The range parking is when you first enter the lot, as seen in the photo. There is parking along the side and towards the front of the building as well. The front is being remodeled and should be open in a couple weeks and will be the gun store. Upon arrival, we were so very warmly greeted by all the folks inside. We signed our waivers and were shown all the packages they have available since we would be renting from them. We went with the first package. We did upgrade to a .45 instead of included 9mm. My son was drawn to 1911 so that's what we rented. The package was a great deal for us first timers, since everything we needed was included. From safety gear to targets. Once we were inside, the RSO, who happened to be the owner, Parker, was so awesome. He took his time and walked us through everything and ensured we were comfortable. About halfway through, we switch to the Glock 45 which was also a fun experience.g Going with the .45s was definitely a good choice. We both enjoyed shooting with them, the 1911 was a clear favorite for us both. I recommend this range for all who have wanted to try this out. The folks here are the main reason our experience was so memorable and left us talking about the next time we will come back.

Parking is right up front, and happy hour runs from 3-6 PM for $20. It's also a great option for active military members and veterans. It feels like a newer spot, and they're doing a great job so far!

I bought a revolver a couple years ago with every…read moreintention of using it... and then I put it in my gun safe where it basically became a very expensive paperweight for two years. I finally decided it was time to stop being nervous and actually go to the range. After reading the reviews, I decided to check this place out, and I'm really glad I did. From the moment I walked in, the staff was friendly, welcoming, and very helpful. I told them it was my first time at the range, and they took the time to explain everything, answer my questions, and help me get set up. That made a huge difference because walking into a range as a newbie can feel a little intimidating. Once I got to my lane, I was only there for about 30 minutes, but I enjoyed every minute of it. My confidence definitely grew, and I left feeling way more comfortable than when I walked in. Overall, great first experience. Friendly staff, helpful guidance, and a welcoming environment for beginners. I'm looking forward to coming back for more practice -- and this time, I promise I won't wait another two years.

We all know, purchases / transfers in California are difficult and wrought with bureaucracy & nonsense. This shop, makes it simple and easy for you to get it done. In addition, they have a very nice indoor range with a VERY wide multitude of rental firearms. Aside from the good customer service & cool indoor range, they had an incredibly wide variety of stock for sale. I noticed they had VERY fair prices, like some firearms were easily $100-125 less a piece than the FUDD gun shops here in (510) Alameda County. I would say the top highlight of this gun shop was the lack of FUDD. I experienced & saw / heard zero FUDD nonsense. Just straight up good, solid, friendly customer service & plenty of great products to choose from. It's also noteworthy that they had a really good inventory of ammo for reasonable pricing. I'll definitely be spending some more money here. Keep it up guys!!

Together we've been to an indoor range in North Highlands that ai frequent, and the Mather shooting range before it closed. We came out here on a Sunday after so she could test out her new pistol, and so we could my rifles on the rifle side of the range. We checked in the main shop area, and picked up a speed loader and extra disposable ear plugs. And then eventually went out to the pistol range first. Both the pistol and long gun range alike, have a large number of shooting bags each. And each have a good range distance for shooting, wapwxially the rifle range. Definitely will be coming back for more outdoor shooting, and look forward to some long range shooting as well.

Let me tell you all the cons first and then go over all the pros of this place…read more First the name is extremely misleading because it's no where close to Sacramento. However it's really the only con I can muster because everything else is amazing. This is a beautiful and large shooting range located far for people from the Bay Area. However if you happen to be near the area (I was at the Elk Grove Sportsman's which is about 45 minutes away), I would HIGHLY recommend you to come here. Everything about this place is laid back which is great for most experienced range goers (if you've been to other ranges so you know the rules). There is no one to breath over your shoulder or even fuss with yorlur firearms. They treat you as an adult which I just love. However it's probably not a good place for first timers because they expect you to know how to handle firearms safely and properly. The cost is very reasonable ($25 currently) and they give you a free target which you staple to a wooden stand that you carry to the distance you'd like. I also love the fact it's open on Monday and Tuesday which is not the case for many outdoor ranges in the Bay Area. It's not crowded and the range master is on a speaker from a central "traffic control box" and he'll do the 2 minute warning and 15 minutes shooting announcements. Overall, it's an amazing place for shooting. Honestly if it were closer (it's almost 3 hours drive for me), I'd be making this range my primary range and pay for the membership for cheaper range fees.
