I've heard a lot of good things about this place since they opened and my husband and I were really happy to get to finally try it. We went on a Thursday evening and it was pretty busy. The ambiance inside is a bit rundown but clearly they have a lot of loyal patrons who enjoy going there. There's a small bar, a jukebox, a lotto machine and a handful of tables inside. The bar/restaurant area connects to another room with pool tables and dartboards. There were a few people behind the counter and the young woman who took our order was super polite and accommodating to our order requests (ex: switching the fries out for onion rings}. I got a turkey club dinner, my husband got a super beef and we got a small order of wings to share. Turkey club: sandwich was HUGE. There was a lot of nice crispy bacon on it and the amount of turkey was also generous. The turkey was the kind of deli turkey that has a kind of soft, gelatinous texture as opposed to sliced turkey breast. Despite this, the flavor of everything was excellent. Typically club sandwiches come with fries but they happily substituted them out for onion rings when I asked, I was disappointed to see that the type of onion rings they have is my least favorite because the batter often falls off and the onion stays too crunchy but I threw them into the air fryer when I got home which softened up the onion and after adding some salt they were pretty good. Super beef sandwich: again, this sandwich was HUGE. The sauce on it was great; tangy and a just little spicy. There was a huge portion of roast beef on the sandwich but both my husband and I thought it was shaved a bit too thin as there was hardly no texture to the roast beef when you ate it. If there was a little more texture to the beef it probably would have been an A+ but instead it was more of a B. Chicken wings: we got a small order which included 7 wings. (Side rant - I dislike when restaurants include odd #s of items in an order because it's a nuisance when sharing with another person but that's just a personal pet peeve.). We both really enjoyed the wings. They were just your typical "wing dings" that you find at most New England sub shops but they were crispy, juicy and tasty. Overall I think Zo's Place is worth checking out. We'll definitely be going back to try a few more items on the menu. read more

I go to the restroom to wash up, and there is no soap in the dispenser. Not that it was empty, there was no bag, meaning it had been a long time since there was soap. Zo's Place opened in Nashua, at the corner of Main St & W Hollis St, in the former Seven Star Pizza space. Zo's Place is operated by the same owners as Niki's Famous Roast Beef in North Andover, MA. The menu offerings here include roast beef sandwiches, subs, pizza, pasta, dinner plates, appetizers, bowls, and cold drinks from the cooler. The place is order at the counter with overhead digital menu screens, table seating and a small full service bar with seating in the same cozy room. There is a pool table and more seating in the adjacent room. I stopped by Zo's Place on grand opening day since I wanted a Northshore roast beef sandwich and a specialty pizza too. The place was busy when I arrived here around 9pm. The person running the front counter and register seemed to be still learning things and trying to keep up with getting orders ready and out the door. I ordered a Small Philly Cheesesteak Pizza ($13.99 plus tax) and a Jr Roast Beef ($5 special) with American cheese (add $0.70) and James River BBQ sauce (they ran out of horseradish). Despite being extremely busy, my Jr Roast Beef came out in 10 minutes, nicely presented with a mound of soft rare roast beef over an American cheese slice and smothered with spicy James River BBQ sauce between a toasted sesame seed bun. This is the real deal and I will probably get a 3 way Super Beef next time. My pizza was all set in 24 minutes after ordering. The pizza was very loaded with shaved steak, onions, green peppers, mushrooms, red sauce, and melted cheese on top of a firm thin crust. The crust became a bit soggy from the generous amount of tasty hot toppings. I ended up packing up half the food to enjoy later at home. The owner also stopped by to check on things and told me I actually got the last roast beef sandwich of the day and turnout was higher than they expected. The owner told me he was going to make changes at this Nashua location to make it a nicer atmosphere than its predecessor, similar to their other location Niki's. read more

I went back for the first time in a while... they charged extra for the provolone and the sauce that is already supposed to come on it... they don't seem to understand that Italian food automatically comes with sauce... Being from the North Shore, I wanted to love this place. I ordered for takeout, 2 super beefs 3-way and onion rings since they didn't have any pizza rolls. We were both excited as they looked delicious but we were so disappointed. The meat tasted gamey or something... it didn't taste right at all. We both ended up throwing away our entire sandwiches. The onion rings were good but we both lost our appetite after the roast beef. They had just opened within the past couple of couple of weeks so maybe they're still working out the kinks. Have ordered delivery to Hudson a few times. I won't comment on the pizza and subs because the house is divided on the items ordered. I can review the beef. Super beef, if the sandwich comes as ordered, fricken delicious. Nice toast on the onion roll, beef to bun ratio 5/5, served warm with the perfect pink color you want, cheese on bottom where you want it. Just the right amount of mayo! I get the JR bbq sauce on the side. Call me crazy but I prefer to control the amount. If you're a fan of a great NSB, you'll be happy with the beefs Zo's is serving up. Strangely, they screwed up the order 2 times out of 4. Happily, it wasn't my beefs but it was another member of the household so until he gets his the way he ordered it, he has no comment. I did reach out twice to let them know but never got a response. While it certainly isn't a deal breaker, just be aware of it. I called in and ordered a large cheese pizza, on a Tuesday. this is significant, as their takeout menus have a coupon for a large cheese pizza, only $9.99...but since I didn't know about it, I was charged $13.99. Poor business practice in my opinion. The background noise was so bad, I couldn't hear them, and they couldn't hear me. Now, to the food itself. Honestly, the pizza was just marginal. Some parts of the pizza were very thick dough, while other parts were thin. The flavor was ok, nothing special. You can get an adequate pizza anywhere, don't waste your time at Zo's. The place is a bar/pizza joint. I went in the middle of the day, the music was so loud it was difficult to hear. Basically, the place had nothing going for it. I am thrilled that Zo's is offering real North Shore style food in Nashua!!! Upon moving here after having lived in the North Shore most of my life I found myself missing the type of takeout I was accustomed to (and now realizing completely spoiled by). Their sister restaurant Niki's in North Andover was always a go to especially on busy nights since their location has amazing food, efficient service and a super convenient drive through Zo's Place is changing the food game in Nashua! Having now tried them I can tell you they brought the same quality and flavor from the North Shore that can't be mistaken. I obviously had to order a super beef 3 way and it hit the mark completely! For those of you who aren't familiar with what this sandwich should be I will tell you. A truly great roast beef should be warm and thinly shaved. Getting a "super" means ordering a large but in most cases the only way it comes on an onion roll and yes, it absolutely makes a difference. 3 way indicates that you want it with cheese, mayo and most importantly James River bbq sauce. This is a tangy bbq sauce which elevates the flavor of the beef and getting mayo and cheese is the perfect trifecta. If you are going to try one for the first time I highly recommend you get it the way the beef gods intended and order it this way. If the restaurant truly prides itself on being a roast beef joint the sandwich is going to be big and it's going to be messy! If the bbq sauce isn't flowing down the sides then they don't care about you So in conclusion the ideal roast beef sandwich is ordered as a "super beef 3 way" and what you should expect to get is an onion roll that has been toasted till the edges are buttery gold, a slather of mayo, a generous portion of warm thinly shaved rare beef, cheese that has started to melt onto the beef and James River rolling down every side. Don't be afraid now This is supposed to be messy and you will have it all over your hands and face.... It's fine! Embrace the magic I also got a chicken kabob salad that was terrific and again, made the way I know and love. The house dressing is the only one I ever get bc it's the best and my personal go to is to chop a little bit of everything and make a pita pocket. This is a large salad so you can easily enjoy it twice They marinate their chicken so it is juicy and full of flavor and then give it a nice char on the grill. This has to be the BEST Massachusetts North Shore style roast beef, sub, and pizza joint to come to Nashua EVA. The absolute best roast beef I have had since moving here 10 years ago. My wife got the super chicken sandwich and I almost ate half of it myself, It was amazing. The portions are so large I feel like I'm going to explode. My family tried this place once that is the last time we will ever be eating at this place. My whole family got food poisoning . someone I know works here and they report the boss being abusive not to mention got hit on the job and the boss did nothing. The boss bully's them but begs them to stay when they threaten to quit. Also the legal age to work as a minor is 7am and 9pm and my friend works past 9 and even 11 sometimes that's not legal at all. Don't waste your time coming here maybe if they get a new boss this review would be more acceptable. read more
