Not as expected Ordered by phone for pickup. Order was not ready when we arrived. Crust was like frozen pizza and was raw in middle. Mostly tasteless. Last half, we put in the oven to cook it a little more and it was better but still not good. We won't be trying River City Pizza again. The young man working there needs to adjust his attitude also. I order from here fairly often and get the same thing, quality is usually mostly good but never consistent to the point of overcooked cheese curds one order but golden brown the next. Pizza is always good. Wings used to be good but they changed to cheap frozen wings so they aren't worth it anymore. Will continue to order from here since they are local and fairly priced. read more

From out-of-town, so had no idea where to order pizza for my work team. Placed an order for a Traditional Thick Crust pizza from River City. Not knowing exactly where I was going, I arrived 15 minutes early. The lady who was running the show (only person I saw there) was surprised at me early arrivial but proceeded to make sure I ddidn't have to wait long. Overall, the pizza far exceeded my expectations! Horrible customer service today. Ordered a meat lovers pizza, got a half pepperoni half pineapple and olive. Both pizzas were cold. Appeared to have been sitting a while. Called to see about getting the meat pizza delivered that I ordered and was told they were too busy. I could be credited or come and pick it up!?!? Seriously, for a pizza I did not order. $54.00 + 5 for drivers tip....for cold, old, wrong pizza at a specialty pizza price! Apparently when they deliver your pizza, wrong or right order, they are done with you. Ordered pizza at the Harvard location for years and years. Never again. Zero stars from my family today. This is absolutely the best pizza we have had in Kootenai county since we moved here from Colorado 5 years ago. We had the Cowboy, ingredients were delicious, crust and sauce were all excellent. My only complaint (not really a complaint, just an observation) was that it wasn't quite cut through so it was a bit of a challenge to get individual pieces (more for me!!! ;) Service was great and they were very attentive, especially for a Friday night. At its best, I believe River City makes good pizza that is fairly priced and different/better tasting than Pizza Hut or Domino's. But there are a few tips, one of which was discovered when we ordered from them this weekend: 1. At all costs, avoid River City on Sprague. Out of the two locations, this one opened a couple of years ago, and they still cannot figure out how to properly operate it. A poorly-trained staff, long wait-times, poor quality control, and incorrect orders. 2. The Harvard Rd location seems to have a stronger staff, and they seem to be on top of it way more than the Sprague location. 3. Order carryout. Honestly, that's the best way you can check to ensure that the order is correct and the quality is there. No matter which location, they will either forget something or send you a salad with obviously brown lettuce, etc. The translation from ordering to delivery has simply not been successful for us. 4. Do not get the boneless wings. Complete rip-off. We ordered a pound, and they sent us a container that we weighed in at 12ounces, including the container...for $17.99. Yes, $17.99. Now, this one is on us because we were aware of the price beforehand, but not only were we short-changed on the amount of food, there is no way the quality of this item warrants a $17.99 price-tag. I'll put 10% blame on them for not giving us a full pound, but the rest is on us for being stupid enough to order them. Long story short, if you order from the Harvard Rd location, do carryout, and stick to pizza and the breadsticks, which are delicious and fairly priced, then you are good to go. When properly made, their pizza is actually really good with a nice chewy crust. read more

River City Pizza has totally redeemed themselves from the burnt, crispy bread & pizza we received before! Although I never received the credit mentioned by the owner, we have gladly ordered from them twice since. It appears to be evident that she addressed our issue with the staff because I can't compliment the product or service more. Tonight's experience was particularly great. I placed an order online and ordered a bottle of ranch (the stuff is great) and Sarah called me to mention that they were out of bottles. I think it shows honest customer service when companies can admit they are out of something instead of substituting or just delivering the product without it. I mentioned that we had a bottle at home but wasn't sure how refills worked through delivery. Without hesitation/optimistically she said she would find a way to deliver some as long as we could put it into our own bottle. NO PROBLEM! They delivered the ranch in a plastic bag, put inside another so that it didn't leak and presumingly stayed cold. That is above and beyond customer service in my book. Not to mention that the thick crust pepperoni pizza that we ordered topped all of the other ones we had tried and the breadsticks were much better as well! If River City Pizza continues to put out this type of food all of the time, we will have become regulars and it would make our extra pennies worth it. We tried them for the first time on Friday night and absolutely loved everything about the experience. Easiest and best delivery service we've experienced in years. We looked at a lot of reviews before deciding to try River City Pizza. Although many reviews weren't so good, we decided to try the place anyway. We ordered and paid online. Our pizza was to be ready at 6:00. My husband arrived right before 6:00 and was told it would be 10-15 minutes before our pizza would be ready. Strike 1. The person who came in after my husband had also ordered online, but they had lost his order, so he had to wait for his pizza to be made and baked. Strike 2. No one seemed to be in charge of the teenaged crew. Strike 3. The pizza was soggy on the bottom. i had to put it on a cooky sheet in a 400 degree oven for several minutes to get the crust to crisp up. The pizza toppings started a full 3 inches down onto the pizza, leaving a 3-inch crust . The pizza actually tasted okay, but neither of us felt it was worth the $27 we paid for it. We won't be returning customers. We weren't satisfied with the service or the pizza. read more

Ottis Orchards had over a two hour delay when delivering the pizza. When I called to complain and get some type of compensation for the late delivery the manager told me since it was an online order they could not track the time the order was placed so they could not compensate us. Over 100dollar Order with a 15% tip really no compensation?!?!never ordering from this location again will stick to the Valley one. I ordered 2 pizzas today at 3:30 for delivery. I called back at 4:30 and was told the pizzas were ready but they had to wait for a driver. They finally arrived cold at 5:18 (We were initially told it would be 30-40 minutes). Vegetarian pizza came with green olives after I expressly told them no green olives. The other pizza was a cowboy pizza. I had asked for the pizza with the bbq sauce (western) and I was told it was the cowboy. So when it came with no bbq sauce, I was surprised. We used to really like this place. The last three times we ordered, we had to wait 1:45-2:30 hours for the delivery. I will not order from this location any more. read more

On the way home from work in Spokane by the Argonne exit and thought that a fresh hot pizza would be mighty fine (and I wouldn't have to cook OR do dishes). I called up and was placed on hold- uh oh- maybe this wasn't going to be a positive review after all. On hold till just before Barker exit and they come on the line and take my phone #. Specials of the day included a large with 2 toppings for just under $12 would be ready in 25 min. Arrived in 14 min and had to wait a whopping 2 min for fresh hot perfect pizza. Medium thick crust (like hand tossed) perfectly cooked with decent amount of toppings. Arrived home, poured a beer to pair with it and dug in. Good pizza, fresh and hot with excellent cheese coverage and decent coverage of toppings (pepperoni and pineapple). Great easy dinner, worth a stop anytime. Both Otis Orchards and Post Falls are solid, but I've had several bad experiences in Spokane Valley. Out of convenience we decided to give them another try tonight, got the pizza home, opened the box and 1/4 of the pizza didn't have toppings on it. We're done with River City in Spokane Valley. My advice, either drive the extra distance to the Otis Orchards location, or spend your hard earned money elsewhere. read more
