I like this place. First, the music was really, really good. We especially liked the Meadows Brothers. The first thing we noticed was that sound was perfect. So often you go to a place like this and it is way too loud or totally distorted. Their setup was crystal clear. Food and drinks were fine with great service. And it's a cute place right downtown with plenty of handy parking. Nashua is lucky! Next time I'll be trying the coffee. read more

Great coffee, great food and fabulous atmosphere! Had some breakfast with some friends who live in Nashua and couldn't have been happier with our experience. Although I did not confirm that it was the owner, I'm pretty sure he was out and about in the coffee shop and could not have been a nicer guy! My friends were more than satisfied with their breakfast sandwiches - two had the pastrami on the homemade croissant and the other enjoyed an egg and cheese on the homemade biscuit. I ventured for the lighter fare, with the homemade granola which was excellent! With a fabulously designed dining area, both the food and ambiance were top notch! We love the espresso beverages and the cozy atmosphere--perfect for a weekend caffeine fix. We've also been blown away by a tasty peach scone. It would be fun to try additional baked goods on upcoming visits. The staff is friendly though can appeared a bit harried. The ingredients seem fresh and healthy which can result in a limited selection or missing items. We had mixed reviews on the espresso martinis. They're unique and not sweet. The sandwiches are great. We'll be back. Bonus point: live music. read more

Urban coffee house ambience, feels more like you are in Cambridge(Ma.) than Nashua. Superb handmade sandwiches as well as plenty of coffee/tea selections and bottled beer. Small stage with some live folk-style music. Very cozy and friendly, one of the best things to happen to downtown Nashua in a while. read more

Great place for meeting a friend or having coffee and reading a book. I love the expanded space and stool seating along the wall! Great coffee with a friendly clientele and vibe. The service can be a bit slow, but it is worth the wait. Wish they were open late every evening, and not just until 6pm like some of the nights, as this is a great post-work hang out, especially if you are not one to do the bar scene. read more

Staff is always friendly. The coffee is delicious and so are the breakfast sandwiches. I've only ever visited for breakfast so I cannot comment on the rest of their food. Be sure to try some of their homemade granola. read more

This cafe has a great vibe. I went on a Sunday and three men were playing some awesome Celtic music. The first room that you have to walk through to order is quieter than the other portion of the cafe and better lit from natural sunlight. The other portion is a bit more hectic because a band may be playing and the tables are set up very closely and randomly. I ordered the Greek hummus wrap with a latte. It's a bit pricey in my opinion, and while the coffee is very good it's not the best. A bit too weak for my liking. The wrap was flavorful but nothing special, and at least half of it was just lettuce. My boyfriend ordered an iced mocha latte and a turkey melt with no tomato. He was given a hot mocha latte and a turkey melt with tomato. He drank it anyways and said it wasn't a big deal, and pulled out the tomatoes (he's not allergic). Even thought he didn't really care much about the small order errors, I still think it's important for a cafe to get orders right. With all of that said, I'm not sure if I'll be returning any time soon. read more

Really bad service. The barista's do not make eye contact, they mumble when asking for your order, and there is literally no life in anyone who works there. For an independent coffee shop, I expect more vibrancy, community, and enjoyment. Poor service will not make a return customer. read more

Met some long time friends here for dinner. Asian bowl and kale salad low cal and yummy! Atmosphere had a cafe on one side and bar on the other. Latin band was very good, space for dancing and not so loud you cannot talk. Family's were in cafe up to 10pm. read more

I'm a sports bar type of guy. But I love the coffee shop atmospheres. Went here last night after Fody's and it was kind of dead but the bartenders were really friendly and good to talk to. It is a great chill bar/coffee shop. They have a wide variety of drinks both coffees and liquor/beers. For this type of bar and the types of beer it was really well priced. This café roasts their own coffee and has a full bar! Prices are not cheap but definitely not unreasonable. Whether you are looking for a nice place to study, somewhere to grab a casual lunch, or somewhere to see live local music this has it all. The beer selection isn't huge, but the beers they do have are good (no Bud Lite). The noise level is moderate (at least during the day), so it is conducive to a meeting or studying. read more

Yummy food BAD service. Slow, plates and silverware dirty from server getting his hands dirty while serving the pastries. Came once before and there were at least four people working behind the bar and they could not complete one order. When my friend finally got tired of waiting for her coffee, she asked about it and they thought it was a new order. They'd already charged her but they were all looking at each other thinking someone else (besides the four of them, I guess) was getting her coffee! No apologies, just dazed and confused. Probably won't be in business long. Too bad, nice location, comfortable chairs, wifi and good pastries. read more

This place not only makes great fancy drinks, their plain coffee is the best, it has ruined me for other coffee. I am very fond of their feta biscuit sandwich, and their bagel with lox and avocado. At night, the music and drinks are great, unusual drinks, and blues and blue grass, or other such music, not filled with kids, there is a good mix, and folks 25-60 with good taste in music are found. I also would like to suggest you try the cheese bread balls, a nice savory bite. read more

I have lived in Nashua for awhile now... knew Riverwalk during the previous owner (and own a few Riverwalk branded hats too)... and I visit less now during it's current owner. The new owner has expanded the space as well and it's offerings, which is great. The space, however, is disjointed. The once main room has expanded around the corner to have multiple spaces for 1) sunny reading, computer, coffee sipping to 2) huge coffee/food bar and ordering counter to 3) dark, crowded dining area with a small stage in the corner. For first-timers... when you walk in... you have no idea where to go. It's only after you walk around the corner where you find the main counter. Granted, it's in a "historical" building at the tip of downtown Nashua... but I think the layout is a little weird. The location is great (easy to get to), but parking is very limited, A cool culture... feeling a little bohemian, artsy but disjointed. The previous owner was friendly, jovial, chatted with you as he made your drink (sandwiches were made in the back). However, I have yet to meet the current owner... I've seen him on-site; actually walked past him on several occasions... but he has never engaged me as a customer nor said hello at all. He has his business cards on the counter (he's a lawyer). The coffee is good, micro roasted on site (i do prefer another brand... not DD). Food is good... I did find the breakfast sandwich a little heavy... sandwiches are big and tasty. Beer and wine selection is limited... which I understand, it's tough to please everyone. read more

I've been going to Riverwalk for years now, through different owners, from when it was just coffee and pastry to it's expansion into a music club. I can't say enough about it. From the personal touches of a family owned business, to the exceptional entertainment programming, this is my favorite go to place in the city. I'm an older music lover, and have been waiting for years for a venue that brings jazz, blues and creative fusions to the area. Other venues in town are good for a younger crowd but don't cater to my taste. The fact that Riverwalk is packed on most nights attests to the fact that there are others with similar taste. And great high quality drinks and specialty drinks. The staff is warm and friendly and goes out of their way to make your experience memorable. Lovely breakfast sandwich. I had the veggie. Good coffee. The "ambiance" could improve. It is 10 on a Saturday morning. Very upbeat jazz is playing from the speakers. It's a bit too loud and a bit too presto for morning. Turn it down and I might give another star. Customers who want to chat have to speak up, which kind of wrecks the read-the-paper or work quietly-while-drinking-coffee ambiance I expected. (Just moved to get away from the chatty person next to us who'd turned up her own volume to be heard over the music.) Coffee orders are shouted out, which ranges from okay to annoying. If the counter staff remembers you, they bring your food. If not, expect a food-holding server to shout out a name. "Order for Matt." "Order for Susan...order for Susan." They might try giving you a number to put on your table and then finding you, 'twould be more genteel. Full bar on display. Seems like a great place to drink and listen to live music at night. read more

the coffee is wonderful but the service is slow and horrible.. its not a place to run in and out of. if you have ten minutes to wait in line before you even order your drink and then wait another ten minutes just to get your drink then by all means go there. its a shame because it is a very cool place but the owners need to get a more trained and experienced staff instead of kids read more
