We had a great visit despite the 118° weather. The campground itself was clean. Everything was picked up and nice. Looks to be fairly new so the trees are small so make sure you have shade. But be careful the winds do pick up and will blow your shade structure or motorhome awning quite a bit! We found the staff so helpful and nice. Lou traveled around, greeted the guests even on the beach with his golf cart making sure everyone was happy and didn't need anything. The young girl in the front office was also helpful. The clubhouse is nice and big and we were able to use it and cool off for games. I'm sure our Group will be back. read more

Maybe the trees are still small because this is a new RV park, BUT everything else about River Sands RV Resort is OUTSTANDING!!! From the reservation staff to the folks working daily onsite, everyone were very friendly & professional.. The team at River Sands truly work to ensure one's stay is enjoyable & without any problems. Their facilities are top notch. The amenities here are akin to any upscale Westin Villa properties... From the pool, clubhouse, gym, pickle-ball courts, and much more, we were delighted with the quality & abundance of activity options. AND, the river beach access is fantastic as well!!! This park is also very dog friendly, with plenty of designated potty locations & even a large gated dog park. Another, often undervalued item, that I greatly appreciate is the sites here are actually very level... Did I mention the staff are wonderfully delightful!! I stopped by today to visit the Park and was pleasantly surprised to have a guided tour by the Manager Lou Milioti. It's located on the Colorado River and has a nice beach with tiki huts and you can cool off in the water or play with your dog. There's a gym, pool & spa with a really nice clubhouse to use. The upselling is a confidence buster. Even though paid in full it's an extra charge to reserve your spot. That's whack. That's unusual and gouging. Extremely friendly staff and easy check in right off the bat! Convenience store had ICE COLD beer that hit the spot after a day of travel. Facilities are newer, clean and well kept. Spacious laundry facilities and private bathroom/showering facilities. Large rec room with numerous games and amenities. Very nice pool and jacuzzi area for a relaxing dip. Sites are easy to access and the grounds are flat and open (not any trees to dump leaves/needles on your slides) Was only here for a night, but planning on staying again on future trips! read more

Had an emergency layover on our way home due to flu. Needed a place to rest, quarantine and recover. Mr Lou was gracious and accommodating. The team at River Sands went out of their way to make our stay less stressful and more relaxing. The people here are very attentive and really earn our business every time. My parents especially love coming back here and appreciate the staff for letting them keep their trailer on the grounds until their next trip. The clubhouse is nice and cool and the indoor games are convenient for when you want to have fun in the shade. I love the laundry room and showers they have. The showers are so spacious! We drive from San Diego to northern Phoenix every year for Padres Spring Training. We usually take two days to drive there & Ehrenberg Az is a great overnight stop. River Sands has a full hookup 'sunrise' pull-thru site that's $48 (Spring 2024). It's a CRR Hospitality RV park - a chain of elevated RV resorts with many nice amenities. So it's also a great place to enjoy the area that's on the AZ-side of the Colorado River. You can reserve pricier deluxe site near the beach. There are cheaper options but this location, just over the border, has a Pilot gas station nearby which makes for easy refueling at AZ gas prices. Plus, it's a newer park (opened 2023) so all the facilities & infrastructure are new. They have a great clubhouse, pool, & pickleball courts. Level, spacious but unshaded gravel sites. Decent WiFi throughout the park & free DirectTV. They recently added a coded gate for added security. Cons: no shade, RV 'parking lot' design, no showers in the clubhouse restrooms. read more

We came for a stop over on our way to Lost Dutchman State Park. We had reservations at a "resort" in Blythe. Let's just say pictures can be deceiving. We found this place on yelp, called and they had a site available. We didn't stay 5 minutes at the other place and came right over to River Sands. Very friendly staff. This place is beautiful, clean and has a great beach on the river. The facilities are top notch! Great huge pull through spots. We're only here 1 night but will be back for sure. Quiet time of 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. is not honored at this campground. They want quiet 24/7. We were all together at one campsite (group of 16 with 8 rigs) on a Friday afternoon. We were given a heads up by another party that another camper did not appreciate our music and tried to recruit them to complain. That party stated the volume of music was fine and they had no issues. Shortly after, approximately 4 p.m., we were told by resort staff (Lou) that our music was too loud, turn it down and to move the speaker. It was not loud (volume 4 out of 10). And we were also told not everyone utilizes the campground the same way. The campground was happy to take our group in and collect the site fees from us but clearly caters to longer term Snowbird clientele of "Karens" that prefer to stay in their rigs all day and complain if there is music playing during the day. The vibe of the campground was more of a Zombie Apocalypse feel. No one outside, no campfires but us, an occasional dog walker. To be fair-the place was clean, the clubhouse and fitness center were a plus. The private beach area was nice. The staff at the office were helpful. There is plenty of space to hold group rallies. We are part of 2 larger camping pages of over 8k members each that holds rallies of 60+ rigs for Halloween, Christmas, etc...but would not recommend this place for groups that want to congregate and spend time with each other outdoors. read more

Management needs serious training on correct way to handle issues We were there this weekend with a group of friends ( approx 8 rigs 16 people ) , we all gathered at one site for brunch on a Friday around 12:30, we were playing music , not loud or anything explicit...sometime later some other campers came to us and gave us a "heads up" that someone will be complaining about music...not the volume mind you but the "genre"and that these "complainers" were trying to rally other campers to get on board with a complaint Sure enough the manager of campground came (Lou) and said that we need to bring our speaker in closer and lower the volume as "not everyone has the same style" as us.... I am now fuming that the campground would take sides when no campground rules have been violated....we were told to lower the volume simply because someone else did not like the genre (this was verified by other campers that the "Karens" tried to recruit ) The correct thing was to tell the Karens that their is nothing they could do as no camp rules were being violated...instead manager came to us and told us to lower our music which was not loud AT ALL In all fairness, yes its new, clean, big spaces, amenities but thats it....it felt more like an RV Ghost Town, nobody outside, no sign of life other than our group .... They care more about the long termers I guess their money is better than ours I talked to operations mgr "Dawn" and all she could do was apologize Next step is corporate....but seriously doubting anything will be done Will never be back here read more

This is a new RV resort. We stayed through Superbowl weekend. My honey and I aren't into football, but there was a party for guests at the clubhouse. This resort offers RV spaces and "tiny homes" that you can buy or rent. There is also a beach along the Colorado River for the guests to enjoy. The resort itself was very clean and the staff was friendly. We will definitely stay here again and plan to check out other resorts in the CRR Properties group. read more

The staff here is great. They have been incredibly accommodating to me and I know that I'm a pretty needy person. I'll complain about anything if it sounds even the slightest bit reasonable to complain about. Water, electric, internet and sewage are all one flat rate during the stay which makes it very nice to be able to run my A/C as much as I need to in the desert heat without having to worry about a huge bill when I leave. Most of the guests are very nice, I walk my dog and most everyone waves and says hello, I met a couple of nice people with dogs and our pups got to play in the dog park. Swimming, fishing, private river beach, and high water pressure shower facilities make this place feel as comfortable (even moreso when talking about the shower) as my sticks and bricks apartment. Honestly, the biggest issue here is the weather and as of yet, I haven't come up with an idea on how the staff could turn down the sun just outside of Death Valley lol! And they even have a comedy show going on in these reviews hahaha!! One person complaining that the desert has sand... A couple complaining that they were bothering other guests and were asked to stop lol. And another upset that it is an RV resort and not a highway rest stop. And the best one... Complaining that the RV resort did not build a mall for them to go shopping at!!! OMG that one had me rolling!! Reading the bad reviews here has made my day. Anyone who wants a good laugh needs to check them out! Seriously these guys are great. Any time I am staying in the area, even for a night, River Sands is my resort! Go check it out! I had a great time and you will too. ...you know... assuming you don't try to ruin other people's enjoyment or get mad that the outside can't be climate controlled. HAHA read more

I had a great time at River Sands RV Resort. The staff was very responsive from before we even arrived & went above when we did arrive. The park wasn't even half full so they let me park my extra vehicle & pull trailer in the spot next to us. The park was quiet but I like a empty-quiet park. I loved that long strip of beach that I can see me launching my big inflatable pink Cadillac when it gets hotter. There are some things that I think are missing, like a bball court & bigger park...But overall It's a beautiful park that I really enjoyed. Next up is Coachella Lakes! read more

The "resort" itself was pretty good. Clubhouse was great, pool and hot tub were fantastic. Staff were great and always helpful. Sites are concrete - but separated by rocks and dirt - absolutely no grass or astroturf in site (except for the doggie piddle areas). Small, dry, shrubs - no trees. The layout is irritating - the office is at one end, prior to the gates (which if you are on a bike, you will not be able to trigger the gates and will have to get off and maneuver your bike in the brush around the gate to get out. And the clubhouse is clear at the other end of the park - closer to the river but only close for 10-20 RVs basically. The laundry is in the center of the park. Laundry facility is very nice, you can use a prepaid card or an app on your phone to "feed" the machines. There is a nice beach area at the river as well. Yes it is cosmetic, but even just a little added astroturf or bushes would help! Everything is gray, tan, brown and soooooo much dust. I was doing a "spring cleaning" at least weekly and we just felt like we were eating dirt all the time and everything inside had a dusty sheen, constantly, no matter how much I cleaned. If you want basically the equal of boondocking in the middle of a desert, with services, then this is the place for you! But if you like to do out to dinner, or a movie, or even some shopping - stay far away. Walmart is an hour, Target is about 2 hours, no restaurants - none. Well except for a dive bar that had bad pizza and even worse wings.Mail delivery was a HUGE pain. The town is so small there is no delivery of mail - UPS and FedEX will make it to the resort (somethings - UPS was a hit or miss) everything else goes to the post office and by the time you figure out that's where it is, then the items are usually sent back because they will only hold it 1-2 days before returning - depending on who is working, because nothing is done consistently. The best option is to rent a mailbox - which we did, but even with the mailbox I was still having things send back. Oh - and if you have Amazon Prime - do not expect your packages within the usual 2-3 days - it literally takes 10 days to get a package from Amazon - "usually"... If UPS in Blythe is actually in the mood to deliver it - so many times I was told. Package is "lost" when it wasn't delivered only to have it how up the next day, etc. All in all, this wouldn't be a bad place for a week, but longer than that I wouldn't recommend it unless all you want to do is sit in the middle of the desert eating dust. Oh - and the power to the park went out a few times as well because there are two companies that share the area and switch back and forth monthly for the power - "usually" its a smooth transition - if they want to do their job on that day. First time here. Very spacious lots and close to all clubhouses. 100 yards to the river!! Customer service is top notch. Staff is always cleaning the clubhouses, driving around campsites making sure no issues arise, extremely friendly and attentive. Stayed here for Father's Day and the kids had an amazing stay. Me and my family stayed at riversands rv resort in one of their cabins this past weekend and had an amazing time. It started out as a nightmare due to Air bnb screwing up my reservation and not trying at all to resolve the issue as their system had a glitch and it would not let me pay and had me contact the host which had nothing to do with the error. The staff went above and beyond to help me out as I was checking in that day. They talked me off the cliff and assured me everything would be fine regardless of air bnb error. Once we arrived, it got even better. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. The amenities were amazing with the beach on the river and club house. The customer service was A+++++++. I could keep going, but the people there made me feel no matter how crazy our country has been lately, that there are still genuinely kind people out there. I never thought I would ever have a reason to visit blythe ever again, but now I do. Me and my family thank you guys so much. read more

The manager, assistant manager, and staff are there for you if questions or concerns, with a smile and are delightful humans. We picked this resort because it the half way point for us in SoCal and our family Arizona. This is a really nice place to stay. The RV sites are really wide and long so you don't feel like you are top of each other The resort has a really nice pool area and the clubhouse is awesome. When they built this resort they thought of everyone. The River area is nice as well. The bathhouse and laundry facilities are top notch. The only thing I would suggest is a bigger play area for the kids and an actual launch area. I highly recommend this resort 110%. The resort manager Lou is very personable an always willing to help out and Jasmine at the front desk welcomes you with a smile and also willing to accommodate with your needs. Brand new rv park and is still being worked on. No shade but it is the desert. Right on the Colorado River. Roads need some work and I was not impressed with the restroom/shower rooms. This is our first time here. We are full time RVr's and usually stay on south east coast of the US in the winter. During our 10 years of travel we have found that the term "Resort" is used very loosely in the Campground world. Some places feel if they have a bathhouse and electricity they can call it a resort. River Sands is only about 2 years old and is a resort. The loaction is on the Colorado River and they have a small beach. There is a nice clubhouse, a pool and hot tub, pickle ball courts and a huge laundry facility. The cost to stay is a third of what we have paid to stay in so called resorts in Florida. The sites are very long and wide, more than enough for our 40ft motorhome and our towed vehicle. The staff is helpful and friendly. The only downside to the location is there is very little in services such as restaurants, etc. There is a local bar and restaurant at the top of the hill just outside of the resort. A Dollar Store is also just outside the resort for small items. The closest grocery store is in Blythe, California, about 5 miles away and you will pay Califorinia prices. This is great place to do off roading, tons of trails and sites. This is also a good spot to stay to visit Quartzsite and not be in the gem show maddness. Parker, the location of The Desert Bar is about 45 minutes away. read more

We absolutely enjoyed our stay. There are a few tweaks i would suggest that would make the resort even better though. The small artificial grass needs weekly maintenance as there is poop residue and it looks gross. Also it would have been great to have actual showers in the clubhouse since the pool is close by. Other parent guests are not watching their children and allowing them to just hang out in the clubhouse without supervision and making a big mess. This is problematic for those of us parents that actually watch our children. There are a lot of things here that could be broken. Also it would be great to have vending machines by the pool or during the weekend; some sort of sales of drinks and/or snacks. We love that there are plenty of places to hang out for the kids but love the idea of a splash pad hope some things can be worked on and we would love to have another visit soon! Cheers read more

This place is a hidden gem! The next time we go to the RV show in Quartzite, we will stay here and drive east 15 miles to the show. This is a new park which is only one year old. We have a 45' motorhome and tow a Ford Ranger and I think I could almost fit without unhooking in most of the spots. We stayed in site 1008, all the way in the back. The clubhouse is right there, along with a swimming pool and spa. Closer to the front they have Pickleball courts. My wife was in heaven! If you a traveling into or out of California on the 10 freeway it is right there at the Arizona border. They even have a nice beach on the Colorado river. The roads are wider than any we have ever seen. The sites are spacious and flat. The people running the park are all about customer service. Seriously, if you are out that way you should check it out. The last time we went to Quartzite we stayed in a park in Brenda, which is east of town. This is way better. read more

The resort is nice! The clubhouse is beautiful with lots to do! It is definitely a resort that is catered more toward the long term campers! Short-stay guests are not really catered to, as much as the long term guests. A small group (less than 15 people) of us came here for the weekend for our first time and we were not highly impressed. We had music playing at one of our sites and we were asked to turn it down in the middle of the afternoon even though it wasn't loud or obnoxious! Ridiculous! We felt like we had to be quiet the whole weekend and couldn't really enjoy ourselves! We more than likely won't be back! read more

EV drivers beware. This resort does not allow EV's. I called to book a reservation and nicely asked the representative what the extra charge would be if I had an EV because I was doing a one night Tesla camp. (Tesla's have a feature that called camping mode, it has a mattress inside the car) The representative said "This is not allowed" Willing to give the resort extra money, like it says in their own terms and conditions, please see the attached photo, they said a second time "This is not allowed". Amazing that if your willing to pay more, adhering to their own terms and conditions, the answer is NO. What are they going to tell an electric truck towing a trailer? The trailer can come in, but you have to leave the truck outside the resort? The year is 2024... Knowledge for the resort.. the car pulls 32 amps max. Most larger trailers have a 50 amp plug. Large rigs can easily pull a continuous 40 - 50 amps. But I guess paying more for electricity to power large rigs just makes more sense. read more

Do Not Stay Here With a Family. It's Not Safe! I stayed at the resort 1 night and experienced a fractious dog not on a leash. I immediately went into my rv after the incident and called the front desk. I told them I didn't feel safe with an aggressive dog next door that wasn't on a leash. After 30 minutes I noticed the dog outside and not on a leash yet. I called the front desk again and asked to speak to manager. She said they sent an email to the people that owned the dog. I requested that they physically needed to stop at the site and talk to the owner. The manager stopped at the site with the dog and the dog was aggressively barking at the staff and wasn't on a leash. They told the women to put the dog on a leash and she pointed to the leash that was on the dog but it was attached to anything. They told them that they had to tie the dog up and left. After another 30 minutes I called the front desk again and asked for an update because I still didn't feel safe. The manager came and talked to me and said they couldn't do anything about it.
