We had planned on visiting the "Lake" location, but those plans changed. So, when we were looking for dinner a few nights later, we decided to try (based on a recommendation) the "Green" location. We sat outside and received great service. We ordered two pies...a Papa's Special and a Mamma Mia (on gluten free crust). The pizzas came out looking perfect and tasted great. Perfect char. One of the better pizzas in the area for sure. Flavorful, thin crust so the slices are light and don't feel heavy/doughy. Good char on the crust. Sauce is tangy, cheese and topping are good as well. Everyone at our table enjoyed the pizza and service. Drink refills kept coming without having to ask. Friendly smiles from staff. Nice, clean and open restaurant. I recommend the "Papa's Special," it's an all-meat pizza; pepperoni, sausage, salami, bacon. Loved it. Again, their pizzas are thin and light, but toppings are delicious and filling, so they are satisfying without leaving you feeling bloated. One pizza is good for 2 to 3 people. Any more in your party and you're going to want to order at least 2 pizzas. Definitely recommend! read more

By the Green, or by the lake in Hauser, you can't go wrong. This is our dedicated summer/family/birthday dinner spot. They can accommodate a large group rain or shine and they have amazing pizza! We love their peppers you can get as an appetizer. And I'm partial to the pizza with Mac n cheese on it, but you can't go wrong with anything on the menu! You can tell they love their restaurant and they have an amazing staff, servers, bartenders, all of them! I recommend Embers if you are just passing through, it's your birthday, or you're looking for some leveled up pizza! Honestly anytime. Both Embers By the Green & Embers By The Lake are outstanding. We've been to both several times, and the pizza and service never disappoint. My husband loves their deep dish pizza's and I'm a huge fan of the BLT salad. They've quickly become our "neighborhood" go to spot. Looking forward to our next meal there. read more

The previous restaurant, Fleur De Sel, was my favorite in the area so I was wondering how Embers would do. Well they totally crushed it! Totally different types of restaurants but Embers made it their own providing a nice open ambiance inside and a fabulous patio. The young gentleman that was our server was fast and friendly. I've heard about the deep dish here and needed to try it. They were kind enough to make half vegetarian and half meat. The toppings were fresh and plentiful, sauce was good, and the crust was the perfect amount of crispy. I would've like more cheese but that's just personal preference. We had quite a long wait (it was a Saturday evening after all) but the staff was so kind and attentive, and service was great all throughout dinner. Looking forward to coming back! read more

The pizzas were delicious, the variety for each person made this also an easy choice for our group. The vegan cheese option without the butter drizzle was tasty. The deep dish portion on the meat pizza was also yummy for the leftovers the next day, as the portions were big for individual pizzas. Picked up the pizzas, the location is comfy and looks like a great choice for a warm day to sit outside, they did have blankets too, it's in a golf course community but not like golf balls would be whizzing by; pick up service was friendly. read more

Go for the Alfredo pizza I had the garlic knots and they came with a side of Alfredo and I now want one of their pizza that come with that oh so creamy heavenly Sause and mind you I don't really like overly heavy sauces. While visiting friends they suggested eating at Embers & I'm glad they did. We arrived a few minutes prior to opening time, but they ushered us right in, no problem. The pizza was just delicious, the view was wonderful & the staff were all great! However, I would like to see a full bar added in. We ordered cocktails & were surprised to see them bring over cans & glasses of ice. Had I known that ahead, I would've ordered a beer instead. It's the beginning of Fall and perfect weather for dinner on the patio. Wonderful atmosphere and smells. I like that the music isn't too loud but enough to hear it. We ordered the garlic knots(dough cooked covered with butter and garlic) and then a full size pizza(you are able to do two different kinds on one pizza). Our pizza choices were truffleupagus which had olive oil as the base with truffle cheese and sausage. Our second choice was recommended by our waiter which was the guido father with marinara( marinara base with cheese blend, sausage, delicious pickled peppers, fresh basil and fresh Parmesan) and let me say no big Parma here! If you are looking for quality wood fired pizza this is the place! I highly recommend giving it a shot....maybe even check out the highland spa while you're at it. read more

On two separate occasions, we have called prior to arriving to see what the wait time is for a table. BOTH times we have been told there is no wait, only to show up to a full restaurant with at least a 20-30 minute wait. I find it hard to believe that in the 10 minutes between calling the restaurant and arriving at the door, they've packed the house and are now on a wait list. Last night we decided to wait out the 20 minutes we were quoted, only to still have no tables in sight, and a quote of at least another 30 minute wait had we decided to just order and take it home It is frustrating because their food is good, but twice now we have gone here on the assumption of there being no wait, just to end up without a table. I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place yet this is my very very very very favorite place to go eat on a date in Post Falls, Hauser Coeur d'Alene, Liberty lake or Hayden love it I love outside I love inside I love everything about it I love the waitress I get every single time she's so wonderful. I love the customer service the salads are absolutely amazing they're my favorite thing about this place besides the crazy good pizza. I love the water pitchers. When people ask me a good place to take somebody on a day I always recommend this place and they are always like oh my God I never knew that place was there it was great it was wonderful the date was so impressed. After Mourning the loss of Lucy and Sevens, I picked myself up and climbed the hill to the old Highlands clubhouse. There I found Embers by the Green. What a find for pizza and beer. Awesome! Love the location. Across from Hauser Lake! Love the outdoor firepits! The abindance of indoor and outdoor space! The heaters and blankets outdoors when it gets a bit cool! I believe I also saw horseshoe pits...and it seems they are set up for occasional live entertainment with a stage of sorts...just a great "family" / "next door neighbor" feel! Can't wait for the next time we go! I honestly do not even remember which pizzas we all ordered, but it was all good! During my visit to Post Falls Idaho, I ordered several pizzas for takeout at Embers by the Green. The brick oven pizzas were delicious! Many of the people in my party were vegetarians so most of the pizzas were a meatless. The pesto, large basil leaves and garlic crust were crowd pleasers. Though we didn't dine in, our made to order pizzas were ready for pick up in a timely fashion and the vibe in the restaurant was upbeat and lively. Been on the hunt for a really good wood fire pizza place in the area coming from seattle. Unfortunately I will keep hunting. I'm actually shocked they even call it wood fired. One of the pizzas we got was totally undercooked and way too much cheese. The Honey I'm Home was definitely better but still not up to par. The crust was too thick as well. On top of that they do not allow dogs on their patio but wasn't a big deal as there were picnic benches down below. We asked if we could do take out to go to the picnic tables they said no problem. When it was finally ready they had no utensils which we needed since we had a salad. A fight ensued with the dork at the front. They wanted to charge us for the use of the knife and fork. Also wanted a drink to take out- nope, they have no way of doing that. read more

Not sure what Melissa M is talking about - I've been going to Embers by the Lake for years and they have never accepted reservations - Embers by the Green has the same policy. You show up and if there is a table available, it's your lucky day. If not, most people happily wait knowing that they will be rewarded with a terrific dining experience.
