At first, the owner came off as friendly and trustworthy, but once the insurance money was secured, everything changed. Instead of properly replacing the damaged parts, they installed the wrong color moldings around my windows and simply painted over them to cover it up. Now the paint is already peeling off, exposing the cheap, sloppy work (see photos). I've called and texted the owner multiple times giving him every chance to fix the issue -- but he ignores me completely. He acts professional at the start, but as soon as he gets paid, he disappears. Sadly, I'm not the only one -- the same thing happened to my friend, proving this is a pattern, not a one-time mistake. Now I'm stuck with the bill to fix the damage he caused (attached is the estimate). Instead of repairing my car, he made the situation worse and cost me even more money. I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (though his business isn't even listed there -- which says a lot). Do not trust this shop. This is a scam operation run by someone who takes advantage of trusting customers and provides the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. Avoid this place at all costs. If I can actually leave 0 star, I would.

Had a horrible growling sound coming from the rear end. I took my 07 silverado to 3 different shops…read morebefore I found WD. The first shop says CV axles (which it was not), the second confirmed bad pinion bearing but was overly confident not to check backlash and preload. Third shop was under experienced with diff repair. At this point I was exhausted, down on my luck, having wasted $500 in inspection costs to no avail, I was about to scrap the chevy seeing my only option was to swap a reman axle for $4k plus labor. Then I called WD. Dave took the time to speak with me extensively about the issue and encouraged me not to scrap the truck but instead remove the guts for his shop to recondition at a fraction of the cost. They started immediately when I arrived with the parts and finished installing a total of 8 bearings and 3 seals in under 2 hours. Remarkable timing. There was an issue with the pinion support bearing being Chinese (which came with the kit and I would have had to install myself in the diff). I brought this to Dave's attention after I got home and he agreed to meet me half way to give me a USA made bearing. He stands behind quality so much as to make a trip. I mean, what shop or mechanic does this? So I get it all bolted on and texted him the gear pattern. We spoke a bunch back and forth, but ultimately he approved the pattern. What do you know, the growling is GONE! David, Lynn, you guys are awesome! It is so difficult to find a reputable mechanic. Your shop stands against the stigma. 10 stars! Seriously.

Was on a cross-country trip from MN to AZ with a full car (family and all) and started hearing that…read moredreaded sound from my the rear differential... fortunately having some automotive knowledge I was suspicious right away of what was going on and managed to limp into Denver and find Dave and Western Drivetrain. We got there at 5AM. They were in the shop by 6:30, were diagnosing my car by 7, had a diagnosis/bid/time estimate to repair by 7:45. They had all the parts in stock. They dropped us off at a local restaurant to wait, picked us back up, and had the car done and we were gone by 11AM. I can't say enough good things about this shop and the team there. Kind, friendly, accommodating, quick, knowledgable and very fair prices. In addition to the great service, Dave also took the time to explain to me exactly what happened, why it failed, provided the pinion bearing that was the culprit, and wrote up a great summary of the issue. I was able to take that back to the team that had rebuilt the rear end just a year before and have a very honest, straightforward, simple discussion that resulted in a very satisfactory outcome that both me and the original shop were both satisfied with without and disagreement or debate. My hope is that I do not have to see them again (it would mean that I had another differential problem on a cross-country trip), but if I did, I don't think I would go anyplace else in Denver for this type of work. The staff was friendly enough and helpful. They completed the job, though it took longer than quoted, but no big deal. When I got back into my car there were four lights lit up on my dash (see pictures) that weren't on when I gave them my keys. I brought up the issue and the guy that worked on my car told me he didn't work near the brakes so it wasn't him, not his problem. I took the car in to another shop to find out what was going on. The wire was cleanly and freshly cut (see pictures). I'm sure it was an accident and he may not have even realized he cut it, but he did and now it is another repair that has to be done, costing me more time and money. The mechanic dismissed my concerns, said it wasn't his problem, and cost me more money.
