Very nice venue to hang out in Three rivers. The food is good, the staff is super friendly, perfect spot to get a beer before/after going the Sequoias. But what sold me was the music, the 2 guys that perform there are full of joy, talent and soul : "Two way street". I will definitely stop here everything I come to this area to hike. It's a no frills Bar & Grill kind of spot from the outside, but it's a great place to have a beer and a burger right by the River. The Staff are super friendly and accommodating to say the least. We went on a busy weekend and the wait was over an hour, but there's a self-serve area where you can still sit by the River but in exchange self-order from the Bar where it can be busy if there are people waiting for drinks since there were just two Baristas at the time. Although, it still beats waiting for over an hour for a table. read more

Love the back porch area. Great views of the river. Beware of the bees though. They feed them so they won't bother you, but they still did us. We had to move. The chicken salad was huge and was pretty good except the chicken was just a tad too salty for my taste. Mom had a Cobb and said it was pretty good. If only I could I would give zero stars. We were there because we were headed to the park. Bad service would be an understatement. They seated us right away but no one came to our table for a good 20 minutes. When we were ready to order, the girl taking our order didnt know a single thing about the menu and kept going back inside to ask someone else. Also they were not friendly at all. I can understand its hard to smile and have a good attitude when the restaurant is busy but I think it is a minimum requirement to just act a little friendly. Also most of the people in the restaurant was literally staring at 5 of us. And no we were not talking loud or anything. I dont know if brown people are not common in that area but it was the most awkward lunch for us so far. The food was good but the environment not at all. My family and friends came to this pathetic excuse for a restaurant because of the view of the river. We were greeted, seated and our large party was somewhat accommodated. We had to split up our group between two tables because the server did not want to walk around one table and would rather go down the middle. Mind you this server was at most 15 years of age. What was impressive is he knew all the beers on tap and recommended a few drinks for us to try. He also brought out alcoholic beverages, which will be reported. After taking our food orders 3 double cheese burgers, 1 cheese burger, 2 pastrami sandwiches, 1 grilled chicken sandwich, 1 bowl of soup, 1 order of wings and 1 order of fried mushrooms we had to wait a total of 1 hour and 30 minutes. The soup wings and mushrooms came in at a speedy 45 minutes into our dining experience. We were not the only group waiting for food. The waiter told me they have a small kitchen and 1 hour wait times are to be expected. If you cannot serve your restaurant efficiently don't seat anyone, simply state we have longer wait times due to 1 person making 1 burger at a time. Incompetence is not an excuse. I informed the manager twice that this service was unacceptable, our children were hungry and she did not apologize nor did she care about the state of this restaurant. The food was overcooked, I could have went to home depot bought a grill, then gone to costco and bought burger patties, then gone to ralphs and bought buns and cheese cooked it myself it would have taken less time. This owner does not care about customers, food quality, employment laws or basic hygiene. Do not go into the restroom, nature is cleaner. If any of the staff is reading this review find another place to work, if you are thinking of eating here, don't. Find something else it isn't worth the headache. read more

Well... the back porch is amazing, the misters were very welcome as it was 106 when we got there in the late afternoon. The view of the river was beautiful too. Our bus person gave our dog a HUGE bowl of ice water, what a sweetheart! I had the black bean burger which was decent. Hubs had a bacon burger with cheese which he shared with the dog. Stopped at this grill on the way out of Sequoia and I'm very very happy about the experience! We sat outside in view of the nice river. I got the bacon swiss chicken sandwich, and I thought it was great---good flavor, texture, and juiciness. Best of all was the service, our server Callie was very attentive, friendly, and helpful! This place is just awful. Management does not know how to handle a simple waiting list. When we came in, we were completely ignored. When we finally got on a list, we waited and waited, although there were plenty of tables and workers unclear about what to do. The only one who seemed to know her job was the bartender. I got to observe a long time. It was absurd at just how bad it was. The manager was sitting and snacking, while the workers looked lost. We walked out when new people came in the door and were seated while the waiting people looked aghast. No, they didn't have reservations. Fast food quality level of food served at a place with a patio and misters by the river. Wait staff did not review options for sides and will assume you want fries. Grilled chicken was fatty. We went to River View Restaurant on Saturday, April 27. It was 7:45pm and we didn't have much of a choice because not much else was open around it, as we were staying at the Comfort Inn down the street. When we arrived the hostess first told us the wait would be 30 mins then quickly followed it up by saying it will be no more than 10 or 20 minutes. Having just done a 6 mile hike at Sequoia we figured this was a reasonable time to wait. 45 mins later our hostess called us to our table. We were already frustrated by the delay but figured it couldn't be more than 20 minutes before we ate. It took another 15 minutes for a waitress to show up to our table and after taking our drink orders she told us that she wasn't actually our waitress. It wasn't for another 15 minutes until we were forced to flag down another waitress and see if she would be willing to take our order. We ordered a burger and the NY steak (medium-well). It literally took 1 hour (this is not an over-exaggerated use of the word literally) for our food to arrive. The NY steak which was ordered as medium-well was cooked to medium rare at best. It had no flavor at all and was extremely salty. They forgot the steak knife and we had to ask for utensils an hour and half after sitting down. To be honest I wouldn't have fed the burger to my dog. The patty was clearly straight out of the freezer as it was gray, soggy and had that disgusting film of grease around it. It had no toppings or sauces and the cheese fell out of the burger. Absolutely flavorless. After the amount of activity that we went through that day we were starving, our expectations were extremely low ( due to the ratings left for this business), and to be honest anything more than mediocre would have been fine. That should tell you all you need to know about River View restaurant. This restaurant is a waste of the great location over looking the river. read more

The service at this place is horrible! My family and I came into town hoping for a nice dinner. We seated ourselves (which is no biggie). The restaurant was hardly busy, once we seated ourselves we sat for over 15min!!! I personally had to go up and grab menus for my family, in hopes they would get the hint...still nothing. Not even a "we'll be right with you" The views where great from the patio and the food looked good. But if no one is going to serve you what's the point... We waited over an hour and a half for food due to a printer problems I understand it was a holiday and that wasn't the issue, the issue was the way the manager spoke to me. She was very rude, condescending and defensive, there's a way to talk to be people if you want to run a good business and that wasn't it. Food was received cold and the server only checked on us once. Will not be returning ever. This place is filthy. Like sticky chairs and tables filthy. I arrived shortly after they opened, so it's not like they were busy and didn't have time to wipe down the tables. They OPENED filthy and I can only imagine that it gets more filthy throughout the day. I wish I'd left. I did eat there and even the basket my food was served in was dirty. Zero COVID precautions. No masks, and certainly no sanitizing as they don't even do basic cleaning. It's in a tourist town, I don't even want to imagine how this place has contributed to the spread of COVID, and they will be the first ones to whine if they get shut down again. read more

Today was Fathers Day and also the first day of summer, so we knew the restaurant would be busy, and we expected to have to wait for a while. Our party of four arrived at about 11:40 and put our name on the list. We got seated a few minutes after 1:00 at a perfect patio table overlooking the beautiful Kaweah river. Our server was very friendly answering questions and taking our order promptly. Our two burgers, BLT, and turkey sandwich came to us about 45 minutes later. The burgers were served on very good Kaiser rolls, with plenty of toppings piled on to rather thin patties. The sandwiches had a decent amount of meat and toppings as well. They were tasty, but nothing spectacular - we were quite hungry by then so it didn't matter! All in all, it was a beautiful setting on the river with friendly staff who never made us feel rushed. We'll go back again, I'm sure, but with low expectations and certainly not when we're really hungry. read more

My wife and I are here now. Wonderful staff! We're traveling with our 2 frenchies and could not feel more welcome! We are sitting at their beautiful patio right on the river: shaded. As we were leaving, there was a guy cooking bacon outside, with no light. Some how non of that bacon made it on my sandwich. If you are coming to sequoia, do yourself a favor and dine elsewhere. This is the worst restaurant i've ever been too. Absolutely none of the staff was wearing masks i did not see one person wipe down and sanitizer tables they just removed plates and sat other people, i was horrified and uncomfortable with the way they do not care about COVID-19, to top it off the staff was very rude the table next to me had a problem with there food and the waitress kept rolling her eyes as she walked away. Ok..My girlfriend Gayle recommended this place and of course I had to try...but for me it was meh. The location is amazing though!! If it wasnt for the view ..I would never come back. The passing of the water made my meal more appetizing if that makes any sense? The fried zucchini sticks were very yummy though..a must if you stop by. I do also like that the hamburger I ordered was not frozen. I ordered the Paul Bunyan, with blue cheese and they just slapped on the sauce, so it took me awhile to even reach it..lettuce, tomatoes, onion pickle..mayo comes in a packet with regular fries. The price was way too high for the quality of the burger..your better off going to fast food joint. Customer service was amazing, bathrooms not so much..the soap gets stuck. Will I be back?? Oh My God!! This place was one of the best parts of our trip to the Sequoia National Park! We were at Three Rivers for 2 nights and we went here both nights because it was so much fun. It is located at the Riverside and hence the name. From the pictures, I can say how beautiful the outdoors would look during the day but we were here after the sun went down. Live Music, Karaoke and all the dancing were amazing. Everyone at the bar was super friendly and nice to talk to. We all got the Jägerbomb and I never had one before. That was woo! Great! Gave an instant high and set a chill mood for the night. Tried couple other drinks too and they all were pretty decent. This is my forever stop whenever I'm in the Sequoia again! read more
