Went to JustLoveCoffee on a cold weekend morning. They have a good Winter and Valentine's Day drink menu. I got a regular tall coffee, which was hot fresh and good. My wife tried one of their holiday specials, the white chocolate raspberry. It had a very good flavor. However, it was definitely not hot. In fact, it was barely above room temperature. A stretch to call it even warm. You can order the drink hot or cold and we ordered it hot. I've attached a picture after she had a few sips. She said she had to drink it quickly, before it got any colder, and couldn't wait for me to take my picture. We come here quite often. This is the first time we have been served a drink that was not to temperature. We did notice a lot of new faces for the wait staff. It was also much slower than normal to obtain our beverage. Both these factors may have caused the drink to not be up to par with regards to temperature. We will not let this experience taint us from returning. Always on the hunt for good coffee around Indy, my wife and I checked out Just Love Coffee Cafe in Carmel--and it did not disappoint. The first thing that caught our attention was the menu. Everything is "waffled," which sounds gimmicky at first, but actually works really well. I got the Bacon Tater waffle--basically tater tots and bacon pressed into a waffle shape with melted cheddar--and it was way better than I expected. Crispy, cheesy, savory goodness. My wife went with one of the sweet waffles and loved it. You can tell they're not just throwing things together--there's some real creativity in the food. The coffee was just as solid. I went with their house brew, which was smooth and easy to sip. My wife had the White Chocolate Tiramisu latte--sweet but not over the top, with a nice rich flavor. The space itself is cozy and relaxed, with a friendly vibe that makes you want to stay a while. Staff were super welcoming and helpful, which always adds to the experience. What really stood out to me, though, is their backstory. The cafe originally started as a way to support families going through adoption, and they still give back to different causes. This was my gf and I's first time tying Just Love, and we were pleasantly surprised! We decided to share our meals. I got the BLT Sandwich and she got breakfast platter, and for coffee; the Cha-Cha and toffee coffees, which were very good! We ordered a small and it felt like a lot! I want to say I love this place because it is just around the corner from where I live and would be super convenient to walk to for a quick coffee break. However my first experience was not top notch. I walked in with my baby in her stroller and walked right up to order. Ordered with no problem and had time to look at everything around the store. There were three tables at the time and it was a Monday at 2:30pm. I received my drink and had ordered a quesadilla that I was waiting for. When I initially got there the cook was making a dish but did not seem busy other than that. People came in to pick up orders (food orders) while I was standing there. Okay, no problem. About 5 customers came in and the cashier seemed as though she had to multi task a lot. Taking orders and payment, making the drinks, and also helping with food orders. The cook would also come out to run food orders but making their way to the kitchen did not really say excuse me or anything- just expected you to move. The cashier was busy at this point. She took care of her line and asked what I was waiting for and I told her. At this point I had been waiting for about 20-25 minutes. Once all other customers had gone and were taken care of (some even getting their food) the people behind the counter searched and found my quesadilla in a bag for someone else's order. It had been done the entire time I was standing there.. because of the wait time, disorder, and the mediocre food on top of everything- I will not be back. We both got a womelet (shape of a waffle) and while they were good, I would've preferred a regular omelet. The waffle style felt too airy for me and not dense like a traditional one. They were pretty room temp when we got them and not hot. I would come back for their pastries and coffee cakes which looked amazing but probably not for the omelets. Lovely little spot for breakfast or brunch. I was on my way yo a Yelp event and decided to treat myself to breakfast. The staff were welcoming and friendly and the restaurant is very spacious with lots of seating. They even have games to keep kids entertained. I got the breakfast sandwich with the waffle and the sandwich was huge but delicious and filling. I especially enjoyed the sausage. Most places I've found the sausage to be overly salty and overwhelming but this sausage patty was perfectly cooked and lightly seasoned. They give you some syrup for your waffle if you choose to drizzle it. I also got a latte which was delicious, hot with just a hint of sweetness. They have an extensive selection of syrups for your coffee, so you'll never get bored. Some places the coffee gets bitter but this was a very enjoyable cup of coffee. I stopped into Just Love on a Sunday morning, looking for coffee and a light breakfast. I love trying local coffee shops, so I was excited to visit and check it out. I ordered a spiced brown sugar latte, and a breakfast taco. My latte was absolutely beautiful, had a lovely layer of froth, and had great flavor without being overpoweringly sweet. I seriously enjoyed it! The breakfast taco was also good, and I liked that you could customize it by choosing which 2 toppings you'd like included. When I ordered though, I learned that bizarrely, eggs are not an included topping... so really you get eggs in your taco, and one topping. I ended up paying an extra charge to have a third topping. Management, consider clarifying the menu or just including eggs. It really isn't a "breakfast taco" without egg included! :D But overall, the shop is very cute, bright, welcoming, and has plenty of seating. I enjoyed the visit and my meal! I avoided this restaurant for years. I have a confession. I have a weakness for waffles. This shop had several waffle options that looked enticing, and the only way to avoid temptation safely was not to try them. But a meeting was required, and this was the place chosen, and I was really hungry. I tried the Womlette,, Womelette, which includes eggs, sausage, cheddar cheese, onions, and peppers, all mixed into the waffle and served with sour cream or salsa. It sounds strange, but it ended up being really good! The service was excellent, and the decor was open and bright. They have outdoor seating, and it's usually quiet and relaxed so it makes a great space to meet and have a conversation. There was a good reason I avoided this place. Now that I know the food is really good, I find myself patronizing Just Love Coffe Cafe way more than I planned. While I hope you try this restaurant please be aware that if waffles call to you, you may find yourself wandering into this shop more often than you planned, and that's not necessarily a bad thing. read more

This is a really cute cafe with tons of yummy offerings. I ordered the half sandwich and soup combo. The "classic" grilled cheese was anything but classic... and it was to-die-for! The cheese pull was exceptional and it's toasted in a waffle iron, so it's fun too! I also ordered a caramel frappe and that was delicious and not overly sweet. Unfortunately, they were experiencing some issues with their steamer table (or so I was told) so the soup wasn't hot when it came out the first time. But when I brought it to their attention, the issue was taken care of immediately and I was then served a piping hot cut of soup....perfect for dipping my grilled cheese into! They had samples of some of the baked goods available for tasting and the blueberry scone (also made in a waffle iron) was the softest scone I've ever had. I have had the bacon tater which is shredded hash browns that have been cooked in a waffle iron with bacon and cheese. I've also tried the chicken salad which is served on a croissant. I've finished each meal with a coffee, and they have different specialty lattes. My first visit I was highly impressed with the service and friendliness of staff. The staff helped me navigate the menu. I really like their online menu as you can see pictures of everything and understand how they are incorporating waffles. My friend suggested that I give this place another try and I am honestly glad that I did! They have good coffee and good food. The service was good the last time I went as well. I also appreciate that they have mixed seating, between couches, comfy chairs, and tables with charging outlets. I ordered the Sausage Egg and Cheese Biscuit, their Nanna's Cinn Rolls and an Iced Latte. The Sausage Egg and Cheese Biscuit was good! It comes on a waffle and with a side of Sausage Gravy to dip it in - YUM! Cute coffee shop with a unique breakfast menu. I stopped in on a Saturday around 10:30am and it was packed. In addition to people dining in, there were a lot of people picking up to-go orders too. Even though we had about a 20-minute wait for our drinks, that just shows me that it's definitely worth it since there was so much interest. I had the spiced apple chai-der and my brother had the peppermint mocha. Both were really delicious. We didn't get breakfast this time but I saw and smelled some of the waffles and womelettes that folks were ordering and they definitely looked good. I have been to Just Love a few times and have been satisfied each time! When you first look at the menu, it almost seems like everything is made out of waffle. There are waffles, but a lot of their stuff is just put in a waffle maker. For instance, a womlette is an omelette that is cooked in a waffle maker, so it looks like a waffle but isn't actually a waffle. The biscuit sandwich is biscuit mix put into a waffle maker, the potato cakes are tater tots in the shape of a waffle, etc. I haven't been disappointed with the lattes and they have a good variety of syrups! They have seasonal drinks if you're wanting to try something new. The food is good too! My family have had quite a few items on the menu and always end up ordering the slider and womlette. This is one of those 3.5 star reviews. My experience was almost good, but in the end, it was just OK. I ordered a black coffee, and it was fine. From reading other reviews, it sounds like I should have ordered a flavored coffee drink, because it sounds like their lattes are really good. Maybe next time! We walked in not knowing that 90% of the menu had waffles in it, and we were surprised when we ordered our food and it was made with waffles. For instance, my husband ordered the Sausage, Egg and Cheese Biscuit, thinking that it was going to include a biscuit, but instead ... there was a waffle. I guess he should have read the menu closer, but to be honest, I'm not even sure there was a description on the menu when ordering at the restaurant. And when you read the description on their website, there isn't any mention of a waffle -- it says biscuit. Hmm. I think maybe they should change the name of the sandwich to Sausage, Egg and Cheese Waffle Sandwich, just to avoid confusion! I got the Avocado Toast, but it was actually a waffle with avocado on it. For this one, it actually says on their online menu that the avocado toast is made with sourdough bread, so it was a surprise to me to get a waffle with avocado on top of it. Avocado waffle might sound interesting in theory, but it didn't work for me. I love waffles a lot, but I am not a fan of surprise waffles. I think if I knew the items on the menu were made with waffles, then my experience might have been different. But, now you know: They got lots of waffles up in here. I don't know. I think I need to start anew with this place and try it again, because I really want to like it as much as everyone else.
