This is one of my favorite pizza places. Ever. It even stands up to the great pizza I had back East. Great tasting crust, which so many places ignore. Love the sauce. And all the toppings are fresh and tasty. The place isn't much to look at because it is just a counter take out, but it is always fairly clean. Even during rush the pizza making area is kept reasonably tidy. Having worked that side of the counter, I know that can be hard to do. Everyone is always friendly when I come in too, no matter how busy they are. This is a local gem that should be supported heavily. I visited this place for the first time on Pi Day (3.14), which felt like the perfect day to try some pizza! My pregnant girlfriend and daughter were craving it, so I caved--and I'm glad I did. We recently moved to WA from LA and have been searching for a good pizza spot, and this place did not disappoint. I ordered online (because, come on, it's modern times), and while their online ordering system might be a bit tricky for those who aren't tech-savvy, I had no issues. I placed my order at 4:05 PM, and despite how busy they were, my food was ready in about 20-30 minutes--totally reasonable, especially on Pi Day! When I arrived, I was impressed by how efficiently the team was working. There were two or three chefs making pizzas non-stop, three drivers hustling to deliver orders, and a young man handling calls and keeping everything running smoothly. As someone who works in a fast-paced law firm, I recognize hard work when I see it, and this crew was on point! Now, the most important part--the food! We got buffalo wings, cheesy bread, and a large supreme pizza for about $65. Worth every penny. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and a hit with the whole family. Took a star off because the boneless wings are a little weak but everything else is great. Mozz sticks have a lot of cheese. The breadsticks are warm, soft, and delectable. Seasoned well too. Not too salty and not bland. We get the veggie pizza with pepperoni and it never disappoints! Pro tip: get the bottle of ranch vs the cups. A buck for the cups of 4 bucks for a whole bottle. Ordered a large bbq chicken pizza asked for no onions came with onions on it, also ordered a Stromboli, had very little toppings and was burnt. Underwhelming and overpriced but good flavors. We tried to call in our order but no one picked up, so we placed the order online for pick up. We got two 'medium' sized pizzas. One was pepperoni thick crust (which we paid extra for), and one was a custom thin crust. We paid over $50 for these two pizzas that were as small as personal sized ones. The thick crust pizza was on as thin of crust as the custom pizza, and it didn't have that much pepperoni on it. My husband was still hungry after eating his (and we are pretty small people!). Certainly not award winning pizza, but honestly, pretty darned good utility pie. Granted, we dined in their outside seating area they share with a local brewmaster joint, so I cannot whine like (some) others who have had issues with delivery. Hot, fresh, and gobs of glorious fromage thank you. One nice young gal was running the entire ops, and she sure did great. The kitchen area was very clean. UPDATE: After giving this place a another shot, it's absolutely evident how incompetent the owners are with training their teen employees. Every single visit here has been met with an issue: Brown lettuce, wrong orders, and today, an order that was called-in and not made for the specified time. I don't blame the employees because they are young, and this comes from training and management. But this a completely incompetent establishment that can't even get a pizza order correctly. This is some nice tasty pizza that the whole family enjoyed. Staff are nice and quick about getting us served. This has been a good place to meetup with multiple families. This place was recommended to us by several people, so we figured we would give it a try. The recommendations did not fail, the pizza was great. We stopped in, places out order, the guy who took our told us it would be about 15 minutes, sure enough, they were hot and ready right on time. We ordered a few small pizza's, so we could try some different types of pizza that we aren't accustomed to back home, and their loaded cheesy bread. We ordered a John's pizza, minus the green olives, an original combo, and a steak and potato, again, minus the green olives. High marks on all 3 pizzas, and the loaded cheesy bread is a must order. Ordered for delivery. Insanely expensive. a 12" pizza and sauce is around $13 and it goes up fast from there. Thick crust + mozzarella + 3 toppings on one and normal crust + mozzarella and 1 topping on half the pizza plus 10 bread sticks was $39. Quality is alright. A small step over bad national chain pizzas. Nothing special at all. Bread sticks were very plain and they forgot the sauce. Was going to order hot wings but those were stupidly expensive. River City Pizza is conveniently located next to a brewing and supply shop. You can place your order, walk over to the brewery, sit out on the brewery patio, and wait for River City Pizza to bring your order. This is a simple, yet genius concept and it makes me wonder why more restaurants and breweries don't collaborate more like this. Another nice thing is that River City Pizza cheaper than most pizza shops. Unfortunately, the pizza did not meet my high standards. I understand that my standards are high. When I was a child, a Domino's pizza was a great option for any birthday party. Now that I'm older, that kind of pizza is no longer worth it to me. If I'm going to eat unhealthy food, it better taste great. When I ate River City Pizza, the dough was reminiscent of Domino's style dough. Without mentioning anything to my wife, she said that same thing. It was light, white, and spongy. When their manager reached out for feedback I told them about it and they made it RIGHT by me and offered a generous credit to help with my next order.
