Everyone there was super friendly and helpful. One thing, feedback wise, is maybe to put a door before the hallway where the rooms are. The voices echo in the lobby and we could hear them all the way down the hallway. A little thing, but we noticed it. We would definitely stay here again, it was delightful and a great find!!

The owner emailed us within 10 minutes of reserving online letting us know they would have a room ready. We were again greeted by the owner at check-in, and she could not have been more genuinely friendly. Our room was very clean, and the price was great. If you're in the area, shop local and don't stay in one of the chain hotels. Places like this deserve business.

Unfortunately, the hot tub was drained and off limits due to Covid-19, but the pool was open. We would definitely stay here again. My only concern is there were very few people wearing masks, from the employees to the people coming in off of the street to dine in. For that reason, and also, when we walked through the lobby this afternoon, it smelled like someone was smoking in the lobby. Not cool!

Each time marked improvements from the last visit…read more The owner who has checked me in each time I visit is quite friendly and informative on things to do and the best restaurants in the area. My room this time had new furniture including the bed. I was also impressed with the pillows that were bigger than pillows in other Northwoods motels and cabins I've been to. While the bathroom as been remodeled the shower itself was a bit old. Almost like old concrete. The bathroom I had last time had a new shower. Seems the owner is working though improvements unit by unit. He was painting one unit on my last visit. I wasn't sure to give four or five stars because of the shower being old but many rooms seem complete and the owner has such passion for every inch of the place that I went with five.
