I took my children here just for fun on a family trip. I will say, the selection of stores is huge. There's a massive variety of clothing, comic book, games, body piercings, anything you really need really. Even a fun center with trampolines for children. It was neat and clean. Any staff members I talked to were nice and polite. Only complaints I have were I wish they had children's strollers that fit car seats. Also, the food court was a very limited selection. I enjoyed how there were photo booths all around. Family friendly mall with Santa photos going on during Christmas season. As for the bathrooms...disgusting. Horrendous smell. Avoid the mall restrooms at all costs and use the ones in stores instead. Easy to find parking and close to the bus stops. No dresses. We went to look for prom dresses, and there was nothing. Only place worth looking at was Jc penny's. Julias boutique has very pretty dresses, but unless you want to pay a $100 dollar deposit to TRY ON dresses + $150-$700 for a dress + alterations added onto the dress price, don't go. It is not worth it and you cant even touch the dresses. They are in a blocked of area that you can only look at. read more

Where have all the stores gone? So, there are by far more mall walkers than mall stores here. Sad. At one time, when the Canadian dollar was exceptionally strong, there were busloads of people here from the North, but with the reverse of that and online shopping, this mall has been practically stripped bare. There is a huge Body Shop, though, and I believe it is the only one in the city. There's also a Barnes of Noble still standing here. A Sears, but that might not be for long. Although I ventured in to see what they had, it was basically an appliance store. There's a couple of coffee shops with some mall walkers taking a break. Thomas Hammer is upstairs with limited seating. A trampoline store--now that's entertainment. A Victoria Secret's store (aren't they experiencing hard times, too?). Now why did I come in here? Oh yea. I ordered something online from Macy's and wanted to avoid the shipping costs, so had it shipped to the store directly. No curbside pick-up, though. Stopped by north town and a lot of places were empty and not as many people but cause a lot of shops closed down in there. We stopped and ate lunch At Panda Express and my sister and nephew went to the little aquarium and we went to a coffee shop for an Italian soda but the mall was not too packed at all. read more

I've been going to North Town Mall since I was 10 or so when our family would visit Spokane on family vacations. I've always thought the mall was pretty nice. Stores have changed and over the years as malls have become more and more extreme with impressive offerings I suppose this one seems a little dram. But it will always be special to me. What has happened to this mall?!! We took my son to walk around, bathrooms were nasty!! There was a bunch of trash outside the entrance. The kids playground is falling apart. There's mice running around the the Blue Aquarium.. I definitely recommend going to the Valley Mall. Junktown is not a place to take the kids. read more

Wonderful to see good changes being made at Northtown Mall. Excited for the new Buffalo Wild Wings to open June 22nd. Noticed better brand stores and cleaner look and feel throughout the mall. Heightened security added to a more comfortable experience. Many fun activities, as we enjoyed a train ride, electric animal ride (so cool), updated race car strollers, massage chairs and more. Management should publicize with social media the changes, as the crowds were surprising very light. So we're taking advantage of it. Perfect spot to hang out during these hot days read more

I haven't walked/shopped in a mall in forever, just to go catch a movie ! I decided to go check it out and it has changed in the last 10 years maybe a new store or kiosk here and there, but nothing really special. I mean even the food court was the exact same, tables, chairs... I do love the fact that they have the stores like Vans, Marshalls, H&M, but they could definitely add a few more and better alternatives, but that's just my two sense. Bathrooms for sure need better up keeping that's for sure like maybe every 30 minutes. I'm kind of shocked at how dirty the women bathroom is and I'm not speaking of the upkeep or missing this or that, but the "people" who go into these bathrooms and how disgusting they are.. not flushing, toilet paper all on the floor, I could go on. I don't even want to imagine what those people's bathrooms at home look like.... *shivers* read more

Review is for bringing kids here. There is a (max 4 hr) daycare center, Blue Zoo aquarium, train, carousel, riding electric animals, and a trampoline park. We haven't even investigated the little library or mall play area yet. Incredible place. read more

I've just used the Macy's, Mac store and restaurants in this mall but I've been plenty of times. The Mac store is great with super helpful staff. The Macy's is really nice with a fantastic selection. We went looking for work out clothes and some casual button down shirts for my husband and found everything we needed. The cashier was super helpful as well and very friendly. I really enjoyed all the staff and had an easy and efficient time. I prefer other restaurants but that's not on the mall itself. read more

This is an okay mall. They have a lot of stores and for the most part it is pretty clean. Taking off two stars because it is pretty confusing to locate stores in the mall and it seems pretty outdated. There's a carousel and trampoline thing near the bubble tea place in the mall and it's honestly so annoying. Maybe fun for kids, but not for people running errands at the mall read more

I was at Northtown Mall today, and my first stop was at URBAN BLENDS Coffee House. The coffee was delicous. There were a lot of customers in there. The waitress waited on everybody as soon as possible. It's on the second floor. You can get anything from Italion soda or about any coffee you'd like. This mall is slowly dying. It has lots of vacant spots, and more stores and restaurants keep closing. No more Arbys, Ivars, or Sbarro. The Barnes and Noble, Sears, and Thomas Hammer coffee stores are nice, and Earthbound is great little store, but there isn't much else there I go to. If you do have kids, they do have a children drop and play center that is convenient. This mall is the most ghetto of the three malls, which can be entertaining if you are into people watching. Location and the fact that you can walk legit laps around the mall as exercise are the top attractions here. I would strongly recommend visiting a different mall if you want to do some serious shopping. read more

This mall is perfect if you are a teenage girl. If you are any other age then go downtown to River Park Square. But, I am also excited to see what new stores they bring after the renovation, but for now, I don't even bother going to Northtown Mall. For every open store there is a vacant store. read more

The recent renovations have really helped this mall come into its own. I appreciate the wide array of parking available (parking garages and big lots on every side), and the central location of the food court means that it's easy to grab a meal. The north side of the mall is now stacked with a Bonefish and BWW, but don't overlook the smaller stores with a lot of great items to sell. A great one-stop shopping experience! The only Body Shop in Spokane is in this mall, and then you have the usual victims: Macy's, Victoria's Secret, Barnes and Noble, and JCPenneys. No Starbucks in the mall, but there is one across the street. At one time Nordstroms Rack was here but that moved out to the Valley. Not my favorite mall, but it looks as if there is an expansion or renovation going on. Stay tuned! read more

This would be your average run of the mill small town mall, with a traveling train inside. (Wasn't sure if it was for the kids, or our senior citizens) Not a whole lot besides the theater, randomly sprinkled food vendors amongst clothing stores and the whole odd ball framing shop next to your Body Shop. Decent mall situated on Division Street. Offers you more food options and stores than the one at Riverfront. It does feel like a clean version of a modern ghost town. Where did the throngs of people go? I understand it feels lonelier than some of those highway outlets near the Canadian border in both Canada and Washington State. Walking in the gleaming hallways, I breathe an air of disappointment of what I see is the shell of a once glorious mall. Ladies in charge of the chocolate beverages stand near the western entrance were kind enough to chat briefly with me and let me try some of their nougat samples. Better than See's candies which are overly sweet for my tooth! I can see with my two pairs of eyes that the Spokane community could actually house a new day care or a school here (no pun intended). Ghetto blocks and intersections in the city would scare me from attending school anywhere there. The boba at the tea shop is not half as good as the ones you find in Seattle or in California. Some artificial powder mixed with some highly concentrated fructose syrup processed with additives, big deal. The boba pearls were the only redeeming factor in that whatsoever. I went to the nearby Barnes N Noble to read a book to kill some time. That was a good time I believe. One of the only Macy's exists in the walls of this mall and the Kohl's here is the last soft skin of life here too. Visibly, this place could amp it up an interval. If I return, I would likely take a look at the steakhouse or the Pan Asian restaurant located outside. Catch y'all next time. read more

Cellaxs has terrible service. We asked the man for an estimate and I had asked how much will you charge to check if phone is repairable? He answers nothing to check if it works nothing. We come back and he tried to charge us 155 plus another 30 dollars for checking if it works. Then One of the near by guys working comes and they start speaking in low voices In their language Thankfully I know their language. I'm not sure what this person's job description is. They had a nametag and a dress shirt and seemed to be close to Mexican or Spanish descent. While waiting for a store to open this morning, I took a picture of a business that had been defunct for months. An old friend has a similar surname to the business and we'd been making jokes about it for months now. I got interrogated about why I'd taken the picture and told the mall doesn't allow this. Now the thing to note, as I was leaving about an hour ago, I noticed people taking pictures in front of the aquarium--not on the inside, but standing by the wall outside of the aquarium. If my actions were impermissible, these people should've been scolded as I was. Secondly, I checked the outside doors for warnings or notifications of photography not being permitted inside the mall (which is just honestly strange, frankly: especially since I didn't make a commotion while doing so, kept to myself, clearly didn't cause a disruption, and didn't approach either mall employee who was near me, one of them went out of their way to approach me) and so ultimately what gives? If one set of photos is impermissible, the other should be. And secondly, who really cares if a business that's been defunct since at least March got photographed? There are other malls in Spokane. I'd gone to this one off and on for 5 years. I'm sure the other locations will be grateful for my money. read more

Ok this is totally a no-frills mall but I just loved it. It has everything you need, including Marshalls and Barnes and Noble. Some people might think it's weird to have these at a mall but I think it's super convenient and awesome! The Chili's is great. Just love it. read more

A seedy, dark mall in one of Spokane's seedier neighborhoods. Macy's is as fancy as it gets here, and many storefronts are empty. The basement arcade is downright scary. Good theater multiplex upstairs, however. Management, it's time to step up your game! read more

One of my favorite malls, it has a great selection of clothing and food. It also has activities for kids to do. They also have a comic book shop and a Barnes and noble, And A great movie theater, they also have a tattoo, and body piercing shops, and also a grate clips, almost anything you can think of they probably have it there. read more

Of the three major malls in the Greater Spokane area, my least favorite but that doesn't mean I don't go there. Owned by General Growth Properties. Anchored by Macy's, Sears, JC Penney's and Kohls, it contains most stores that are in an average mall. For the past couple years, it has been downsizing and part of the mall is empty. The clientele can sometimes be on the young side and eating options are ehh. Adequate for mall shopping and convenience if close, but there are more appealing malls in Spokane. read more

I frequent this mall a lot, since I live nearby. It's okay for what it is. Doesn't have a lot of good stores, I hope with the completion of the (imo, pointless) renovation there will also be some more shops opening up. I'd really like to see a Forever 21, H&M etc. Right now, the clothing selection is kind of limited, and the mall is mostly food. I usually just go to the Barnes & Noble. After Rasmussen Reptiles left, the appeal of the mall kind of went away for me. Still, it's a nice place to chill for an afternoon, when there aren't obnoxious, cussing, violent teens hanging out in the food court. read more

Northtown Mall is not the one-stop destination for shopping it was in its heyday. Many storefronts now stand vacant, and its gleaming halls echo uncannily as people walk through in search of that perfect item. That said, it still features several large stores, a movie theatre, a food court and plentiful parking. read more

I came to this mall to this for the first time 4 years ago and was and it just gets better. Really nice if you have kids. I love Villa that is the best Italian restaurant had The best pizza it's so delicious not so doughy just The right consistency. For Girls that are looking for Great place to shop they have a Rue 21 really big a great selection of clothes for all types including plus size there. Another store I loved they had that is Torrid they had wide selection of clothes I loved there plus size. It's a bit pricy but loved that they have sales but so worth every penny you spend. I look forward to coming for next vacation. read more

Malls are malls! Bull-o-nee!!!!!!! This one is a good one, and it takes some time to thoroughly shop here. One can do it quickly but if you are a conscientious shopper, it will take some time. The candy store on the second level has jaw breakers, which is my favorite candy. Three different sizes. Ummmmmm! It takes time to enjoy a jaw breaker just like it takes time to enjoy this mall! I really don't like this mall. It's not stroller friendly at all. It's difficult to find the elevators just in the hallways, and there is no visible secondary way to get to the food court on the second floor. Even Macy's, which has a second floor, has stairs to the second floor entrance of the mall. I'm strong enough to pull the stroller up, but what about a person in a wheelchair? Better signage, at least, would be extremely helpful for those of us with wheels, whether it's a stroller or a wheelchair. read more

This mall in north spokane is an average shopping mall. It is mostly filled with teenagers or homeless crack heads roaming the stores. Almost all the shops have cables connected to the clothing to prevent theft. I recommend going to the mall downtown or in Spokane valley. read more

Decent mall with two levels. A few shops to chose from, with most being on the bottom floor. Lots of renovating going on right now, and bummed the kids play area is gone during the construction, which is the main reason I come here. My daughter loves the slide. read more

JC Penneys-Northtown-Spokane, Washington I was shopping in JC Penneys and was asked if I would like to apply for a JC Penneys credit card so I did and was accepted. I applied because I needed a refrigerator and their appliance department had a pretty good sale. This is where the nightmare begins. I went through agony comparing the refrigerators features and purchase amounts. Then I asked a simple question that they could not answer and later literally after hours on the phone I could not get an answer to. My question was if I buy this refrigerator on my credit card using promotional financing how much will my payment be? Here is the problem. JC Penneys sends you a bill each month and tells you what your minimum payment due is. That's fine however your credit card does not come from JC Penneys it comes from an absolutely evil bank named Synchrony Bank/JCP located in Orlando, Florida. If you call Synchrony Bank/JCP and ask them how much your payment would be if you purchased a specific refrigerator on sale using their promotional financing or even regular financing they will tell you that the only way you can find out what your payment will be is to finalize the purchase and then they will be able to tell you what your payment will be. As a customer I want to know what my payment will be before I purchase the appliance. In fact they can not even tell you whether or not the promotional financing payment is a separate payment from your regular credit card payment. Trying to get answers from customer service, billing or Synchrony Bank/JCP is like trying to get ice by heating water. All those hours I spent comparing product features went down the drain. I'm not buying anything even if I do have the credit limit, especially not from a bank no better than the Pirate Blackbeard, without knowing whether I'm making one or two different payments a month or without knowing before I purchase the item how much the payment will be. Be careful, the contract they send you after you are approved in the retail store has some nasty rules related to how they calculate $35 late fees. Believe me I would not make other than a recurring minimum payment from my bank to avoid their thieving late fee practices. My advice is don't use your Penneys Credit Card unless its a last resort. Be careful of their advertised Interest Free 18 and 30 month promotional financing because if the contract is not paid off before the contract ends they will go back and charge you interest for the whole 18 or 30 month period, even if you have $1.00 left over on the contract. It's really sad what business practices JC Penneys retail stores have chosen to engage in. If JC Penney were alive today he would experience only shame. The greed that these banks possess is tragic. Watch your interest rate, it's very likely to skyrocket after you receive your first billing statement. Buyer Beware, Christmas is coming. read more
