It's tucked just off the beaten path, adored by the locals, and serves some of the freshest, most delicious food you'll find on the Oregon Coast. Come prepared with three things: cash, an appetite, and a little patience. They don't take reservations--you simply write your name on the waiting list and relax while you wait. Trust me, it's worth every minute. We waited about 25 minutes, and after eating here, we understood exactly why there's always a line. In fact, we loved it so much that we came back two mornings in a row! The warm marionberry scones, fresh from the oven, are absolutely unforgettable. They're easily twice the size of a traditional scone, making them perfect for sharing, and every bite is buttery, tender, and bursting with sweet marionberries. I ordered the mushroom and Tillamook cheddar omelet with breakfast potatoes, and it was outstanding. The mushrooms were perfectly sautéed, the Tillamook cheddar was rich, fresh, and flavorful, and the potatoes tasted like they had been prepared that very morning before being crisped to perfection when ordered. Every bite tasted homemade. Our waitress had customer service down to a science--friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The restaurant itself is wonderfully cozy, with just a handful of tables upstairs and additional seating downstairs. That intimate atmosphere means your food arrives incredibly fast. Ours was piping hot and on the table within just a few minutes of ordering. One thing to know before you go--they're cash only. Honestly, I can appreciate that. In a busy tourist town where credit card fraud is an unfortunate reality, it's a simple system that clearly works well for them. If you're looking for an unforgettable breakfast, brunch, or lunch, The Lazy Susan absolutely belongs on your list. Just when we thought the experience couldn't get any better, our waitress casually asked if we'd like dessert. I laughed and said, "You have desserts?" She pointed to the homemade dessert menu, and we couldn't resist taking home a slice of the chocolate silk pie and the peanut butter pie AND Oh my heavens....Each was incredibly rich and velvety--almost like an indulgent cheesecake--with homemade flavor in every bite. They became the perfect mid-afternoon treat, and now I already have an excuse to come back because I can't wait to work my way through the rest of the dessert menu. THIS is the place you want to have brunch or lunch if you're in Cannon Beach, or the surrounding area. The food is always delicious. I've been there many times, and I've never had a bad meal. And if you had a problem, they would quickly resolve it. It's owned by the hardest-working woman I've ever met. She is always there to greet you with a warm and welcoming smile. I believe she started as a waitress. Then she bought the business, and now she also owns the building. I adore the sometimes-available lemon waffle, though in winter I really like the gingerbread one. I don't eat eggs Benedict, but my friends always love them. Love their lattes, and I am a coffee snob! Their scones are to die for. So take a couple home with you. The only downside is that it's terribly popular, so you will have to wait outside. It's very tight quarters. So if you're claustrophobic, this is not the place for you. They only take cash, but there's a cash machine across the street. I think they're always Open, which is amazing to me. If I'm really being picky, I wish she would update the interior and offer pagers so I could walk around. read more

Got the marionberry scone to share (very good but use some salt and oddly, more marionberry flavor), salmon quiche (very good, the bran muffin it comes with was surprisingly excellent but maybe a bit too sweet?), and a latte (decent). My partner got the mushroom omelette (good but nothing to write home about). The side potatoes are decent. I'd have given it 4 stars but my partner gave it 3, and I disagree with such a mid review because this place is worth it, so 5 it is. There are a ton of restaurants around canon beach but not a lot of them open or cater for breakfast. This location is one of a few and there are definitely stand out aspects but also areas I found lacking. Starting with the good stuff, service and ambiance are top notch. It may not have anyu ocean views despite being on canon beach, but the vibes are great. It's small and quaint. There's both indoor and out door seating depending on the weather. And the service was fantastic. Despite only having one server while we were there she was super friendly and approachable. One thing worth noting, since there aren't many other breakfast spots, you should probably plan to wait for 20-30 minutes since this is a relatively small establishment. I think this is totally reasonable and not a fault of the restaurant or service. Truth be told I found the food to be the weakest part of the restaurant. My wife had the eggs benedict, and I had the ham omellete. Both were relatively plain in execution, with nothing really worth noting. I also understand pricing tends to be higher around the coast, but it just felt a little underwhelming. The omellete wasn't super fluffy and kinda fell flat. The bacon, in my opinion, was over done, although I know some people really like super crispy bacon. read more

Chairs and tables tucked into a very cute cottage. This restaurant has a very friendly staff. We got there a couple minutes after opening and the tables were already filling. The waffle Special of the day was the gingerbread waffle which was delicious with the perfectly ripened pear on top. The omelets too...a gentleman at the next table remarked "this is the best omelet I've ever had". Another in our party had the shrimp omelet and enjoyed that. The poached eggs had the orangest yolk I've seen in a restaurant in a very long time. It is cash only and the waitress who was also gluten free said everything was except the bread and hollandaise sauce. A great set of options for a celiac. Came here to grab breakfast before going to Cannon Beach. Giving some grace as the restaurant was very busy on a Saturday morning. The wait outside was about 30 minutes, then once we were seated and put our orders in, they seemed to have forgotten about us as our food came out very late and cold. The next sign is "Cash Only" (we were told we could cross the street to an ATM if necessary) Their motto was felt through out the experience. We were rushed with a falsetto hello and goodbye, the expresso machine was broken and I was chastised for trying to order an Americano, my crab benedict was lukewarm and oversalted, the tables are crowded together, and when my disabled husband asked for the bathroom, he was pointed up a twisty step staircase without acknowledgement of his cane and the difficulty. You cannot go wrong with their flavorful and savory eggs benedict, and I got one of their current specials which was a gingerbread waffle topped with lemon sauce, sliced pear, and yogurt. At one of our favorite Cannon Beach restaurants, we unfortunately had a bizarrely bad experience, Monday Dec 29, 2025. we ordered breakfast, started eating, my dinning partner opened the jam in the squeeze bottle on the table & it exploded, smelled terrible, shot out, landing in her eye, hair, the table and the guy & table behind her, scared the heck out of us. kept trying to get the servers attention, they would not come over, when they did, they offered a bleach water towel to wipe her face off, WTH?? she ran to the bathroom upstairs, wash her eye out and they took the jam bottle saying the people before us must of shook it up??? when she came back, they asked her/us if we were finished with our breakfast, not once asking if she was ok, and it was clearly our fault for the bottle exploding??? Then after waiting for a while, they brought the check, for the full amount. when we ask why they were not at least comp her meal, they said she had eaten it and the jam was not their fault, then they said pay what you want. they would comp if the food was bad but not the jam they did not make it?? truly a sad day for us, this was a favorite place that showed no responsibility/compassion or concern for what happened, nor would the owner come over to talk with her, they just wanted us out of there quickly, sadly we will not be back to one of our long-time favorites. read more

Cosy home, mom and pop feel of a breakfast brunch place. Small size overall but can fit a party up to 4-5 people. Takes you back in time feel while they serve you unlimited refills on coffees. There is usually a special for every day, ask about them. Quiche comes with a side of stuff, my friend really enjoyed it. Cooked really well. I got their most popular omelette dish and a side of fruit, they gave a good amount. Bathrooms are upstairs. The servers are very nice. We were very disappointed today. We have been here about 10 times before and things have gone downhill badly. My wife ordered broccoli ham quiche and not only did it not have any crust, it was also flavorless and very small. Nowhere on the menu did it say the quiche did not have any crust and they also raised the price by $3.00. The potatoes were equally flavorless and tasted like they had been sitting for days. I ordered the ham and cheese omelette, and the egg part was paper thin and flavorless as well. The only good thing about this place is the Marion berry scone. I had forgotten about the 'Cash Only' discrepancy, so when we arrived to place our names on the wait list, we had to count our cash on hand!! Needless to say, when we were seated, we had to make some hard decisions, lol. We would have ordered more, but with $55 dollars total on hand (and considering a good tip) we weren't able to enjoy our meal as much as we could have, our mistake. The service by Yasmine was Exceptional. She was very friendly and punctual. We appreciated her kindness to all the patrons she took care of. The restaurant itself felt cramped. I would have liked more space between tables. The decor was old school traditional and sweet. The food we ordered, as seen in pictures, tasted okay, nothing spectacular.
