I've driven by Home Comfort hundreds of times. Nice showroom and very nice stuff. When I talked to the flooring guy, he showed me the LVF samples. It seems that there's only one company they represent for this flooring. I asked him to ballpark a 1,200 Ft2 install and he said that they would come out and measure for an accurate estimate. Although this is true, I suppose, I wonder how he thought that answered my question? Deception didn't sell well with me, so off I went. I went to a place that was open, up-front informational, and they answered every question I asked - both before and after they came out to measure. I am very happy with the floor I got. Good luck with these guys at Home Comfort. They'll screw around with you if you're a bona fide customer ready to buy.

You did…read morenot fix the sloppy paint job nor the too tall glass fixtures in the kitchen, nor the badly hung lights in our Great Room. You did refund the one fixture in our kitchen, which was supposed to be hung with eight feet of chain but was installed at the very apex of a vaulted ceiling, but it took over a year of phone calls and emails for you to do so. You also never delivered the $600 worth of merchandise to us. My wife had to drive over and pick it up herself weeks after making the purchase. In your email response to my initial review, you wrote: "I can't help but wonder if this review was left as a retaliatory measure for something that I may have unknowingly done to cause either of you discomfort." You have apparently decided to consider a review based on poor service performance as "retaliation." We had been so happy with our interactions with the staff 11 years go that helped us decorate a lovely lakefront property. We recommended your store and your design services to several of our friends. But that was then. We will advise our friends these days to give their business to other more reputable businesses around the lake.

While the prices at Home Depot and Lowes were much better, I decided that it would be worth it to have a local company in case of problems or the need for future service. What a mistake. The prices were high to begin with and then they tried to screw me by hitting me for all the extra charges that were part of the original deal. For example, they didn't know they were going to need adhesive for tile? The attitude was terrible, they were extremely difficult to work with. It took weeks to get them to put estimates together because everyone has reduced hours, supposedly because of the economy. I used them for wood flooring and tile work. I wouldn't use them if they were the last business on earth. I never bother to write reviews but i couldn't let someone else endure this if it could be avoided. Avoid these people at all cost. Lowes in Gilford is very friendly, has good prices, provides estimates promptly and shows up exactly when they say they will. I am in my fifties and have owned and renovated several homes and this is literally the single worst experience with a small business I have ever had.

Told her how the last person I went with screwed me over and stole my money and after that I could not get a word in edgewise. I hadn't even told her the full story of what happened and she kept telling me what I should have done, designs that person owes me, how I should get back in touch with that person so that they could give me the partial work they did so I could give it to her, etc. I'm an attorney so I obviously know what I was supposed to do in that situation and what that person owes me. And honestly, none of that is her business but I was conveying what happened to me so she knew what situation I was in and that I needed some reliable. However, she missed that point completely and bogarted the conversation. When I was allowed to speak and partially state what work I wanted done, I was never allowed to get my full idea out before she cut me off and told me what was and wasn't possible and what I should be doing instead. I was glad when the phone call was done and agreed for her to send me a quote via email, which I honestly didn't even open. If that how she was on the very first phone call, I knew the rest of the process would be a nightmare. Definitely not worth it. Found someone else on Thumbtack and couldn't be happier.

I used this company for my kitchen design. The final product was not worth the price I paid for…read moredesign, cupboards and counters. Lisa's designs did not reveal flaws that developed during installation. We experienced mis measurements that resulted in a 5 week delay. Hardware was ordered incorrectly which required me to find it myself on Amazon in order to keep the carpenter on schedule (the designer was on vacation for the second time during my install). One cabinet was delivered with the wrong measurement and instead of immediately fixing it, the designer suggested to the carpenter to just use a filler which would have created a less than appealing look. My custom designed coffee station sits lower than the rest of the counter (which was not reflected in the design) and required a separate piece of Cambria which honestly ruins the flow of the kitchen and looks awkward and cheap. Two of the cupboards had paint that easily chipped and the designer ignored this flaw not contacting candlelight for me. In conclusion, I cane to the realization that my 50k kitchen was on the bottom of the priority list because I chose to use my own contractors and didn't use the ones suggested by 3W- with double the price tag. I would never use this company again. I felt rushed to decide, unimportant to the designer, and realized my kitchen design on paper had flaws that a designer should have fixed since this was her profession. Hopefully her vacations and house flips she was doing herself were worth it.

So sorry that she went on to another company to design exclusively. I have since used Lisa at 3 Design for assistance in the accessories for my master bath and my guest bedroom. Since she had to work around what was already in the rooms and she had to work with my very detailed desires she too was fantastic and very patient. I found that I needed help to expose me to new and different ideas and ways to decorate so I definitely am a fan and will use 3W Design again.

I shopped around in Portsmouth and Exeter for custom window curtains and J Renee was definitely the least expensive. I was very impressed with the amount of time and patience they has as I really wasn't sure what I wanted. Their store has 100's of samples to choose from. They also have all kinds of unique furniture and knick knacks that you never see in a retail store. I fell in love with some stools and googled them to do some research. They sell the stools for less than half of what they would cost elsewhere. In the end, I was beyond satisfied with the custom job they did for me and I feel that if there was ever an issue they'd stand by their work.

I called the office and they offered to waive the delivery fee, as long as I went up to the gravel pit and picked out the material that was supposed to be delivered. They were also going to charge full price on the new materials and no credit towards the dirt pile besides the delivery fee. Maybe i was wrong by saying 3/4 inch crushed stone CLEAN. Big let down...
