Nestled on the side of the road with its own parking lot, Tony's Taverna on Wheels is not to be missed for lunch or after a long day of exploring Sequoia National Park. They serve Greek classics like gyros, salads, hummus, and more. They also sell fish and chips, chicken sandwiches, and burgers. Staff is courteous and service is quick. There's a few picnic tables under trees for some shade, and restrooms are also available a few steps away. I had the Three Rivers Plate and it was just what I needed. It's came with a Greek salad (dressing is vinaigrette), homemade hummus, a warm and fluffy pita, and protein (I had lamb gyro but you can get it with chicken). The flavors were on point and portions were just right for the price. My companion had the gyro sandwich and it, too, was delicious. The only thing I'll warn about is that the Greek salad comes with lots of red onion. Not a big deal if you're headed back to your lodging for a quick break and can brush your teeth. :) Lastly, Tony's just opened a brick and mortar restaurant up the road. Their lunch menu seems to be the same/similar but the restaurant's menu is different than the food truck's.

Delicious fries This is one of the few well rated spots for food near Sequoia. It is a humble food truck with small tables sprinkled around it. I was surprised at the quality of their food. They make a mean gyro and gyro platter. Perfect after a long day on the trails. My fav was probably the fries tho - thick cut and crispy, while fluffy on the inside, akin to a potato wedge. Finished with some Parmesan and herbs.

I wish i was a short drive away from this truck because I would eat there everyday if I was. Tony's has one of the best ribeye salads I've ever had. So tender and salad is fresh crispy and delicious. There is plenty of parking, tables to eat at, a museum on the property you can go checkout while you wait for your order and the staff is so friendly. I can't wait to go back just to eat there haha

Delicious Greek food truck/pop-up on the side of the road! I was in town for the weekend on a trip to sequoia national park and we stopped here for dinner one night and it was delicious!! I had a gyro salad with some top notch (crispy on the outside and soft in the middle) fries. Service was friendly, and quick and efficient for cooking in such a small space inside the truck. They've setup a big picnic seating area with lights as well so a great place to come and hang (and play some cornhole while you wait) with family and friends. Just make sure you bring some mosquito repellent (for the park in general) if bugs love you.

Hands down, the BEST beef/lamb gyro I've ever had. Be sure to get the side of fresh hummus and pitas. We definitely want to come back to experience their restaurant, open Thursday - Sunday.

This place rocks! You are likely encountering it on your drive to/from Sequoia National Park, and it's placed on a road with other food trucks scattered around. Fear not, for this is the best one! The workers are so kind, the seating area ROCKS, and the food is incredible!!! I got a falafel salad and was floored by how good it was for having come out of a food truck! While you're here, the art store just across the road is not to be missed. Enjoy your visit at the parks!

Drove up from the city for fresh air activities and needed an easy dinner to take back to the cabin. My expectations were neutral, now I'm impressed. Not many places make actual chicken gyro-style, which was delicious on my very fresh and flavorful Greek salad! The pita bread was fantastic. I'm too sleepy to be clever. The shit was good, awesome first meal in Three Rivers, get you some, and goodnight.

This was a delicious dinner and very generous portions for the price. Fast service and they had a nice outdoor seating area. We had the Three Rivers plate and it was a great taste of everything!

Not bad under the shade trees with a nice breeze. Parking off the road is also a plus

I ordered an asada crunch wrap with red sauce from their secret menu and my husband ordered a spicy supreme asada burrito. Our taste buds were doing a happy dance from the combination of flavors. That's when we spotted El Bandido -- a bright food truck with picnic tables and a beautiful view of the foothills. We stopped for a quick bite and ended up with a full-on feast: carne asada, adobada, and shrimp tacos, plus a couple of sopes. Everything was incredible -- the meats were seasoned perfectly, especially the adobada with its deep, smoky flavor. The sopes were thick, crispy on the outside, soft inside, and loaded with toppings. But the star of the show? The shrimp taco!! Hands down my favorite. It came with crispy fried cheese on the inside of the taco, sweet corn, avocado, and this smoky, creamy chipotle sauce that brought everything together. It was rich, savory, a little sweet, a little spicy -- absolute flavor bomb. The setting made it even better -- orange groves nearby, mountain air, and open sky. It felt like one of those magical roadside food moments you never forget. If you're headed to or from Sequoia National Park, this place is a must-stop! Amazing food, lovely people, and a view that'll make you want to stay awhile!
