I must admit...I come here often with my family. I LOVE this place! They have an amazing lunch special that I get often: cheese slice, Greek salad, and a drink. The wings are great and always juicy with a nice crispy outside paired with the celery just nicely. The service is always great! I've never had a bad experience and anytime we've told them we had a problem, they fixed it immediately! A1 in my book. It's listed as a sports bar but it's a cool pizza joint! Spaced out well, has TVs, and a bar. It's also kid friendly. Clean for the most part including the bathrooms. The portions are pretty good here too! You should see their kids pizza, it's a great size for kiddos. They'll have some to take home for later which is a win. 10 out of 10. read more

Can't believe how many times I've been in this shopping center without realizing Blue Moon Pizza was right here! We started with the lemon pepper wings -- omg, so crispy and flavorful. Definitely a must-try. The garlic rolls were another win -- great portion to share between two or three people. For pizzas, I had the Meateor, and my friend ordered hers with vegan cheese (yes, they offer vegan cheese!) and green peppers. This is some of the best pizza I've ever had!! I came in for lunch on a Monday afternoon. We were greeted by the hosts and sat immediately. The restaurant was not busy at all and there were a few occupied tables. My sever, Rob was so attentive even though we took a while for decide what we wanted to eat. You find parking in the plaza. Parking is free. You can sit inside or outside. You can call in and place to go orders. Nice breeze and nice neighborhood to view out on the patio. The servers and staff were so sweet. My friend's pizza was dropped coming out of the oven. The server kept apologizing even though he wasn't the one who dropped the pizza. We ordered mozzarella sticks and wings for an appetizer. The Buffalo chicken pizza is to die for. Dip it in ranch an even better flavor. I got the Meateor pizza and it was very good. My wife ordered the Greek pizza and she said there were too many artichokes and olives which made it all too salty. Our son enjoyed the kid's pepperoni pizza but it was supposed to come with some ice cream for dessert but the server never mentioned it. The food seemed to take a long time to get to the table but that may have been because we were all so hungry. We sat outside on the patio because the weather was nice. I'm a frequent flyer of Blue Moon pizza for dine-in and takeout. Never had bad service. Every staff member has been friendly and helpful. The food is always consistently good - even when I've done takeout. They have a decent selection of draft beers and a full bar. I've seen them handle large parties with kids and solo adults with the same grace. The one gentleman with white hair has been there a while (maybe he's the manager) and is great. Will continue to give them my business due to consistency of good food and good service. read more

I'm usually a fan of this place, but recently it's been incredibly disappointing. The last 4 or 5 times I've been, the AC has not been working and it was ridiculously hot in there with all of those ovens going. I saw other people bringing their families and babies in there and being legitimately concerned for their well being. It's been months like that. It's ridiculous! Middle of July. Don't get me wrong, the staff is great and the food is great too, but everyone just looks like they're struggling due to the heat and possibly understaffing (it looked like my server was helping the whole restaurant). It's just sad to see. It's also hard to enjoy a meal or a drink in that kind of heat. They've also had a problem with the fountain drinks and draft beers for a while. It's been problem after problem and diminishing options. Doesn't seem like they're doing anything about it. I like this place, but recently it's just been going down hill with no sign of turning back. Sadly, I don't think I can go back here considering the lack of urgency to fix major issues. I was in the mood for pizza and wings, but I wanted to try something different. Of course I came to Yelp for some help. I came across BlueMoon pizza. I guess I've been hiding under a rock, because I'd never heard of this restaurant, even though it's nearby ( where would I be without Yelp..lol) if you've been following me for awhile, you know the approach I take when trying food for the first time " Stick with the basics!" I ordered a small pepperoni pizza and 10 wings ( lemon pepper and mild wings). I really enjoyed the food, I got it Togo. The pizza was good, better than the normal chain restaurants ( a lot better) the wings were Amazing. It's always hard for me to find good wings and everyone's recommendation of good wings is different, but these are GOOD! I highly recommend adding Blue Moon Pizza to your list. Food: 4 Stars Table Service: 3 Stars Bar Service: 0 Stars Management: 1 Star I've never had such a hard time getting a drink in a bar. It was a really odd experience last night at Blue Moon Pizza! We arrived about 7pm. Restaurant had some patrons, but was not busy. We were immediately sat, greeted and asked what we wanted to drink. I ordered a tall Coors Light draft and a water. Waitress advised they did not have Coors Light on draft and brought over a draft menu. I chose Dos Equis Amber and my bf ordered a Blue Moon. The waitress returned with my bf's draft Blue Moon and a Dos Equis Lager in a bottle. I told her I had ordered the draft Amber, not bottle Lager. She advised they didn't have Dos Equis on draft. I pointed to it on the draft menu and apologized but stated it was here. She went back to the bar (I should add we were in a half booth/half table. The bf and I sat on the same side of the booth facing the restaurant and bar). I see her tell the bartender. She rolled her eyes, poured the Dos Equis Lager into a glass and went over to the Dos Equis Amber draft to top off the glass. Um. No. The waitress looked shocked, looked over to me and saw I witnessed the whole thing. The bartender then looked over at me, shrugged and handed the waitress the drink. The waitress came over and I said "You know I saw that just happen and I'm not taking that." She says "I know, I'm sorry! It's not even the same beer." She walked back and told the bartender to pour a draft. The bartender again rolled her eyes, looked right at me and started to tidy up the bar instead of pouring my beer. I called the waitress over and told her to just take the beer off all together and ordered a Blue Moontini-- martinis are $6 on Thursday! The waitress went over and made the change in the system (again I'm facing the restaurant I see all this happening) - turns around to the bar and tells the bartender who again -- queue eye roll - looks over and tells her okay. I watched this bartender do everything possible besides make my drink. She even changed the ice below the drink fruits! It appeared she was closing the bar but it was a good 2 hrs before closing. After literally 20 min (and after our food was delivered) I called the waitress back over and told her to just forget the martini and please bring me a water (which I also had never gotten with my original beer order). The waitress was very apologetic and said she was going to send the manager over. I told her it was not her fault, I was not a bit mad and just wanted to be sure there were no drinks on my bill. She said the bar behavior was ridiculous and she wanted to send the manager over. Manager comes over, apologizes, says he is going to have a serious talk with the bartender after close and gives me a card for a free appetizer for next time. Interesting solution. IMO if I'm a manager and a patron is having a problem getting a drink in my restaurant I'm going to approach, apologize and GET THEM A DRINK. Call me crazy. Also, I would have immediately pulled that bartender for a discussion. Her attitude towards me was super rude and uncalled for. Idk if I looked like someone she hated or what but she was going out of her way to be super nice to everyone else ordering drinks. Walking over, hugging them, pouring their drinks, etc. no idea why my treatment was different. Food was great! Pizza is delish and the wings were cooked perfectly. Idk if the free appetizer will ever be used, but lots of opportunity here for this location. read more

Just know if you go here don't expect a great restaurant experience. This is literally just somewhere to go for a drink, likely for a younger crowd. The food was not remarkable. I ordered a margherita pizza with extra sauce because the menu said it comes with "light sauce." The kitchen didn't understand what that meant to put extra sauce so they gave me a side dish of marinara which I didn't use. The biggest problem was cleanliness. There were probably 5-8 drain flies around us while we were dining in. It gave me a grossed out feeling and I wanted to leave pretty quickly. The bathrooms were not clean either. Alright, so I'll start by saying this has been my favorite pizza spot for several years since I moved to Smyrna. Their quality has always been a notch above the others in similar price range, like Davinci's. But the past several orders have had QC issues - like my previous order was not fully cooked and a bit doughy. Disappointing, but I tossed it in my oven and finished it myself. For this order, my half of the pizza with regular mozz was almost completely missing the cheese except for a few spots. I realized this walking out to the car, walked back in and showed them, and they offered to cover it with more cheese and put it back in the oven for a bit. Fair enough - but when they brought it back out, it was as the picture shows - rather than filling in the missing cheese with actual pizza cheese, they thought dropping a few sparse droplets of fresh mozzarella would fix it. It was apparent they left it in too long as well by the burnt crust. Now, I'm not usually one to make a huge stink about stuff like this, but I worked in pizza restaurants for a good chunk of my 20's and I know fairly well the do's and dont's of pizza making. I know that cheese can be melted without burning the crust by only running it through the oven for a half pass or less, and I don't think any place that offers fresh mozzarella would assume that's what was asked for when it wasn't one of the ordered ingredients and almost the entire half was missing the regular shredded mozz. For this price, I expect a correctly made pizza, or at least a correctly corrected pizza if not made right the first time. They failed on both accounts and I think it's due to them hiring younger staff. This combined with my recent order issues means I'm searching for a new regular pizza spot. read more
