Got to the bathroom upstairs and...well...no one was there. That was odd. I went outside to see if the sprinklers were on and they were so, i turned them off. Problem solved. Went back to bed but the noise was still there. That noise you hear when showers, sprinklers, toilets, and anything else that has water through it, is on. It was getting louder. Went back into my bathroom only to see water filling up on the floor! Uh oh. Found the problem. Busted pipe under the floor. Turned off the main line and went to bed, hoping i could find a plumber the next day. Called a couple of plumbers and left messages. Bulldawg had voicemail and gave me the option of texting. I texted and left a message. Texted me right back. Asked me a couple of qualifying questions and said he'd be there at 2:00 that same day. Was right on time. Saw immediately what the problem was. Was professional. Was thorough. Was efficient and was fair. Also didn't mind my dogs in the house! (I think they are dog friendly plumbers!) I explained my situation and how my old water heater was draining my batteries after my solar system had charged them throughout the day. After discussing my options, we decided on a heat pump water heater. Ethan and Colton completed the installation, and everything turned out great. I've had the new water heater for over a month now, and I am able to stay on solar power and battery backup without switching back to PG&E. It completely resolved my issue.
