on march 17th 2026 took my vehicle for regular service at riverdale chrysler jeep. As a result they made the mistake of registering the mileage at 60,224 instead of the actual mileage 39,384 miles. After having to make more than 5 calls to the service department and taking the vehicle back nothing was done. After speaking to Mr. Nunez from the finance department the service manager Albert Pico very arrogantly a non business like called and decided to fix the problem. I'm not sure how this dealership managed to mess up the sale of a used truck, but they certainly did. I called on a Sunday about a truck I was interested in buying at the listed price. Someone took my information and assured me I would receive a call back. Come Monday, and nobody reaches out. I follow up with another call to the dealership, and again, someone takes my details, promising a callback. Still, no one gets in touch. On Tuesday, I call again to check on the status. After some effort, I finally reach a representative, Jacob, and we discuss the pricing. I asked that they email me the details, but no email comes through. Then Wednesday arrives, and I reach out yet again, only to discover that Jacob has now raised the price of the vehicle by almost $2000. Not sure who has time for these types of games. read more

the worst dealership experience our family owns a new grand Cherokee truck XL some issues with the power steering began recently about a month ago and we tried to get it serviced by the dealer as it's a new car there would be no reason for this to happen, I get the run around and was told to have it looked at by a mechanic we might know bc the diagnostic won't be covered by our warranty. Now I go do that and the mechanic advised me of a recall and it should absolutely be covered under warranty bc we purchased the additional wave warranty 1. Horrible experience with Sales Manager/Sales Team. They had a Dodge Durango listed on their website for $52K. Called and spoke to the salesperson, they confirmed the vehicle is on the lot and the only fees they charge are Tax, Title and Registration. Came down the next day, asked to see the total out the door price. The manager took 30 minutes to put the numbers together. When they came back they added Certification ($2,895) , Pre Del Insp ($2,218.86) and Processing ($695). The new price is now $57,808.86. See attached photo. Riverdale Chrysler has successfully provided me with the WORST car purchasing experience and servicing experience of all time, by far. Give me a few minutes of your time so I may share my horrifying story. It all began on November 21st 2022, when I was in search of a Jeep. My Sales Representative was Emmanuel Collado. A Wonderful Sales Representative, I might add, told me of his desire" to make the most money possible on each sale" and demonstrated this by placing several "Dealership Fees" which were clearly fictitious and which seemed to disappear instantaneously from the deal when I mentioned this fact. The purchasing process only got better, when after a long day of visiting several dealerships in the region, I was now exhausted, hungry and thirsty. I looked around the Showroom and saw no complimentary beverages or snacks and asked if there was a coffee machine, a cooler or a vending machine where I could purchase a bottle of water. It was at this point I was advised by my good friend Emmanuel, in true Bronx Fashion, that there was a Bodega in the vicinity of the Dealership and I could walk there for any refreshments I needed. Shortly after my return I was able to experience how Emmanuel would "make the most money possible" from THIS sale. Prior to receiving the Lease documents, Emmanuel and I had agreed, shook hands, gotten insurance, and paid the down payment on a lease agreement of 39 months. When I was ready to sign the lease agreement Emmanuel mentioned that there was a "slight miscommunication" between himself and the Sales Manager and the printed documents expressed 42 months instead of 39 months. Five days after my purchase, while driving the vehicle on the night of November 26th,2022, the Compass began malfunctioning. All warning lights on the dashboard illuminated and the car began to slow to a crawl eventually coming to a stop. On the morning of November 28th, 2022, I was assigned a Service Technician, Jordan Clarke, who stated he would keep me updated on the issue,I was given a loaner car, thankful, and waited to hear from the Service Department. On December 9th, 2022, The vehicle was returned to me and I was advised to take the vehicle back to the location immediately if the issue arose again. On the night of December 12th, 2022 while driving, the vehicle once again started experiencing the exact malfunction as stated above on November 26th, 2022. This time the vehicle came to a complete stop in the middle of the roadway, while I was en route to enter a highway. I was able to park it on the street nearby and had it towed to Riverdale Service Center. I filed a case with Jeep and was promised someone would call within 1-2 business days, sent an email to The Owner; Brian Dennis, The General Manager; Bobby Albert, Service Manager; Alberto Pico, Sales Manager; Shane Bacchas, and partners of the parent company; Rafael Castro and Bob Erickson. As of December 19th 2022, I HAVE NOT RECEIVED A REPLY FROM JEEP OR ANY PERSON LISTED ABOVE. December, 19th 2022 I was told the car was ready for pick-up. As stated above on November 26th, 2022 the car only had 200 miles. When the car was returned to me, it had 530 MILES ON THE ODOMETER. I had 200 miles on the odometer, when I handed it in. When the car was returned it had 530 miles. Quick Math! 530 miles minus 200 miles equals 330 miles. Within the span of a WEEKEND the service center added 330 miles to A LEASED VEHICLE. Within a MONTH of me owning this vehicle, had a terrible purchasing experience, brought the car in twice for repairs which progressively got worse the later which could have been fatal. The Service Center Reps have been in possession of this vehicle longer than I have, and also have driven the car for more than I have. Keep in mind, I am not dating anyone from this place. Also since I was returned the vehicle I am praying that it is in fact repaired and that this car isn't a death trap. I say all this to say that if you buy or service a car with Riverdale Chrysler and be left out of pocket and/or stuck on the road. read more

Called about a 2017 Rav 4 XLE. Called TWICE to confirm the car was there on different dates, and was assured it would be there for a test drive by Genesis (lady who picked up the phone). I drive over 1.5 hours just for the car to not be there. The best part? They tried to run around like they were looking for the keys and couldn't find them the whole time! Kept me there for 20 minutes through this ridiculously terrible charade of looking for the keys, only for Derrick (salesman) tell me "sometimes cars get sold and arent updated in the system immediately" as if every shady dealership doesnt pull this same stunt. Pretend for a second that they were actually sincere, that they are so incompetent that they not only FORGET that they sold the car, but that they are INCAPABLE of deleting a listing. I'll start with three words. SCAM, SCAM, SCAM. I was searching cars.com and found a listing at Riverdale Chrysler Jeep Dodge for a 2017 Compass well priced with low mileage (see photo of listing). I filled out the form and received a call from "Britney" to schedule an appointment. Before doing so, I went over the details of the car with her, the mileage, the vin number, etc. She told me the the car was there and asked when I could come in to test drive it. We made an appointment for later in the day at 6:45pm. My wife and I drove 40 minutes to get there. When we arrived no one seemed to know who "Britney" was but we were put with a salesperson and told her which car we were interested in and showed her the car on cars.com. She leaves to talk to the manager and comes back and says "I have good news, the car will be here in a few days but while you are here now let me show you what we do have". It's like a line from the worst movie about car sales ever. I sort of felt sorry for the poor sales girl who knows they're scamming to get you in the door and was trained to say just those words by the management team. So we get up to leave and as we are walking away she actually grabs me by the shoulder to try to keep us in the store. "Wait, please let me have my manager talk to you". There's that movie again. As an aside, the place is so filthy you can't touch anything and as we are in the middle of the Covid pandemic, almost nobody was wearing a mask. The manager wasn't, the sales people weren't and while our salesperson did wear one I can only assume it was because my wife and I were. In summation...if you feel like amusing yourself by being the star of a car sales movie from hell go visit them and have some fun. Waste their time like they do yours. They lie about getting low insurance rates, make you pay a fee for it and it's because they are using a zip code from upstate. Then when you leave the dealership the insurance call asking to verify the zip code and you can't because you have no idea that was done or any way to prove the zip code on file. It's a scam! The only reason this is not zero stars is because the review system will not allow it. I test drove my used truck before buying it, and I didn't have the radio on in order to listen for any rattles or squeaks - and they didn't tell me the radio didn't work. Even worse, when I got it home and had my mechanic look at it, he found warped brake calipers, bearings failing in the rear differential and a leaking exhaust manifold. They didn't even change the oil on this truck before selling it to me, it had only 30% left on the oils life. Honestly all of this would have been tolerable and fixable, but their managers are horrible. They dodged my calls, put me on hold for 30 or more minutes only to hang up on me, and flat out lied to me about how I had to wait for the titles to arrive at the bank before I could return the truck. One of their managers even started yelling at me over the phone. Save yourself inconceivable amounts of frustration and never, ever set foot in their showroom, and whatever you do, do not trust them. read more

I had so many issues with the car I got from here. I traded in a honda for a 2022 jeep compass trailhawk. it was the last compass on the lot. Within the first week of having the car i was having issues with the stop and start on the car. I took it back to the dealership to let them know about the issue because that is a saftey hazard. I would be stopped at a red light and when I would try to drive, I wouldnt be able to and the emergency brake will come on and I would have to put the car in park, turn the car off and re start it. Then turn the emergency brake off then put the car in drive then continue to drive. I was laughed at and was told there is nothing wrong with the car and took it to the service center where I got the same response but it is still happening till this day. Within two and a half years my car has been in the shop four times. Both bateries has died in the car within one and half years of having it. The service center then told me I had also had bad gas in my car when I never had issues with that before and they proceeded to fix it. Now i have issues with the gas gauge so the car will shut off as if it has no gas but the dash board would say I have a half a quarter left. There is no reason that this car should have so much problems when it is a new lease and only had two and a half years of use of it. They charge such high prices and dont take your concerns seriously and it just seems like they just care about money. I regret my purpose and had to come out of pocket thousands of dollars for a new car that should not have all these issue. I was sold a lemon. read more
