I've been here a few times and I always find their pricing to be the lowest in town. They have a great selection of wines and whiskeys.

I'm always less than impressed when I come here. The selection is ok at best. The staff is terrible at best. Seems like everyone there is there for a chill session and not to work. Today I was "helped" by a fellow with piercings in his face. He didn't look at me and barely spoke, but kept scrolling Instagram or Facebook while leaning over the counter. Quietly laughing at the videos while he rang me up. Beyond rude and unprofessional. Owner, Check the cameras 2005ish on 8-24-23. You can tell these people truly hate their jobs. Not sure if it's the staff or management, but it's trash. I guess good help and quality service is a thing of the past. This place is a last last resort for me. The employees really ruin it. I recently moved to the Walkersville area and I have nothing but good things to say about Riverside Liquors. First, their selection is way bigger than I thought it would be. They have everything from typical domestic beers to some of the more high-end craft beers to some of the local beers to the Frederick area.They also have a pretty large wine selection and a few aisles of champage as well. Secondly, everything is very affordable. One of my favorite craft beers is Kona brand and I was surpried to find a variety pack for only ~$12, when they usually cost upwards of $15. Finally, the customer service has always been spot on. The staff are friendly, helpful, and laid back. Even though there is a liquor store right across the street from my house, I always make the slightly longer trip to Riverside for quality service and selection. read more

When I lived in Frederick this was my go-to beer, liquor, and wine store. They have a great variety of all spirits - even mircobrews from all over the world. This is a family owned establishment so they always have the same people working there...which I love because they recognize me and treat me very well because I was a repeat customer. The only feedback, is that they close at 10 pm when some of their competitors close at midnight. But they own this fact and they have said to me, "Nothing fun happens after 10pm anyways!" All-in-all, I recommend this store due to variety and exceptional customer service. read more

I used to come here about once a week and after the first few times , the staff knew who I was and didn't ask for my ID anymore . Last time I was there which was about a week ago , I had a new cashier , an older blonde lady , who not refused to sell me alcohol because ' I looked to young' ... like I haven't heard that one before .. but I'm 28 and have been shopping there a long time but not anymore . I understand offer/acceptance, but I later discovered that $12.99-14.99 is the retail price. Thanks for doubling the price on me. This was an impromptu stop as we were passing through the town of Fredrick. The selection (and price) of bourbon, scotch and tequila prices were fantastic! The staff was also very friendly and helpful! I will definitely stop here again when in the area. read more

Prices are in line with what you would pay anywhere, what gets this place 5 stars are the people (which are all family since this is entirely family owned). Very nice, helpful and answers questions happily. They also never close during snow storms- the owner has a plow and he says the store is open no matter what. Can't really beat that. read more

I buy most of my alcohol here. Location is the main reason. Here's how I'd break this place down. Service is excellent way above average. I think it's a family owned op and they are helpful courteous and fast. Prices are reasonable for this area. Beer: average selection. This is not the best if you like microbrew. No Miller bottles in a 6. Big no-no. Wine: Average but decent selection. Their forte is Spirits especially Whiskey. Selection is over the top for small distillery bourbons and ryes. Decent for Scotch also. Vodka.. all you want. Sake is best in this area. They actually have top shelf Diginjo. read more

Apparently the person below "THINKS" he's a wine expert. I hate these people. This liquor store has a great selection of wine, local and imported. Not only that, they will take personal orders. If they don't have something in the store, they can always check with their distributing company and try and get you what you're looking for. They have a great selection of beer as well. From the main stream to the micro breweries you can usually find something you like. Only problem I have is that they don't carry any gluten free and organic wines. I don't drink the gluten free beer so it's not really a problem for me but it'd be nice to see a little more versatility. Lastly the liquor selection is decent size and they have all the basic necessities. Also the parking lot is a pain in the rear to get in and out of, however blame that on the pathetic city planners of Frederick, as they are the ones who designed the parking lot. This really is a very functional liquor store, with moderate prices and a great selection. read more

I have continued to shop here whenever i am in Frederick and sometimes drive a distance with only this destination in mind. I have indeed been lucky enough to see some hard to find bottles here with more frequent visits. Prices are always good. And the beer and cider selection has recently caught my eye. read more

My go-to wine/beer/liquor store. Since moving from Virginia (where EVERY grocery store has a great beer and wine selection), it has been tough to find such a wide selection anywhere else in Frederick. I'm happy to say that Riverside always has tons of choices for both wine and beer. The staff is always so nice and friendly. I actually live not even a mile from the Frederick Wine House, and I will drive farther to Riverside Liquors simply because the staff at FWH is so rude in comparison. read more

Prices are around what you'd expect from a liquor store in the area, but their selection is what REALLY sets this place apart! After purchasing the adjacent Blockbuster when it closed down, they greatly expanded their wine selection, and made room for an amazing variety of spirits and local/microbrews.
