DENTAL HUSTLERS!!! GET A SECOND OPINION!!! I went in for a routine cleaning, which the staff rushed through, took x-rays and reviewed the results with me. I was told that I had 9 cavities, two of which they would try to do fillings for, but would most likely be root canals. I was shocked, I have great dental hygiene and have never had any major problems or reasons for concern. How could I need 2 Root Canals, when I'm not in any pain? I sought a second opinion, and thank god I did! The second dentist, who I am seeing now saw me for a consult and cleaning. What they found was that I did not have 9 cavities, nor 2 root canals. I had 1 previous filling that needed a little repair work, and 1 new cavity in need of a minor surface filling. COULD YOU IMAGINE WHAT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED IF I LET RIVERWALK WORK ON ME?!?!?!?!?!? The pain, time and cost involved in a list of procedures like that! I would never see or recommend this practice. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!! read more

Very unprofessional stuff!!!! Worse than average outcome... very disappointed! Being a doctor myself, I expect any medical associates to demonstrate a certain degree of professionalism. Unfortunately this was not the case in this clinic. I was there for teeth whitening and throughout the entire appointment I had a feeling that they can't wait to kick me out. Girls who worked with me never introduced themselves or attempted to be polite. The dentist (I assume that the young girls I saw were not doctors) never showed up even to say hi. The service was worse than average and my teethe went up on just one shade after an hour Zoom! I did teeth whitening before and I had way more improvement after a 30 mins session, so I am thinking they might be using low quality materials. Where do I start? Recently moved to the area and was looking for a dentist. Read good reviews about the practice so decided to try it out. 1. When I made the initial appointment I specifically told them that I was pregnant and only wanted a cleaning. I even indicated on the paperwork the day of my appointment that I was pregnant in the section where they ask you if you are pregnant, and yet the dental hygienist proceeded to take X-rays, not even bothering to read the info on the paperwork they make you fill out. 2. Office appears unprofessional and the staff are not really welcoming. 3. The dentist was nice, but the hygienist I felt didn't do a good job with the cleaning. 4. The entire visit was short which was fine and at the end I asked if they had a goodie bag with a toothbrush and floss...etc that they give patients. The receptionist informed me that they ran out! Been meaning to write this review for a long time. Went here in late August, 2012, to use a Living Social deal on Zoom Teeth Whitening. The staff is very friendly and the Dentist, Dr. Maha, came and greet me immediately after sitting in the chair. Many places, the dentist doesn't even get involved with the teeth whitening procedures. She was friendly, informative, and patient with several of my questions. They have TV's that you can watch while you're getting procedures done. They also did not try to upsell me on anything else. In addition, they made the take-home trays for me which I did not expect to receive given it wasn't listed as part of the LivingSocial Voucher. I saw Dr. Blaibel. She was really great and nice. Very gentle with my teeth and respectful of my wishes for her to give me a break when I needed one (during the cleaning processes.) Professionalism and Bedside Manner: My last experience with a dentist at another practice was horrible. They made fun of my retainer and pushed invasalign sales tactics on me. Not so at this practice! Dr. Blaibel was nice and asked me if I was happy with my retainer. I said it was fine and she said okay and moved on. She was gentle with my mouth and gums and did not hurt me. Wait Time: Maybe 5 minutes! I made my appointment AND filled out my paperwork online on zocdoc.com. They had my paperwork already printed out and waiting for me. All I had to do was check the papers and make sure everything was right and then I had to sign. Decor: The thing that stood out to me was how dirty and old the chairs in the waiting room looked. If I could suggest some changes to this dental office, investing in some nice furniture would be my advice! They also have nice tv's. One in the waiting room and two in the exam room (one is on the ceiling!) When I went there, a hilarious soap was on the tv, so that was entertaining. Equipment: Looks to be pretty decent. What do I know about dental equipment? Seemed to be working fine. The only thing I didn't like was the dust on one of the xray machines. Pain: They seemed to be thorough and it was very quick, thank God! I hate getting my teeth cleaned! There was no pain at all, except for a couple times the cold water hitting one of my teeth was bothering me. It's a bummer they couldn't have used a little warmer water but I'm not sure if that's even possible. I don't know how a dental office is ran and how the plumbing works and all that. Conclusion: I thought it was great! My cleaning went very smoothly. I will definitely be returning again to this dental practice. Needed a mouth guard and they fitted me. They said it would also only take a week. I waited two weeks and called. They said they had it there and just hadn't called me. When I requested to pick it up, they said that I had to see a dentist to put it in and that no dentist was there. This was not good service at all. read more

Let's put it this way: I have bad teeth, I'll blame it on my genes! really. I have been to many dentists offices, I had many cavities, teeth pulled out and others crowned in! I know dentists' procedures really well and I am familiar with the pain, waiting, agony and anxiety of being in a dentist's office. Two years ago my good friend recommended Dr Maha and I visited her because of the great deal on teeth cleaning she had then. I would never ever let any other dentist touch my mouth after her, she's got a very light hand, when she started taking her gloves off, I couldn't believe she was done! First of all, the receptionist is awesome on the phone and she always gets me an appointment that fits in my busy schedule, I never waited in the waiting room (great time management) and on the dentist chair, I realized that she uses all the new equipment that other dentists should have and should use to make my life easy, This dentist has a special rubber piece that she inserts in your mouth and it minimizes the discomfort of opening your mouth, I didn't even have to open my mouth much really! can it get better. After going to her for a year and half, I finally decided to get my veneer smile done and I did, it's the best thing that I ever did for myself, I'm always smiling, now my smile is wider, brighter and most importantly: Beautiful :) I recommend Dr Maha for all my friends and family and she always does a great job, she has specials for everyone and she is super fast and efficient. read more

This place should get no stars, I was just there for a root canal, I have been in excruciating pain and I told the dentist that it takes me awhile to get numb, she gave me three Novocain shots and said if I wasn't numb in two minutes, she wasn't going to do it and was just going to transfer me to a specialist. This is pretty much patient abandonment. The Dentist Maha Blaibel was extremely rude. I also told them not to charge my insurance because they didn't do anything and they said they were still going to do it. I brought my own X-rays taken a few days earlier and they still forced me to take new X-rays and said they would not charge me for them. Well I called my insurance and they did charge me for the X-rays and a full exam which they never did!!!! DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST. read more

The staff is very friendly and the receptionist (Julia) went above and beyond to make my kids visit to the dental quite the experience. Dr. Blaibel was great with my young son (2 years old) and a dentist that fit my needs just fine as I rarely have any dental issues. She tends to be in and out rather quickly, so I can't say she seems to be all that thorough, but again, for a person with limited dental issues, she's was great for my dental maintenance. The reason why my family and I will no longer be patients of this practice is how incredibly unremarkable the front desk staff is, primarily the young woman (I didn't catch her name) who had checked me in on the Saturday's I had previously gone in. This last time, after failing to call and notify me the morning of my appointment that my insurance change hadn't taken place yet (like she said she would when insurance verification was checked the morning of), what really got me was her unsympathetic and blasé attitude regarding her very own mistake in this situation. Had she been able to show some genuine remorse that she failed to keep me informed of my insurance status, I might have not pulled my family from the practice that day. Everyone makes mistakes, but not recognizing a mistake appropriately is a sure sign of lack of customer service etiquette. Your experience at a place of business starts when you walk in the door, so if you choose this practice for your dental care needs, be prepared to feel as though you are imposing on a inadequate front desk staff who are poorly patient driven. read more

I had an appointment for 6:00pm and I called to tell the location at 5:45pm that I would be there at 6:04pm the receptionist said that I would have to reschedule because I was four minutes late. I replied are you serious? The receptionist said yes (not sure if she was trying to get off early because I was the last appointment) but I couldn't believe this. She said that I had to fill out new client papers (which I didn't know or think would have taken maybe all of seven minutes long) and the wavier I knew about to say that have to reschedule. She said that she will take care of it. I also ask if your office send three to for reminders why wouldn't it say that arrive early to fill out wavier, and new client information? Dr. Maha Blaibel replied to me and said IT'S ONLY COMMON SENSE that you would have to fill out new client papers. I was so upset that she said this and this was my first time going to this dentist threw Groupon. The office door is closed, so I called to the office and was informed that the office is closed. I left the message to ask why my appointment is scheduled but office is closed. Then, I got a call from front desk until 11:00 am says that they exactly open at 10:00 am, which I don't believe. Should they open 10 minutes earlier before appointment time?
