Called to compare prices for a gun I was interested in. Mike answered and asked which stores I was comparing between...(I gave him some random gun stores name) as why does the store name matter when I'm calling to ask about a specific gun? Mike then tells me he can't help me as the gun store is closed and has been closed for 6 months and that he cannot help me to see if I'm "getting played" because he does not want to compare between the store name I gave him. LOL. Mike great job patronizing me. You could have told me you couldn't help me from the beginning rather than asking what kind of gun I was looking at and what store. Lol. Crazy people here! I decided to try this gun range, I usually use the range closer to home, but I decided to give a try. The range fee is more than I usually pay. The facility is small, maybe six lanes. No worries. I noticed the range was running box fans. The outside temperature was upper 70's and 20 minutes later was sweaty. I ended my range shooting, and I won't return. read more

Andrew at this location is by far the most disrespectful person, I bought a gun from here. Upon first arrival here things went well, but as days went on I contacted him the day which was for pick up, he stated it wasn't going to happen, which I understood considering everything going with covid-19. He then contacted me on the 11th which was four days after my receiving day and told me I was late to pick it up and was very rude on the phone and actually hung up on me. As with my review for the attached shooting range, I am not an expert on firearms. Not in the slightest. So this review is in the eyes of a newbie, not someone who "knows their stuff". That being said, I really enjoy this place. I've been to all the gun shops on Laguna, and so far, this is the first place I've purchased from. The owner is friendly, funny, and HE certainly knows his stuff. He recently helped me (and my husband) choosing a firearm for me to purchase. I was even allowed to shoot it in their range while I awaited the DOJ clearance, so you better know that once we were done signing the proper paperwork, we took that bad girl to the range (yes My gun is a girl). As I've said, I'm not expert, but shopping here might make me one someday. read more

Warm welcome at the range counter and helpful tips from Dave, the gunsmith who happened to be range master. Andrew is the owner of the range and the store: his ammo selection online is huge and includes the very latest rounds like 224 valkyrie. Once the store closes you can still buy the standard calibers at the range counter. They sell brass for reloading and soon possibly lead as well. 100% positive experience and the atmosphere is like family. Left with some tips about good food in the area and came back the next day with more questions for Dave which he patiently and competently answered. I stopped in after reading some good reviews and was happy I did. I was in the market for my first hand gun and needed some guidance. Everyone was friendly and immediately put me at ease. They explained the best choices for my situation and suggested I try out the their shooting to better make a decision. With some instruction I was able to shoot the gun best suited for me. It really helped me understand and I had a great experience. I ended up buying a hand gun and they walked me through the process. This place is very nice and knows how to deal with customers. They educated me very well on styles how to improve my shooting.

I went in to buy a handgun (G19) and I didn't have a CA state ID yet. The owner helped me with the process and held the weapon for me until I was able to acquire a state license. They were respectful and even called the people that make the rules to see if I could use my military ID instead (we couldn't). Professionalism goes a long way. This shop needs it. When a customer calls to ask how much it costs to do a transfer in from out to state -- that deserves a simple answer. Not, and I quote, "Oh, JE**S, man...blah blah blah." To some people, that's 1) an expletive and offensive, 2) the customer is always right even when he might be wrong, 3) phone manners go a long way, and 4) DON'T call back the caller who doesn't want to hear your reason for being a chode THREE times. That's borderline stalking. Seriously. I couldn't have made this up...???? The only reason I give them 2 stars is because I gave them 5 stars for my initial interaction with them which went fine. You can chalk it up to a bad day. But this guy is never stopping in again. E.V.E.R. Plenty of local gun shops with customer service that beats these guys in spades. MTG Firearms for one. read more

(this review is from my visit in April, 2015) When I was looking for a Glock 19, I came by this place as I remembered my experience from last time. Unfortunately it changed as Larry, the employee that helped me out was gone. As I walked in, the guy helping me out was trying really hard to sell me the G19 that was there. He was accommodating but he pulled the "this is the last one i will ever get, buy it now as there won't be any more" trick in the book. I don't know any gun owners that watch "Aqua Teen Hunger Force" but the salesman that I delt with was pretty much Carl the neighbor if he worked there. Anyways, it did encourage me even more to get a G19 which I did do my research and found it for even less somewhere else. But just be careful and do your research before heading over as you may be paying more than the MSRP with DROS and NICS. read more

Dropping a quick thumbs up for Andrew and his crew at Laguna guns and range. Newer indoor facility with good ventilation and targets that move back and forth on rails so you and check and change targets at any time. Cordial, down to earth service. They allow shooting from the holster after you demonstrate the ability to handle your gear and follow instructions. Long guns also allowed. I thank my lucky stars we have such a facility in our neck of the woods. As of this post, $17 range fee. read more

This was my first time at this range and I went here after hearing that they allow a bit more freedom if you can show you have the appropriate skills. As a uspsa shooter, there is much I can't practice at most ranges and this range was a pleasant surprise. Actually found it after renting a Cruise America RV next door. This is one of the few indoor ranges in the area that allow rifles as well which is great if you need to site in an ar15 on a hot day. Anyhow, the staff was great, range was clean and well lit. Outside temps were near 108F but inside there was good AC and ventilation and I was very comfortable. Will definitely be back! read more

At first, you notice extremely high pressure sales in the back of a U-haul rental center which had zero guns in the display cases as of February 2016. found this shop with my friends while gassing up. went inside and was greeted by the owner Andrew. Owner is really friendly, knows what he's talking about, doesn't BS (or at least I think). Explained to me procedures on purchasing a firearm. I took the handgun safety certificate test, bought me a Glock 17 gen 3, picked it up after 10 days (California Law). I would definitely recommend this place. not too many firearms on the shelf (mostly glocks, ARs, Shotguns, bolt rifles, some revolvers), but you can always order through their website, just be sure the firearm is California legal or its going to cost you money (restocking fee, etc). you can always call them and they'd be happy to assist you. read more

My dad learned about this facility over a year ago at the Lodi Gun Show. This weekend we finally had a chance to check it out. I live in Modesto and he lives in Acampo but it was well worth the drive and we will definitely be going again. Andrew the owner was knowledgeable and very nice. My father and I both have our CCW's and are getting ready to travel to Front Sight so it was nice to be able to shoot at a range that lets you draw from the holster and rapid fire. We were done shooting for the day and were just talking with Andrew when we discovered they sale guns as well. I had been considering getting a Glock 19 and had priced them but its hard to find a place that has one in stock for a good price so when I found out that Andrew had one in stock and for the price I wanted to pay I jumped at the chance to buy it. The brand new shooting range with 9 stalls opened this week at Laguna Guns and I was very impressed with the place. The owner and staff were very friendly, I shot for an hour while the RSO Jonas observed me shooting, which I thought was great, because some ranges are too lax on safety. You can rapid fire at this range and shoot from a holster as long as you have a CCW. The ventilation at the range is excellent also. I recommend everybody to come and shoot at this range. Customer service is so bad. My husband walks in and looks around but there was no one around to help him out. So he waits. Somebody else comes in and a store clerk comes out and helps him out. He even asked if the guy needs help. My husband was there the whole time and got ignored by the clerk. That was totally rude. We are never going back there again. read more

I actually dropped in here to rent a u haul truck for my friend and discovered they had a gun shop starting up. I took a peek in there and met the owner Andrew, wonderful guy that takes the time to talk and answer any questions you might have. Their selection is pretty good for the size of the store but the PRICES! Forget any shop in elk grove these guys will beat it every time. I walked out with a new Sig AR-15 and a Kahr pistol.
