The ribs were baked, not smoked. The could have gotten better mac n cheese at the deli counter at Walmart. Not to mention the upcharge for it. From the outside it may appear as just a run down townie bar, but alas you walk in and immediately you're about to have some banging bbq. Being from the Midwest but now living in TX, I miss BBQ from home! This place make me feel like I was back in WI eating great food! My cousin & I shared The Feast for Two and was so much food we had leftovers. The brisket was tender and moist; the chicken was smoky and juicy and the ribs were meaty and very flavorful. Next were the Tito's Dirty Martinis that Brittany made for us. OMG.... she put her whole foot in those drinks (meaning she made them perfectly and they were delicious! Lol!!). The sound of the Blues playing in the background made for a fun, friendly and inviting atmosphere. Can't say if I'll ever be in Quincy IL again but if I do... Burger was awesome. Make sure to read menu carefully as there are up charges for some of the sides that are not highlighted or noticeable. Ps curly fries is one of them. Staff interactions were LESS than satisfactory. Waitress accidentally spilled a drink, which understandable, but she watched us clean it up. There is was no hospitality. Also was told by staff , 'no offense but it is not the waitresses obligation to tell people about the upcharge' which is true but it is a rather Common and well practiced COURTESY of most businesses. A wonderful stop on a road trip! I stopped here on a motorcycle trip right as places were starting to open after Covid, and this place was in the parking lot of my motel, as had opened the patio up. I had the BBQ combo, and let me tell you as a Texan, these guys know their BBQ! The ribs fell right off of the bone and melted in my mouth! (Plus a full selection of BBQ sauces!) Went for dinner. Had pulled pork sandwich with potato wedges. Pork had sauce already on it. Tasted like it had been prepared the day before and sat in a crockpot cooking for over a day. It was not the bark produced by smoking the meat. To be honest, I couldn't detect a smoke flavor or smell. The waitress was great and actually was the general manager filling in for workers that thought they may have been exposed to Covid-19. So maybe blame the food quality on that. Had an early dinner on May 6 waitress was friendly took our order for where appetizers came back. Five minutes later asked if we knew what we wanted for dinner we did. Told her what we wanted, and all of our food arrived within five minutes of appetizers and main meal. Ended up taking most of our dinner home felt very rushed and for no reason the place wasn't that full. May give it a try again, but there's just a lot of good restaurants in Quincy will probably try first. read more

I got the BBQ blowout and it was real good. Lots of food that was well priced, and the food was great too. The meats were not super tender, but the flavor made up for it. Our bartender absolutely made this night fun and enjoyable from the start. It was Friday night and they were very busy. He quickly got us some drinks started along with an app. This was great as my 8 yr old son was getting "hangry" from a long car ride into town and some shopping that we had done. Beer selection was average, not too much. Not too little. But ice cold and paired great with BBQ menu. We ordered a variety of items from the catfish, 8 oz steak, ribs, and the aloha burger. Every single item was GREAT. seasoned well. Served hot. Other than the fried fish which was crispy the meat was tender and juicy. It's rare that 4 people can sit at a table and everyone rave about how great their food is but Riverside Delivered. Their Mac and cheese and collard greens were also delicious. I travel quite a bit and whenever I can, I like to try different BBQ places. First, let me say, the servers were nice and the service was adequate. The place had a typical "saloon" type look and I chose to sit in the bar area. I ordered a 1/2 slab of baby-back ribs with a side of green beans and caesar salad; there was corn on the cob that came free with the meal and a muffin (passed on the muffin). Here goes... the KC Masterpiece BBQ beef jerky that I bought a week ago that sat opened in my backpack was more BBQ than this place. The caesar salad was wilty and the dressing was sour. I didn't finish it. And the pork ribs were so tough that my steak knife barely cut through the meat to separate it from the bones. The BBQ sauce on it was an upgraded ketchup. I put another once of their sauces on the ribs called "hot and spicy". Let me tell you, it was neither hot nor spicy but the best out of all the other sauce offerings. As for the green beans, they were bland. I had more flavor biting into a cardboard box and the corn had more husks in it still that I don't have to floss tonight after brushing my teeth. I'll just pull the husk-hair out of my teeth and that should do the trick. And the service... again, it was adequate but they had me out of that place so fast that when I finished my meal, the bartender/waitress was printing my check out as soon as she saw me put my plate aside. No "anything else, sir?" "any desert, sir?". Just an "okay, here you go". Rang me up and to be fair to her, thanked me. I left 20% only because I served before and know how hard their jobs are but, honestly, she didn't deserve it. It seems as if they wanted me out so fast. Maybe because I was the only Asian in the place? I know that may be unfair for me to say, but I can't help but feel that way because that was the atmosphere they set when I came in. So now I am on the toilet at the Hampton Inn on my third flush regretting I didn't bring my tablet of tums. Thank God for laptops. Ok so I ordered from here at 4:20 pm $55 worth of food for me and 4 other coworkers and they tell me it'll be 45 minutes, great. One hour and 15 minutes later the food has arrived, and they messed up my order. I call back to ask them to pick up only my order and just refund me that amount, as I didn't want to wait another hour plus for my new food to be brought to me. So I don't hear anything for over an hour and I call them back. The manager tells me they are taking care of it, cool. Some more time passes so I call back and the manager won't even get on the phone with me, and a lady tells me the owner is taking care of it so she got my name and number for him to call me back. Another hour and some change goes by and still nothing. I called back one more time to be told that the owner is going to fix it for me in the morning. At 9 am, I work 3:30 pm - 2:00 am, so 9 am comes pretty early for me Also they sell wings in orders of 6 or 12 for 8.99 or 12.99 respectively, so I asked for an order of 12 but with 2 sauces and they told me I'd have to pay 8.99 twice because of how they prep the wings, and I even had the manager tell me they prep them in bags of 6 so they grab 2 bags when someone orders 12. I got no answer when I asked why they couldn't just grab one bag of each for the 12.99. Honestly, the other end of the phone was silent, so I guess they just want to be petty. read more

I ended up paying $34.00 . It was pathetic. This place is a hole in the wall. Quite nasty and dirty if you ever set place inside of it. We had the absolute best experience from start to finish! Jamie was amazing to work with setting up our son's rehearsal dinner. With covid, we had to have the meal outside- the forecast was not good, but Brittany made sure our outdoor area had extra protection from the wind and rain. The food was excellent!!! We even added dessert the day of and we are sooo glad we did!!! The brisket and pulled pork was so tender. The corn muffins just melt in your mouth. The smoked Mac and cheese- OH MY!!! Hadn't been to Riverside for a while based on previously bad experiences, so after another awful experience last night I thought it was worth posting. When we walked in the waiting area chairs were occupied with floor mats so no one could sit. Walking to our table our shoes were actually sticking to the floor. Several tables hadn't been cleared, and one table had peanut shells all over and the floor was completely covered. We placed our drink order and waited quite a while for the drinks to arrive. Then we placed the food order. When the appetizers arrived they didn't have real silverware so they had to bring us plastic silverware which was so flimsy you couldn't hardly use it. When our food did come it was rough. All of the meat was overcooked and the sauce on the meat was so sweet that it was very difficult to eat and harder to enjoy. We finally got real silverware by asking a third time. It also took asking several times to get all the sides or meals to be delivered to the table. The staff seems completely unprepared for the crowd. When we left, a few of the tables had yet to be cleared. The table covered in peanuts was cleared but floor was still covered in shells and they seated another family there. The floor also had napkins, silverware, and other trash all over it and no one seemed to care. Overall, it was a very bad experience.
