I have gotten lower estimates but I think I rather pay a little more knowing I'm in good hands and I think everyone can agree with that. Now, the staff was very welcoming and very nice so I was talking to the staff about lowering my car and doing other repairs in the future and they basically told me that I shouldn't and that a lot of mechanics will turn away modified cars due to their geometry and needing a special lift.. but I am still going to haha, I'm a little stubborn so hopefully they will still service my car in the future and be my permanent mechanic going forward! So, a few months ago my wife was driving the car and the check engine light came on. She was on her way home and called me so I said, stop there. They had always been nice. Days went by, we paid $1500 for new cylinders and they still didn't fix the issue. During that visit I kept getting notifications on my phone that my battery was low. I kept asking them what was going on. Finally, they gave up, told me to come get the car, and I realized they had left the lights on all of that time, which is why I kept getting the alerts. Took the car (Mercedes) to the dealership - fixed in one day at zero cost. Riverdale Auto Clinic FAILED to accurately diagnose the issue, and charged me $1500 for it. Wait, it gets better. This week the battery needed to be replaced (I wonder why). Once again, my wife was driving the car, stopped in. They replaced the battery, thanks, I suppose. I guess they thought they were being nice by washing the car but LOST THE FRONT PASSENGER floor mat. How does that even happen? So, now I'm buying new mats because they are giving us the run around and not doing what is the right thing to do and replacing what they took out of my car, without asking, and lost it. I will NEVER go back there and highly recommend NO ONE go there.

This shop did not provide any supporting technical data (OBD-II codes or test results) to justify this cost. When I stated I would not be proceeding with repairs there because the "Engine" diagnosis did not coincide with my prior AAA report (which clearly showed a charging system failure with low voltage), the staff was visibly unhappy and unprofessional about my decision to take my vehicle elsewhere. The true issue, confirmed by a second independent mechanic, was a straightforward failure of the alternator and battery. This shop incorrectly diagnosed a serious "Engine" issue when the problem was clearly the charging system. I lost $189.50 and valuable time due to this vague diagnosis and poor service. They told me I needed a brand new engine and tried to charge me $3,995.00. In conclusion it was my alternator and battery that needed changing. Which only cost me $795.00. Avoid this place if you can.

I remembered Charlie on Maclean Ave. He was extremely helpful ordering the handle right in front of me and called me a few days later when it arrived. Installed it and called me back in a few hours later. Excellent customer service and extremely courteous and polite service representatives.
