I purchased a 3.7 litre engine for my 2006 Dodge Dakota and it ran perfectly when I installed it!

This place will steal from you! They stoll over $533.00 from me. I picked up a Subaru transmission and found out it was the wrong one. I returned the transmission in better condition then I had recieved it. I was charged 35% restocking fee even when their sign said 25%. They still refuse to refund me the money I am owed. When my husband totalled his pickup truck, I chose to have Riverside tow it from the tow yard without checking their reviews. I paid the initial tow bill and was promised $450 by John. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When you call to talk to someone about the warranty claim the owner is never available, and that the person in charge of returns "will be in tomorrow morning" at least that's what they claim. If I could give it 0 stars I definitely would. This engine that was sold to me was sitting outside in the elements for who knows how long. When I went to crank the engine it was seized up and wouldn't turn. I pulled the oil pan and filter off and water poured out of it. This business is unethical and a waste of customers time and hard-earned money. It seems they do everything they can to keep your money. sold a motor with a 1 year warranty. my mechanic started to do the warranty replace part as per the agreement and found out it was junk and not good at all. Jun. 9th at 10:58 a.m. I purchased a honda odyssey engine from riverside. Purchase amount was $462.76 I had previously called a couple times to check on the engine made sure it was a good engine and that it worked. I was told yes but they didnt have the keys to the van. Understandable they couldn't tell me miles so I asked for Vin number to check carfax for recent work possibly done to the engine. I get the engine home and put on engine stand. They also gave me a warranty covering the engine. Said I was too change a bunch of parts in the engine to make the warranty active. Before adding any brand new parts to an engine that may be bad. I do a leak down test to make sure the valves are closing and opening and should be. I have previously bought 2 other engines for this same vehicle and they ended up being bad also but the businesses refunded immediately no questions as I any business should. By adding parts to an engine makes it to where the parts aren't sometimes returnable. Alot of parts have stickers that say non refundable if package is opened. So without wasting money a leakdown test is required to make sure the engine is properly working. Amount the test I recorded down all cylinders are not in tolerance for leakdown testing. 40% is the most is allowed before engine is deemed not operational. My recording showed all cylinders have 70% or more. I have tried for over a month to get someone to call me back or even just talk to me and give me my next step. I've been told for a month and a half now I'll be getting called back. The manager himself has talked with me and also did not call me back when said he would. Even if it was to tell me he gotten to my claim or not. A phone call would be nice to be updated. Now they're telling me after a month that they need a video of the leakdown test. Which is no issue but I would have had this done a month ago had someone communicated with me. And today Monday, August 7. 2023. Been really patient. Here's my bbb credited review and I also left a Google review these people are just scam artist. Today they told me get lost I was denied my return. Today is Oct 25 2023. I ordered a differential from them. It took several weeks before they even shipped it. Upon arrival, I noticed that a bolt had broken off in a mounting boss. I called them and they did not offer any solution other than suggestions of how "I" could make it right. It cost me $275 to have this repaired. The mount had to be drilled and tapped. I then sent the housing to be freshened up at Randy's Ring and Pinion. Once open, the differential showed signs of where the bearings had slipped in the housing. This cause damage to the inside of the housing. I again called and asked how to deal with this. I called 3 more times without an answer. After not receiving any type of response from the manager, I went ahead and paid $300 more dollars to have the bearing surfaces machined. These guys are crooked. Do not do business with them. The 1 year warranty that they offer isn't worth the paper that it is written on. I repeat: DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE GUYS! read more

I found they had a differential i needed, left a $50 deposit last friday and they said it will be ready Monday, i waited until Tuesday they said it will be ready Wednesday, waited until today (Thursday) stil not ready and won't be until Friday or Monday. I asked for my deposit back and she hung up on me. I called back another guy answered and when i asked fir my money back he also hung up on me. Avoid them, they fo not do what they say, when they fail they think just hanging up will make me forget about it. My bank will be taking the money back within days. They have a bad reputation that well earned, AVOID THESE AMATEURS AT ALL COSTS!!! Too bad there isn't a zero star option. read more

This will be the third time I've come up here from South denver. I guess I'm just a glutton for punishment. All three times, been told on the phone, or on facebook, " parts are available for that vehicle ". Drive 80 miles to get up here, and then they tell me face to face, "We don't have those parts, or we don't sell those parts here." I did buy two head lights and I did pick them up at their location in Milliken. At home I did realize the headlight did not fit my car - even after they confirmed that the headlights fit my model and year. I did send them the headlights back on my own expenses and was told that my credit card will be credited for it. However, now after 4 weeks returning the lights I still have not received the credit. I called several time and always got a lame excuse why the credit has not applied yet. As of today I am still waiting. Sadly I have to dispute the charge with my credit card company. In this case I cannot recommend this company at all. Very fishy business practices. My advise - look somewhere else. read more

I bought a transmission from this company with a 1-year warrany. My mechanic found the throttle body was bad. I called and Chet advised I remove and clean the throttle body. My mechanic advised that the throttle body is made of aluminum (soft metal) and once they go bad, cleaning would not matter and he would have to charge me labor. This company did not stand behind their warranty. Do yourself a favor and buy elsewhere. read more

Called them about a part, they sent me the completely wrong part that had nothing to do with what I was saying, i called them 40 times in the span of a month just to get a return label, they tried accusing me saying that's the part I ordered then they listened to the phone recordings and realized that i did in fact say a completely different part, only after they listened to the recordings did they even mention sending me a label. I had to call 5 times after that just so they would send me a label, never apologized for their mistake. Sent the part back and I've been calling every day for a week (in business days) since part arrived at their facility and I still dont have a refund. Customer service IS GARBAGE. Attitude towards customers IS GARBAGE. Their returns personnel attendance IS GARBAGE. Do not buy anything from these people unless you want to be ripped off and blamed for it!!! read more

Well after 13 years of using Riverside I will never go back.I run A pretty successful automotive shop in Longmont that we use them for, after today dealing with a new crew new people I've never seen don't understand what's happening here rude incompetent possibly even a little inbred sold me a part that was cut up I'm in a situation where I need to park extremely badl. they offered another part in almost another week when I told him on the phone two weeks prior when I ordered the part how badly I needed it. there's a little Ingrid at the counter would not let me speak to the owner or manager told me if I had anything to say could go through him he has final say it's just amazing after 13 years of business how someone can lose one customer in a matter of minutes don't worry Riverside I will be spreading the word gratefully never to use you or your company again I will be calling my rep at LKQ to spread the word I will be calling my rep at central auto parts spread the word I will also be telling my local shops in town not to use you as well hope you're happy with your $500.
