Great campground that's a short drive from Estes Park. The premium sites (especially near the river) are spacious, so you don't feel like you're parked on top of your neighbors. They have a nice little park area along the river towards the entrance of the park. The campground store has a nice selection of souvenirs, RV necessities, and snacks to choose from. The staff (who are all insanely amazing) and the long term guests make it feel like home, and you really feel the sense of community here. I'm nomad who is usually not in a campground for more than a week, and and definitely wasn't planning on staying here for more than a month. However, I've been here for four months so far, and I think that says a lot about how great it is here. It's also nice to see the staff out working on little projects or cleaning up daily. I've been to some RV campgrounds that feel run down due to the lack of maintenance. This shows that they care about the park. Going back to my comment about the staff being amazing: The owners and management are great as well. The staff always speaks highly about how easy they are to work with, and how much they care about their employees and guests. read more

Avoid Riverview -- Safety & Maintenance Issues We stayed three nights to visit the Rockies, but it was about an hour's drive--much farther than advertised. The park is dominated by seasonal or long-term residents, many with cluttered sites. The motorhome next to us was undrivable, surrounded by junk, and the residents kept two very aggressive dogs that were a constant concern. Facilities were poorly maintained. Only 2 of the 6 washers worked, and just 1 dryer--forcing us to do laundry in town. Most troubling was what happened the day we left: I saw a man leading a young woman by her neck, her hands behind her back. She gave the universal distress signal as she passed. I tried to follow but lost them on the far side of the park. I immediately reported it to the office and called the police. Between the safety concerns, poor maintenance, and distance from the Rockies, we will not return. read more

I've stayed here a couple of times this past year. The staff is super friendly. Also the park is in a great location, only about an hour from Denver. The bathrooms are also very clean. We will definitely be staying here more often. read more

Not our favorite place to stay... but appreciated the price for our weekly stay. Staff was incredibly nice. There seems to be a sewage smell that lasted well over two days. The playground is definitely not up to code and can seem like a huge liability. Weekend had a band that came and they were really good. River access, but it's fast flowing. 15min drive to Loveland Lake and shopping. Overall extremely quiet campground. Most of their long term residences have their spaces pretty messy. If we went back to stay I'd only stay for two days. read more

My husband and I run a mobile non-profit animal rescue. When we are in town having animals treated for cancer at CSU, we've been staying at Riverview RV park. We've stayed around 4 months total during late winter, spring and early summer. Up until recently, we'd had a great experience but the owner and his mother have made it their personal venture to be a thorn in our side. I'm honestly surprised they have such a great staff (pretty much the only redeeming factor here) in spite of their horrible behavior, attitude and approach to handling things they consider to be an inconvenience. Since we do travel a great deal, we have both our Ford F350 for towing and we have a 1966 VW Beetle that's cheap to fuel for errands. During the 2023 Memorial Day weekend, on a Saturday at 2pm, my husband started our bug and left it to idle while he checked the throttle cable. It is an old car and, like all old cars, they need a little warm-up time and they do require maintenance to keep them running perfectly. In spite of it being 2pm on a weekend, over a holiday when there was plenty of noise because the park was filled to the brim, the owner came out of the maintenance area and berated my husband for having our "loud" car running. My husband kindly shut the bug down until we were ready to leave. In spite of there being absolutely no rules regarding car sounds during normal hours, he was told we were not allowed to do anything but start the bug and leave. This was the first time we'd ever had an arbitrary rule made just for us, so we checked in with the office to see who this rude, strange man was. Turns out IT'S THE OWNER who apparently lives on the property! So, we asked the office to move us away from his area so this wouldn't cause further issues while we warmed the bug up for travel. They were happy to do so and found us a spot near the front of the park rather than the wagon wheel. That following Wednesday, at 7pm, we turned the bug over and prepared to leave for dinner. Both my husband and I were buckled up and ready to leave when an elderly woman walked out of the same area this time SCREAMING at the top of her lungs, arms raised above her head, making threats. Again, we had no idea who this person was. We checked in with the office again and were told that this was THE OWNER'S MOTHER! Apparently she raised her son to mistreat people in the same fashion that she finds acceptable. I asked her to identify herself and held up my camera. When she realized that she was going to be videoed, she turned on her heel and retreated. The office staff was kind enough to move us AGAIN, this time to the furthest corner of the park, so we didn't have to deal with any more drama from either of them. In all of this, the staff has been wonderful and has done all they can to keep us in the park (free days, refunds, moving spots repeatedly, etc). I'm honestly not sure how they're keeping patrons there when the owners are being absolute assholes. We're not difficult people and the staff claims to love us staying there (and our bug!). A text, email or even a knock-and-talk works fine if we're doing something wrong. We even offered to park at the very front edge of the park, hundreds of yards away from our spot, to avoid disturbing people---but the only people who ever complained WERE THE OWNERS. Lots of patrons have come over to chat us up about our vintage car with no complaints about noise. We don't hot rod the bug, we're gentle drivers and we try to be respectful of others. I absolutely adore the staff and don't have a single complaint towards them. The owners, though, are their own problem. I'm afraid that we're going to have to look at patronizing a different park since these owners cannot be sensible in their approach to handling inconveniences. Having spoken with the office staff, this is apparently a fairly common concern. The owners have a strong preference toward silence in the park and any vehicle that makes any degree of noise becomes an irritant for them. If this is the case, they should state this in their rules or at least on their website. We've stayed in more than 30 parks across the USA and they are the ONLY one to have raised any concerns about this. As such, I am apt to believe that this is not a concern regarding the sound of the vehicle or our compliance, but rather their own unwillingness to calmly discuss concerns with patrons, be honest about their expectations and to be respectful toward other people. As such, we will only be returning if we have no other option. There are plenty of other RV parks, campgrounds, etc. in the area. I would suggest that others skip this park over and look elsewhere. I've read a lot of bad reviews, all of which appeared to be from picky people not interested in "roughing it ". So we took the chance. 1) we got a space last minute. It was WAY overpriced for what it was. But, it likely was the last space in the entire state, so I didn't complain. 2) the smell of sewage mentioned in reviews may be the smell of the river. If it's low it smells. However, while the river smell was mostly prominent at dusk, and didn't bother me at all, on our last night there was a sewer stink that was awful. Frankly, this wasn't an issue with the park, but the owners of the campers that probably didn't hook up correctly. 3) we had a "river view" space. We did back up to the river. We could hear it. And it was lovely. But the weeds were so high we couldn't see it. Not awesome. 4) the photos on line make this place appear as though there is a lot of grass. There is NO grass. Anywhere. There are weeds and dirt. The majority of the people here appear to be permanent or semi-permanent. And their spots, depending on the person, look well kept. The rest of the place is dirt and weeds 5) we met friendly people, did not have issue with management not being attentive, and we had fun. I would come back if the price weren't as high as what I paid($77/night for a tent camper). 6) the website was utterly terrible and did not have easy booking or updated info. Nasty sewer horrible smell the entire weekend. And other people who camp here every year said to me that the owners are extremely cheap. I think we are going to find a way to report this with the city, trip advisor, good sams ect with whoever we need to because this can't be ok for campers to sleep 2 or 3 nights on this nasty smell. Or have flash your sewer somewhere alse because the sewer line system here are damage for year and they don't want to fix it this problem they have for yearssss.. They are completly book every weekend so it's not excuses for it because you guys make plenty enough money to resolve that problem in this great but nasty smelly location. This park seems nice enough, but it is not well lit and there is no security on the grounds. Anyone can just drive through the park when they feel like it, which we found out first hand after a break-in and some costly items were stolen from our vehicle. Trip started out great. Friendly check-in and beautiful river view site. But we received a call approx 5 hours after we checked out stating that their pressure water blow out valve was missing and if we accidentally took it with us. We explained that we didn't have the pressure valve and they said OK. Next day received a $52 dollar charge for missing valve. When we saw the email we immediately contacted them and they stated we were the last to check out at that site and it was missing when the next campers arrived so we were responsible for replacement . We did not take the pressure valve. I highly recommend that the campsite develops a better system of confirming presence of valve at checkout instead of arbitrarily charging someone. Anything could have happened from the time we left to the time of the new arrival . Seems sketchy. read more

Great location between the amenities of Loveland and the beauty of Estes Park. Well-maintained park with staff constantly visible. We appreciated the staff escort to our spot and the propane service. The spots are cramped-- many are so tight that slides barely fit. We spent 14 days at this park and went to the playground most days. There were always a ton of kids ages 2/3 and up with no parent supervision. They left trash all over, were destructive, and one little boy even hit my daughter several times. When we extended our stay, the staff made us move spots. But when the tenants occupying the spot we were supposed to move into extended their stay, they rerouted us to a third spot while letting the other tenants keep their spot. As moving and re-setting up takes a good amount of time, this was a huge inconvenience. read more

This is the absolute worst experience I've ever had with an RV park. I suggest you stay far, far away. A few weeks before 4th of July, we realized we needed to stay somewhere the night of July 4th only. It was hard to find, but I ended up booking with Riverview without issue. About a week before 4th of July, my mom wanted to come along with her RV. She called to make a reservation. They told her they don't book one night stays and they would be calling us to cancel our reservation. This was one week before our stay! So, my mom told me and I called them- wonder when they were going to get around to calling us? When I spoke to the lady, she said that they hired a new girl who made a mistake. I said, that's not our fault and you should honor the stay. She said, it's not our fault either! I said, yes it is your fault as it's your employee. I asked to talk to the manager and she told me that the manager was on the other line. Then SHE HUNG UP ON ME! I tried to call back and no answer. So, my husband called from his phone and a different girl answered. She told my husband that the system made a mistake and they were going to cancel. Then she said that her manager was gone. We told her that we already know she is there. She said that she would get her, but after 15 mins, nobody got on the phone. They never did call us, so we booked with someone else. These people are rude, dishonest, horrible people who don't care about leaving a family of 6 without a place to stay. We are having to stay someplace much farther away as it's the only place we could find with availability given the short timeframe. If you are interested in the area, try Jellystone. Much nicer people and so much to do there. Avoid these people like the plague. read more

The staff is friendly and helpful, bathrooms clean, live entertainment on Saturday nights. Nice play area for kids. Sites are close together and the water pressure sucks. Sometimes there is NO water or just a trickle. Coming back all sweaty after a day at Rocky Mountain National Park and hoping to take a shower is a hit and miss. One time I had shampoo in my hair and soap in my ass and the water stopped. I had to go to the community shower and wash off with cold water. This campground is about 45 min away from RMNP so if we ever come back we will stay in Estes Park. read more

The front office workers are kind and helpful. The sites are cramped. The RVer to the south of us has a leak in his water hose and he's spraying water over half our site. And it is to be below freezing the next 5 nights. (So perhaps I should be happy for the skating rink he's making for us?) The neighbor to the north of us has a furnace running about 16 hours a day that sounds like over-modulated bass. They hang out in their site and it sounds like they are right outside our door. I have a sleep machine that cannot drown out the noise. The sites are simply too close together. I believe our site has a picnic table, but it's in the back and to the north, so maybe it is not this site's table. The sites in this loop all kinda merge back there. Anyway, there's an ice rink between us and it, so, nevermind. Our radio can get one station and my ATT cell signal is one bar. A big section of the park is for long term stays. From the looks of it, about 3/4 of the people outside the long-term area are likewise staying long term. (The people on either side of us, for instance, as well as nearly all the people on this loop, including the rig a few spaces down with the broken window that's been closed up with cardboard.) It's next to a river, and thus the soil is sandy... which means you are tracking sand into your rig all the time. We do plan to make use of the walking trail, and would, except for the weather, load up our bikes and drive to the extensive rec trail in the nearby town. The hogback (rock formations) view is lovely, and there's a herd of elk in the area. Also there are many mature trees. Back to the apparent long-term nature of this facility. I don't know, perhaps this campground is on its way to becoming a trailer park. Covid has caused us all to do things we wouldn't normally do. read more

The park is located in the west end of Loveland, Colorado, with easy access to resources in town, and at the beginning of the Big Thompson canyon. It is an older park with an excellent, warm and friendly staff who are doing their best with the property. It is idyllic setting with the option to park in the interior or on the river if you enjoy listening to the river bubble by as we did. We saw deer across the river in a small group most mornings. While the roads in the park are dirt, the staff made frequent passes spraying water to keep the dust down. The park is about half full with permanent residents and rigs and with the rest involving others passing through. The staff did a lovely job accommodating our group, with indoor and outdoor space available as the weather permits. They had an area for a group of young campers in tents as well. Unfortunately the RVs and trailer spaces are rather close together for those nonresidents but the staff was judicious in their management of the situation by parking rigs with a space between them. The shower house/bathrooms were immaculate, maybe the cleanest I have seen. However, the waterheater appeared to be malfunctioning in the men's showerhouse, to only provide water in the shower that was too hot to step under. Connectivity to the wireless network in the park is problematical and slow due to the location. Another camper was able to use his hotspot but ours was only able to connect once or twice to monitor a work situation. Plan on other means of more dependable access. One suggestion might be to restore the walking path around the edges of the park that appears on the map but was closed as we are active people. We also kayaked on nearby Boyd Lake which was a great day activity. read more

My husband and I just left today after spending the winter season here at Riverview. Being full time, I must say that our stay was one of the best we have had in the past 3 years. The propane service was very convenient, and a life safer during those cold days. The park was very quiet, especially at night. There was no highway traffic noise heard from where we were parked. Ive had a very good experience with the park staff and the gals in the office. I would come back to this park again in a heartbeat. read more

The following comments are written by my husband who had to deal with this mess: I realize that this review probably won't change much, but maybe it will help 1 or 2 of you out there. I would give the office staff 5 stars. They were very nice & courteous & very helpful with a problem or 2 that we had. I would give the campground ZERO stars. The site we were given is the WORST I've ever had. It was unsafe and nearly unstable. We were put in the "back" area of the campground which is in a FLOOD PLAIN, about 3' lower than the front part of the campground. In their greed to maximize the poor investment they made, the owners made a half-hearted attempt to make the flood plain usable. They hauled in dirt & elevated each site by about 3'. Each site in this area is about 40' long X 10'-12' wide plateau, barely enough to contain a camper. This left a 3' deep ditch between each campsite. Even though I hugged 1 side of the plateau w/ my camper, by the time I had let down my stairs, I had only 6-8" on each side before dropping down into the 3' deep ditch. VERY DANGEROUS. The picnic table was IN the ditch so you had to go down the incline to use it. EXTREMELY DANGEROUS!!! Took me 3X longer & 10x the energy to set up. The utility hook ups are down in the ditch & you have to climb up & down out of them. If it were to flood, your utilities would be under water. This whole section of campground is UNSAFE. NO security lighting on campground--nearly pitch black. DO NOT ARRIVE after dark!!! Only 1 small laundry (4 washers &4 dryers) for 164 sites! Had to elevate front of truck w blocks to even get out. Unable to get up n blow off slides before leaving. The wifi connection is USELESS ( as it is in most campgrounds). As short time renters, we were given the "basic" wifi password, but the connection was so slow as to be useless. Some long term people told us they were given a "voucher" for an upgraded WiFi but they reported problems with it. They advertise cable TV but for those of us in the "low rent district", it did NOT work. They told us the underground cable was damaged. They didn't seem to be concerned enough to repair it. MAKE SURE YOU ASK IF YOU'LL BE IN THIS AREA. TOO UNSAFE AND DIFFICULT TO MOVE IN AND OUT OF!!!!! IF YOU HAVE OTHER CHOICES, USE THEM!!!!!!!!!! UNFORTUNATELY WE DIDN'T KNOW IN ADVANCE WHAT WE WERE GETTING!!! read more

The check in process was quick. The staff is very friendly and led us to our site. We drive a 43ft motorhome with a tow vehicle. The sites by the river, #1-15 or so are better than the inside spots. Be warned, this is a very dusty, sandy park. You will need a rug to keep from constantly tracking dirt into your RV. What little grass there is is not mowed. There is a dog park and playground for those with children or dogs. On our last night there they had a local band that played a concert in the pavilion for a couple hours. Although friendly staff, I would not stay here again due to it being so dirty and with such tight spots you will be very close to your neighbor. read more

First off this campground is beautiful... However... I would never stay here again. We were told that the park was under new management and it definitely shows. For those of you that have stayed here in the past and loved it, be prepared for a different environment. It is not the same place you remember. Be prepared upon check in to be placed in a site that may not accommodate your RV and when you ask for a bigger spot don't be surprised if you catch flak. The new manager is more worried about letting his friends stay then the actual public. The office personnel are full time residents that have no clue what they are doing, probably because they are frequently high. So if you do stay there make sure to check your bank statements to insure you get your deposit back. Most, not all of them are lying, two faced individuals trying to manipulate the system. They do not enforce the rules even when provided proof that residents were not picking up after their pets....so be prepared to step in dog poop. Lastly, if you are going to relax and take in the quiet, refreshing mountain air don't be surprised if that is disturbed by the loud parties, the smell of weed and off road vehicles driving through the park. If you are looking for a place to party, look no more. read more

Very crammed. The spaces had very little room for RVs and recreation space. Also don't get me started on the bathrooms. Dirty and out of date. The showers were big and spacious though, the only problem was they only produced one temperature of water that's it. My mom was taking a boiling hot shower in the middle of summer. I can't rave about this park enough. The staff is top notch. They are so friendly and knowledgeable. Also there is a lot of staff so that helps as there is someone always around to help. The park itself is beautiful, and I love the store there. It has all the necessities you could need. I highly recommend this park. I see a lot of people complaining about how cramped the spots are. I've never really been to an rv park that has huge spots. This is pretty normal in my experiences. If your wanting something with more space I wouldn't recommend an rv park. The spots here are pretty normally spaced not huge but not super cramped either. read more

Great park right along the Big Thompson River just outside of the main area of Loveland giving easy access to Rocky Mountain National Park just 30 minutes up the road. The park has a ton of trees and has a true camping vibe. It has a large portion of their sites for the short term campers set up along the river. These sites are all back in and go right to the edge of the river with a picnic table set up between the sites. The roads and sites are dirt and gravel and it can get dusty at times when there are several vehicles moving around. The staff was very friendly and accommodating for our changing plans. There were a lot of families with kids using the playground, volleyball and grass areas. Approximately half of the sites along the river give satellite reception, but most of the park will be blocked by the very large and mature trees. The wifi never worked well for us. Highly recommend! The river is peaceful and my puppy is really enjoying the walking trail along its edge. Thankful to Riverview RV Park for staying open during this crazy time. They've set up the park in a way that keeps us all safe and socially distant. Being displaced during the pandemic is really scary but they've allowed us a safe haven until the country reopens. I usually do not do negative reviews on RV parks because there is a lot that goes into running them, that said this was one of the worst check in experiences we have ever had. Showed up with a reservation I made on the phone 5 months prior and was told they did not have a spot for us because we are bigger than they accommodated for, even though I told them previously. I was informed they would try to 'accommodate' me but they had several reservations over the next two days, not taking into account my reservation. Had it not been a holiday weekend would never have stayed there. Location to Estes and Rocky Mountain Park were good but that was all I can say positive about our stay. read more

Neighbors are friendly. The ladies in the office are pretty snobby and will be quick to roll their eyes and talk about people. They do have a jungle gym for kids, which would be pretty nice, if they cut the grass in the summer. If you do have to stay somewhere, I recommend Fireside. It is owned by the same man, but the staff there seems more friendly. If you are working with people, you must be a people person!!! PROS: Friendly neighbors, lots of washers and dryers, nice dog area, and semi- kid friendly playground. CONS: Unfriendly office staff, over priced, tall grass in the summer ( which posses a problem with snakes), no concrete slabs at RV sites, and not so private bath house. read more

An overall spectacular experience at Riverview Rv Park. We pulled in several hours past office hours. Fortunately they knew we were coming so a couple of guys in a golf cart showed us to our space and helped us park in the dark. We realized the next morning that we were next to the office because we made our reservation that morning. They were booked for 2 days but then they moved us to a space next to The Big Thompson River. WOW! I can't say enough about how wonderful and peaceful it was. We relaxed, fished and relaxed some more. This rv park has full hookups for both 50 and 30 amps plus 20 tv channels and wireless internet. You get the best of both worlds here. The staff is professional and courteous. Actually more than that...they are simply nice and eager to provide good customer service! We would suggest to reserve early and get a space next to the river. The other spaces are a little tight. You will not regret this move. Spots 31 to 35 have a little deck that hangs over the river. Very cool. Spaces 23 & 24 have a little beach area perfect for fishing and if you have a back window in your rv your full view is the river! That's where we were and because of it stayed for 3 extra nights. Spaces 1-10 have a little rapid action in the river so it's noisier than the others. If that relaxes you then this where you want to be. We are going back this weekend and have reserved space #10 as it has everything...nice river sounds, great view and beach area for fishing. It was a toss up with the spaces with the decks. I think they refer to those as their premium river spaces. We brought our dogs with us and they even had a dog park. It worked out very well so they could get in a good run several times a day. The showers and laundry area are kept very clean and smell good. The last point I want to make is that the park is very secure. They have folks on duty 24 hours a day that make the rounds and have their eyes out. That's why we decided to rent a storage space there in lieu of Denver. We know that our rv and personal property is safe. This is my first review but had to do it as this is one of the greatest camp sites in Colorado. The rates are good, the people nice, the camp clean and the best part is the views are wonderful. You can fish right out of your site. If you don't have an rv bring your tent or rent one of their cabins and you'll have one of the best vacations that you've ever had. read more

Great place to stay. Perfect location between the mountains and downtown Loveland. Close to Ft. Collins too. Me and my wife and our dog have stayed here twice and we love it. Small dog park and access to the Big Thompson River. Definitely will be going back. read more

Great campground. Most of the spaces have large trees. The fit is a bit tight but pretty easy to get in. Our space backed up on the river as did many of the other spaces. The restrooms and showers were clean. The park in the middle of the campground was large enough for a kickball game along with swings, a climbing fort, 2 small basketball courts, and a good sized 'pavilion'. They had a live blues band playing at the pavilion the night we stayed. They were pretty good! One of the nicest places we stayed. read more

We stayed at this campground over the 4th of July. Our 9 year old granddaughter joined us. Soon after check in I went with her to playground area. There were 8 younger children playing as well. Not 12 feet away in campsite adjacent to play area were several young adults smoking weed. The smell drifted directly into play area. When I went to office to let them know, the manager informed me that the campground was private property and ( weed friendly). I attempted to explain the young children being so close to this activity was not acceptable. I told her at the very least advertise your park is 420 friendly. We have been going this this park for many years, we will not return. read more

Campground is semi nice and bathrooms are spotless but this place lacks proper communication. We made a reservation for an off river site on Saturday and got here late Sunday. (They are closed Sun-Mon and have no after hours phone or service) I called and emailed prior to arriving about us not having a site #. Since we were not assigned a site, we took a site off their after hours board, filled out the paperwork with all of our info and booking #. All the 'off river' sites were taken so we took the only other site with 30amp hook up which happened to be 'on river'. 2 days later (Tue), we went to the office/store and upon ringing us up, the girl at the front said we were set up for site 41, I told her we were currently at 21 because no one had informed us of this and two entire days had passed, she pointed at her notebook and said "yeah we just opened back up and we're backed up on getting back to people". I completely understood and she then said she would fix our site in the system to be at 21. We went about our day, the following day.. 2 different workers(no masks); (along with a letter taped to our rig) approach our rig to tell us to go to the office and pay for our stay. I explained the situation to both of them and they each said "oh ok no problem". I thought the problem was fixed but then I received a call from the manager (after I called 6 different times) and she then 'finally' fixed our site in the system. Now on the day we're leaving we receive an invoice for an extra $12.44 each day billed to our card. No communication about this charge was made. They never asked us to relocate or said there would be an up charge. The only good things about this park is their clean restrooms and there's good Tmobile service throughout, if you're looking to stay longer than a day.. I'd try other parks in the area. read more

We had a great stay. We originally were going to stay for 2 days and liked it so much we stayed for 10!! The office was great accommodating our needs. They had a band one Saturday night, we listed from outside RV it was great. Great walking area for my dog and we had a great time trying to catch some trout. We'll be back. read more
