The pizza here is really only a three, but because they have a great staff and a fun facility for birthdays, I give it a four overall. I know my son was really grateful to have celebrated his birthday there. There is a small arcade right across from the birthday room, so that was a big bonus. The staff was very accommodating and made great recommendations. The pizza itself could have a firmer crust to hold up all the toppings as it was pretty floppy. But really, I went back for a second slice of this really large pizza, which was fun. They do have a good selection of beer. I'm not huge on hops, so wheat or light is best for my wife and I. We called to order a pizza for delivery and the staff said they could not deliver because they were short staffed. So we started an order to pick up. They could not accommodate all the toppings because they were "out" of bell peppers. After a $60 dollar order, without any effort for compensation on the lack of delivery or toppings, we ended up with a half cooked pizza similar to a chucky cheese style pizza. Love, love, love this place. We drive in all the way from Colville to get pizza here. Pizzas are huge and soooo good. Perfect amount of cheese, topping, sauce to dough ratio. Place is always clean and staff are friendly. If you are planning to get to go on a Sat make sure you call your order in with plenty of advance notice as they can get pretty busy. Omg! This is a true family run business and the food is incredible good! If you like mushrooms, you will love the batter on the mushrooms, good flavors and crisp. I cater lunch for my work weekly Tuesday-Thursday for approximately 80 people each day. I called to get information on the sizes of the pizzas so I would know how many pizza's I would need to accommodate that amount of people. The male I spoke with was extremely rude and condescending. I will be taking our business elsewhere to a restaurant that appreciates their customers and understands the importance of good customer service and treating people with respect. Pizza and food were really good. Service was awful. Ordered pizza at 7. They took 45 mins for our pizza which would have been fine but then they rushed us to leave. Not a very good company to treat people like that. They literally brought our pizza out and told us we had to go. Sounds like your problem it took you 45 mins to cook our pizza not mine. Great pie! And nothing like the 1-star princesses (who never post pics) have stated. All the gals in there were friendly while busy as heck, getting creamed on a Saturday afternoon. Their crust is a tweener, meaning, not too thick or too thin, and had a nice chewy finish. Red sauce is excellent, nice amount of cheese, and toppings were just right. A slight knock on one of the combos we ordered was the toppings were all a little too much to the center, but I showed my gals a perfect--and unconventional--way to eat the slices. Extremely high prices for what it is. We paid $50 for a medium pizza and cheese bread and a drink. And the dough was RAW! And it isn't even that good. Not to mention the cheese bread was pre made and they just heated it up in the microwave.. It was a very long wait and not worth the price. And the staff definitely don't give very good customer service either. $50 for bad service and and raw pizza. Will not be going again. read more

Place has been fairly hit or miss. There's a woman who is almost always there I think she is the owner and whenever she's there by herself it's perfect. Sometimes when there's a bunch of people it's not as good. Like I got it last night and it was VERY greasy almost inedible. A few times the slices have tasted like they either weren't cooked or reheated right. Not sure what goes on here at night but if you go in right as the store opens you can get a giant fresh slice and drink for $7. read more

I understand the employee is stressed, I understand you might be short staffed but I Do Not understand why you have to be rude to me and my family. Also waiting 30 min for two slices of pizza? I don't care how good your food is if you have poor attitude and you don't ridicule your customer for cancelling part of the order to hopefully expedite two slices of pizza. You know we are less than 30 feet apart... we can listen to you being unprofessional. This is a great New York slice! We had the lunch special with a slice bigger than my head. It was delicious. They had a nice beer selection too. I had a Cold Smoke for $2.50, very cheap for a pint. We walked in at 7:33 on a Friday night and we were turned away. The food here is good, but this experience will keep me away for a while. We drove from across town this evening and were turned away at the counter. If we'd walked in the door just three minutes earlier, we would've been welcome to sit and enjoy dinner with the other people already sitting with their dinners. Even when the lady at the cash register pleaded with her manager to let us stay, the manager wouldn't allow it. Just to be clear, the restaurant was still open. They would've happily taken our money and let us sit inside until the pizza was ready. Then they would've pushed our family outside into the 36° cold to actually eat it. I'm sure they've got very important reasons why they cared more about those three minutes than serving us and our kids. But that doesn't change the fact that tonight their priority was to watch us walk out into the cold rather than let us enjoy a family dinner in their dining room. read more

They changed the name it's the same owners. Pizza is still average and too high price for the quality. Pay $30 for a pizza and they still charge you for some ranch. I know the last name had some bad reviews on the owners attitude. I didn't see any bad attitudes. Just very average pizza. Gave it two visits before reviewing, but 2nd visit no better than the first. 1st visit we spent $50 on two 18-inch cheese pies, but when we got home (just the other side of the freeway), couldn't believe how undercooked and over-cheesed. 2nd visit, got an order of garlic bread sticks and two slices and the only thing edible was the cheese slice. First let me say the pizza was really good but the rest of our experience will insure we never go back. We walked in excited that this business was finally back up and open again. We stepped up to the counter to order our pizza and were met by an older teenager with a scowl on her face who acted like we were interrupting her and this was the last place on earth she wanted to be. She barely spoke to us and the scowl never left her face. The décor in the new place is dark gray, drab, cold and uninviting. It's very "industrial". The floor looks like it's in the middle of a construction project. Another teen delivered our pizza after a fairly long wait considering we were the only customers in the place and presented two flimsy paper plates, no forks for us to eat our pizza with. We find eating off paper plates unappealing at best but since we knew from past experience they claimed they had no place to wash dishes we brought our own plates and forks. Never once did any of the what I counted to be 2 owners and 4 or 5 teen/young adult workers come over to our table to inquire if our pizza was OK. Three of the young workers resembled the owners and one girl even called one owner mom. We assumed at least 3 of the 4 young workers were being forced to work in their parents pizza shop against their will. That was the vibe in the place. We put our pizza in a to-go box and waved a goodbye as several workers stood behind the counter in complete silence. Like I said, the pizza was good but nothing about the rest of our experience rates more than a -1 on a scale of 1 - 5. Oh, and did I mention there are several not so subtle political statement signs on the walls for decorations? Obviously this is a Republican leaning family which is none of my business but we don't expect it to be shoved in our face when we dine out either. The business isn't open on Sunday, a prime day to sell pizza especially during football season. I mentioned that when ordering and the girl all but hissed at me saying "we have to go to church". You could see her disgust at me for even suggesting Sunday being a day one might sell pizza. We came to support a once struggling and relocated business but this was our last experience with New York Pizza Department. Get your pizza to go if you like the pizza and forget about a pleasant dining experience. You won't get it here. We won't be back. read more
