I wasn't going to write a review but it's been a week and you can't even tell I had a pedicure so I just need to share. I went in for just a pedicure. It started fine but then the guy showed me a piece of my nail he cut off, almost like there was something wrong with it. He barely trimmed my cuticles and my nails aren't even filed straight. He truly did the bare minimum. Usually when I get a pedicure I sit in the chair until my nails are dry. This time, he opened up the chair right away so I would get up. There wasn't anyone waiting either and my toes got messed up as I was walking out... that wouldn't have happened if I was able to sit there a little longer. Overall, not a great experience. Went in this morning for a pedicure and gel mani. These are my gel nails after carrying in the groceries several hours later. The gel is still wet goo under the top layer and slides right off. I haven't treated myself in well over a year and this was not the result I was hoping for. I don't even think I'll go back and ask them to repair these. I'm really disappointed. read more

I couldn't have had a more pathetic experience... Cheap gel or cheap nail tech... My nails had several spots where gel was missing, didn't cut cuticle, asked for a third coat of polish because I could see where this was going.. Buyer beware ... Do yourself a favor and run!!!! I have come here several times with a subpar experience, and always give them another chance. The last time I was here, this older lady did my nails and while painting my toes, she kept wiping the sides of my toes with her own fingernail, instead of using an acetone dipped brush. I got an infection and had to get it drained at an urgent care. Came back again today because I was in a rush, and this was the closest place to my house. I always get stuck with this older lady doing my nails, and she is very rough with her tools and drill/ file, and today she made my cuticle bleed. I left mid way because it was such a frustrating experience. The whole manicure was painful, with her nails stabbing me while holding my hand. I spent more than $70 on a basic pedicure and manicure here today. Not coming back again. read more

Excellent place. I'm from Arkansas, and needed my nails done while visiting three weeks in Bakersfield. The man that did my nails was great at conversation and did a good job with my nails. I thought he did great near the cuticles! My last guy stayed away from my cuticles, I guess because he didn't want to hurt me, but I like the color close to the cuticle! I was impressed. He even painted the top of my nail. It's nice to know a place I can go to here and trust it will be a good job! He was able to see me in a few minutes of being a walk-in. Went on a Saturday evening, waited about 5 minutes then was seated for my pedi. Pedicure was great, no complaints. However the mani with gel could've been a lot greater. Not only was the nail art not achieved (which she did not charge me for because it was very obvious it was a fail) they are now lifting not even a week later. I will not be returning for a manicure nor will I be recommending them. She said if it chipped to go back to get it fixed for free. I've given this business a fair chance I have there 4 times for pedicures & all the visit have been disappointing toe nails cut uneven, shaped oddly, this last time was the last straw forme, I got an infection on my toe from a cut they did to me while rushing to remove cuticles. Last time coming here the first time was awesome got my nails done by the younger women working there she is quick and her coffin shape nails are awesome but she's the only one who actually does a good job .On the other hand this is the second time they over charge me for nails that look like this transparent and they cut me all around. I have been several times for gel pedicures, and it's hit or miss as to the outcome. I visited a week ago and had a gel mani and gel pedi. Both services were done at the same time. The pedicure was ok, however, I paid for one of the more expensive pedis and she didn't even massage my feet, she barely massaged my legs. As for the gel manicure, it started peeling and lifting after 4 days, not to mention bubbles. I paid extra to have a French tip polish. I'm extremely dissatisfied with the overall service I received especially for what I was charged. I have tried to patronize this salon as it is in my neighborhood, but unfortunately I'm going to go elsewhere in the future. read more

The worst gel manicure I received in 20 year! The lady that was working on my nails was rough hurt as she removed the cuticles. She alhad to go back 3 days later as the nails bubbled and had to redo 3 nails. I noticed a black area after a week and it was a bruise under my nail!!!! read more

However I had a older lady do my hands & let me just say I have tiny hands. She was in a rush & was so aggressive! She messed up my thumb so bad that it's throbbing. Horrible painful experience. My spa pedicure ended up with damage and pain to my toe. She trimmed my toenail on the side and down into the quick. I screamed from pain. Hopefully I will not be getting an infection. I will never return. It was the older lady I never knew her name. One star is one star too many! read more

And then I come in after making an appointment; and sure enough, I get someone who's rushing the work. Came here on a Saturday without an appointment and while there was a little bit of a wait, the comfy seats outside in the shade helped the passing time. They were quick to get me in a chair where I soaked my feet in warm water. The salon is elegant, very clean, and the aroma inside is lovely; not that harsh chemical smell you often get a whiff of. They have a lot of colors to choose from and though the pricing is a little higher for a gel pedi than other places, I was quick to learn that is because the add-ones you usually see are included in the basic package (heal/callus scrub, massage, etc). Love love love that they put white down as a base coat! Makes the color you select truly pop and take to its true hue. They are precise and cater to their customers; even if that means two workers (hands and feet) working at the same time on one person. I will be back! read more

Recently opened in a brand new building so everything is beautiful, clean and bright. My daughter and I booked a tandem appointment for pedicures, we were greeted immediately and asked to sign in. I watched them wiping down all the pedicure chair surfaces before they seated us. I also noted that they opened sealed, sterilized utensils and used brand new files. Cleanliness is important at a nail salon and they were meticulous about cleanliness standards. The young lady doing my pedicure was pleasant and efficient. They offered us each a bottle of cold water and were pleasant, and professional throughout. My daughter and I each had the classic pedicure and we were in and out of there in under an hour. Very overpriced and rude customer service. Unless you are Caucasian they will make you pay before finishing the service. Never felt more uncomfortable in a space before. It was very odd to see everyone was paying after finishing their mani/pedi and I was the ONLY ONE charged before my service could be finished. I was looking for new nail places that were reasonably priced and had great service. I was able to make an appointment same day, when I arrived I was checked in and told to select a gel polish. I was helped right away. Nothing is more frustrating than making an appointment and waiting for 30-60 min, I really appreciated this! The young lady that did my nails was very precise and gentle, I didn't walk out with a bunch of scrapes around my cuticles or nails. This will be my new go to spot! read more

Meh. Sloppy pedicure and definitely felt rushed. If you couldn't give your customers attention to detail, don't allow them to make an appointment at the end of the day & close earlier. Left a fuzz on my toe polish which left a mark. Also, we made a reservation for 3 people... to be done at the same time. Not two first and another last. My sister and I stopped at this place on our way home from Bakersfield. The place is super clean and new and the people are very nice. I got the river oaks pedi and it was so awesome. Adam was my tech and he did everything right. The owner came around with a trays of waters and sodas and was very sweet. Earlier today I scheduled an appointment with Katie for a pedicure at 6:00pm. From the moment I walked in I felt as though something was off, as I was not greeted by the gal at the front desk. Upon returning from the ladies room someone directed me to sit at a chair who turned out to be Katie. Katie handed me a menu-like chart and asked me if the water temperature was okay. Katie then asked me if I wanted my toenails trimmed and that was it!! Katie trimmed each nail once, passed the file just once, then set a timer. Once Katie set the timer, she gingerly rubbed lotion on my legs while she watched tv. To say that I was unhappy, disappointed, and utterly shocked by the lack of service I was provided would be an understatement. Granted I chose the $29 pedicure I expected at least more than a 20 minute pedicure. Perhaps my expectations were too high, but I have never in my life experienced such a horrible pedicure. I could've done the same at home for basically nothing, which by the way I took my own nail polish. If you do anything for yourself, please practice enough self-care to know that this establishment is nothing short of a rip-off!! DO NOT SPEND YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY AT THIS PLACE, BECAUSE I CAN ASSURE YOU THAT YOU WILL REGRET IT AND WILL NEVER WANT TO RETURN!! read more
