Waitress was also nice and helpful throughout, Husband started with a Black Velvet- a little off as it was all cider and not half and half, but still fine. Meals: Chicken Sandwich and chips- liked a lot, good size and flavor. Reuben x2 - one with slaw and one without- good not great if that makes sense. A solid 7 and enjoyable. Chicken- with veggies, mash, and an apple butter sauce. Chicken was thin but very good again. Mashed potatoes weren't great- lukewarm and not tons of flavor. Veggies were good. Guinness Beef stew- daughters was disappointed this time. It was lukewarm at best and mostly veggies, only two pieces of meat and a third fatty piece. We did not complain about anything or ask to replace, and of course didn't hold anything against the server as she was great and majority was fine. This restaurant tucked into Universal Studios is easily missed, but it's one of the better options for food & beer, if that's your cup of tea (terrible joke I know). Finnegan's is an Irish Pub, and they did great with the theme and feel inside where you do feel whisked away out of the states and over to the UK. There's a lot of Irish food on the menu, and a whole bar where you can stop to get a Guinness or hang out if you don't want food. They have tvs where sports are usually playing so truly, it does have that pub feel. I was beyond impressed with the wings I ordered here. They have a sweet barbecue taste and it was real, delicious chicken. One of the best things I've tried at these parks in a long time. The whipped mashed potatoes were lovely, and my friend enjoyed his reuben sandwich. Seriously, I don't come to expect much from most food at the parks, but this was solid. They have live music certain days which can be a nice addition. There's actually a ton of seating even though it doesn't seem like it from the outside. What also surprised me was how quiet and peaceful it felt in here, leaving all the chaos of the parks outside to sit and hang for a bit. We made a reservation ahead a week ahead to ensure we don't have to wait for a table. Upon checking-in we were taken table right away. The restaurant very nice Irish vibes with wall decor, art, sports gears and of course lots of green things. Other than tables and booths, they also had multiple huge bars. The menu had a lot of Irish style appetizers and entrees. I ordered the Reuben sandwich that came with tasty corned beef, dressing sauerkraut and cheese in toasted rye. I liked the sandwich. My family also got the fish and chips, chicken tenders and veggie sheperd's pie. Those were somewhat disappointing. During a stay at Universal Orlando with my parents in December 2024, we stopped in Finnegan's Bar & Grill. I'm a huge fan of pub food and enjoy having a pint of beer or cider. We were quickly seated, and I enjoyed the Irish pub feel of this location. They even had live music which I wasn't expecting, which reminded me of my local pub I frequent for English Premier League matches. The service was friendly, though we found the food to be pretty bland. The Guinness Warm 3 Cheese Dip ($11.95) wasn't worth the price tag as it was only served with two pretzel sticks. I ordered the vegan shepherd pie and ended up leaving most of it as it just felt boring in terms of seasoning. My dad enjoyed his fish and chips, and my mom said the salad was decent for an amusement park. I could see myself possibly returning, and trying something else as the atmosphere was nice. read more

This was one of the last places we had not dined at in Universal Studios. We wanted to get in before the shutdown for a remodel next year (2026). It jas always smelled good when we walk past. I was excited to see several items on the menu, but we we not impressed with the quantity and quality of most of the items. Food: * Drunken Mussels - the best part of the meal - excellent portion size for two people to share, really good flavor. The only thing we would have liked was more bread to dip in the sauce - only includes two pieces. The waitress did bring us two more pieces, but said that was all she would be able to get us. * Guinness Beef Stew - good flavor but the portion is small for the price. The bowl is probably about 1.5 cups (maybe two) and contains probably six pieces of beef. * Shepherd's Pie - good-sized portion, LOTs of cheddar cheese to make the crust and decent flavor (but not great). The cheese can overwhelm the flavor. Service: We had a great waitress and support staff. Once seated, we had two people stop by to make sure we had our drink order taken. Overall this is "average" and on par for Universal Studios. Hopefully when they remodel they update the menu. read more

We went for dinner during Halloween Horror Nights and were seated instantly. Our waitress was also very friendly and the restaurant itself was clean. We ended up ordering the Beef Stew and the Reuben. Both came out pretty quickly and they both tasted good, but the Beef Stew Portion wasn't really that big, and I didn't like the mashed potatoes on the beef stew, would have preferred them on a separate smaller plate. I'd probably recommend getting something else from their menu if you're really hungry, but overall it was still good. Located inside the Universal Orlando - Studios by the Minions and Revenge of the Mummy. Upon arrival, we were asked if we had a reservation, which we did not. There was a Universal VIP tour group ahead of us and they sat the group by family instead of one big tour group. Our server was friendly, but she kept making comment that I smell good repeatedly. Finnegan's Bar and Grill is located inside Universal Studios in the New York section. It's located directly across an alley from where The Blues Brothers act is performed. Finnegan's is a large restaurant with indoor seating only. It takes walk ins and reservations, is table service and has a full bar. I had lunch there last week and ordered one of the house specialties which is beef stew for $22. The meal arrived less than 15 minutes later. When it arrived the waitress asked if I would like any soda bread which I accepted. It is complimentary so be sure to ask for it. The stew had plenty of stew meat in it but not many vegetables. It also had a large dollop of mashed potatoes in the center. The gravy was dark brown and the meal tasted very good. However, it was a smallish serving so the soda bread helped fill me up. This stew serving should be larger...theme park dining! I like the interior decor of Finnegan's and the food tasted very good. Try to get a window near the Blues Brothers stage and you might be able to watch the show through a window while dining. The meal was a 3.5 but I'll round up to a 4 for Yelp purposes. read more

I'm so glad this restaurant has stayed great in quality and service all these years. They continue to be our designated lunch place whenever we are doing the Islands/Universal dual park trip. This time however, we weren't served the soda bread ahead of our lunches but maybe they were just very busy. Not that it mattered much as the food arrived quickly enough and was plentiful and tasty. Finnegan's is located inside Universal Studios directly across from the Mummy Ride. It is one of our favorite places and somewhere we will visit each time we are there. This is one of the only restaurants in Universal that serves a multiple role. They have a bar which you can go and grab a drink to go, sometimes you are also able to sit at the bar and then they have an actual sit-down restaurant as well. We have been here numerous times mostly at the bar as well as a handful of times in the actual restaurant. To talk about the bar. This is a full-service bar, it's pretty long and has lots of space. The bartenders here are absolutely fantastic, with most of them having worked here for numerous years. It has a very nice variety of beers on tap as well as a fully stock liquor bar. My favorite drink to get here is an espresso martini. We usually get it go, which would be served in a plastic Universal cup, but what is great with this drink in particular, is that they serve it with a sugar stick. It is a very good drink for a theme park bar. My husband usually orders a Blue Moon beer with a Jameson orange shot to add to the beer. It brings out the orange flavor in the beer. We have also had lunch in the restaurant a few times. Their food is very Irish including fish and chips, shepherd's pie, and more. They also have more Americanized food such as chicken, burgers and buffalo chicken strips. The service is always fantastic and it's a nice break from the park. You usually do not need a reservation although on busy days, it might be required or a very long wait. They also have a live musician at times which also adds to the ambiance of this location. Overall, we really enjoy this place both for sitting down and having lunch/dinner and also just coming in to grab a drink to go. It has become one of our staples at Universal and a place we would continue to return to time after time. I would highly recommend anyone checking it out especially for a cocktail. read more

Service was good. Food options were good. Definitely Irish fare. I have nothing against that, I'm just a picky eater. Decor was Irish Pub. The reason we went is that they currently have a fried pickles appetizer for Universal Passholders and we wanted to try it. We asked the host about it and she said that you get a fried pickles appetizer spear with a sandwich. I didn't specify that we were passholders, but it didn't seem that she knew about it at all. The server did, though. It was really good. We also got a side salad and beer cheese soup. We didn't want a lot as we were heading to a movie right after. The salad was fine. Not a fan of pickled onions in a salad, but it was ok. The beer cheese soup came with 2 long pretzels, which were great. The soup was great for dipping. Which is sad, because it was more like a fondue or dip than a soup. Won't be getting that again. Fez was our server and he was good. One thing that I don't like seeing, however, is servers not using a scoop to out ice in drink glasses. There were at least 2 female servers putting the glass directly in the ice. We walked up to Finnegan's in Universal Studios at lunchtime without a reservation and were seated right away as it was a slow day at the park. I decided on the Newcastle chicken for my entrée because I love breaded chicken and it came with Colcannon mashed potatoes, which I love. These mashed potatoes are supposed to have cabbage cooked in them and mashed, but I could not find any evidence of cabbage however they were nice and creamy. I liked the chicken and I really liked the side which was corn O'Brien which in addition to sautéed corn was also sliced asparagus and was quite tasty and fresh. My friend wanted to order the corned beef and cabbage, but she asked the server if the corned beef would have fat on it because she doesn't like that. The server returned and said that it would not have fat on it. when she received her meal, she said it had a very good flavor, but about half of the meat on the plate was a giant hunk of fat so that was disappointing, but she didn't complain. My dinner was tasty, but I would be hesitant to order the corned beef if I were you, which is a shame because it is after all an Irish restaurant. read more

After all these years I've never been to Finnegan's. Atmosphere is set up to be like a "pub". At least a cartoon version of one. Exactly what you'd expect at a theme park. Service was prompt and the food and drinks came out quickly. Started with a half and half Guinness and Harp. Always a good choice! I went with the Guinness Beef Stew. It came with a side with 2 soda breads and spreads. At first look, it seems a bit small. And yeah, if I was famished and was only eating this, definitely get an app as well. But for lunch, this was the perfect size. The beef was fall apart tender without being mushy. Gravy was thick and a bit sweet. I could have used a bit more potatoes but the soda bread helped sop up the gravy just fine. Definitely left sated without being stuffed which is a very good thing at a theme park! Definitely recommend the place. I saw another table get wings, burger, and rueben. I'll tell you what, that rueben looked amazing (as did the others). read more
