I have been going to Riviera Spa for many years. Up until the present, the client services have been superb. Michelle and Trish are the BEST nail specialists Dallas has to offer. They are friendly, professional and consistent in every aspcet of their job. However, I am extremely disappoinaited with the behavior and callous attitude of the front desk manager towards the hard working staff. Recently, I have discovered she has been skimming off the top, the tips that I leave for Michelle and Trish, each time I pay with a credit card. I find these actions not only deplorable, but unacceptable in a reputable establishment such as Riviera Spa. I can only hope the knowledgeable owner will make the appropriate and necessary changes to keep his loyal clients from leaving Riviera and seeking services elsewhere, at the MANY other spas in the area. read more

I have gone back three times for facials now. I did not realize what I was missing in my life! I have really acne prone skin and James was amazing! He recommend the perfect treatment for me and gave me great advice. My skin felt so soft after my last appt and my acne looked less angry/inflamed. This was a great experience from start to finish. I received a gift certificate from friends and booked an 80 minute massage. I called when it didn't work for me online and the receptionist was super courteous throughout. Then I got there and the great treatment continued by the receptionist there who was super friendly and set me up in the nice dimly lit room to wait for my appointment with a glass of wine. Then I got my massage from Lisa who was just awesome and as someone else person worked my shoulders hard in the best possible way. I love hearing the popping noise my back makes every times she put pressure on it and works her magic. She is very professional and knowledgeable on how to relieves muscles tension. I have now come here on two different occasions-the first for a massage during their spa month in April and the second time this week for a facial. These experiences were vastly different and if my review was just based on the massage, I would give this place 5 stars. I received an 80 minute prenatal massage the first time that was exceptional. It was one of the best massages I have ever received and I wish I could remember my masseuses name so I could give her props. She initially had me face down with a belly hole, but could sense I was uncomfortable thus layed me on my side which was much better. The 80 minute prenatal massage during spa month was $80 which was awesome. I think it's much pricier normally. My experience this week was meh. I made an appointment for an 80 minute facial with Tal. The facial was to start at 5 PM. She came and got me and talked to me for a couple of minutes about my skin and had me change. She did not come back to the room until 5:15 PM-it doesn't take me 13 minutes to change! The room itself was very warm as it's the heat of June and I'm pregnant, so she turned it down. She would rub some stuff on my face and then pause for several minutes doing nothing, the massage she gave to my arms while a couple of things were drying was very weak and halfhearted. I felt she was just not feeling being there on that day. I will note that she did spend significant time on my extractions. By 6:15 PM she was done with the so called 80 minute facial. As I walked out, I mentioned the time to her and how the facial was a good 20 minutes shorter then it should have been and she initially attributed it to the clock in there being fast. When I told her, no I specifically looked at my i phone when she came in and when she left, she kinda looked embarrassed and just took me to the front where I explained the situation. Given the prices of the services here, at this point I was pretty upsetThe front desk person initially offered to just take 20% off of my bill and said Tal was super busy with back to back appointments all day, however after I asked to speak to the manager they did comp my whole service and offered to have me come in again sometime in the next few months. I truly appreciated the customer service Riviera had to offer and will definitely give their facials another chance given their hospitality and will update my review once I've done that. Maybe Tal had an off day? From what I've heard this place is known for their facials, thus I believe this experience was an anomaly rather then the norm or at least that's what I'm hoping for! read more

You're immediately greeted, checked-in and asked if you want tea or cucumber water. I've been here 3 times after taking advantage of their Black Friday Special and booking multiple massages up to 8 months in advance. This spa was amazing!! My husband and I were in town for an event from out of state and decided to treat ourselves to a couples massage. This place was perfect from start to finish. I can't even think of something I didn't love. The relaxation room was quiet, soft, and comfortable. It also had different beverages (including a mimosa bar), and snacks included. We had Franky and Elizabeth as our massage therapists. They were both extremely attentive and provided exceptional care and service. Probably the best massage experience I've ever had (and it's far from my first). The robes provided were very soft and luxurious. The Riviera is the most wonderful spa! Every time I walk through their doors I am greeted cordially and offered a delicious drink. I recently brought my mom for mani/pedis to check out the new location. And, it is gorgeous. You can relax into a high tech massage chair while getting your nails done and look out into a beautiful courtyard with fountain included. If you are fortunate you may even receive a complimentary neck and shoulder massage. Afterwards, you will feel like a new person. The no chip manicure gets rave review from my mom and friends. I have never been a nail person but I love looking at my hands after I get them done here. They just look so pretty! And, it lasts forever. Ask for Michelle or Trisha, they are experts! They also provide great facials that include excellent advice for following up on your skin care regime. The products they sell in house are also top notch. The best part of the Riviera for me though is how courteous and professional the entire staff proves to be throughout all my experiences. I love a good deep tissue massage and she gives the best. She's super strong and focuses in tight problem areas. During a recent amazing Yelp Elite event, I took advantage of the discounted pricing and bought a couple's massage for my husband and I. I love how high class this spa feels, but without the snob factor. I must reiterate again the staff here are friendly and helpful. My husband had Audra for a masseuse and he said it was the best and most thorough massage he has received to date. I had Brad and he was very strong and thorough as well! We really enjoyed our relaxing massages. I also like that both Audra and Brad consulted with us afterwards on where they noticed problem spots and gave recommendations on what kind of stretches we should do to help relieve it. I had one of the best pedicures ever with Michelle. I'm sorry to hear nail services won't be offered anymore as that tends to complete the package/experience for me. The other lady that did my polish change was wonderful as well. I also had one of the best facials I've ever had with James, and I don't say that lightly as I do have a regular esthetician I usually see. I came in for a break and for the special as my skin had been really dry after vacation on the beach. James made sure to address my specific needs, explained everything along the way and suggested some products while explaining their benefits but not at all being salsey. I greatly appreciated his energy and knowledge. I noticed my skin was soft and glowing through the next day and I'm pretty sure that's never happened with a facial before! I have to also mention that the front desk staff was sooo friendly when I walked in and so helpful throughout my visit. I used to be a regular at Riviera from 11 years ago and their spa package was my birthday treat for years. I'm happy to see it's still a relaxing and friendly environment. My sister had her pre-birthday party prep work scheduled here for our entire crew. Everyone was ready to go the second we walked in. The staff was friendly and the technicians were thorough and skilled. With my short stubby nails, I never expect much out of a manicure, but I was surprised at how nicely they turned out. Back again after another year of pampering at Riviera Spa. It is my quiet place, the refuge from a far too busy schedule at work. Zheger is my go to for curing the stresses in life. Hey massages take away the stress of meetings, planning, and juggling competing priorities. She's also able cure the leg fatigue after a long ski week when I forgot I'm not 19 anymore. I was disappointed when they moved Trish away from facial service but very happy to have her care during the regular mani-pedi. The monthly special pedi is always scrumptious! Such a wonderful spa. Always a 5-star experience! I come here for massages, as I often have back pain from my scoliosis. It had been a few years since being back, but my experience was just as great. I got a deep tissue massage from Lisa. She was wonderful! I am pretty picky when it comes to massage therapists, as I find that many air on the side of caution and do not apply enough pressure. Lisa listened to my needs and gave the exact massage that I came for. The space itself is very clean and relaxing. They are very prompt on time, which I also appreciate. My twin sister and I were celebrating our 30th birthday and this place was amazing! We were talking with Tamieka for months setting this up because we were doing a full day of pampering ourselves. She was courteous, friendly, and VERY flexible! They arranged for people to stay a little after hours to accommodate us. As soon as we walk in the door, earlier than or scheduled time, they asked if wanted any beverage. We decided on Champagne and it was delicious! They were able to get us in early too! My sis had -Claudia and Lauren- and she said they were fanstastic! I had Michelle and Tamieka (yes she is an amazing manager- jumping in when/where needed) and they were amazing also. Throughout the time it was fun and our glasses were always refilled. I had the services completed 12/11/14 and they still look great! The people who work here are professionals in every aspect of the word. They take pride in their work, do a great job, and are incredibly considerate. I have a massage (Charlene), mani (Stacy), and pedi (Trisha) here recently and was impressed by all three. Charlene took time to talk with me about some knee and back pain that I was having and really tailored the massage to alleviate pain in those areas. Stacy and Trisha were incredibly nice and easy to chat with. They did my mani/pedi at the same time so I was able to get in and out quickly since I was there over lunch. Also, this place is spotless. Some "salons" around here are just plain gross. I never worried for a second that everything was perfectly clean here. Definitely recommend it! read more
