The nurses were nice and answered any questions we had (this was my moms first time at a rehab facility).

She also said my mom was incapable of making decisions herself and couldn't sign the paperwork herself. I'm next of kin. That means it's my decision. Cat offered to "sign my name for me" which I refused, because I disagreed with the code status. My mom was discharged from the hospital & placed in Jurupa Hills for long-term care with hospice services planned, it was in the hospital discharge paperwork. So long story short, my mother is unable to make decisions/sign the paperwork, I went through the trauma of deciding my mother needed comfort care & hospice services, only for Cat to give her a full code status meaning she would get CPR, a feeding tube, or a ventilator if needed. That is not comfort care. That is not hospice. This meant my mother was in Jurupa Hills for 35 days just rotting and suffering. She wouldn't eat, shower, drink water, or take her pills by mouth anymore. She NEEDED hospice care. She NEEDED pain management. She NEEDED comfort care during these 35 days she stayed at Jurupa Hills. My mom ended up back at the hospital, I put her on hospice (which I'm legally allowed to do as next of kin, when my mother is unable to make decisions/sign for herself) and what do you know. Within 24 hours of being on hospice, mom passed away. It was time. Mom was ready. And she should have gotten comfort care sooner. I have nothing but hate in my heart for the poor training and lack of knowledge that Cat/Kat has. She has no business working there with sick, helpless people. Other staff at Jurupa Hills were kind to my mother during her time there. I respect and appreciate everyone that took care of her, paid attention to her, and treated her with dignity and respect. There is a young gentleman with long brown hair that works there, I wish I got his name. He was wonderful - THANK YOU. There was another Spanish woman working there that was wonderful - she was kind and attentive, THANK YOU. The facility itself was relatively clean and did not have a smell to it. I have frustrations with no communication from the doctors that work there. I have frustrations that no one read my mother's hospital discharge paperwork to see the part that said hospice services were expected. I would not recommend Jurupa Hills to anyone seeking hospice or comfort care for their loved one. Everywhere probably sucks and I'm sure there's negative reviews regardless of where you send your loved one. My only advice is they will probably get better care in a hospital.

There wouldn't have been a problem if the dishes were cleaned properly from the get go. I have an immune disorder and I can easily get sick especially eating off of other people's utensils, cups, plates that haven't been washed correctly. I spoken to people here but the problem doesn't get fixed. They write up menus and pass them out on Sunday and the menus always has something missing. For example meatloaf and mashed potatoes with gravy, NO GRAVY. Roast beef dip with au jus, NO BREAD AND NO AU JUS. There has been multiple occasions this has happened since I've been here.

I was greeted by Estela Smith Yank aka "Star" who I consider the best CNA there! She gave me a very warm welcome and even though dinner had already been served, she managed to find me something to eat and drink. If they give out CNA of the year awards, she definitely deserves it! The physical therapy team here is the BEST!! My main physical therapists were James and Jaime who always encouraged me and answered all my questions. Each physical therapist there has assisted me one way or another and they are ALL great! They helped me find the confidence to work hard and be able to progress with my healing. I would also like to give a shout out to Mariavik, Edna, Arani, Ashley, Leslie, Letitia, Guadalupe, Raquel, Gary, Natalie and Marlon. All friendly and helpful caregivers. Thank you for a positive experience!

He had read my first yelp complaint and assured me everything here is not as horrible as I think it is but from now on if I have an issue to call the main number to the facility and ask to be transferred to his voicemail and leave a message. Since then I have left him messages on 3 different occasions for 3 different issues for pretty much zero resolutions. On this past Tuesday I was transported on a gurney 1 hour each way to my dialysis in hemet. The trip was brutally painful. When i got back I told many nurses, office staff and even made several calls telling whoever would listen (or who I THOUGHT was listening) that I refused to make that trip again. My left collarbone and arm are broken along with my left hip. I have a pressure sore on my tailbone. Laying on a gurney in a bumpy transport van for 2 hours total was more than my broken 70 year old body could handle!!!! I only go to dialysis Tuesdays and Saturdays so I figured in the 4 days in between one of the many people that work here could have relayed the message to this "hospital" and the transport team I would not be going today to dialysis. At 3am transport came anyway. I apologized to them for making a wasted trip and now my anxiety is once again through the roof. Long story short I did what Trevor the administrator told me to do. I called the facility and asked to be transferred to his voicemail to relay all this information as HE REQUESTED! They refused to transfer me and the nurse came back to my room to tell me they cant transfer to his voicemail because his office is locked. Now I'm no brain surgeon but, HUH???? I've had more anxiety this short week here then I've had my whole life. I am full of anguish and depair, and on top of everything physical pain. Since I know Trevor reads yelp before checking voicemail I believed this follow up would be a quicker way to get my point across.

Communication is extremely poor--emails and phone calls are frequently ignored, and when responses are eventually given, they often come with unnecessary attitude for simply trying to get help. No one should be made to feel like an inconvenience for advocating for their loved one. The office staff consistently demonstrate a lack of sympathy, empathy, and basic respect for families who are clearly going through difficult and emotional situations. Instead of support and guidance, you are met with dismissiveness and frustration. This experience was not only disappointing but deeply upsetting. During a time when compassion and professionalism should be the standard, this facility failed entirely. Overall, this was the worst experience I've ever had, and I would strongly caution others before trusting this place with the care of someone they love.

Very unprofessional. Turns out State found them negligent. The cookies I even took to her that evening were stolen. Administrator made fun of me saying he would return the cookies and a laughing manner.
