The project involved an enormous patio, gardens, irrigation, decking, stairs, granite steps, that circled a large house that ran up to to the house, down to a dock. The project involved much regrading of the terrain. It also involved paving with materials a long, rather steep shared driveway that was deeply rutted. We watched the project unfold over several days and were deeply impressed with the scope of the project. Wow. The workers were diligent and never stopped except for lunch. Their expertise came shining through on every aspect of the project. They used bobcats to remove big boulders. They had to cut into rocks in the existing landscape to make the terrain suitable for the patio that circled the house. It was fun to watch. All the while we looked at our tired patio and thought "hmmmmm". We asked our neighbor for an introduction to Tom. Such a nice man! Tom came over with one of his crew, and measured off our spaces, which ended up being a walkway, patio and driveway. It was pitched all wrong and they worked that out, showing their expertise. After seeing the quality of the workmanship next door, we were happy to accept Tom's bid. With the equipment already next door our patio and walkway were installed in a jiffy. It's beautiful. I've put a second story on a house, done a kitchen and a few bath renovations, gutted a small house, and done landscape jobs. Tom is the easiest, friendliest, professional I have ever worked with. If he doesn't answer the phone he calls back promptly. His crews can't be beat. There wasn't a hiccup in the project. I can't say enough about Landscapes by Tom and am pleased to whole heartedly recommend him for any job.

After a significant dwindling of fish due to leaks and issues we took action. We couldn't bare to remove it, and knew fixing the leaks would be only temporary and decided to make the significant investment in a full rebuild. We researched many providers and finally found American Waterscapes and couldn't be happier. Notably, there prices were exceptionally transparent on their website and while koi ponds are a major investment, their all in prices seemed far more reasonable than some of their competitors. Their portfolio of work was most aligned with our aesthetic as well. They also had space to fit us quickly in their schedule. What sealed the deal was however, the owner April's knowledge and passion for her craft and answering our endless questions. Her partner and team were all exceptional and professional as well. What most surprised us was how quick it all took. Aside from the initial excavation, April personally spearheaded it all, placing every rock on the spot to best compliment our space. While she warned lawns can of course get in a bit of tatters, we saw very few side affects. The grass that had compressed quickly grew right back up. She was amazing at finding the most beautiful fish based on requests and spend as much time as possible outside watching them and seeing their personalities quickly emerge. We had a few follow up questions she was quick to respond to. The season has escaped us so will hold off until Spring to take many more photos as the plants grow, but in the meantime, wanted to help others considering a Koi Pond, to certainly add American Waterscapes to their shortlist. It's the reason I insistently seek out local and independent businesses for my various tasks and projects. Often times, they provide higher quality results for more than fair prices. Naturally, all of the aforementioned traits are applicable to NH Handyman & Inspection Services. The job was simple enough. All I needed was a quick patch up job for the broken paint on my shower ceiling. So, I sent out inquiries to several businesses that served the southern NH area. Funny thing is...ya know how many replied back with an actual quote? One. Just one. The same one I ended up hiring for the repair, of course. So many other businesses wanna chat with you on the phone before actually quoting either a flat rate or, at the very least, an estimate. Almost like they're trying to sell you something. One other business eventually gave me a rate, but it was way too high for my taste. Now, NH Handyman charges a flat rate between $225 and $450; though, it's unclear if that applies to every job or if that's just his hourly rate. In any case, he was clearly the most affordable choice for me. Besides, I'd rather give my money to my home state whenever possible. Here's another convenience this Handyman provides: he'll send you a link to book an appointment online. There's also one available via his website. Convenient AND inexpensive. That's what's up! I find it hard to believe no one ever took the time to review this business before me. Ah, well. At least I get the honor of being dubbed the "First to Review" badge. Seriously though, I couldn't recommend a better alternative if I tried. Give this one a try. Just send him photos of what you want done and he'll usually send you an accurate quote within minutes. And with that, I'm giving NH Handyman & Inspection Services 5 shower ceilings spackled in paint perfection out of 5.

There was so many issues with the work Mike did I brought him to small claims court and won a judgment of $7,300.00 but that doesn't even begin to cover the cost to redo his amateurish and unlicensed work and thats if we even ever get paid.We found out through court records Mike has been sued 9 times over the last 10 years and he lost all but one law suit.He has been arrested for failure to pay and is constantly being brought back to court by others he owes money to just as we will have to do.While doing our job Mike said he couldnt come in a couple days because he didnt feel well and come to find out he was actually in court those days,its all public record.Mikes son works with him and again through court records we found out his son is a felon for more than one reason but the one that I found most concerning was for multiple drug charges and this is a kid that was going in and out of my bedroom. Mike and Darlene are con artists that need to be shut down. They are extremely rude, filthy unprofessional people. We read the revies and thought he would do a good job based on them but come to find out a lot of the positive reviews they have are from friends and family and the negative ones they get dont stay up long because Darlene being the master manipulator she is somehow gets them removed.Do yourself a favor and Check out Mike Troila and his family through the N.H. court records and save yourself time money and aggravation ,I sure wish I did prior to hiring him he turned my life upside down and now I will have to struggle to try to get my judgment from him for what I assume will be years to come based on the fact I havent seen a dime and apparently he isnt paying all the other people he owes either. I cant stress the fact enough this is all public record ,take the time and know who your hiring before you make a life changing mistake

From cabinets, counters and appliances, we renovated just about everything we could see. The floor was question for us at the start. The tiles were neutral and not in terrible shape. But there were several chipped tiles, a few broken ones, and a few that needed to be replaced because of exposed flooring in the new layout. Our grout was also broken in some spots. I did, however, have a box of 16 original tiles that the previous installer left 15 years ago. The cost to remove a tile floor is as much, if not more, than to have new tile installed fresh. We talked to a few people about our options and we got many referrals to Hard Surface Solutions. I talked to him in he phone a bit about our project and he came over a few days later. He gave me a price and showed me pictures of his previous project. The price was very reasonable. The pictures, before and after, were very impressive. So we hired him and he agreed to start about 3 week later. First he cleaned my tiles with some high pressure steam clean machine. He cleaned the tiles like they were out of the box. In fact I could not believe when I saw the first few tiles. They made my existing tiles look so dingy. After that he worked on the tiles. He replaced several with the box I gave him. Then he fixed some cracks and chips on tiles that were still my existing floor. After that he worked on our grout. He changed our dark, discolored gray grout and make it dull white like my wife had requested. The grout came out perfect and it is very consistent along the entire floor. The whole floor looks new. It took 2 days. He finished the grout with some epoxy that is water proof, easy to clean and lasts for many years. I have the floor for 6 months now so I can not comment about the longevity, but my 15 year old, beaten floor looks new again and it is the perfect complement to my new kitchen
