This place came up in my Facebook feed and I Liked & Followed them for months. I finally got the chance to get there. The address came up in my GPS and took me "over the river (literally) & through the woods to grandmothers house we go". Actually there's a shorter way from EHT to get there, now that I know. It's a cute little shop with refrigerators & Freezers behind the counter & fresh iced displays of fish in the front. All seafood on display was appetizing. I just came for the homemade crab cakes. They packaged the tin in ice. I sautéed them in a pan when I got home. They were fresh & tasty. Watch out for an occasional shell fragment! I prefer large lumps of crab in my crab cakes. These have none. Just so you know. They were more crab than filler but no chunks of crab. For the price I would buy again. I noticed they had a lot of breaded seafood in the refrigerators & Freezers; breaded oysters too. Time to get out the air fryer. I will have to try next time. Very nice staff, some mercantile to accompany your fish & seafood too. Covid compliant too. Neat little take out shop next door with seating overlooking the river. Worth the trip. read more

If you want fresh fish and shellfish, this is the place to go. For most people it can be out of the way, but it's worth the trip. As many have said the pricing is great, it's very fresh, and the staff is excellent and very friendly. It's also right next to the Mullica River so the view is really nice. Great place to stop by before/after kayaking/canoeing, visiting Batsto, hiking, etc. read more

Awesome local spot for some great quality seafood! Fresh is a huge understatement. We crossed paths with a local fisherman who told us this is where his catches are sold. As seafood lovers, a stop by this place was a must. We ordered little neck steamers, a lobster tail, crab cake and sushi grade tuna. We were recommended to try the clams casino but they didn't have any left when we went, which was a bummer but we will definitely be back for them. When we got home we cooked up the steamers and lobster tail. I have to say I am SO impressed with both. The steamers had ZERO grit. Even from other local spots, I have never ordered a bag of steamers that didn't have grit so this alone showed how great of quality their seafood is. The lobster was imported from Maine and after cooked absolutely delicious. My biggest note about this review are the prices! You literally can't beat them. So happy to find this place! Have been looking for somewhere to buy good live blue crabs. Their fresh seafood is great, the most delicious blue crabs I have ever had. Caught the same day, purchased them live and loved them so much went back the next weeks for more. Scallops are also amazing. and prices are very reasonable, about half what we pay at the beach just a few miles away and way better. The best place to buy take out seafood around!!!! The little neck clams are sooo clean when you get them. I rinsed them a few times prior to cooking and there was zero grit!!!! I also bought the frozen scallops, which thawed and grilled nicely. The frozen crab cakes were great too! I let them thaw, sautéed in butter on the stovetop, then finished them in a 375 oven for about 10 minutes. Perfect. If you can find this place, take the drive. It's worth it! read more

How have I lived a little over a half hour from this place and never heard about it until a few weeks ago? Casually mentioned to me by a friend who was heading there to buy food for her Easter feast, I decided to take a ride over from Mays Landing yesterday. Kind of off the "beaten path", but VERY easy to find. I walked in, and they had me at the sign that said, " Fresh Day Boat Scallops today." They did not over estimate the use of the word fresh. I ate about a half a pound when I got home, and actually polished off the rest for breakfast this morning! I bought two of their frozen crab cakes for my husband's dinner and they sure didn't disappoint. The owner (she told me about her family's history of the store) couldn't have been any nicer, and helped me with a few tips on steaming clams (etc). I'll be back soon.
