A friend of mine is a server here and I decided to stop and say hi and grab a drink. I also met a lovely gentleman who is my bartender his name is Myles- I asked him how he makes his martinis and he said he normally uses olive brine and I asked him if he had any pickle juice and he is going to make me a pickle martini. My friend that is the server his name is Chris. River roost is the same location that is a bar they also have a light apps from 5 PM to 10 PM. This bar is located at Riverside one of the Disney properties their sister resort is the French Quarter. The Pickle martini was out of this world!! This is also the same restaurant/bar that also does YEE HAW BOB. Hopefully I will be out of the bar before yee haw Bob starts.

I was staying at the hotel for a week and hit up this place 3 times. I sat at the bar all 3 times and the service was perfect. Very attentive and friendly bartenders. I went right at 5 when they opened so it was empty. It's pretty quiet but I know that later in the evening there is some live entertainment with singing and piano playing so it might get kind of loud. The selection of food was pretty small but that's ok because I think this is more of a grab a drink and go kind of place. I ordered the charcuterie board it was tasty. All in all, a great place to grab a drink when you get back from being in the parks all day.

What a fun atmosphere. Our servers were extremely attentive and quick. Drinks given quickly and our appetizers were delicious: we got the wings and charcuterie board. We also brought in a pizza from the quick service restaurant for the kids. The entertainment was top notch. Such a fun experience that we will definitely go do again.

Wonderful staff and even more fun on nights when Yehaa Bob is playing. There is a food menu as well as some cocktails. We decided on a couple beers since they have Abita on draft. We love stopping by here and always have a wonderful time.

The River Roost lounge at Disney's Port Orleans Riverside Resort is one of our favorite weekly experiences. The Barbecued Wings (Smoked Chicken Wings tossed in a Sweet-and-Spicy Barbecue Sauce served with Cajun Fries) is one of our favorite meals, especially when paired with a couple of Abita Brewery's Turbodog brews. Other favorites include the Pimento Cheese Fritters (House-made Pimento Cheese Fritters with Pepper Jelly) and the Charcuterie Board (a Selection of Cured Meats and Cheeses with Pickled Vegetables, Candied Cajun Pecans, Marinated Olives, and Grilled Pita Bread Wedges). Of course the experience wouldn't be complete without perhaps the best server on Disney property, John Shorthill. Whether you come to see Yehaw Bob perform his honky-tonk version of Disney classic songs, or merely to enjoy the appetizers and brews, this venue will call to you whenever you visit Walt Disney World.

For someone having never stayed at Port Orleans Riverside I sure have visited the River Roost a few times and there are three reasons for me making the trek here voluntarily: great craft beer and cocktail selections, amazing wait staff and bartenders, and last but certainty not least: Yehaa Bob Jackson. This lounge, located in the main building of Port Orleans Riverside, acts as the go-to cocktail point of the resort and during the daytime this area seems quite chill and calm but as the evening inches closer to 8p you will notice this space come alive. That's all thanks to Yehaa Bob, resident piano man. If you are trying to catch Bob's show plan to get there early, especially if you have a larger group. Bob sings, plays, rocks the house, and be warned there is quite a bit of audience participation. Not only do they have an amazing set of craft and macro draft beer options, but also wine (by the bottle available) and some great cocktail offerings. Staff has always been incredible, even at their busiest times the servers here are top performers and our table never goes without or has any kind of extended wait. Bartenders know how to pour a mean drink and seem to be having just as much fun as the audience each night. Being local we love bringing friends here when they visit for a fun, non-park, evening of cocktails and revelry. Check it out but if you end up running around the Roost and dancing, don't say I didn't warn you about audience participation.

So this is the bar in the Riverside at Port Orleans Resort. The main draw is Yeeha Bob and if you don't know who is just google it. It is so much fun! Drinks are ok and food is fine but most people come for the fun. Get there a little early as Yeeha goes around the whole place and speaks to you takes photos. Great entertainer. Not sure how he keeps up his energy!!

Put a guy next to a piano with a load of talent and watch the crowd. I am sitting in a comfy couch and watching a bunch of people do Head, Knees and Toes. This is a lounge with great drinks and sensational food. I haven't even gotten to the servers. When Yeeha Bob is off, the room is quiet. When he is here, the room comes to life. Ordered a Smoked Turkey which is a bourbon. A few sips in, I started singing with the crowd. Yo, ho, ho, ho, a Pirates Life for Me. It is unbelievable that this crowd can actually sing all of the songs!!

We came back late from Disney Springs, exhausted but still wanted a place to have a drink before we went to bed and River Roost was still open. This place was hopping! There was some live entertainment but I'm pretty sure it was not Yeeha Bob. It was another guy that was playing a keyboard and singing, not bad though, and the crowd enjoyed him. The bar stools were all taken and we decided to sit at a table close to the bar. My boyfriend was about to go order drinks up at the bar but before he could do that a server came over and took our orders. He got a I ordered an Antioxidant Lemonade (acai-blueberry vodka, odwalla lemonade, pomegranate juice, Sprite). Man oh man, my body was healed and cleansed after drinking that. He got a Raspberry Mojito (raspberry rum, lime juice, mint and raspberry puree, soda water) which was much tamer than mine and was pretty tasty. He did not like mine as he said it tasted too much like cough medicine but I enjoyed it. We arrived too late for food so we missed out on that but we were happy with our drinks. We closed the place down and went back to our room. Definitely enjoyed our time there.

We went to see Yeeha Bob. It was a good show, kids loved it. Our server was good. We ordered the wings and fritters. They were both very good. The guys loved the wings do much they ordered more.

I have stayed at about 10 different four seasons and this was by far the best. The level of service is what you would expect with the four seasons brand but this hotel stands above the rest with beauty and things to do. We enjoyed the 5 acre water park every day and loved it. So much to do for families at the pool area and we dipped away from the kids for the quiet adults pool also. If you are staying here to visit Disney it was equally amazing with character breakfasts in Ravello and the Disney shuttles that ran very often. We mostly ate at the pool ( lakehouse) and in the evening at the hotel ( ravello/Lobby bar) The other place capa? on the roof was nice but we didnt dine there but we did enjoy using their balcony to watch the fireworks from magic kingdom/epcot. The Lickitysplit coffee/pastry/sandwich place was very convenient when we needed something on the go for our busy vacation plans outside the hotel. Shining star- Its hard to pick one person since every employee there is a 10/10 on service but Hannah in LakeHouse was a shinier diamond among diamonds she always went above and beyond for my picky grandaughter Bonus- Doing the Smores at the pool was something pretty amazing

We immediately sensed the difference between the two hotels with the promptness of the valet (thank you Donovan for your prompt greeting!) - within 10 seconds a of arrival someone was writing a ticket and another team member was opening my passenger door! We then enjoyed appetizers and cocktails with Alan at Capa; the service was five stars and then some! Our preferences had already been communicated to Ravello upon arrival, and I have to credit Alan AND Andrea and Sydney for making that happen. At Ravello we received Michelin star service from Faith; she knew we wanted to see the fireworks and made sure we didn't miss them, sending a birthday wine with us to the balcony for viewing. I'm floored in the best way by the INCREDIBLE service we received from start to finish at the Four seasons - thank you for giving us faith that a five star experience is still possible! We are local and will certainly return to enjoy this level of hospitality.

This was the first Disney resort I had been to. The first word that came to mind upon our arrival…read morewas "evocative". I was stunned by how beautiful this place was, and how throughly it made me feel like I was in a little enclave of New Orleans. It was quaint and quiet. When we were walking around there was even a horse-drawn carriage making its way down the street with passengers. (Note that the streets aren't open to traffic, just the carriages and maybe small vehicles that the resort employees use.) The lobby is beautiful and very large. There's a gift shop connected to the lobby, and also a little arcade area further back by the bathrooms. On the other side of the entryway courtyard is the quick service restaurant, Sassagoula's, and the coffee shop (the latter is where you'll get some delicious Mickey Mouse-shaped beignets). My favorite part was the splash pad and pool area. Not for myself, but because of my daughter. They have an amazing pool area. There's the larger pool, which has a serpent-shaped waterslide. Adjacent to that is a smaller splash pad area designed for kids. That splash pad area is HUGE! There are two water slides, one of which is enclose all the way around and is significantly the lager of the two. Opposite that is a smaller waterslide that is open and more appropriate for small children, like my toddler. There are a bunch of other water features like a few little water spouts that move around 360 degrees. There's a little wading pool that doesn't go deep, not even a foot, but fun to sit in and splash. There's also a huge water drum, filled up by a pipe at the top and when there's enough water it spins and releases all the water. That was a lot of fun for all the kids playing around. There was a downside. It may simply be the room that we were in, and it didn't feel small exactly, but if I recall correctly there were no drawers in the room. There was a little bathroom/sink area that had some shelves and a few hangers, but that's not really practical. If I was to consider staying here again, that might be a factor in my decision, because I if I stay here for more than three nights I like to be able to unpack my suitcase, not live out of it. Having said that, I did like this resort quite a lot. I would indeed consider staying here again, especially since we only stayed a single night. There's boat access to at least one park, which is helpful, and we took an Uber to Animal Kingdom. The pool/splash pad alone is a big pull towards this resort (the beignets don't hurt, either!), so next time we make it to Disney Port Orleans will be on my short list.

This was 1 of 3 resorts we stayed at during our trip, as we had wanted to do a "split stay", an idea given to us by AJ from DFB Guide (thanks AJ!). NOTES 1. The resort is large and spread out. If one needs to visit the main building of the resort (where the pool, registration, and Olivia's is located), wear comfortable shoes as the walk may be lengthy (depending on which building your room is located in). 2.We paid a little extra when to a book/reserve a room closer to the main building; it was about a 5-10 minute walk from our room. 3. I highly recommend downloading the My Disney Experience app, as this will allow you to check park hours, ride times, place mobile orders, and.....use as your room key. That Disney magic is wonderful. 4. There was no elevator in the building complex we were assigned to, so just be aware. Thankfully the building was only 2 stories (yes, if you haven't guessed already, our room was on the 2nd floor). 5. We checked in via the app, we so were able to go straight to our room. Unfortunately, the "room key" function on the app was out of order due to some network outage/problem. Thankfully, a worker (I think a manger of some rank) saw us struggling to enter our room, and came by to help us. After verifying our res, she unlocked the door. She also sent a worker to our room with physical room keys while we were settling in. 6. Reservation made thru David's Vacation Club; essentially we bought DVC (Disney Vacation Club) points to secure the res. 7. Parking was plentiful in the building lot (the lot was never full during our stay). 8. Guests will have to pass thru a security checkpoint before entering the resort property. HOTEL Amenities 1. As already stated, the main building contains the registration desk, pool, fitness center, ice machine (we found this out the hard way), gift shop (of course), and Olivia's restaurant (where we did have breakfast on our last day). Unfortunately, we only visited the main building for ice, and for breakfast at Olivia's.....and to drop off our suitcases for luggage transfer to our next resort. ROOM Amenities 1. 2 Queen beds 2. Flat screen tv 3. Small kitchenette area with microwave, sink, small fridge, toaster, and coffee maker with condiments. 4. Small lanai/balcony with table and chairs. 5. Small sitting area with table and chairs (this was our "dining table" and snack table during our stay). 6. Spacious bathroom with a decent amount of counter space. There were dispensers in the shower containing shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. We thought the room was incredibly spacious, and we appreciated the extra space beneath the beds for luggage storage. Since OKW is considered a DVC resort, we also were thankful for the kitchenette area, especially the small fridge where we stored drinks and leftovers. Lastly, the beds were quite comfy.....which made for a restful sleep after long days in the park. Though we paid extra for a room closer to the main building, I thought it was worth the additional fee(s) for the convenience. This was helpful since we had to drop off our suitcases over for the luggage transfer service. BOTTOM LINE Spacious room, comfy beds, considerable storage space, and friendly and helpful staff. Recommended.

There's a lot to love about this resort. The jogging trail and overall scenery are genuinely beautiful and make it feel like a relaxing escape after long park days. The freestyle soda machines were a nice perk, and the food quality exceeded expectations--it felt thoughtfully prepared rather than typical cafeteria-style resort food. Our room was very clean, which always makes a big difference, and the variety of transportation options to the parks was convenient and flexible. For what we paid, the value felt fair, especially considering the amenities. The pool area was also a highlight, and throughout our stay, the employees were consistently professional and helpful. The on-site laundry room was another underrated bonus--it made it easy to head home without a pile of laundry waiting. That said, there were a few drawbacks. We did notice gnats occasionally making their way into the room, which was frustrating. Transportation to Magic Kingdom in particular was inconsistent--the bus took a long time and caused us to miss early entry one morning. One bus driver interaction also stood out, as we were repeatedly corrected about our stroller not being "fully folded" (even though it was), along with strict direction on where we could stand or sit. Additionally, depending on your room location, the walk to Centertown Market can be quite long and inconvenient. The resort is also a bit far from any off-property convenience stores if you need to grab last-minute items, and the lack of a fitness center may be a downside for some guests. Overall, despite a few inconveniences, this was a fun and enjoyable place to stay. The positives definitely outweighed the negatives, and I would recommend it--and would stay here again.

When a vacation room has a door that faces the outside of the property I defined that as a motel and so that perception was immediately disappointing. We also experienced a lot of bugs coming in and out of the room and since you weren't in an interior space, traditional to a hotel, it contributed to having to walk through them. The resort is big in the pool area was nice. Getting from our room to the common area with food and gift shops seemed quite a distance, especially for us with a younger family. Travel to and from the park was convenient, although like any resort, very busy during peak times. Having visited other Disney resorts and resorts outside of the park, we would no longer choose to stay at the Caribbean beach resort.

It was also extremely busy during our stay, although the staff did a great job and were consistently friendly and helpful. We were "upgraded" to a pool view room which gives you a view of the fireworks at Magic Kingdom and Epoct. The biggest frustration was the elevators. They were slow, crowded, and there just didn't seem to be enough of them for the number of guests. We spent a lot of time waiting. The free shuttle to the parks was a nice perk and made getting around easy. The pool area is also very nice, but the best lounge chairs are reserved, and many guests claim chairs early in the morning by leaving towels or personal items on them, even when they're gone for hours. The bar overserves people. As a Hyatt Globalist, breakfast was included each morning. You can choose either the buffet or one entrée from the menu. We opted for the buffet, and while it wasn't anything exceptional, it had a good variety and was satisfying. The Wi-Fi was unreliable throughout our stay, which was disappointing. Room service was reasonably priced, but the food was just average and nothing memorable. One thing that could definitely be improved is the entrance gate. If one car is checking in, everyone behind them has to wait, even if they're already registered. It creates unnecessary backups. The resort fee felt high for what was actually included, especially considering the internet issues and some of the property's shortcomings. We got a good room rate, which helped offset the cost, but the added fees made the overall value less impressive. Overall, it's a decent place with excellent employees and some nice amenities, but there are enough operational issues that I'd probably look at other options before staying here again.

We called our friend at the hotel who went downstairs to the valet to explain that we were stranded in a thunderstorm miles away because valet gave us the wrong keys. The valet guy found the correct keys for the car we needed and did not offer a solution. When we left the lobby we crossed the bridge to the pool but found it impossible to secure at least one available chair at 11am on a Sunday Morning. We eventually found someone willing to give up theirs and spent some time in the pool. Good size pool area but let down by a limited amount of chairs for the amount of people. Look, if you weren't able to do that as part of a group maybe your desk staff should see that when they look up our reservation on their iPad and it shouldn't take 2-3 phone calls the next morning to get it sorted out. Annoying and honestly a pretty poor lack of communication. Would I stay here again ?? No. It's fine as far as Hotel's go but for me falls below the expectations the Disney experience should offer. A Birthday Wish Come True: Magic and Mediterranean Charm at Suite 8882…read more If you are looking for a place where "European chic" meets "Disney Magic," look no further than Disney's Riviera Resort. We recently visited for a birthday celebration during the April Spring Break rush, and while the parks were bustling, the Riviera remained our peaceful, pixie-dusted sanctuary. As DVC members for 18 years, we've seen our fair share of resorts, but the Riviera continues to prove why joining the club was the best decision we ever made. The Enchantment of Suite 8882 We stayed in a one-bedroom suite (Room 8882), and to say it was spacious is an understatement. Even though it was just the two of us, this room could have easily hosted a whole "mouse-sized" army of five. The layout is pure Disney genius: Hidden Magic Beds: The living room features two hideaway beds that appear out of nowhere. One is tucked under the TV, and the other--a double--is hidden behind a stunning piece of wall art. For the Fans: As a huge Beauty and the Beast and Mickey/Minnie fan, seeing Cogsworth, Lumiere, Chip, and Mrs. Potts on the wall art was a total "Be Our Guest" moment. The "Royal" Bath: The bathroom setup is perfect for families (or an executive getting ready for a big day). With a standalone soaking tub and a separate enclosed shower/toilet area with two sinks, no one is ever stepping on each other's toes. Five-Star Amenities & Views The room was outfitted with everything a "Home Away from Home" needs--full kitchen, laundry (with soap!), and plenty of light. We especially loved the balcony, which offered a sweeping view of the courtyard, the lake, the Caribbean Resort, and the Skyliner gondolas gliding toward Epcot and Hollywood Studios. It's the perfect spot for a morning coffee before the parks "open up the gates." World-Class Service The cast members truly went above and beyond. From the warm welcome at registration (complete with a birthday pin!) to the incredible service at Topolino's Terrace and Primo Piatto, the hospitality was top-tier. Even the personalized welcome message on the two guest room TVs made us feel like the guests of honor. A Pro-Tip for Travelers: The Grocery "Snag" We did run into one minor "Goofy" moment with our Amazon grocery order. Important Detail: If your order contains alcohol, Disney staff cannot accept it on your behalf if you aren't physically present. Our flight was delayed, and the order was rejected. We simply re-ordered for the next day (sans alcohol to be safe), and the staff was wonderful about delivering everything straight to our room once we returned from the parks. Though the parks were crowded, our stay at the Riviera was a dream. Whether you're celebrating a birthday or just looking for some high-end relaxation, Room 8882 at the Riviera is where the magic happens!

I thought Disney's Riviera Resort was nice. It's themed after the French and Italian Riviera and…read morethe architecture of that area, so it has a bit of an upscale atmosphere. It's a big resort and, during our visit, it felt quite crowded. For example, Le Petit Café and the nearby seating areas (like the Voyageurs Lounge) were full of adults mostly working on their laptops. I believe the shop here, La Boutique, has Riviera-exclusive items--including some high-end clothing and resort-branded art--that you can't find anywhere else at Disney World. The highlight for us was Topolino's Terrace on the 10th floor. They serve Mediterranean cuisine and offer a great Character Dining experience at breakfast and fine dining at night. In terms of transportation, the Disney Skyliner has a station here with lines to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios. We took the Skyliner from EPCOT, which was convenient. There's also direct bus service to Magic Kingdom, which we utilized as well.
