This restaurant spot is AAAAHHHHMMMAAAZZZIIINNGG!!! And located only 5 minutes away from my home!! From the cozy vibe, the food and wait staff were incredible!! The head chef himself stopped by our table to introduce himself which I felt was a nice touch! They also feature two private dining rooms that will accommodate up to about 15 guests. It's perfect for a romantic date night, celebrating with your girls, or just treating yourself to a nice evening out. The ambiance is beautiful with relaxing instrumentals, and on Fridays they have a live band that makes the entire experience even better. The customer service was exceptional, and everyone made us feel welcomed. The food was absolutely delicious. The Bang Bang Shrimp was one of my favorites, and I loved that they had flavorful mocktails for those of us who don't drink alcohol. Great atmosphere, great food, and top-notch service. I was super excited to come here bc it's right by my house and when I saw it on TikTok, it looked super good! Unfortunately I had a very underwhelming experience. Parking: there's a decent amount of parking you have to pay for, but they validate so I loved that. The restaurant itself is huge & I love how it's decorated. We went on a Wed night & spent 2 hours there, but most of the time was spent waiting bc there was only one server (that we saw) working the entire floor. She was very sweet tho. I also spoke with the manager & she was nice & accommodating as well, which I really appreciated. Drinks: It took almost an hour to get my drink (a tequila espresso martini) & it was very bland. It tasted like a watered down tequila & coke. It was heavily missing the espresso flavor. They have an espresso martini with a lavender foam so maybe that one has better flavor. Overall I was very disappointed, both in the amount of time it took & the taste. There were only a few other people there so I didn't understand why everything took so long to come out. Food: this is why I gave a 2. Everything fell flat. Especially for the price range. My friend ordered the Brussels & bang bang shrimp appetizers. They were simply ok. They weren't bad, but it's not something I would tell people about. I ordered the surf & turf the same time my friend ordered her appetizer and apparently there was a mixup in the back-- but it took over an hour to come out. In the meantime, she finished her appetizer & ordered her entree -- the turkey burger-- which she said was actually good. When my medium rare steak finally came out, it was extremely charred and tough. Even though the middle was technically medium rare, it didn't have the color, the outside was extremely tough, & the inside was gummy. On top of that, the steak was very bland. The shrimp was ok, typical bbq shrimp. I only took one bite & ended up sending my food back bc after waiting over an hour for it and the price, it was just unacceptable. The manager was very understanding & didn't make a fuss which I appreciated. Overall, this is one of the very few restaurants that I just won't be back to. For the price range of the food, the quality is very much lacking. I will say everything is plated pretty, however flavor should always be the front runner & everything we tasted except the turkey burger was bland. The ambiance is nice but the food is okay. Brussels sprouts were burnt not crispy and I didn't like they added popcorn on top. The wings were the best thing. The Kate's chicken could've been better if the potatoes and greens weren't under the chicken. It was cold by the time I got it. They need more good options as entrees and I think it will be better. Food here was really good--from the starters to the entrees and dessert. I would recommend the bang bang shrimp as the best appetizer. I also heard the Brussels sprouts were good (I just don't eat them no matter what). The sea bass and burger were cooked to perfection--however what truly made the outing exceptional was the service. We were really looking forward to trying Riverview Grill Atlanta , a black owned restaurant that is a mere 20 minutes from our home in Smyrna. To start the location is well lite and appeared to be clean. The hostesses greeted us when we walked in. We had a reservation and they actually seated us early which was great. Once seated our waiter took approximately 20 minutes to come over and the first thing he asked was if they ( I guess he meant the hostesses) tell us that they were not taking any food orders for another 15 minutes? We told him that we were now aware of this. He then explained that the kitchen was backed up and didn't like to have more orders than the could fill in 20 minutes. We opted to way15 minutes. After 20-25 minutes, our waiter returned for our order. We ordered Bang Bang Shrimp and Chicken as both of our entrees. I inquired about the length of time to fill the order, he said approximately 20 minutes which sounded reasonable. In less than 3 minutes, the Bang Bang Shrimp appetizer arrived. The presentation was nice however the shrimp was not hot (Strike 1). It was clear based on how quickly it was served that it had been sitting. I flagged down one of the hostesses and shared that the shrimp was cold. She took it back to the kitchen and this is where things to a turn for the worse. The waitress that brought the cold shrimp to the table started whispering with a person that assumed to be the manager with hot pink hair. I don't know this for a fact because she never came over to have a conversation with us. (Strike 2). The "manager " then waited to speak with our waiter who came over 10 minutes later. The waiter stated that they could remake the shrimp however, it would not have any sauce because they were out of Bang Bang sauce ( Strike 3). We decided at that point that we had waisted more than an hour of our time, were served cold food, and the management team did not have the decency to come to the table to address the problem nor apologize so we left. We did not leave because this is a black owned business but because Riverview Grill Atlanta did not treat us in a way that made us feel valued and that they wanted our continued patronage. Upon exiting we ran into another couple that waited more than 90 minutes for their food. When asked how was their meal they responded over priced for surf and turf that was not good. I visited recently with high hopes based on the photos of this new restaurant, but left extremely disappointed by the service and the value delivered. We arrived around 7pm, finally got seated around 720pm or so and placed an order immediately. 90 minutes later our entrees still hadn't arrived, despite 4-5 other tables seated after us all being served. While the waitress was apologetic and kept checking in with the kitchen, the manager seemed disinterested in engaging on the issue. When she finally came to our table, she took very little accountability, blamed the kitchen staff for causing the problem, and didn't offer us anything in return. After the conversation, she asked the waitress to take our number and email with the intent of sending us a gift card for a future visit ... which still hasn't arrived 3 days later. I am not confident that I will hear back from the restaurant owner or manager at all. Poor service with worse follow up once the issue was raised. I feel like we wasted an entire evening, and by the time we gave up and left around 930pm it was too late to grab dinner anywhere else. read more

My husband and I really enjoyed our dining experience at the River View Grill yesterday. The food was Great! The Bang Bang Shrimp and Crab Fritters were simply Delicious! My drink was even Wow! I visited Riverview Grill this week and the food, the ambience and my bartender were amazing. The lemon pepper wings wet were grilled and seasoned to perfection.
