Who knew you could find good Indian foot at a place called rix country store?? Had delivered chili chicken, naan, and veg samosas. Very frustrating and disappointing experience today. Total joke of management and customer service. Mistakes happen. I am happy to give multiple chances to restaurants that can address their mistakes honestly and listen to the customer. Unfortunately, the manager here is defensive, argumentative, and doesn't listen. He clearly doesn't care about the customer, the right thing to do, or the reputation of the business. We ordered three subs through the Slice app. One was fine. The fish sub and chicken finger subs we ordered were delivered late at room temperature and had no lettuce or tomato on them - despite the fact that both their app and their paper menu say that lettuce, tomato, and onion comes automatically on every sub. (See photos.) What we received was essentially just meat and sauce on a roll. When I called, the manager argued with me that I didn't select "Lettuce" and "Tomato" when ordering off the app, so that's why I didn't receive it. I explained that I didn't select those because the menu says subs already come with those items and so the app lists them as "Extras" - for which there is a +0.79 charge each (See photos). I explained that we didn't want EXTRA lettuce and tomato, just what should have come on the sub according to their menu. He continued to argue with me in circles that it was my fault for not selecting those items. I said I didn't "select" fish or chicken fingers either and they still came on the sub - because that's what their menu says comes on that item! He kept telling me it was my fault, and then even told me that now I know for next time. So apparently, when your customer is telling you that either your app or your menu is incorrect and misleading, the solution is to tell the customer it's their problem to remember that next time, and not the company's problem to resolve. He asked me what I wanted. I said that I wanted the corrected $40 order delivered to my house. He said he could at best offer me a 50% discount ON MY NEXT ORDER and only after speaking to "his Slice guy". I told him not to worry - there won't be another order. read more

I needed a sheet pizza and some wings to feed a crowd last weekend. I called Rix about an hour before it was needed to schedule a pickup. They could have had my order ready in as little as 25 minutes! Pickup was seamless and they even gave me a stack of plates & napkins. The guys all loved the pizza- said the crust was perfect and sauce was tasty. Wings were devoured in record time so I'm guessing they were delicious. Best of all, it was reasonably priced considering how expensive it's gotten to get pizza & wings these days. read more

The Southtowns don't have many options for Indian food, but as long as there's Rix, I don't need any others! The food is as good as other sitdown options. Everything is fresh and spiced perfectly. This is not your cheap, buffet - type Indian food. The menu offers a lot of options, and I've liked everything I've tried. The store itself is pretty nice but basing the order we placed for a work lunch today. Ordered a large pizza and 4 salads, for delivery. The delivery came about 15 mins before the scheduled time which was nice. Pizza - average. Their crust seemed softer than the past so maybe a new dough or recipe. Wasn't bad but wasn't anything to brag about either. Salads - bad news here. 3 or the 4 were wrong. 2 were missing chicken and some had some stuff we requested not to be added. The lettuce was wilted also and was far from fresh. I'd get their pizza again for a quick lunch but that's it. read more

I have been frequenting this establishment over the past 30 years...but especially over the past 2 weeks! Very dissapointed with this place since new ownership has taken over. Place isn't welcoming anymore, is somewhat dirty in eating area and by registers. Used to be my go-to place for a fish fry. Ordered some online and went in to pick them up and the man who I believe is the owner seem confused and didn't know about my order. Finally pulled it up on his phone and showed it to his cook who also was confused so I know they weren't even started. 15 minutes later they were given to me and I went on my way. My wife and I threw out most of the meal. I had a breaded fish fry, she had the beer battered. Both were over cooked and dry yet full of grease that made parts mushy, yet dry. The fries were overcooked and tasted like the grease was from 40 years ago. Coleslaw was inedible - tasted far too tangy like too much vinegar was put in. Also, hers had bread, mine didn't, and the forgot tarter sauce for both. We both did finish the macaroni salad - that side was good. The restaurant advertises a specific brand of Icelandic fish that it uses - it doesn't taste like the same fish as was used previously but I could be wrong there. Previous ownership/staff/food was 5/5. If I could give this zero stars I would. We won't be back - which is a shame because previous fish frys were THAT GOOD. read more

6 minutes ago Rix's is on my way home I've been a customer a large portion of my life I was dumb founded yesterday when I stopped in and the woman checking people out was not wearing a mask handling food etc etc Then proceeded to cash out the mailman behind me that was not masked either. Not like it USED TO BE? Strange feeling when I walked in actually...used to be people greeting you at the counter...no one around. Floor dirty at 11am? Seemed odd since they opened shortly prior. Ordered the pizza/drink special - pizza cold at 11am? Not very good either. Went to fill fountain drink - no ice. Soda not calibrated correctly either - mostly carbonation and no syrup - yuck. Asked for ice and got a dirty look. Sat in dining area and was dirty with no plastic knives to be had and condiments empty and dirty. My last visit. I can only hope that this isn't the same owner because he would be disappointed in his help/condition of store and product quality. Wonder if the other location off 240 went down hill drastically also. Oh and fix your door, it slams and doesn't open properly. Avoid this place now. read more

Used to be my favorite but lately not up to par. Could it be due to new ownership? Taking a break for awhile. Will try again in a month or two. Well I went back and tried them again. The place is an absolute mess the last few months. They hardly have the heat on. The older guy working had a hooded sweatshirt and winter hat on. There was a little portable heater behind the counter. Lights are burned outbox turned off in sections of the store and coolers. The pizza was awful. Had to be half a day old at least. Half the TVs have been off for the last two months. I smashed the guy before what was up and he said "issues with the server." That's not it. They are trying to save money by cutting heat and electricity down along with not paying for the TVs to all be functioning. The shelves were half stocked. I used to go there several times a month. I will not be visiting this store again until it reopens after they go out of business. read more

I've usually been pleased with Rix... been a patron for twenty years. But today I had to wait at the store for 30 minutes to get my fish dinner.Read every paper! I think I was supposed to get coleslaw too but it was missing. I called in the order at 5 pm ,drove over around 5:25 then had to wait till 5:55! Fish was a little dry too. I trust this is an aberration. But there are a lot of places offering fish fries out there ...just saying! read more

I will never step foot in there again. Several months ago I decided to try there food for the first time. I got the fingers they were really good. Since then however it seems as though they have lost all employees and respect for customers. 2 weeks ago I went in for the second time. The old lady T the counter was talking on her cell. It was a personal phone call. At first I didn't know what I wanted so I ignored it. Then when I had decided I walked down to where she was an stood there staring at her for prob a good two minutes. That really bothered me as I work in customer service. Then when she finally told the person she had a customer, and hung up, I said can I get an order of chicken fingers. She said "now!?" In a rude tone. "The kitchens closed!" I looked at the cl9ck it was 7:40 by then. To me that's crazy. Why would they be closed. I said "well ur open signs on so you should shut it off. And ypur customer service sucks!" Anfd walked out. I was hoping this was just some old lady who needed money an prob wouldn't be there again. An hey I liked the food. So today I went again figured no biggie. I walked in and an old guy was in front of the counter. I asked him what time the kitchen closes he told me 9pm. It was around 8. I asked for a chicken finger dinner. Then he stood there for a min prob hitting a bunch of diff buttons. Wild guess is he s the owner an the woman's his wife. I saw her in the back talking to two younger boys. Clearly workers. Neither her nor the man wore uniforms, normally something owners do. He called to her in the back for help. She started to walk up front and I said "why did u tell me the kitchen was closed the last time I was here?" "She said it closes at 8:45" and I said "yea it was 7:30" she said "no it was 8:30" and I said "either way the kitchen wasn't closed, you lied" and in the middle of me talking she tried walking away from me. " I said no come back here, I want to talk to you" but she continued to walk away from me and threatened to call the cops. I said "go ahead, you work 8n customer service and I want to talk to you." Yes I was clearly heated but she went over board. He said I needed to leave I just kept saying no I want to talk. I said "your wife treated me like crap the last time I was here. You don't treat customers like that." He said I'm no longer welcome, and I said don't worry I'm never coming back, your wife's a bitch! As I walked out, "im never coming back, ever!" I've never in my life been pushed to the point of yelling while trying to order food. Or walked away from. I may have gone over board to but you should never argue with a customer, ignore them, or walk away. EVER. ESPECIALLY AS AN OWNER. THEY SHOULD KNOW BETTER. Gave them a second chance, ordered a Royal Sub, again, no cappicaloa ham on it. So disappointed. The workers don't have a clue! Management sucks. You will never get what you ordered! Since new ownership, quality has gone down 10 fold! Too bad. read more

Today I went in with friends to get lunch, all of us are former employees of Rix. While waiting to order our food, a red headed cashier was too busy speaking to her boyfriend in the dinning hall to wait on us. When our orders were finally ready, 2 out of the 4 were incorrect. When we mentioned that the food was incorrect the employee was rude, argumentative, and walked away from the table. When a cook came back out she offered to make us new food free of charge, but still was quite rude to us. When they brought out the remade food, the orders were still incorrect. After eating our (incorrect) food. We were not even able to throw out trash because the garage can was over flowing. Rix used to be a great restaurant, but they might want to train better/re-staff. read more

Used to be amazing. Not so much anymore. Bread is now imported from somewhere else, smaller, thinner and more narrow. The quality was diminished severely. Still ok but not amazing. Both locations suffer from an owner cutting corners and trying to save money while causing the food quality to suffer. read more

Rix has gone way down hill. we ordered a beef taco that maybe had a tablespoon of beef. it was mostly all flour tortilla shell. we ordered a julienne salad that came with no meat. we ordered wings that were so small and overcooked we couldn't chew them. the price was way too high for the poor quality of food this restaurant is putting out. do yourself a favor and don't eat at Rix Country Store. read more
