I drove to the riverside hotel to meet my nephew , who was in town. He is with jetblue , and another flight attendant joined us. I had a couple iced teas and my nephew and sophia had lunches that looked delicious , a cobb salad and a chicken sandwich. The hotel is decorated beautifully for the holidays and they are lucky that jetblue puts them in such a nice hotel! And we had great service at our table outside. It was a beautiful day.It still is a beautiful day!

Top tier mf hotel! Has everything you need, near everything you may have forgotten, and some things you'd want to try! We stay here on layovers, and this is probably the first time I took advantage of this place. The rooms are immaculate, with extra amenities like the best smelling body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. Gold fixtures throughout the bathroom, wood floors that look clean enough to eat off of, and marble flooring on every floor. The views are absolutely impressive! You can see downtown, the river, the ocean, and all shopping. At night, the city lights up in such a way that makes sleeping with the curtains open necessary. There is a restaurant on site that has happy hour and really great drinks. With a bar in the lobby, ample seating inside and outside, you can relax before even reaching your room. I especially enjoy the fact that there is a convenient store located on the property, just in case you forget something (a razor for me), with reasonable prices. The pool is located across the street, with spectacular views of the river and all the boats going by, and The Fitness District is the private gym included with your stay. I can't speak highly enough about this wonderful place!

I was taking a 20-day cruise on the Crystal Serenity and, as is my custom, I fly in at least a day early to ensure I make embarkation on time. After flying 15+ hours (HNL to LAX to ATL to FFL), plus the taxi ride, I needed to check-in, shower and relax. My friend recommended Riverside due to its location and I booked a Junior Suite. The hotel was built in 1936 and is rated 3 stars. Check-in was fine and I was given a room on one of the upper floors in the original wing, looking West. The room was largish, as are rooms in older hotels, with a small closet, a sofa, table, desk with coffee maker and a king bed. The bathroom was fine with a tub. What did I miss? There wasn't a shower wand, and the toilet was just a standard unit. I'm spoiled by my Toto at home. I went outside onto the balcony and looked at the river to my left and Las Olas Blvd to my right. All and all, a much nicer room than I expected, given the hotel's 3-star rating. Call me pleasantly surprised. I walked around to familiarize myself with the hotel, finding the bar, Wild Sea restaurant, a small sundries store and a clothing store located next door but with an entrance from the hotel. There are two ballrooms and a large patio on the 9th floor. The one place that showed the hotel's age was its elevators. There were only two, relatively small ones servicing the wing I was in. When I checked in at 6pm, there was a long line of people waiting to go up to the ballrooms. My friend was spot on about the location. I walked up and down Las Olas Blvd and found a myriad of shops, coffee places and restaurants. It's a very pleasant area with a mix of commercial and residential. The New River winds behind the hotel and one can walk along the river. Upon disembarkation from the Serenity 21 days later, I caught a taxi and found myself back at the Riverside for one night before returning home to Hawaii. My Junior Suite was on a lower floor than my first visit and there wasn't a balcony, nor were there nice views. I didn't care, I was there only because one can't fly to Hawaii after 10am. This second room was identical to the first except for the lack of a balcony. What did I think? I loved the location and the rooms were fine. If I return to Fort Lauderdale, I will definitely consider the Riverside for accommodations ... Recommended!

The only hotel on Las Olas strip in East Fort Lauderdale. I have stayed at this location several times. Its an old building with a relaxed feel. Very tiny slow elevators. Great weekday rates for the hotel online for about $189.00. In the morning, I have breakfast on the outside patio restaurant. For happy hour we would get appetizers and cocktails at the bar behind the hotel on the water with amazing views of yachts coasting by. It will get slammed on the weekends so suggest a weekday to eat and drink. The nightlife is fabulous with tons of bars and restaurants up and down the strip. Most of the stores close by 9pm but some bars are open late.

We had a Junior suite facing the new river on the 12th floor. Our view was fantastic. The room was spacious and newly remodeled and furnished. Everything was excellent. The Riverside Hotel has multiple ventures for food and beverage. We especially like the Boat House for lunch. It is open air dining on the new river. We will stay there again.

We had a great experience, the hotel is located right on Las Olas blvd, a Florida night spot with plenty of daytime shopping and eateries. Our visit was hampered by rain and wind which cancelled the Christmas winter boat parade, but we were able to make to best of our weekend with plenty of romantic places, a short distance from the beach. The hotel has been there for decades yet it looked clean and like a time capsule preserving the art and time of its origin, a historic hotel provided a look back into area history while looking like new. The rooms were reasonably prices considering we booked for a high volume weekend, our only complaint was the cost of parking. It ranged from 25-45 per night, so factor that in in the cost. Have fun and enjoy. I hope this helps your decision.

Nice hotel in a great location on Las Olas Blvd along the riverwalk. Taking away one point because the shower head had very low pressure.

Everything was fantastic except wish the shower was a bit larger and there was no clothes line to hang bathing suits. Queen beds were nice and soft and what a view! It was heated for my January visit and ate lunch there too. Nothing to write home about and is $, but can you expect from a resort. The beach was across the street and as part of your resort fee, it includes two loungers and umbrella. Score! Unlike other resorts that you have to pay (like Marriott Harbor Beach). Wish had more time to enjoy the beach, but went right back up to the pool. Main breakfast restaurant doesn't offer buffet so it's Ala carte menu and it sure did take some time to get our food. It was good but pricey. They have a market at the lobby, so that's a good alternative. The uber from port to here wasn't cheap though same with going to airport, but highly recommend for those seeking a nice resort vibe with oceanfront views and beach access.

We arrived around 9 am after our cruise, and our assigned upgraded room (suite) was not ready. The front desk receptionist, Dominique, was most helpful and gave us 5 star service in looking for a room with a balcony that was available for us. She found one and upgraded us to an ocean front. It was truly the BEST ocean front room we have ever had in Ft Lauderdale and Miami. I would have loved to stay longer just to enjoy the view more. We had a mini-suite, versus the regular suite which would not have had the balcony. Room 1715. Big shower, comfortable sitting chair, large balcony with cushioned chairs and table, Lavazza coffee, ironing board. We were so close, we could hear the ocean waves. Pool was fine. Hot tub. By the pool were cushioned lounge chairs and umbrellas, but some of the cushions were flat. A pool attendant said new cushions were on order for next year, so it would be better. A shout-out to the pool attendant who dragged over a different chair with a cushion that had some cushion left in it for me. She was genuinely nice. There was also a separate section of chairs facing a wall closer to the bathroom, so if it was crowded, you would still be able to get a chair but not with a cushion. I liked the fitted towel covers they put over the chairs. It was chilly and windy when we were there, so I asked for an extra chair cover to use as a blanket. Periodically, the attendants came by with chilled water, frozen fruit. The pool-side service was excellent. Different servers may come by asking if you need anything or to pick up your dishes, since they work as a team. The hamburger and fries was delicious ($35). Chicken tenders were pretty good. The alcohol drinks were $20. I liked the non-alcoholic mango daiquiri. ' I highly recommend making reservations at Takata, Japanese restaurant at the hotel. It got packed later and everything was absolutely delicious - one of the best dinners in Ft Lauderdale we have had in over 20 years. It is also open for breakfast. I had the avocado toast which was okay. Down the street in the shopping center is a CVS. We have stayed in a number of Ft Lauderdale hotels over the years for a cruise. The outstanding service from Dominique at the front desk to the pool attendants and servers, the Takata server all were phenomenal. The room was incredible and we appreciated the generous supply of Lavazza coffee and microwave.
