I've shopped at this location a few times and I prefer it over the one that's in the Valley. I love that they have a wide selection of items, and more often they have the baby formula brand that I could not find anywhere else. They also have a good selection of small furniture that are durable and do not easily fall apart. I've shopped online and in store at this location a few times. They have always had my basic necessities to include the groceries available when shopping in store or online. My deliveries have been timely. The shopper/driver do communicate when they are about to shop, when they have completed the shopping and when they are about to arrive at your residence. A photo of the delivery would reflect as proof of the delivery. I have not had any issues with Target. All employees have been nice and helpful. read more

BEWARE OF THE INCOMPETENCE.... I arrived in town from Los Angeles for a weekend retreat at Near Lake... which is an hour away from this Target. I stopped in to pick up some items I forgot then made my way to the Lake House. I wanted a stick of gums, opened the bag and my purchases were not in the bag. My receipt was, along with all this "stuff" that is absolutely useless to me. It appears the cashier had suspended some prior purchase, left the bag at the end of her register, and dropped my receipt into this bag and handed it to me???? OK.. so mistakes can happen and while this is really inconvenient for me as I'm an hour away... I tried calling the store 10 times. Selecting option 2 and then option 2 again to speak to "Guest Services" or should I say "DIS-SERVICES" as then NEVER answered any of the 10 calls that rang 30 times each! So what to do? I guess I throw this "crap" away as I'm not flying back to Los Angeles with it.. and I'm out $30 bucks. I read some of the other "poor" reviews and had to laugh because they are so spot on... the level of incompetence is staggering, probably why they don't answer the phone. Im from Seattle and was horrified when I went to this Spokane target. The merchandise (women's clothing especially) was scattered everywhere. So disorganized. I've never seen a Target look like this. I couldn't find any item or size that I needed - even the two-piece items were split separately across their designated department. It looked like there were no employees who took any ownership to help organize. Either that, or the entire storage room vomited boxes of merchandise onto random shelves throughout each department. When the lady at the register asked if I found what I needed I politely said no I couldn't find anything because of how disorganized it was. She said nothing and prompted me to run my credit card. read more

Just finished shopping this store after an appointment on the S. Hill. Usually shop the North side Target. This store is an absolute dump. Junk all over the floor, merchandise in electronics, grocery and toys all over with random crap thrown on shelves. Bathroom needs a deep cleaning and some paint. My kid wanted to buy a Dogman book but there was stock on carts blocking the entire aisle. This store needs a new leadership team. read more

I have been to this Target twice since I moved to the south hill. The first, I bought a Brita water container that when I took the plastic wrap off, crumbled in my hands because the plastic was shattered in multiple places. When I went in to exchange it, the girl had the audacity to ask if I broke it when I had all of the plastic wrapping and shards in a bag for them to see that it was unused, but broken at time of purchase. Then, the second time, to exchange my Brita water container for a new one, I bought a 5 shelf book case that once I opened, only had 3 of 5 shelve, 3 of the 4 arms, and no screws or instruction manual which I now need to return. It's not lite in weight either so rewrapping in the box and loading and unloading is another issue. I also bought 2 sets of outdoor lights. One box has 3 shattered bulbs and the other box just doesn't turn on after attempting multiple outlets. I will not be shopping here again. It's not worth the price for the constant broken items they sell at above market price. read more

This store seems to have staffing issues-extremely long lines and wait times at all times of day. I've also done drive up at this location and have had to wait over 20 minutes to get my items. Not the place to go when you're in a rush. read more

The last three times I have been to Target I see customers walking out with carts loaded up with things they have not paid for and no one cares. Everyone that shops there pays for the products that these people take. I am not blaming the people that work there, I think it the responsibility of the corporation to deal with this issue. Wanted help with a computer. The guy helping me acted like he could care less. He forgot to give me a piece to the computer so I called to inform him. It's a Target store, so basic expectations are met. They have a great selection of toys and games, personal care products, cards, home office / furnishings and so on. They always have a solid selection of seasonal decor, and there's a neat little section of cheap novelty items near the entrance. Free fruit for kids is available at the Cafe, sitting out in baskets, so be sure to take advantage. My one complaint is that employees here seem rather gruff and moody as a rule. read more

This particular target has it all! I appreciate the location and proximity to other stores in the same shopping center (makes it more of a one stop shopping experience). This place has really upped their game since opening and are sticking a ton more inventory than the north Spokane counterpart. read more

This is an OK target, but I waited about 5 minutes at the Starbucks while there was 1 other customer talking to the barista the entire time. I made eye contact with the Starbucks employee but he did not acknowledge me at all. I work in customer service so I know if I pulled this stuff I would get in trouble. Extremely rude. read more

Definitely prefer this target over the rest in Spokane, always seems to be most organized! In a good area too, Slick Rock Tanning, Mod Pizza, and more in the same parking lot which is convenient. read more

It's nice to have a Target within 10 minutes of the house . . . most of the prices are similar to Walmart's (without the feeling dirty after walking thru WallyWorld) and they have had sales on a lot of what I've needed settling up my new place. They have a better food section than I am used to at Target and nearly everything else that I need. Every employee that I have dealt with has been very friendly and helpful and they seem to know where to find everything despite the size of the place. read more

I love this Target. I've been going regularly since it opened and I've never run into any problems. The staff have always been kind and respectful, I always get a great coffee at Starbucks, I enjoy the rotating cloths/fashions and the clearance end caps are really fun. (I got some amazing stuff when Hunter partnered with Target for that limited time) If you smile and are patient and polite with retail workers, they tend to respond in kind. read more

Bathroom was worse than Walmart!!!! Children running around the store the whole time. Employees messing around in the electronics section. Most of the isles were a mess. Only one friendly employee. Checker names Juronda was impatient, wouldn't give us a minute to check the Cartwheel app, and about as intelligent as a paper bag. read more

I'm reviewing this particular target not target in general. Honestly target in general has no interest for me and never has since I never much cared for the generic choices... However this target opened a couple blocks from me and I go here many times a week and it's grown on me and I feel that people have only been reviewing angry. Most of the time I have good experiences. Lines are rarely long. People in electronics are helpful in particular. Customer service is quick and the returns o have done are fast and easy even if I lose my receipt. Like everywhere in this neighborhood it doesn't really have a big box store feel but more like a neighborhood place. I do have issue with the lack of phone and Internet service in store especially since the Internet is needed for many promotions or cartwheel. Their wifi never ever works properly on my phone. The one on the north side it does so it's the store not my phone. Finally, I do not like the grocery selection it's good only for very very general needs and snacks. If you need anything fresh go elsewhere. Their produce is often old and tasteless. What there is of it. And the meat is a shade of bright red not found in nature Nd tastes awful. Go elsewhere for anything other than general dry and canned goods. And who cares if it smells like coffee.. Sheesh. read more

Customer service at the Management level is one of the worst I have ever experienced. General/District Managers have no concern for operations of the stores they oversee. Target Tech staff are inexperienced and untrained, I would not recommend anyone buying, or seeking advice, from them. read more

I shop here probably 3 times a week on good weeks so have seen all phases of this store. Days where I absolutely hate it, and days where I love it. Overall, I have never had a problem with customer service like some others mentioned. Employees have always been friendly and around when I need help. The negatives though, is they do have a LOT of wrongly labeled items (or carelessness about where they stock items) causing a lot of prices to ring up wrong, I have bought broken items from here before (and not noticed til I was home), and doing any kind of a refund, is just a hassle. The refund lines are always long and seem to take forever (especially at night). Also the review on no phone service is spot on, it's not super important to me as I live near by and come here often enough I don't do huge trips, but it is a little annoying to be on the phone and randomly get disconnected 20 steps into the store and it can make it a pain if you need an opinion about a purchase or have a question and need to contact your family. However, its convenient. It's better and closer than going to Walmart. And it's Target. They always have way too much good stuff. So I will keep returning several times a week and giving them all my money. read more

I visited Target beginning of December, I finished up my Christmas shopping and was standing in line watching Justin direct shoppers and letting them know which line to jump into. There was an older gentleman approaching the cash register area and Justin asked, "are you ready?" speaking to the woman behind him. The gentleman Answered No, as he was empty handed. I loved this Target from the moment I pulled into the parking lot. It's huge but not overwhelming, and very modern-looking. The parking seemed well laid out. The store was well-stocked, and had less of a cramped feeling than any of our other Targets. I thought I was in heaven. Unfortunately, I went into the store while waiting for a call from my student adviser at my university. It never even crossed my mind that I'd have a problem with service in such a new building. I was in the shoe section, only about halfway back into the store, and I lost the call. I ended up having to practically stand by the front door just to have service. I don't have some cut-rate carrier; I use AT&T. In certain parts of the store, I had no service whatsoever. While they do have in-store wifi that doesn't help if you're waiting on an important call or are a military spouse who relies heavily on their phone for staying in touch with their spouse while they're away. Or both. I will probably still shop at this Target, but I will do so knowing that I'm going to be inconvenienced and having to plan accordingly. If they could somehow ensure reliable service in the store, I'd give them 5 stars. read more

The south hill Spokane Target is a great place to shop. All of the employees are friendly and offer to stop and make sure you don't have any questions or ask if you need help finding something. From the friendly baristas to the cashiers to the floor staff, everyone is fantastic and makes you feel good about spending your money there. read more

Since buying food here, which I have never done since the first two times, I've had additional poor experiences at this store. On one occasion I informed the checker that I did not need a bag for the one very small item I was buying. She placed it a plastic bag anyway and got huffy when I told I had asked that I not be given a bag. Instead of just giving me the item, she made a scene and crumpled the bag up and tossed it in the trash. More recently, I needed bubble wrap in a hurry as I had a client waiting for an item. I searched the Target site which indicated they had four different options available at this store; they had one, and only two of that item on the shelves. I am finished with this store! read more

Came here last night for a quick grocery run while i headed home. I love Target and always have. Since moving here back in August this is the only Target i have came to and have heard good things about ( mostly because i believe it is a new location). around 5pm it was not busy at all so i was quick to get what i needed and also take a look at their home decor section and i like the overall organization and layout of the store. It is definitely bigger than the Target we had in Wenatchee and has more stocked options. The staff is always friendly and like to strike up a casual conversation while your checking out your items. read more

I love Target... Just not this one. We just moved to Spokane and I was excited when I found out there was a Target near by. The employees are nice and helpful, however, I've had to return online items twice and both times they only have 1 person working the customer service counter. Plus, that cashier also takes purchases of 10 or less items, and there is always a line. I'm surprised they don't have 2 people working that counter. There is another register there. Another problem I have with this Target, for some reason the online printable coupons aren't "scannable" here. I have been printing online coupons and redeeming them for years at Target in Cali, but for some reason have not been able to do so here. Oh, and they hardly ever have the diapers I normally buy in stock (The Honest Company Diapers in Size 3). Not sure how close another Target is to me, but I'll have to find out. read more
