If you need quiet room to sleep, do Not choose a room with any view of parking lot, trash bin or a gas station as you will hear it all and get little sleep!

We have stayed at this hotel many times before and never had any issues - there must be new management/staff. Be careful and think twice about staying here. My friend decided that her first tea was enough for the day and was given a tea bag of her choice to take home. I noticed that the decorations had changed since my last visit, which gave the place a different vibe. It felt like visiting a new tea parlor. This time, instead of soup, we were served a salad. It was a good salad. I requested honey for my tea, as I saw others having it and it was not on the table. I did not particularly care for some of the tea sandwiches offered this month. The rest of the food, and particularly my scone, were good. I would come back again but will pay close attention to the menu offered.

An apology and explanation of what happened would have gone a long way, but nope, not happening. The next morning at checkout, the manager did apologize and comped us one night. Have stayed here about 4 times over the past few years visiting our children at summer camp. The owners, Janet and Doug, are wonderfully friendly and charming folks who I have really enjoyed getting to know. Their home is a lovely old farm house with a great deal of charm; lots of antiques, some low ceilings, creaky floors, antique locks on the doors, etc. The rooms are small, but comfortable. You'll find a few cob webs and a little dust, but this is a trifle. Janet makes a cooked-to-order breakfast often asking what you'd like the night before. She is an excellent cook. The best part of a visit to the Inn is the idyllic backyard (see photo) which is immaculately kept and is stunningly beautiful. It is quite relaxing and serene. Sit and listen to to the quiet. Once you sit down and take in the view, you do not want to move. There is also a screened-in porch for those wishing to avoid the sun and flying annoyances. The property also has access to a nearby pond which is a short walk via a path through the woods across the street. Canoeing and rowing is possible, or simply sit and take in the water view and others enjoying the lake. The Meadow Farm Bed and Breakfast is a lovely oasis.

Many items were really unique and very tasty....I am a big coffee fan and they serve french press. We stayed in the canopy room and enjoyed every inch of the historic house and furniture. The property is relaxing and fun especially visiting the two horses on the property. Make sure you take a short walk through the woods o find the lake with a wonderful view. Already planning the next visit!

Check in was a little wonky as no one is present at the "hotel" everything is done through text. The room is a little dingy. Bathroom fan is LOUD and gross. Rug under bed is dirty. The shower had a ton of hair from previous users. These guys are really cheap and don't let you have access to AC and should really turn it down because the place is lowkey musty. When my husband texted about the shower cleanliness they told us we could shower is another room. Like what?? It's not worth staying here. EDIT: Editing my review to 3 stars because they gave us a partial refund which indicates good customer service to me.

Then we finally got there and parked and it seemed like it was going to be nice. We checked in and were handed the key then the guy followed us to our room and air sprayed the entire room which was our second red flag. We moved past it and it continued to seem nice but then we couldn't find a trash can so we had to use the tiny bathroom trash can for all of our trash. We went to take a shower the next morning and the tub was so filthy and gross and cracked on the bottom and we were both uncomfortable with it. There was a few other little things but nothing crazy. We weren't there for most of that day, but then we got back to the hotel that night and went to sleep, and in the middle of the night the person I was staying with got up to go to the bathroom and there were a few HUGE bugs crawling around and out of the tub. When I was booking the hotel it seemed a lot nicer do not fall for the pictures. The bathroom was small the environment was weird and there were a ton of red flags for both of us. They don't have an ICE MACHINE FOR THE GUESTS!!!! They only have a tiny one in their office that wasn't working either!!! And not accessible for any GUESTS!!! What a TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!
