We went to this restaurant on our first day in town and then only ate breakfast here for the rest of our trip. it's very clearly a small mom and pop place. The inside is quaint and filled with eclectic decor; even though you may be close to another table the owner works to get you seated and fed quickly with nice portion sizes. The service won't be regulated and pre made like at any chain breakfast establishment. What I assume is the owner/cook was shy at first but once you get him talking he really is a nice guy. He mentioned to us that his morning staff was late so it may be a few extra minutes, there were a few people already dining. We didn't even notice. The food came out hot and fresh and quick, the eggs were sooooo fluffy, the French toast was divine, and my ham steak was cooked perfectly.The salsa in the rice plate was super good in combination with the rest of it (eggs, rice, meats). My family and I went to breakfast here a couple weeks ago on a Sunday. There wasn't a wait and the food was very good. All the food was good and I highly recommend the breakfast fried rice dish. The place is kind of hard to find. It's tucked in a consignment shop on a pier. We visited the shops in the building while we waited for our food. The space that houses the restaurant is dimly lit but clean and has cute decorations. The service was kind of weird but we never had to wait long for anything. read more

If you're a late riser or looking for something with a bit more pizzazz, try Tapitio under the bridge in Uniontown and get the sunrise enchiladas or huevos rancheros.
