demonstrated severe incompetence and negligence when repairing and servicing my vehicle. I was locked out of my vehicle after using my own diagnostic software, not realizing it had a bug when diagnosing a throttle body code. Because my vehicle was in a "no crank" state, I was forced to take it to a dealer to unlock it since it required a certain level of professional software. Since it was already at the dealer for this, I had them fix the original issue, which was the throttle body. They charged me a total of ~$1900 to unlock the software, "diagnose" the issue that I already told them about, and replace the $122 part. So the labor was exponentially high, but I ate it. Well, after driving the vehicle home, which drove fairly rough, I opened the hood to see that the High Temp (engine) coolant reservoir was significantly overfilled and the Low Temp (intercooler) reservoir was underfilled. Further, I used a borescope to inspect the throttle body. The part was new, but the throttle body was not torqued down properly and the air pipe to the throttle body was not properly seated or tightened down either. There was also a new dent on the passenger side door. The screw covers for the engine cover were missing and one of the bolts was left stripped and halfway out. Brandon Garcia is the service advisor that I worked with. I reported these problems and sent over the evidence. They agreed to replace the engine cover and refund $300, but neglected any responsibility for the dent. So then, they still made $1600 on improper service that I had to correct myself. They took partial accountability for the issues, but repeatedly tried to gaslight me that it was normal, parts were already missing, or the dent was already there. I was able to objectively counter most of those claims, but the dent is harder to prove. However, the tow company states there was no pre-existing damage and the dealership has no images or documentation denoting pre-existing damage. Imagine someone who doesn't understand cars is in this situation, or maybe someone more vulnerable. Just imagine how this dealership is going to take advantage of them. Is this someone you want to trust? I wouldn't. Brandon Garcia and Ed Morse have done the bare minimum in taking only partial responsibility for damages and negligence. It's unfortunate that such unprofessional and untrustworthy organizations and people exist. read more

I was interested in purchasing a cadillac xt5 and I was talking to Ismael, an internet sales agent. I asked if it would be possible for him to take a look at the vehicle and possibly shoot a quick video or speak with me on the phone while he was taking a look to evaluate for overall condition. His first response was that "it may be possible" to do this.....when asked if it would be a problem he stated that he "may be able to do it but wasn't really sure if he would have any time to do this but he would try". REVIEW # 200 !!! YEAH FOR ME!!! WHOOO HOOO ! We bought a car! We bought a car !! When retirement in the foreseeable future, plans need to be made. Fortunately hubby and I did just that and had been putting the max amount into a Roth IRA to save for our retirement car. We knew we wanted a Cadillac SRX for quite a while. Frank was forced into retirement when he was laid off from his job in December. After a few visits to our financial planner, we knew we could go ahead and buy our dream car. He made sure we were loaded with info on trade ins, car prices, and "True Car" and "Kelly Blue Book" info. We've been around the block a few times with car dealers and knew to be prepared. We arrived at Ed Morse and asked to see Al Carter since I had met him several months before when I came to look at the car. Stemming from the other reviews here, AL definitely seems to be a favorite! I introduced him to Frank and out to the lot we went to look at the SRX's. We knew we wanted either a white or gold car and the luxury package. As Al was explaining the differences to us about the packages, color came up and I believe he happened to mention a trade in they had just gotten. It was a gold SRX with the luxury package. Wha whaaaaat ! We walked over to the car, checked it out, it looked brand new! Next was the ride...perfect ! Al busily explained the workings of the car's Cue (the electronics screen and controls) as we rode. I knew by Frank's face he was in love. Being the family financial advisor I do not get excited about spending money, especially this much. The battle was commencing. I must say AL is a dream to work with. We dickered a bit and then laid out the paperwork we came armed with and said look, we need to be at this price for this to work. It all fell together and the deal was made. We traded in both our old cars and paid off the rest (good planning)! Off we went to their financial guy (he was awesome too) signed all the paperwork, were given the "you can buy this for only this much money" speech, but when we refused he dropped it and didn't bug us at all. Loved that. This was perhaps the most effortless car buying experience we've had. We knew exactly what we wanted, knew the salesman we wanted, knew what we wanted to spend, had done our homework and Ed Morse Cadillac worked with us to make it happen. We drove out with our dream Certified Pre-Owned SRX, the color we wanted, the package we wanted for $20,000 less than a brand new car. I do NOT recommend this dealer to anyone because I took my car to them for an electrical problem and according to them I had to change the transmission and differential and engine shims, the repair cost me a total of about 13,000 dollars and they told me that it could not be fixed because it was late To fix the car, I took it to another mechanic shop and the only thing I had was a broken cable and I was able to fix it. That's why I don't recommend it to anyone because they are liars. read more

Horrible service - 2013 SRX broke down while in Tampa. Took them 7 days to get the part and fix the car. First they told me they were going to get the fuse assembly from a JUNK YARD then they said they ordered one. They were having it sent overnight supposedly ordered it on 11/21 should have been there on 11/23 - no part - could not track cause system was down- REALLY - they most likely never ordered it. Monday 11/26 - still no part was told by the service manager " don't call me I will call you" 11/27 car was ready - went to pick it up - no one in service no manager no mechanics. cashier had to track down the paperwork - I have no idea what type of part they put in my Caddie. Run don't walk away from this dealership. Thoroughly disappointed that this is they type of representatives that Cadillac finds acceptable. Horrible customer service. Buying a Cadillac from Ed Morse Brandon was the worst car buying decision I have ever made. I bought a Certified PreOwned 2018 Cadillac XT5 in January 2021 from them, and after negotiating a price and making it into the finance room, additional pricing shows up-- they were charging me on top of the negotiated price, the cost to certify this PRE-owned vehicle! What?! I have never experienced this before, but since so much time was involved in car shopping to get us here, I went ahead and agreed to it.Unbeknownst to me, the vehicle would have problem after problem! Now this vehicle is just a weekend vehicle for us, and maybe gets roughly 50-200miles on average per month. The cabin had mold in it and an awful smell, so went into the shop. After 4hrs in the shop- they sprayed it with air freshener and we were finally on our way. Obviously that didn't solve the problem, so it was back in the shop! After that problem was resolved, then the backup camera went out. Then the CarPlay. Then the stall break. So we tried to sell it back to them after all these bad events within a 5month period of ownership, and then the shady sales guy Jason tried to rip us off again on selling it back to them!! Unbelievable how pathetic the customer service is at this place. And good luck getting in touch with their GM Brian Danahy- he'll just pass you off to another employee that can't help you. read more

False advertisement, horrible customer service, will never recommend to anyone. I was in communication with the internet sales manager Richard to negotiate the price of a used 2017 Chevorlet Silverado LTZ. We had agreed on the price, I came in the next day for the test drive, and ready to finalize the sale. The salesman and I signed all the paperwork, and was ready to go into finance department to take care of the final details. Long and behold, the sales manager Craig came out, and told us he cannot sell the car on the previously agreed price. He said he made a mistake, and the final price would be 5k more than what we agreed on the day before. He was very stern on this, and said the best he can do was to take 1k off. I told him I could have bought a 2018 Silverado LTZ new for that price with all the discount and rebate, instead of having any empathy to the situation, he said I should have bought it there if it was a good deal. Needless to say, I was beyond frustrated and upset about his attitude, wasted my time to be there, almost felt scammed to come in for false advertisement. There's no excuse if we worked out a deal the day before with the internet sales manager and have the deal pulled last minute, and asked me to pay 5k more. Totally unacceptable. read more

My 25 year old daughter had been in search of a very specific vehicle for quite some time. We were contacted by Tamika from Ed Morse, who had found that vehicle. Tamika contacted Me, because I listed myself as the primary. She sent me pics of the vehicle, stats and car fax. ALL showed to be good, and close to what we were looking for. So far so good. I told Tamika, my daughter would be the client, and but that she would be leaving for a vacation within a couple days. I asked her if we could do the preliminary paperwork ahead of time... credit pull, trade in, and so on. To which she was very helpful. We spent over 4 hours negotiating the price of the car, the trade in, and the monthly cost of the vehicle. I did all this to keep my daughter from having to endure this process alone, AND I made Tamika aware of that. By the time we finished, we had everything negotiated down to the payment. Again So far So good. Here's where things go drastically Wrong. My daughter arrives, as planned, at 9:30am the following morning. Keep in mind she has a 2pm flight for her vacation. Within 30 mins she has called me. They have changed the warranty from Certified Pre Owned, to Pre Owned, and raised the monthly payments by more than $100. Increased her interest from 4.9 to 5.6, and were attempting to sell her an additional warranty. I contacted Tamika and inquired as to what had happened, and surprise, No response. I finally told my daughter to get up and leave, and to NOT do business with these people. Which she thankfully did. Within 20 mins of us cancelling the entire transaction....the "manager" called me to apologize, and offered to sell me the car AT THE ORIGINAL PRICE I HAD OFFERED. Morale to the story? These people ARE the reason we don't trust car salespeople. They started out nice, went super shady super fast, and then acted as if it was OUR fault for not understanding their process. Updating my original review for Ed Morse now that we've had our first service. I brought in our SRX for routine oil/filter change, tire rotation, air filters replacement and all the other routine things they do. Elliot, my service advisor, was extremely professional and treated me as if I was his only customer. My vehicle was serviced, washed, vacumed and returned to me with a 5 - 6 page printed maintence report. The cars' software also had an update. All this, no charge, one of the benefits of a Certified Used Cad. Couldn't be happier. read more

We stopped at this dealership 9 months ago just to see what they had to offer in a used SRX. They just didn't have the deal we were looking for.... They priced $5k above other dealerships, which was crazy... and when our salesman offered a "Ford Escape" that was more in line with our budget (really? Shopping for a Cadillac SRX and they offer an Escape?), we left feeling like the salesmen were holding us by the ankles begging us not to go. But our biggest mistake was giving our salesman our phone number! He originally called about every other day and left a voice mail. Then the calls finally stopped and we thought we were in the clear. Nope! He called this week! It has been 9 months, and we bought our new SUV in Orlando 4 months ago for the exact price we wanted. This salesman's tactics have completely soured our opinion of this dealership, and I will be sure to tell my friends looking to buy a car NOT to shop here unless they want to overpay or get harassed. I've been on/off disappointed with Morse service for the past 5 years. As of today...we are done. I've driven from Lakeland to Clearwater to try Dimmitt. Let's fast forward to the last straw and what has finally caused our divorce. CUE. Yep...the infamous CUE system. After having this unit serviced a few times and, ultimately replaced by Morse, it's out AGAIN. That's a Cadillac embarrassment for another day. But, why would the service manager simply brush me off with "we will try to reset and see if that helps; otherwise, you're looking at $1100-$1200 to replace". Oh, and then proceeds to "advise" I need $900 in fluid changes. Yep...getting right on it . The nerve. Why would my husband, a moderator on several car forums, hit the forums and find that Cadillac has a refurb and Goodwill program to assist with repairs for this KNOWN debacle(?). So, we've been working with an "Infotainment" rep out of CA to get assistance. I told Cadillac, I was not going back to Ed Morse because they are only interested in selling not servicing. They called Dimmitt for me. I'm sitting at Dimmitt waiting while the CUE system is being replaced. They contacted Cadillac and got it authorized for replacement for $155 deductible from me. Ed Morse...why did you not do the same? I can only assume there is some type of compensation or bonus attached to service manager compensation that causes them to gauge instead of fo what is fair and just. Shame on you. Never again. It's a beautiful, peaceful time of reflection to cross the bay and come 50+ miles to Dimmitt, my new servicer. Where do you think we will buy when we get ready? Ed Morse? So silly!! You lost far more than $1200 for a CUE and $900 for fluids. Far more. Divorce is very expensive. Bye bye now. read more

I had come in to the dealership last Friday because I had low tire pressure in my ATS. I had bought the car used and was concerned since I only had it 3 months and was still under 11,000 miles. And it only takes nitrogen and not regular air. It was already a really tough day because I was on my way to a funeral home to pick up my father and then with the tire issue I was a little annoyed that I had to make my way to the dealership without having a scheduled appointment. I was promptly greeted by service consultant, Michael Pullaro, who took total control of my car and reassured me he'd take care of everything. He was able to figure out there was a nail in my tire and thank God it was patchable. He even took the time to thoroughly explain the process of how they patch the tire. What also really impressed me he he took the time to check over the rest of my car and realized I needed an oil change. My head had been so scattered by the passing of my father I didn't even realize my car needed the oil change. He told me not to worry and that they'd fit in the oil change and tire rotation in addition to patching my tire. This just showed me his attention to detail when it came to service. He also arranged a shuttle ride to the funeral home so that I wasn't just sitting in the waiting room. I just wanted to let Michael know how much I truly appreciated the attention and care he provided my car with. I had been to this dealership previously and hadn't received the best service but he has completely restored my faith in this dealership and I will definitely be back here again for service because I am confident with him my vehicle will be taken care of. I had purchased a pre-owned, one owner, 2012 EXT (Escalade Truck), which had been sold and serviced from the dealership. But, after my purchase, it was learned that the previous owner has installed an after market wheel on the vehicle. At the time of my purchase, this fact was unknown to the dealership. The aftermarket wheel would not allow a Cadillac wheel cap to stay on the wheel. Several dealership managers got involved and came up with a solution in which the dealership exchanged the after market wheel for an authentic Cadillac matching wheel and new cap. Every call ended up with her sounding like a broken recording, I had to stop her and ask if she had even read the complaint, her tone was self explanatory. I would like to start off by telling you that the Customer Service at Ed Morse Cadillac of Brandon is Sub par, and I feel that I could get better customer service at a by here pay here Dealer, and if I ran my business with the customer service I have received from Ed Morse Cadillac of Brandon I would expect to be out of business quickly. Let me start off this story: we purchased a New SRX from Ed Morse Cadillac of Brandon on 1/3/2015 from Al Carter ( the only bright spot of the company). After taking delivery of the SRX on the way home I noticed a blemish on the Dash Board. I called Al and told him about it and he asked if we could bring it back the next day, I was traveling out of town on business and said I could bring back the following Saturday. That Saturday 1/10/2015 is basically when the nightmare starts we bring the SRX in for a car wash and to point out the blemish, service came out and said the blemish was a fade mark and sun damage, Al runs into the back after hearing this and said let me handle it, Service Manager came out shortly after Al went back and said we have a small crew on Saturdays can you bring the car back Monday and we will try cleaning it or do what we need. That was fine because we new it wasn't sun damage. Monday I bring the car back and see Mike Murphy the Service advisor and leave him the car, a few hours later he call back an apologized but we will need to replace the dash. So I returned and picked up the Car. 1 week or so goes by and I get a call, the dash is in can you bring the car in on Monday 26th, so we did. During this time they changed the dashboard and it took till Thursday, they called me up and said the car was ready, I sent my wife over to pick the car up since I had meetings all day, First the Dealer should have never said the car was ready , and the Dealership also Damaged the car when replacing the dash. Once my wife came home she told me they damaged the car and they will schedule another appointment to repair it , I went out side to look at it , not only was there damage on the door frame from were the tech dropped the seat reinstalling it, but the dash wasn't installed correctly, it was dirty, the passenger side A/C grill wasn't aligned ,the passenger side A-pillar was covered in grease , the passenger a pillar was not installed correctly, the same with the drivers side A-pillar covered in grease. I canceled the rest of my meetings and drove right back to Ed Morse , when arriving AL the sales consultant came over to me and Mike Murphy, I started pointing out all the issues and left the car with them. After everything was resolved on Monday Feb 2 I picked up the Car, AL was outside in his Shirt & Tie wiping down the car as I pulled in . I drove the car home and later my wife went out and said to me the collision light that flashes on the dash isn't working , I called service and Tom the service Manager said I will be out to your house tomorrow Tuesday the 3rd. He got here at10 am took the car for a ride and then told us he would have to take it back to the Dealership, at 11:37 he sent me a text stating everything is fixed and will be returning the car, I said ok I am heading to the VA hospital in Tampa, the wife is home. When arriving he gave my wife a printout of how the collusion warning works, and said it was fixed. She didn't drive the car again till Thursday when she returned home she informed me the light was not working so I texted Tom and never heard back from him Thursday evening , Friday or Saturday morning . Saturday morning I called over to speak to him and they let me know he is off , so I asked to speak to the GM I received his voicemail, left him a voicemail letting him know the issue and it needed to get resolved. After that we where headed out, so I said lets take the car by the dealer. I walked in and asked to speak to General Manager, Al runs over asked what was wrong and I let him know (again Al Carter is top notch), they page the General Manager who was in the other dealership and he walked over with no urgency like he was strolling through a park, his first comment to me was I just listened to your voicemail, ok , he stated to me that Tom told him he couldn't replicate the issue but Tom told my wife & myself the issue was resolved. Also I said to the General Manager will lets go for a ride in the car because right now that light isn't working I just tried it on the way over by approaching cars at high speed and getting every close on the highway. I also mentioned to him that I sent a text to Tom Thursday and I have not heard back, when I tried to show him the text, he stated well I don't know what type of day Tom had so I can tell you why he didn't get back to you. I'm reluctant to write this, but I am a little upset. The last time I took my car on for service I was really disappointed. I took car in to have the wheels balanced and rotated. The technician cross threaded one of my custom lug nuts. I had to snap it off in order to remove it. That was bad enough, but when complained about it the service manager Judy said he was sorry it happened. No offer to remedy the problem. Now i have to have someone pull the wheel and broken lug nut and replace the set of custom lug nuts. read more
