This resort slash RV park is a hidden gem for people that want a quick RV getaway right in their own backyard. The RV spots are well maintained and have good views looking south and west from the more desirable sites. Evening sunsets are particularly nice looking toward the coastal range. My uncle and dad post up here with friends with the main agenda of eating great food and the mandatory beverage of choice. We came here for an overnight stop on our way to South Oregon. We checked in around 1 AM, and found information about our spot on the window at the office. We backed into our spot, and hooked up our water and electric. This particular RV Park didn't have sewer hook ups. Since we only stayed a night, the next day on our way out, there is a dump station that the park provides. Each spot comes with a leveled concrete pad, patches of grass and a picnic table. We were right by the river, and waking up in the morning, the views were gorgeous. I saw boaters and jet skis passing by. We travel with our fur babies, and there are areas designated for your fur babies. A nice trail to walk them, but it isn't enclosed so it is advised to keep them on a leash. I also noticed there are storage garages. They also offer spots for boats in their marina. I was surprised by the greenery. It is gated and felt very safe- the local sheriff's station is located inside the rv park. read more

The sites have water views, although the ones in the back you can still the water see the water and pay a little less. This place was awesome. I can't wait to come back here again. Checking was easy. Nice little RV park gem in Stockton of all places. It's butted up on the San Joaquin River, we had site 22 so had a the River view from our RV door. Was a tight site to get into but worked. Bathrooms are super clean and Sherriff's office is on site so no riff raff and it's gated so felt safe. It's a community dump site so heads up. I'll be back here. read more

So my twin boys and I just acquired a nice little 16' Bambi Airstream for some homeschool travels. Unfortunately the air quality in the Bay Area has been horrible and we aren't quite equipped for a long cross country trip yet and wanted something nearby we could see how we fared with electrical and water hookups, use the features of our new little trailer and enjoy a night away (but not too far). This was such the perfect place! Our complaint was the air quality was just as bad as home, but things change daily and I booked a week out and figured we would stay inside if need be. We really wanted to test hooking up our trailer and driving somewhere, and then trying to set up. I remember camping in our Starcraft pop up as a kid and don't ever remember people just being so helpful, both people that work at the campground or other campers. I suppose I didn't really pay attention. I'd heard great things about this place and it's only about a 50 min drive for us so it was perfect. I was confused driving in if I should stop in the office and check in or follow what I read online and call. I'm sure either would have worked. I popped in the office to make sure we were in the right place and also check how many people line up for the sewer dump at morning check out since we didn't have at the site. There were only 3 checking out so that alleviated some stress and check in was super easy. There was only one gal greeting and checking in and she was wearing a mask during COVID. Thank you for making this such a positive experience for total newbies!! We followed the map to our site and was super happy to see nobody in the adjacent spaces. We were the tiniest little camper with huge RV'rs all around. Kind of intimidating. We loved that our site backed up right to the water. One kind veteran RV'r helped me with backing into the spot which was so very helpful - his cues helped me even once we got home. Another helpful RV'r came across the nice grassy area to make sure we used our chalks as we were hoping to level our trailer without unhooking from our truck for one night. As fate would have it, we needed to unhook to level here even though it is a paved pad. We came for practice right? So, we were happy others were looking our for us but then my boys became nervous to do everything perfect with an audience LOL Ok, so we did watch the movie RV and didn't want to be like "That".. Thankful for these kind "neighbors". RV'ing kind of reminds me of flying into unfamiliar airports with friendly pilots. The hook ups were easy, the view was amazing. We saw some others fishing from their sites and we will do that next time too. We were surprised to see many just sitting outside with "purple" air quality so we stuck indoors. However, this was a great first RV trip for us. We will come back on nice blue sky days to enjoy more folks on the water. FYI our dog has a lot of anxiety around other dogs and though spaces were close, we experienced considerate neighbors only one off leash dog in the neighboring grass that was leashed as we approached. Wonderful views, superb management and helpful staff (even helped with our sewer dump when I thought I didn't hook up a hose correct - but all was good). Wish I could give 5+ stars. Absolutely always have a great relaxing time when I'm here at RIVER POINT! The staff is wonderful and I love that they have 24hr. Security Service. The property is kept clean and I enjoy sitting out on the park benches watching boaters, skiers, etc... go by. We have stayed in several different sites along the water but we stayed in site 22 this time - I was worried about being next to the walk path but it was wonderful the view we perfect, the large lawn area behind us, and the picnic area was larger which was nice. So far my favorite spot. Thank you River Point for having a great place close to home to come too and enjoy! read more

If I could give negative stars to this place, I would. We tried to camp here after reserving our spot months prior. We arrived and someone else was parked in our spot, with no tow vehicle in sight. The front desk asked if we wouldn't mind parking in the spot right next to it, as "they are similar". We said no, as we booked spot #1. Parking in spot #2 would not give us the unobstructed view of the water, it would give us a view of the side of the trailer of the people in our spot. Front desk called the guy who couldnt read to tell the difference between a "1" and a "2" and he was irritated that he had to move. He was apparently a "local" and goes there alot. So guess what, he decided he wasn't going to move and the front desk "owner" (who we confirmed was NOT the owner but just the manager), decided that because that guy was a regular, he'd rather make US leave. Not only is that horrible customer service but the entire way they handled this "dispute" was ridiculous. We tried to give Stockton a try but if the managers AND the "locals" have the same mindset and are just a&&holes, we are better off spending our money elsewhere. I would never recommend this place and I've already started sharing the experience to others who have the same mindset as I do. read more

This is our second time camping here and we are already talking about when we will come again. Normally we don't like staying at privately owned campgrounds but this one is an exception. First of all, it is in a surprisingly beautiful riverfront location; so interesting to watch the ships, rowing shells, and kayakers go by. secondly, the showers and bathrooms are meticulously maintained, there there is a laundry. Finally, the Wi-Fi is strong and included in the price. We live in San Diego and it is a great "last stop" that we look forward to before our final leg home. read more

What a great find! We needed a place to stay near the Stockton 99 speedway and decided to try this out. Came with another friend and ended up in the 2 best spots that backed up to the grassy knoll and had great views of delta. Our dogs had a ball frolicking on the grass. We had a great time watching the speed boats, cargo boats and party boats go by. Booked another trip for the end of October. Definitely worth checking out. Only drawback is no dump hookups, but they do have a dump site as you exit. Restaurants close by was a plus. read more

Came in for 1 night on our way to Northern California. Booked river site #18. W/E. No sewer. Park is at the end of a road that goes through a town park. Nice are of Stockton. Gated Rv park. We arrived just after 6 pm as the office was closed. Sites weren't that tight with room for 30 ft Rv and out toad. River/canal was nice at sunset. Park was quiet and what we needed. Showers and rest rooms are shared with the marina which were clean. Several long term down the end of the park. Park was 3.5 out of 5. Not bad for the night. read more

So this year, I decided to give fishing another chance. I bought an annual license, so wish me luck! I hope to catch any fish, but hopefully a big fish! I've been to this place before and it's gorgeous. I love being one with nature. It's pretty clean and has decent bathrooms (of course its all public, so don't expect to find a super clean bathroom). oh, the sunset is beautiful! I have yet to take any photos because I've been enjoying the moment too much and by then its too late to take a photo. You should definitely check out this place. read more

Only stayed 1 night but have nothing to complain about. We didn't have a sewer hookup but obviously not a problem only staying one night. RV park is tucked against the river between a city park and private marina. The rv park was clean and organized. We had site 11 right on the water in fact with our big windows in the back of our rv it literally looked like we were parked over the water. Dog waste stations everywhere, big grassy area with benches overlooking the water. Would def recommend and stay here again for a short trip. If you have dogs and or kids a spot on the water near the grassy area would be ideal. read more

Our first stay at Riverpoint landing RV resort snd marina. We were not disappointed. The water front sites are awesome!! (We liked #1, #6 best then 14-21 and then 2-11). We stayed in #32 which was quiet and st the end. We had no neighbors in dace it wS 3/4 full in Sept. The view is really on the west side). We loved our spot but it was shorter so we had to unhook. (which we would have done anyway). Sites 22-30 also get partial views of the waterway so are nice too. Buckley Cove is private with a locked gate at night so we felt safe at all times. Friendly staff. Water/elec only. Short drive (12 min) to Lodi. We Recommend it. read more

Love watching the activities on the deep water channel, friendly and helpful camping neighbors. Very nice showers, laundry room and convenient dog park. Love having the Wi-Fi, but my favorite amenity...THE WEEKLY PUMP OUT SERVICE The $15 per week price is well worth it to me. (I'm 74) Restaurants and shopping are close by and easy to get to. Happened upon this place when we left Northern CA early because of the smoke. It's awesome! Our Airstream looked out over the San Joaquin River with tugboats and ocean liners navigating this fairly narrow space! Just lovely. Looks like a nice place. Went to make a reservation and they told me my motorhome was too old and did not meet their standards. Never heard of such a thing my motorhome is old but it is clean and does not have any broken parts or dents in it whatsoever. Not everybody can afford a new motorhome so if you have an older motorhome check with them before you make a reservation. read more

We always love camping here and have several times in the past couple years. We booked Labor day weekend 6 months ahead of time. We got ill and called to let them know so they could rebook out spot. Well evidently they were able to rebook our reserved spot in minutes (the couple we were suppose to camp with let us know that within the hour of our cancelling they rebooked our spot.) I didn't expect a full refund, but since they now got paid holiday rate two times I hoped that they would offer at least a partial or a credit for another night or two. Nope. And just like another person said the people there are just managers, so they have to wait and contact and owner somewhere, and I guess they don't care. read more

We called mid afternoon and they fit us in. They were friendly and nice but after we were checked in the next day we realized it is not all it is cracked up to be. 1) Charged $46/night for a 50 amp spot and we only needed 30. The spot that was empty directly next to us was a 30 amp. She did ask us if we wanted to switch.... but picking up and moving a trailer and resetting up is not an easy task. 2) Had "squatters" next to us and kept us up late!!!!! She said they were looking into it. She already knew about it!!! Nothing for our inconvenience. 3) Our spot faces directly into the sun. All but one other spot has shade and still we paid top dollar because of #1 (50 amp spot). 4) they have no waste line - you must take your trailer or MH to the dumpsite. (see #1 about moving trailer). And again they charge top dollar. Except for a couple of spaces this is one big parking lot for your boat. What would have made us happy? Just being credited the difference ($9/night) for the two nights and we would have increased our stay a night or two at the 30 amp price. I feel like this woman saw an opportunity to rip off two old people and did so. read more

We just discovered this RV camping spot and have already stayed a couple of times. It's rare that you can find a camping spot with electric hook-ups that you can fish from camp. Even if you aren't inclined to fish, there's always something interesting happening on the water and will provides hours of entertainment. Very clean and nice place to stay. Close to pretty much anywhere you want to go. Campsites are a little cramped and there is no sewage hookup at the full hookup sites which wasn't all that bad. They do have a dump station for when you pull out. They also offer a service on Thursday's to come and clear your tanks onsite for a fee. There is a growing trend of rvers bringing what seems like a pack of chihuahuas which barked at my every move. The rules are no more than 2 dogs. I was sandwiched between people who had 3-5 small dogs. They also allow rvers to park facing the river which is great for them but not so great for those in travel trailers. This causes you to lose any privacy as their doors will be opening in the same direction as yours. Management was very understanding of this issue and provided a refund. This place has a lot of potential to be great. read more
