My husband did a pick up order for us and had a good experience inside. The owner was nice, but unfortunately we ordered on a day when the only person working was the owner. The wait was a little slow. They were sold out of other items we wanted to try like stewed chicken and the plaintain sandwich (probably because it is so good). We loved everything. We went an hour before closing on a Friday. This place is as much authentic Puerto Rican food you can find outside of Puerto Rico. We order almost everything and we loved that most was made upon order. I didn't give it a five star since the French fries we ordered had two pieces of pork and we mentioned that the French fries had to be pork free since the person in our group is allergic to pork. I ordered the rice bowls from the catering menu. 10-15 people there was tons of food with leftovers. it was cooked to perfection, we picked it up and put it right on the table. Spot on flavors! We ordered a chipotle chicken burrito with white rice, black beans and all the toppings- tomato salsa, lettuce, creama, etc... it was large! It was perfectly seasoned! Made hot and fresh to order. Absolutely delicious! Two of us split it and we were quite satisfied. However, we also got two chicken and two beef empanadas. Wow! They were stuffed with perfectly seasoned meat. Flaky crust. Not oily or heavy at all. All this great food for $21. We we so happy we finally tried Rice and Beans! We are definitely going back. So much better under the new ownership. I swung in today on an impulse, and grabbed a rice bowl with grilled chicken. Holy frijole! I'm glad I did. This place has what we need in NH! I would travel into MA to get Dominican food, but now this is right in the neighborhood! The place just opened 3 weeks ago, and I just heard about this place from friends this past weekend. As I walked in, a guy behind the glass food serving area happily greeted "welcome to rice & beans" as I was looking at the pretty tropical painted walls. He had a lot of good energy, and you can tell the joy and pride he has for his food and restaurant, which is truly evident in the quality of his food. I took food to go this week, and the food was absolutely delicious! I only tried a limited selection as they sold out in majority of the meats, except for the fried chicken which was very good. We also got black beans and rice, white rice with the red beans/squash, cheese pastelitos (beef and chicken were sold out), tostones, and platano maduros. Everythjng was very good! We also had the tres leche and flan for dessert, and both were amazing! Also had the fresh limeade, which was perfect! Everything is freshly made, and that was very noticeable; we enjoyed every bite! The kids asked why I didn't get more of everything, and truth is they ran out of a lot of the menu items! However, their Vegetable Rice and Stewed Beans are delicious and filling! Their Mixed Cheese Pastelitos, both varieties of Plantains (sweet and savory), and Yuca Fries are some of my favorite side dishes. Additionally, the Tres Leches Cake is worth the trip on its own, but only if you arrive early enough to get a slice. That's ok I order a plate with yellow rice and chicken $12,00 and some change you know Uncle Sam I ordered two and a couple other things I pay then after I pay he remember that he had no chicken. So my choice is pork. Pork's not for everyone if I wanted it I would order it. Well my first experience was good but not my second. Wish you luck glad you care more about your customers. Had lunch at Rice & Beans 603 today and couldn't be happier! I had the Cubano with the rice and beans, and it was delicious! My wife had the tacos and raved about them. We also ordered empañadas to take home, and they were amazing! I wanted to try their flan, but they were out. I'll be going back to try it because I'm convinced it's going to be the best!
